Ambassador Hotel New Orleans - نيو أورليانز

Needed a dbl bed room asked and was accommodated. The room we received was kinda tucked away with no view but great for really getting some sleep. The a/c worked really well froze us out of there. It needs alittle better linens especially for good a/c. Bring some blankets. Close to everything good pay to park and well maintained. Thumbs up.

Room was very large with lots of room. Great location. Close to everything you would want to do in New Orleans. I would stay in this hotel again next time we are in New Orleans.

My biggest issue was the 4pm check-in time. Plus, the 9.95 fee that is not optional but mandatory. I arrived for a one night stay early one morning. I was told I couldn't check in before 4pm. Furthermore, I had to pay a $9.95 fee for breakfast that began at 7:30 am... well, my flight departed the next morning at 6:30am. Despite the fact that I was NOT using any of the services included in the $9.95 fee, I was still made to pay it. Overall, I felt a little conned. The place was decent and the staff was nice.

The building is one of the original structures in the area but with a modern twist. I like the wooden flooring in the room. The room was very clean and homely, I like the ceiling fan even though that AirCon work just fine. The carpet in the hallways show some wear and should be replace soon. The hotel is walking distance from much of the night life in the area which is great. The biggest issue is parking. The hotel have valet parking that cost quite a bit a night since their parking area is a block down the street. It would have been easier parking outside the downtown area and taking a taxi to the hotel just to drop off your luggage. The staff was always pleasant and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

We loved the stay in New Orleans. The hotel was located in the center of the business district. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast was to simple they should take an example from Country Inn Suites.The overall rate was to high also. This was not a $200.00 per night hotel.

Very disappointed in service/room location. Very loud music/noise till 2am and slick hardwood floors. The only good thing was being close to convention center.

If you dont like the noise of the French Quarter this is more up your alley. Not that far to walk to things either!

Confortable for every thing during my stay.

Hotel was a good location. Clean rooms but small. All staff were polite and helpful. I would go there again.

Basic hotel in great location. One complaint is that no room service, no way to get any food to room. They should have an arrangement with the bar which is connected to the Hotel.

Booked at the last minute and got a great rate, plus a half off parking coupon! The entire staff was amazing - front desk was attentive and had great suggestions for where to go in the city, valet staff was friendly, and Rick from the maintenance team even lent me his iPhone charger! I loved the hardwood floors and the bar attached to the lobby. I will definitely be back!

Located just a few easy walking blocks from the French Quarter - so you are able to get out of the partying of the quarter. Close to the riverfront, Garden District and uptown, Treme, Downtown, etc... all the areas of interest. Original room we were given was a ground floor corner room and rather tight. We requested to move to another room due to the noise all night outside our room, from people leaving the hotel bar, and just hanging out on the corner outside our room. The room we moved into was on the third floor, spacious and quiet, very nice. The only complaint was the appearance of one very large cockroach on our last day. However, this should not be so surprising given it is an older building, boutique hotel, in a humid, urban area. These critters are part of life, especially in these types of areas. Being a big wuss - I requested help from the front desk, and a very nice staff member came up to the room to deal with the insect for me (I'm sure he was laughing at us - but was kind enough to never let on!). Overall, I found the hotel to have the charm we were looking for with the hard wood floors and exposed brick walls. Nice bar, but the sports on the TV's were playing way too loud.

While the Ambassador is an old building, it was very comfortable. However, my bed felt like it had a plastic covering under the sheets - a little odd. And the room had all wood flooring and was slick, especially walking around in socks. I might stay here again, but mostly for the location. It was a block from the casino and some good restaurants, and away from the noise of Bourbon Street.

Well the place is not bad, old world charm. That being said the window need not have been kept unclean to keep up with the old world charm. The bed was a little shaky. The floor was super waxed, like super, i was slipping just walking on bare feet. The room was nice. the air con worked super well. The room was of a decent size. The people were polite. The breakfast was well... you get the point. It is a decent place. laid back service. I would stay there again if I was on a budget, this place does the trick. The rooms are pretty decent.The toilet was stained, I guess they could do with out that. Beware they have rooms with out windows too ( A friend of mine got that) So you might want to confirm before getting there.

Loved the location of the hotel. Directly across from Harrah's Casino and 5 blocks from Bourbon St. It was too cool how the original beams, plaster and brick work and original hardwood floors were exposed through out the hotel. It definitely gave it that old timey but classy feel. The bathrooms are definitely were some attention needs to be placed. It definitely looked a lil wornout and boring. My only true issue was the $32.00 per night parking. Thank goodness we were only there for one night so we were able to park via meter parking for free until 0700 that next morning. Overall experience was unmatched by those chain hotels.

The hotel is older. Rates are reasonable for the location. Rooms could be cleaner but the location is very good. Staff were helpful. Would stay there again on my next trip.

Beds were not comfortable, walls very thin you could hear everything your neighbor was saying. Not enough space in bathroom.

Check in was slow but staff very courteous. Ice machine located in a maze of hallways.

the condition of the room is a OK, however it was very noisy, you can hear all the things happening next door to you, don't mention the air conditioner. Considering I paid over $700 for 3 nights, I expected better.

At Ambassador my night was excellent, the room was cozy super clean and neat. Decoration was charming, excellent rates. Location was very convenient since I had to run some errands in the surrounding neighborhood. There are many places to dine and drink nearby. Complimentary breakfast was kind of late at 7:30am, since travelers like me have to work at office hours you have to run to be on time so I did not have the time to benefit from my complimentary breakfast. Customer service at reception was deficient, during registration I was not informed of the amenities: Free wifi. Complimentary breakfast, Happy hour at the Bar. The receptionist was always more interested on the administrative or paperwork she was doing and not on the customers that were coming to the hotel. I think that New Orleans is a great city; people that work in the hospitality business must make an extra effort to make visitors want to come back again.

the location was nice. Breakfast was OK. We had a little bit of noise from the room upstair.

Air conditioner wasn't working well, hot in room. Toilet wouldn't flush. No breakfast in the breakfast room, was told truck didn't arrive, so no more food. Wooden floors, so you hear every move the person is making above you and next to you, kids got very scared. Glass doors with a blind in it so alot of light from the hallway shines through it at night. Complained and they moved us to another room upstairs, was a little quieter.

We enjoyed our one night stay here before leaving for our cruise the next day. The hotel is near the Port and made for easy access. The parking in the front of the hotel is limited so trying to wait for a spot in order to check in may take a few trips around the block.

The hotel is beautiful and charming . Sadly, the rooms are not insulated at all and conversations and boisterous guests in neighboring rooms are easily heard and prevented us from getting much sleep.

Nice hotel in an old converted coffee warehouse. Convenient to the French Quarter. No on-site parking. Valet parking was $32 a day regular price. Thank goodness we got a 50% discount through hotels.com. Also we were charged a $9.95 fee for the wi-fi and continental breakfast which was advertised on hotels.com as free.

We enjoyed the stay at the hotel. However, promptness of cleaning the room was not good and not all supplies for the bathroom were replaced when they needed to be. Personnel were polite but some of the cleaning people spoke no English so it was difficult getting needs met. Room was clean. The exposed brick wall was not exposed brick but exposed cement...the room still had character though.

This hotel offered a great value for its price and location. It was great for visiting the River Walk, Aquarium, Insectarium, etc. for our family vacation in NOLA. The room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accomodating.

Pretty good - but there were a few annoyances. Took 20min to check in because the front desk was on a "call". Housekeeping didn't make it around until after 5pm one day. I don't understand the $10/day "Mandatory Fee". If it's mandatory, roll it into the price of the room. The continental breakfast was a joke. Overall, it was a pretty good place. Quaint, clean and cozy.

The hotel was built in an old coffee warehouse so if you are expecting all the amenities of a modern hotel, this is not the place for you. If you like a touch of history, you will enjoy your stay. I was walking distance to Canal Street, the Harrah's casino, the French Quarter and Burbon Street. I basically used the hotel for a bed and a shower and spent the rest of my time enjoying the city.

Front desk staffl are not friendly, they look stressed out and have a lack of personality.

The Hotel was okay for the time we spent there; however, the room we stayed in was very small and there was very little closet space. The room did not seem as clean as we would have liked on the first night in. The service was great at the front desk. Location was great for the event we attended. We booked through Hotels.com and was not told that there was a $9.95 for breakfast which was continental and NOT the best. Overall, the Hotel stay was good and we really enjoyed the staff.

The room was larger than a usual hotel room and it was clean. But it had no window. (First time staying in a hotel room with no window!!). More importantly during the night there was constant noise in the water pipes, like someone was banging on them with a hammer. I could hardly sleep. I mentioned it to the receptionist, and she said they'd look into it. I couldn't be the only one complaining about this loud noise, so I don't think they'd look into it. I booked the hotel on Hotels.com, and there was no mention of parking fee. Vallet parking is $32. I parked across the street in a public parking for $29 to be able to access my car more easily. Don't recommend this hotel at all.

Overall it was a good experience. Loved the proximity to our favorite restaurant. Loved the character of the hotel. It could use some updates to the overall cleanliness and comfort but I would recommend this hotel especially to conventioneers.

The first room they put me in was absolutely beautiful - the hardwood floors, high ceilings, and exposed brick they advertise online. What they failed to tell me is there was a bar with an outdoor patio literally right outside my window. I think the person who booked my room assumed I was in nola to party because I'm young, but I was here for a conference and wasn't able to fall asleep until 3am when people left. In the morning I requested a new room, so I checked out and left my stuff at the front desk for a few hours and came back. When I went to my new room, it was 1/3 of the size and my window opened to a brick wall. Whatever, it's not like I was planning on spending much time there. It would have been nice to have a comparable room since I payed plenty to stay there, or dare I say a larger bed or some kind of perk for putting up with the bar without being nasty about it. But then I realized that the previous residents had left food in the closet that was never cleaned up, and there was black hair all over the bed and the bathroom. WHAT? What kind of place doesn't clean their room completely? I was grossed out but like I said, not spending time there, so I shut up and stayed put. The next day I put out a DND sign because I didn't lock anything up - when I came back from the conference the sign had been taken down and my bed made anyway. I don't know who did that, if it was someone staying in the hotel or someone looking for a tip, but I was NOT happy.

Hotel common areas were not kept up...not clean...floors not level...rooms were clean but in desperate need of refurbishing....we had relatives staying in 3 different rooms and stay was not worth the cost....have stayed in better hotel rooms for less...the pictures on line don't quite compare to the actual room condition.

The location of this Hotel is perfect for anyone looking for a great location and not looking to sleep. The room floors are wood and have to walk very carefully to make sure you do not fall (it is like walking on ice with or without socks). The hotels idea of a queen bed is the size of a twin bed, and there is a bar under the hotel which plays very loud music until 3am.

The hotel room was WAY over priced for how small it was. If you do not like small spaces, do not stay here. We were in NO and the cleaning staff is banging on our door at 9:00 am. They did not change the sheets. There is an extra $20.00 charge for internet & fitness access. The hotel next door was nicer and cheaper. Great location. A bit of a distance from Bourbon, but I enjoyed the walk. Safe area.

Shower didn't drain everything in bathroom didn't seen clean. Floor was very slippery and dangerous. The wait staff was terrible. Said they'd call when a room was ready, never received a call.
