For an airport hotel, the Clarion has many great features such as breakfast, a gym, pool, and the room was very comfortable. There are restaurants close by and it's very close to the airport. Will definitely be my "go to" while going into PDX.

We had a great stay. The room was clean, the complimentary breakfast was great, and the staff was kind. We had a loud family upstairs, and the noise continued after 10 PM. My kids were asleep, so I called the front desk. The very polite front desk staff appologized, and said they would give them a warning, and if it continued they would give them a second warning, and then move them. The noise stopped after the first warning. The only problem was the extremely busy street it was on.

Love to stay there more.

Our 2 stays (a week apart) exceeded our expectations. Staying only overnight both times, we did not have time to enjoy all of the facilities as much as we first intended. However, the amenities looked first-rate in comparison to similar hosts. Our rooms seemed to us to untypically clean and fresh. The hot breakfast, especially, was simply phenomenally delicious, well served and well-presented, better than most higher rated hotels! Thank you for that! We unhesitatingly recommend this facility.

We were only in the hotel for six hours before catching a flight. Everything was fine.

The bed was not very comfortable. The pillows were icky.

This was just a short overnight for an early morning flight, therefore did not have time to take advantage of surrounding attractions.

We wanted to take our young son in the pool but it was so cold we barely got in. It was a little disappointing.

No room service, the free breakfast buffet was awful food, no smoking rooms even though we were told there were. There was a little bit of damage to the inside of the room that could have been fixed and made it much more appealing. The bed and pillows were wonderful.

My husband and I will return again for our romantic getaway

Hotel was great and staff was very accomodating. Came in late and they arranged for a shuttle to get me to the hotel. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Couldn't be more pleased overall.

I was very disappointed to find the indoor pool closed without being told upon check-in. My #1 must-have when booking a room for my granddaughter and myself is an indoor pool. After much complaining the front desk said we could go to a sister property to use their pool, so we bundled up over our swim suits and braved the pouring rain to drive over to a different hotel to swim. In addition to this disappointment, I noticed a real decline in the upkeep of the hotel compared to past visits. The only positive was the reasonable rate, but I would have happily paid more for a working pool.

Great double queen room for family...we and the kids loved the indoor pool and spa...continental breakfast was very good with an excellent variety of options. Nice hotel with all the accommodations that we look for when we travel.

Situated about 10 mins outside of downtown Portland, the most inconvenient part about the location is the drive (and 3 interchanges) to get to downtown. If you can get over that, the location is mostly quiet (aside from the airplanes, which aren't that loud when you're in your room). Also, there is a strip mall at the nearby Cascade max station across the Ikea (cheap eats!), so you're technically not far from shopping. The free breakfast buffet is quite good, and they seem to replace the "all-day coffee" at a good rate as I never got a cold cup. Aside from a few room quirks that I could live with (low water pressure shower), this is my first choice for hotels in Portland as it's as comfy and clean as hotels twice its price!

Great stay. View of the river from the room, couldn't hear any of the airplanes unless the windows were open, and we were just in time for Manager's Happy hour with free alcohol, free appetizers and live music. Awesome overnight stay.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Hallways were in need of a good carpet cleaning. Tuesday evening entertainment and appetizer/drinks was a pleasant surprise. Hotel staff was very pleasant - even when providing a light breakfast and free shuttle service to the airport at 4AM!

This is our second time to stay at the Clarion Portland Airport. The first time, just a year or two ago, the rooms were undergoing remodel. The beds were comfortable. I think they forgot to do the room we stayed this visit. The bed was not comfortable (claim they are tempur pedic but I beg to differ), the bathroom doors fake wood grain was peeling off, and the little fridge and micro sat on the floor (stacked they came about mid thigh, needed a cabinet for access ease). The room was clean minus the dirty towel behing the chair in the room. Totally grossed me out. The hot tub needs work as well. Not sure I would chance getting stuck with a yuck room again.

The room was nicely decorated and very spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with the wide variety of fresh selections. We also liked that it was right next door to a 24 hour restaurant. We will stay at this location again.

Room window would not close. Had to move to another room. Should have been fixed before our arrival. Quick breakfast was appreciated. Shuttle to airport was appreciated. Closeness to gas station, car rental return, and airport was appreciated. Room was comfortable and clean.

The staff were all very helpful and informative with directions and information about the area. They were very nice too. Our room was quiet, comfortable, had all the amenities needed, the breakfast was decent, and as a mom traveling with two kids, it also felt very safe. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and close to the Portland airport. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and backed up to some berry bushes that attracted wildlife each morning. All around, a great deal! :)

the front desk and shuttle driver were very helpful. Our daughters were traveling out fo Portland airport and the staff was very accomodating.

Safe location, nice sleep, decent shower, free parking, decent little breakfast in comfortable lobby setting, 10-15 min drive to downtown Portland, would've liked it to have a room safe, staff was friendly and helpful

Needs more cleaning, especially in public areas. Breakfast was inadequate.

Always a great experience at this hotel. Breakfast is very good and the rooms quiet.

Everything was clean besides the pool it had some nasty stuff on the bottom. I would definitely stay there again. But I would not get the lake side view again though it wasn't very nice. The workers were very nice. It wasn't in a very bad location a little loud but it was by the airport so of course.

Exceptionally nice hotel. Room was very spacious and in great condition,bed was very comfortable and bath very clean. One minor complaint was a bit of a bleach smell on sheets. The complimentary breakfast was way above average!

We checked in after midnight following a 5-hr flight and was met by an unwelcoming Clarion employee. She offered no welcome, no smile, no conversation. I provided my name and she handed me the room cards and a piece of paper to place on the dashbd of our rental car - without any verbal instructions. Our first visit to Portland got significantly better once we left the front desk. We enjoyed our room and the food selections at the complimentary breakfast.
