I would love to go back to this hotel if I am ever back to SFO.. Good locations.. 24 HR eating outlet just opp the hotel. Mins walk to Union Square! Love it !!!!

was very satisfied with our stay ,cleanliness of the hotel and room . Service of house keeping was almost instant. Thank you will return.

so so...the angle of the room picture gave the appearance that it was much bigger then actually is, one chair and bed for two people,did ask for additional chair was told "not possible". Lovely staff.

I spent 7 days at the Diva on Geary and found it to be an excellently located central location in the heart of San Francisco. The service was open and friendly (not stuffy) and hotel amenities good-the fast free Internet was a bonus. Everything you need is within a few blocks and the concierge happy to make those essential bookings and give tips on sightseeing, etc. I would recommend this place if you want great location along with clean, comfortable and affordable.

Perfect location! Not far at all from union square but nice to not be too close to all the hustle. Clean and friendly. Super pet friendly as I travel with my fur baby! Would definitely stay here again. The free internet access was great, and the complimentary saki every evening was a bonus!

The hotel was over priced. They did a poor job of remodeling a old building and it was apparent. The bathrooms were not big enough to close the door while using the facilities as it became extremely cramped. The set up of he rooms were so different yet priced the same despite some bathrooms being much larger. I feel that I paid same price as my traveling friend yet she had a huge bathroom and I had something not even big enough to dry off in. When services were requested from front desk it took upwards of an hour to get things like towels and new batteries for remote control. The room was filthy with dirty walls and had terrible lighting.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect. A short walk to the shops of Union Square. Rooms were nice with a modern feel. Fun atmosphere. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Exactly what you would expect from a boutique hotel.

We loved our stay at Hotel Diva! The staff are extremely helpful and will answer all the questions you may have. Everyone is very friendly, polite, and professional, which is something I always appreciate. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We got free wi-fi throughout the hotel and the overnight valet parking offered at Hotel Diva is below average cost in this area of SF! The only thing that could have been better is cellphone reception.

We loved the location, the staff were kind and helpful, rooms are claen and very comfortable. We will stay here again....and again and again.

Six floors up but we could have been sleeping on the street. This hotel needs double paned windows to damper the sounds from the very busy street. Protestors woke us up before 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Toilet wouldn't flush. Bad experience overall.

The Diva is situated close to Union Square for tour buses, shopping, safe walking, and the restaurant suggestions were spot on; however, it was definitely NOT worth the price. The walls are paper thin and the hall is narrow, so we heard every door open and close throughout the night. Although we had paid in full through Hotels.com, the desk clerk made a copy of our credit card but failed to explain why. My partner happened to be checking our credit-card charges online and noticed $100 charged to Diva. He carried his laptop to the lobby and showed the clerk. She explained that they used our card # to charge us $100 "in case" we damaged the room or took some of their flimsy towels. She went on to say that they would remove the charge if the room looked good when we left. AMAZING!! The charge was finally removed four days after we checked out. The "morning coffee and tea" is in packets in the room, not at a station in the lobby as most "boutique hotels" offer. We would not recommend this to friends.

It was a fun room and the decore gave me somthing to talk about. the location was great and the staff was very accomodating

The staff here are very guest oriented. All staff we interacted with were very pleasant and cordial. The best part was the location of the hotel. It is close to Union Sq and right across the theater. Lots of restaurants are nearby.

Perfect location! Stayed in 417-no views but very private and quiet with all the bustle of the streets below. Large room size with queen bed, desk, sitting area. Hotel close to everything! We self parked our car in the lot across from Ruby Skye for a little less than hotel valet. Bed was soo cozy and we loved the new mixed with the older building. Will stay here again and again!

This hotel is great. Location is convenient and the rooms are big and comfortable, which is rather peculiar for San Francisco. Don't let the small lobby fool you, this place is great. Would stay there again.

I'm not one who takes time to write reviews but for DIVA I will. From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming and friendly. They weren't as knowledgeable about restaurants and hot spots as I would have like but other than that they were great. The rooms were clean, a little small but this is SF right!? LOVED the window shades (you'll have to see for yourself) ~ but if you can't find your inner DIVA after seeing them, this is the wrong place for you to stay! WHEN I return to SF I will def stay here again, great location very central to everything. And may I HIGHLY recommend the mexican restaurant next door...great food and friendly staff as well! Fish tacos and ceviche are a must!

PROs: the location is great. its like 2 or 3 city blocks to union square. it definitely has 'personality' that stood out to me from other hotels around the same price range. Complimentary sake for happy hour, they have both warm and cold. Next door is starbucks, down the block is CVS pharmacy and jack and the box for any 'emergencies' they validate parking if you have any friends that want to come visit CONs: Walls are thin. They pick up the garbage at like 3 or 4 in the morning and it can get loud. If you can, request a room on the opposite side of the hotel. The bedding and pillows are uncomfortable. Bring your own pillow. Pay for parking, and depending on when you want it, the wait can be really long. So, it's best to call ahead while you're getting ready. If it's a weekend, and during the morning/day I suggest you call at least 30 minutes ahead. Remember, they tax the parking so it's like five bucks more than what they state. The rooms and lobby are redone, but the hallways and stairways look like there's construction going on. The room is pretty small, but the decor is nice

small bathroom, no view at all but room was large & comfortable elevator broke down right at happy hour which made me unhappy ha! all & all we enjoyed our stay & would return again

Stayed in the hotel for one night when my friend had to go away for the weekend. Was great to stay in town, right by Union Square and all the shopping. I didn't feel overly safe in the area at night though, but during the day it was fine. Safe were very friendly and helpful and stored my bags all day after check out. They also recommended restaurants and bars in the area. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in San Francisco again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was quiet and cozy and very clean. The concierge was friendly and available for all our questions and requests. Once cautionary comment: they seem to have the world's smallest toilets ;)

We were upgraded to the best room- had a fireplace, separate living room and kitchenette, delightful artsy decor, friendly, helpful staff, close to restaurants and shopping, and cable cars

I loved the place. Room lovely, comfy bed, grey on walls restful, small bath , but just me anyway. Loved being close to everything. wish starbucks did room service, but appreciated they were there.. appreciated coffee maker and the refridge. need betterlighting, The reading laps by the bed were great. Staff very responsive, kind and polite.Rodney is attentive and very fun to talk to. Keep him around. He's a great character.. WHAT'S UP WITH THE CABLE??? I Don't wish to sit around all day watching soaps, but at night I would love a movie or some HGTV or other cable choices. Also, reception was poor on some stations. Why don't you just get cable for Pete's sake?!! V

The staff was very friendly. One of the concierges, a man, lived much of his life in San Francisco and was knowledgeable about music venues and nearby restaurants. It is a great location, just one block from Union Square. The parking is awful and costs for hotel to do so, but that is the same for all of the hotels in the area. Starbucks in the lobby was good in the morning.

Location is great if you are looking to be close to union square. The two big drawbacks are the rooms are TINY and the walls are paper thin. It is difficult for two people to get around the room without bumping into each other and you can hear your neighbor's conversation even when speaking at a normal volume.

While I do have to say that I did love the location of this place, the standard room that I received from them after booking on hotels.com was not up to par with what I expected. The room was uncomfortably cold and the Window AC/Heater, only seemed to blow cold air. The room was on the 2nd floor and the city noises pierced threw the walls of the building. My favorite thing was the throw on the end of the bed, which was extremely soft . All in all, I would defiantly pick another hotel, or at the minimum make sure that you get a bigger room, on a higher up floor. I had a hard time sleeping without being woke by the city.

Good price and great location. The room was small but perfectly fine. Only complaint was the TV didn't work well. Not many channels and grainy picture. Very comfortable beds and staff was great.

The room was small but the design was very sexy. Wonderful king sized bed and headboard. Other nice touches. The bathroom is small too worked for us because they had a separate dressing area. The free sake after 4 was a nice plus. Next door to a Starbucks and a great mexican bar. Just turn left going out of the hotel for a walk because a right turn takes you into a dicey neighborhood after a couple of blocks.

Just around the corner from the upscale neighbor hood ...just around the corner from the hood minus the neighbor..The room looked shiek ...but it was freezing and the 2ft long radiator heater didn't cut it.. Valet was nearly half of the the hotel rate but they did have a complimentary MAC computer in the room.

The pictures do not give you teh entire story. Reserved a mini suite, got upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were sooooo small you could not even set the suitcase anywhere. Bathroom very old. Sicks sooooo small you could not even wash your hands without spilliing water all over. Definitely pay a bit more a go to a nicer hotel.

We stayed in the family suite and it was just great for our family. Comfortable and clean. Ideal location for vacation in San Francisco. Would stay there again and recommend to friends. Staff was very friendly and kind.

Last year for NYE we stayed at Hotel Nikko. We enjoyed our stay and decided to come back this year, however, because we made our arrangements at the last minute hotel prices were sky high. So, we decided to try Hotel Diva because it was inexpensive, near union square, and looked nice in the pictures online. Staff was very friendly, and the bed was super comfortable, but the rooms were small, had absolutely NO view (our window had frosted glass on it to hide the fire escape and brick wall), the block that it's on is kind of dicey, and ... well it felt like a renovated brothel. We won't be staying there again.

Really fun hotel in a great location...Highly recomended

The price was amazing compated to other hotels for the day before new years. I had my dog with me and he was welcome which was a plus for me being that he is a pitbull and very rarely gets the chance to stay in nicer hotels (kimptons allow him as well). The neighborhood has all sorts of night life, despite the riffraff that makes up geary street.. I would avoid the card board pizza distribution attemt of a restaurant next door though..

Great location! But very noisy if you want to sleep late. Service is excellent! Would stay again! Room with 2 double beds is a bit small for 4 persons...but would stay again with less persons in room!

I like this hotel. It was clean, the staff is friendly however be sure to call for your car well in advance if valet parked.. I waited 45 minutes for my car in the lobby with 2 kids not a great way to end my stay. You can't beat the location. All in all great hotel I would stay again

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at the Hotel Diva. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel seemed to have been recently renovated, and the room was tastefully designed and very comfortable. Also, there was free Wifi -- other hotels I stayed at charged an outrageous fee. The next time I stay in San Francisco I'm definitely going to stay here again.

Location is ok, the rooms r much better. A good hotel for the price. Don't expect to get many movie channels here. Just the basics
