Days Inn Athens - آثينا

We stayed four days while my daughter checked out a local college. Kim at front desk was very courteous and nice when we checked in. The process was smooth and quick. Housekeeping was very visible and helpful. Close to several restaurants and gas stations. Four nights was a little long to stay, but it fit my budget. I would recommend for one or two night stay.

Very helpful and friendly at the desk, as we had made arrangements for the wrong night (our error on-line), and they helped us get it changed without a fee. Continental breakfast could have been better maintained, but was adequate. Possibly a bit understaffed. Carpet in room probably needed shampooing. Overall, it was fine.

VERY SATISFIED

Wouldn t recommend this hotel. The sink was dirty and the carpeted floor was really dirty. I just felt it was not clean..the front desk people were great tho. I stayed because of location and price but will not stay again..

Experiences vary from person to person, and Im sure that they vary from room to room. I have stayed at days inn locations for a very long time, this was the worse experience I have had. The experience began with being told that I could not check in early, (around 10:00) most Days Inn locations I have stayed at have accomodated an early check in. I was told check in was at 12:00, I came back at 2:30 and was told the room was ready, almost. There were no pillow cases. I had been on the road and was tired, I did not want to wait for pillow cases. The door to the room would not close all the way, there were huge gaps all around the door where you could see someone walk by, the door jiggled back and forth and left me with no sense of security at all, however I was tired so I slept anyways...lol. The other thing was the smell of the room. Right around the door, there was a mildew smell that filled up the room, since the door doesnt close well at all, I imagine that the water just blows by the door and sits there until it mildews. Also, the pool had been closed, one of the reasons I stay at Days Inn is because I can swim after a days work, makes for a relaxing time... Overall, not a good stay at this particular Days Inn location. I am a contractor and have been travelling to this area of Alabama since the tornado hit limestone county, I prefer to stay at the Days Inn in Priceville, which is about 17 miles out of the way, and usually cheaper for some reason.

Our first room had dirty towels on the table and piles of dirt and debris with missing furniture and it smelled really bad. We were moved to another room which was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was pretty good with waffle maker, cereal, biscuits,juice and coffee.

The hotel was better than expected. It was kid friendly and located near all the fast food places and stores. My overall experience was great!

When I checked into the room at 9pm there was not phone. I was told that something was the wiring was bad and that if I needed a phone that I would have to move to another room. At 2am, I woke with 2 spiders crawling on me. I will not be going back......

Friendly staff, good location, a bit too small for real comfort, especially for more than one night. If microwave and fridge are provided, as they were, this signals that the room might be used for more than a one night visit. And that says the room should be larger and more commodius. Otherwise, omit the amenities and reduce the price for a one night visit.

Nice hotel, would stay there again, friendly staff.
