Holiday Inn Express Chicago-Magnificent Mile - شيكاغو

Very pleasant, accommodating staff. Location is close to everything but not chaotic. Very good for a last minute, lower budget trip like the one I planned.

The bed was excellent!! We slept great!! The hotel is very convenient to alot of the sites! The only disappointment wa that we had to pay $44 a night for valet parking. I've stayed in Chicago before and I've never had to pay for valet parking. Other than that the hotel is fabulous!!!

Great location, a few minutes walk from shopping, and a few bars. The room itself felt small for a king-sized bed room, and for the price, but we managed. The only "storage" was a 2 ft wide closet, so suitcases stayed on the only non-bed, non-desk seating, the bench along the wall. The bed was nice and comfy after a long day walking around malls and museums.

This was our first time to Chicago, and we loved the staff at the hotel. They were super friendly! Very helpful in pointing out where everything was and getting us cabs. The room was very very clean. NO BED BUGS! Lots of history in the building. Very Safe. Great location, close to everything!

It was all good.

Hotel and service were wonderful, however, to my disappointment, the rooms were microscopic... very small, but comfortable nonetheless. If you don't care about the size of the rooms, then this is for you... Good stay overall...

I had a standard queen room, and yes, it was tiny, but was laid out very well, had clean modern lines, great understated urban colors, lovely bathroom (one of my favorite hotel bathrooms, actually - small but perfectly efficient). I was on the 15th floor, and had a view toward the famous John Hancock Tower, which was nice. The room was very quiet, the wifi worked reasonably well, the free breakfast was a functional. The location is excellent for the river-north area, and it's across the street from Trader Joes Market and about two blocks away from a Whole Foods (I was in grocery heaven!). I asked about a refrigerator and they said they could bring one up if available - it arrive moments after I got to my room - Yeah! The maid staff was super friendly and helpful, and the front desk staff was good as well. This hotel is in a restored historical building that feels like it was just updated - so very fresh and modern inside. I'm very particular in general, and this I actually loved this place. I don't have much luggage, so the tiny room was fine, but if you had a lot of lugging in this room, it would drive you crazy. I highly recommend for efficient travelers. The rate I found for my dates was about half that of other area hotels, and I was totally loving that!

I enjoyed the stay we drove right up to the door very easy to find. Close to everything we wanted to see. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. I really enjoyed the wall computer that we could put in our destnation, and print it out.The only down was the room was a little cramped : (

By far, the smallest room I have ever stayed in. It was laughable how small and compact it was. I've stayed in some pretty small places before (South Beach and France), but this was by far the worst. I won't return.

great staff, close to everything. It's a non-smoking hotel but our room smelled of cigarette smoke so strong we bought air freshener. All in all, I would still return. It was a great value for the location.

Great place. Excellent location within walking distance of everything. Only minor pro Len was that the room was tiny.

This hotel is in the perfect location! You can park your car and walk to where stores, restaurants and things to do are located. Seeing the other reviews.. I don't think the rooms were bad sized. You are not going to dance around in them, but they were a decent size. The only short coming we found was don't get the room that is located behind the elevators. We heard them all night long! The Front Desk Associates were very friendly and pointed out a few things to see and a good place for pizza. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We could have done without the noisy elevator all night long (our room was next to the elevator). The hotel staff was extremely hospitable and very helpful. The price, although understandable because of the location, it was too high for the kind of space they provided.

Best continental breakfast we have ever had. The smallest room we have ever stayed at. However, the service, location, cleanliness and Quiet, made that easier to overlook.

The room was cozy with great modern furnishings, while the building maintained it's 1920's feel. Absolute best of both worlds, perfect for our weekend stay, and the hot breakfast on sunday was an added plus

There was a problem with the heat that weekend. We had to tell the Personal at the Front Desk to check it out. They fixed it. At 3.00 am the heat went off again, and they send a Person with a flashlight to fixed it. The next they at the check out they asked us if the heat worked that night, and when we told the story they did not charge us for the room. The breakfast area was very nice, and we did have a great breakfast with my family included in the price. I would come back for sure. Great service, excellent price for a downtown Chicago Hotel.

Small room, only place to open suitcase was on the bed. We left our suitcase on the bed when we went out for the day and found a note on it when we returned stating they weren't allowed to move our suitcase to make the bed. I have been told this is not uncommon in Chicago.

Hotel room was very, very small. I read a few reviews and was surprised when we got there. Room was very clean and the staff was very courteous. Breakfast bar was delicious and well worth it. If you're looking to stay right downtown at a very fair price and don't mind a smaller room, this place is for you!

Room is EXTREMLY small but it was enough for two people overnight. Free wi-fi in room

Reviews had said the rooms were small. That was true but the service, location and especially the very extensive choies for the free breakfast make it a choice I would make again

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They should rip down all the walls and just put up curtains. It may have been quieter then. You can hear the rooms next to you and everything that happens in the halls and elevator area. The front desk is slow and has no clue about anything in their own hotel. They didnt even have change for another guest checking in when I was there. If i could have given this hotel a less than star I would have!

I thought everything was perfect about the hotel except the temperature of the room. At night I was always cold and even though we supposedly turned the heat up, it made no difference.

I'm a flight attendant and stay in a lot of hotels, this one is great. There is a trader joes across the street, great little business center and a decent breakfast. The staff is friendly and very helpful and it's a short taxi ride (under 7$) anywhere on the mile. Will stay again when I'm visiting Chicago.

PERFECT LOCATION, WELL-EXPERIENCED AND FRIENDLY STAFF, MODERATE BREAKFAST, BUT WHAT WAS IN GREAT DISCORDANCE IS DISPOSABLE DISHES FOR SERVICE. VERY TINY ROOMS, YET COSY

This Holiday Inn Express is a nice little hotel. A converted old hotel, it has the quaintness of a boutique hotel with the efficiency of a chain. he location is fabulous, several block from both the Loop and Water Tower area and very close to the North Bridge Mall, with Nordstorm being the anchor store. Throw in the HIE's free hot breakfast and this should be the perfect place, right? Well, the in room heater was not so loud went it kicked in but was very loud when it kicked off. The first night i did not get much sleep. The second night we turned the heat up high for about an hour at night and then turned it off for the rest of the night. Overall, this worked, the room temp went down to about 65 degrees on a 25 degree night. So, overall the staff is friendly, location perfect but, at least for me, had to have a work around for the loud heating unit.

Very good location, rooms very small but adequate. Full breakfast was a surprise..food good with many choices. Personnel friendly and helpful.
