Great place to stay! Close to Vanderbilt, restaurants, etc. The only negative was the front desk clerk who works mornings. We were early (sometime after noon) after having decided to drive into the night the day before so we could get to Nashville for an afternoon event. We thought we would see if they might have a room available or one coming available soon in order to freshen up before our event. The lady was VERY RUDE!!! She would not even look at me or pretty much talk to me. She told me that they couldn't do anything until after 3 that afternoon. She acted like I was wasting her time even though they weren't even busy. We almost cancelled our reservations for the next three nights and went to another hotel close by where I had stayed the previous week AND arrived early. It hadn't been a problem for them. They suggested we go eat lunch and they would have a room ready by the time we returned, which they did! Other than the rude front desk clerk, though, it was a nice place to stay and we will be back. If she is working, we will just ask for someone else to wait on us.

This hotel is close to Vanderbilt university and for that reason walking distance to many restaurants, We were here over Easter so its location across the street to the Cathedral was perfect. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, clean duvets and awesome pillows. We plan to return to this hotel every time we come to Nashville.

Hotel was close to vanderbilt where I was visiting my daughter, great price for the comfortable bed and pillows, good selection of breakfast, good location right on main street where there was various eating establishment, also very close to highway .I also chose this hotel since all the others hotels made you paid for parking. i enjoyed the use of free internet and felt safe with a security guard on site. I would recommended this hotel.

Love the Hampton Inn at Vanderbilt! It's only a couple minutes to downtown and where I work. Very comfortable and the staff were all very nice!

Overall a great hotel, conveniently located not far from downtown and very close to beautiful Vanderbuilt University. Our AC/fan unit went out, and within about 15 minutes a repairman came and fixed it in about 10 minutes, so great service. Good complimentary breakfast and food choices, hot and cold foods. Free parking was definitely a plus. The only downside was that our room seemed like it was quite damp feeling, as if it needed a dehumidifier, so it was beginning to smell a little bit moldy. It probably was just the room we were in because it was in the basement. I bet that is not the case for most of the other rooms. Would stay here again!

The front desk staff was always courteous and friendly. The breakfast area was stylish and large enough that you large groups had room without crowding everyone. Noshville is directly behind the hotel and offers the best breakfast in Nashville if you want more than the free breakfast offered at the hotel.

This Hampton Inn has just been renovated so it was quite clean. The staff there was more than friendly. Always helpful and willing to go the extra ten steps. We did get a room on the ground level which was a little dark but we were not in the room much.

This hotel was very clean updated and in the perfect location. In betweeen downtown and Vanderbilt. Im a very picky hotel person, I was very pleased with the hotel and have stayed in a lot of Hamptons. This one gets an A + for me. College prep visit with my daughter.

Nice service. i like the complimentary breakfast. Free wifi and business center for internet and printout. i highly recommend to my friends.

Would have been nice if there was a hair dryer for my wife to use. Other than that, a clean hotel with courteous staff. Not far from Music Row but not walking distance either, took a cab because it was too cold to walk that far.

Came into town to attend a hockey game at Bridgestone Arena. Not only was the hotel extremely convenient to several bars and restaurants, but we were able to walk to the Arena from the hotel. Especially enjoyed the brewery across the street! Staff were very helpful and tolerant of drunken behavior.

The Hampton Inn near Vanderbilt University in Nashville was a great place to stay. We could easily walk to restaurants & other places of interest. The hotel was exceptionally well taken care of and a very pleasant place to stay. We will definitely stay here again!

The conformation I received said king study with sofa. The sofa was a chair...:(

Very, Very nice. Location is convenient to Vanderbilt and downtown Nashville. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Very nice! Room was excellent & very comfortable. A bit noisy from the hall in the morning, but overall great! Would stay here again!

The hotel was very comfortable and quiet. My husband and I also appreciated the variety of options for breakfast.

Being renovated as many Hamptons are right now so just the usual construction type annoyances. Finished product will be very nice. Great location if you have a student at Vanderbilt. Definitely stay again.

Even though it was getting renovated, we got a newly completed room and thought it was great, the carpet was fresh and really clean and the bedlinen was super crisp and big doonas. The breakfast was plentiful and had lots on offer. We had a car so the location was fine although it wasn't within walking distance of the city centre. Heaps of close restaurants, Pie in the Sky is right next door and their pizzas and wings and pasta was all really fresh and hot.

The place was very nice. It was clean and the straff was very helpful. I would strongly recomend this place to anyone visiting Nashville, TN.

The air condition in the room made too much noise. It was very hard for me to sleep. The shower need to be up graded.

hotel staff very helpful, polite, professional, lots of good selection of restaurants w/in walking distance (literally across the street, around the block) varying cuisine, varying price ranges, close to many tourist spots, quiet room for sleeping, this one stays @ the top of my list

I came to Nashville w/ family and friends for my birthday. The hotel is about 1 mile out of downtown which was perfect for us. The rooms were recently remodelled, very clean and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. The short cab ride is about $15 w/ a tip so it's not too bad when you have several people. The breakfast was very good and once again the lobby area where this was, was very clean. I would stay here again!

The bath tup had mold growing under the mat. I complained and got a simple "I'm sorry". I couldn't even bathe my son in it.

This hotel was exceptionally clean, and the personnel were friendly. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the pool.

It is alright, went during the CMA Fest and we got what we paid for. There was a trouble with our room that other people did not face so it was specific with us and I doubt it would happen to others but the way they handled was far from pleasant. We had to contact front desk 4 times before they did anything to rectify the situation. When asking for directions at the front desk they were not that helpful and actually sent us to the wrong place that we missed out tour. If you have to deal with anyone the female blond manager is the only person that seems to get anything done, in terms of service she is the only one that makes it bearable and shes really nice and approachable. The rooms are pretty standard queen beds would have been nice but I hear they are upgrading them. There is no shuttle service to downtown which makes it about a 20 min walk or you can take the bus, but then again it comes about every 20 min during the week and again front desk does not have much information on that.. the amount of money we spent on cabs we might as well have stayed closer to downtown, as you walk about 2 mins east you pass a hotel that does have shuttle service and it is a bit discouraging.

Thar 2 nights good price good food and good people

The hotel is very nice and everyone was very helpful. It is quite a ways to walk downtown, but a cab fare back at night was cheap. It was in a good location and not a lot fo noise. The pool is very nice and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel.

It was a beautiful day when I was there. I had free time to swim - I brought my suit but saw the gate to prettty pool area was locked up!! heard 2 diffferent stories. one - the health department closed them down, the other they were converting to "salt water" from regular system. I say do it in the off season and have the pool ready when a nice warm sunny day arrives with a northern guest!

They put us in room 331, and we were woke up at 9 by construction in the room next door. They were literally hammering things into the wall at the head of our bed, it was so loud it hurt our ears. We asked to be moved to another room. They moved us to 218. Once there, I realized I left a polo shirt hanging in the closet of 331. I went back to 331 and it had been cleaned, and my shirt gone. The hotel never located the shirt, and said it was not in their lost and found. Nice. The following morning there was more construction, but not as loud. Good luck with the inconsiderate timing and placement of their construction, and remember that housekeeping will swipe your things. No safes in rooms either.
