Food is horrendous.

The rooms are not well maintained. I was expecting more than what I received. My companion and I had to change rooms due to the safe not working properly. When we got to our assignment, the beds had not been made and the toilet wasn't working properly. We were finally assigned another room that was acceptable. The communication between staff members is poor and the service at the front desk is basically organized anarchy. The surrounding neighborhood is an area that isn't safe at night. It is best to stay within the resort following sunset. Furthermore, the area around the beach is frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers at night. I would urge customers desiring a hotel to choose one other than this one for a stay in the Santo Domingo area.

The dancing club & beach was very far from hotel. I didn't feel safe. The airport shuttle service was not provided and hotels.com does not mention in their hotel detail section that you have to reserve transportation to airport in advance. So I had to take a taxi. The food was not great. I was not pleased or impressed.

THE FOOD AND THE PERSONAL ARE EXCELLENT. THE HOTEL NEED A RENOVATION IN THE BATHROOM, THE FLOORS, FURNITURE, BEDS, SHEETS AND COMFORTERS. THE AIR CONDITION NEED TO BE REPLACE FOR A NEW ONE. THE PAINT IS THE WALL IS DIRTY. THE SAFE IN THE ROOMS DONT WORK. AND SOMETIMES IS NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER....THE SHOW IN THE NIGHT IS NO GOOD...FOR ME IS ONLY 2 STARS......THE SPA IS GOOD..

good food and fun, love the beach

Dirty rooms, bad maintained, staff unorganized... Good location thats all....

The food is bad, you need to walk 4 blocks to get to the beach, the hotel staff is not helpfull at all, hotel needs maitenance, disco is boring and outdated. Basically just dont go.

After sweating all day on the first day and wanting to just take a nice hot shower I discover that the water on the hottest setting is ice cold and the phone in my room doesn't even work. I have to walk to reception, twice, before someone is actually sent to the room to try and fix the issue. The water was luke warm at best. The next day its back to being ice cold again, I go to reception several times and no one ever comes to my room to resolve the issue. I am then given temporary keys to 3 different rooms so I can shower with hot water, none have hot water. Its a resort-wide problem. This was a horrible experience and the food wasn't even good. The wait staff was great and the drinks were good but never again will I go to this establishment. If you value hot showers like I do beware!!!

everything was perfect it is good place for vacation, the food was perfect , access 3 times a day to a bufet with all kind of food included drink . over all it was good enough

I only stayed four days and I have such a great time that I am planning to take the whole family next year. The hotel is surrounded with security guard and it makes you feel safe. I was amazed with the night entertainments (shows and the dance night club) located near the beach. all the staffs were very friendly and the whole area of the hotel was cleaned and made me feel like home. I would recommended because it has everything you need to have a enjoyable vacation.

Not awful, but not great. Good resort area, but bad rooms. Locker for sale, no fridge, very simple rooms. Food is plenty, the taste is so-so, but hey you will never go hungry. beach sucks, not really private, private benches, but not private water. After all negatives, the weather is great, staff is nice, and plenty of booze. Oh yeah, my friend almost got electrocuted in her hotel room.

We stayed one night en route to another hotel the next day. We rented a car so did not want to drive at night in DR. It was hard to find had to pay a cyclist to show us there, which we were fine with. The buildings and reception look nice but when you get inside the rooms its pretty old and in disrepair. The AC was so loud it kept us up, would have asked to move if it had been more than one night. At 2 or 3 am there was loud screaming and carrying on, door slamming on the level above for at least and hour. So we hardly slept at all. The food was really awful in the buffet. The location is right in city center, but evidently you can walk to beach but we did not as we left as soon as possible in the morning to get to our destination. The two positives: The staff were nice and tried to be helpful and it was affordable. Overall, we would not even stay here again on a pass through.

Yuck - outside and lobby area are great. Food is ok, but the rooms (we were in two separate as we moved due to air conditioner not working) were awful. Air in second room was bad also. Beds were bad, never enough towels, total of 4 pillows for 2 double beds, TV very fuzzy - could not even watch it.

The only good thing about this hotel is the staff, extremely friendly. My room had a huge leak on bathroom ceiling and even after constant complaining on my part, I was never given opportunity to switch rooms. The bathroom sink and shower needs deep cleaning, you can see toothpaste waste (sink) and soap waste (shower) left in faucets. The food was really bad, it's a total shame. You actually have to pay to use the safe box and wi-fi connection. They charge $9 a day for wi-fi usage, a total scam. I might as well get robbed.

i stayed at the all inclusive bellevue hotel and was quite satisfied with almost everything..my room was always clean,the ac worked perfectly....the only problem was we missed water for just about a few hours but things do happen...The staff was excellent but need to learn more english...If ever i visit santo domingo again i will come back to this same hotel.

The hotel staff doesn't information in detail what the hotel offers. You are just another body using the hotel. The Kitchen staff are Excellent and friendly. Customer Service staff need to learn from the Kitchen Buffet Staff.

Matter of fact I am going to book this hotel for my cousins and his wife. The entertainment group is very good and friendly. They know the guests by their names that is very exceptional. The food is good and the restaurant service is excellent. The only drawback is that the roof is licking. Do not take room on the top floors.

Price excellent! service great, condition of rooms= less than desireable. We had to change the room after the first day because the air stopped working.. The next room the air cond. motor was very loud and we had to deal with that for the duration. the food was good and the service staff was excellent. This is a place where you go to get off the beaten path and mingle with locals and blend in without being noticed.. The nightly entertainment was good but if you want to go to bed early, count it out. Most of the rooms will be affected by the loud music from the show until 10.30pm.. overall after everything I would go back if i was on a budget and wanted to stay low key.Again, the service workers and wait staff was great!

Very relaxing the staff is very attentive

Our stay there was very short. The food is very good and the snacks at the pool were great too. The staff is very nice and they make the kids feel special. The room are really in a very poor condition and they need urgent renovations (we used two different rooms because of AC leaking). The bathrooms are a complete disaster and they are not well cleaned.Our phone was dead. You get what you pay for!!

The food wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. The staff was over all nice and they had fun entertainment at night. The bed were too comfy unless you like firmer mattresses.

The beach really far away and open to everyone Not privacy at all The food is always the same The rooms ac have problems The service very poor. In my opinion this Company should not recommend this hotel as 3.5 star but 2 star or less.

tv inop, no hot water, food that literally made me throw up. insects in all rooms and dining room. I checked out a night early and went to another hotel. I cant believe you even allow this one star hotel to be on your site. never been disappointed with hotels.com before until now.

It will be very helpful to have wifi available in the customer's room. The front desk staff was very respectful. I had a wonderful stay and hope to see you all very soon. The rate I was entitled to was excellent. The entired staff was excellent.... Thank U for a very very Wonderful time... Tlr.....

Nice quiet hotel only 3 blocks from the beach. My room was adequate and could use some renovations but wasn't bad at all. The hotel was definitely understaffed. At check-in (3pm), there was only one clerk to handle everyone. I waited for over an hour to get my room. At the poolside bar/grill, only one person was working each. They ran out of clean plates so the cook had to go find some. Needless to say, he was working hard but I had to 15 minutes to get a clean plate and my food. Don't get me wrong the employees who are there are attentive and hard-working but management hasn't staffed the place with enough workers.

The Bellevue is a great place to stay for people on a budget, however the service has dicrease and employers are not as friendly and helpfull as they used to.

Although the hotel is conveniently located about a 10 minute (950 peso) ride from the airport, this is not the hotel one would want to choose to stay in for a relaxing get-away. There were ants in my bed, mosquitos in the room, cold water and no towels. It is, in short, a dive. The food leaves much to be desired as well.

When the manager Mr Feleciano is present, all is well and organized. Other than that , it is cunfusion and delays waiting on who knows where the line(s) is or are? There in no hot water in the whole place as far as I could determine. The bed is made out of cardboard or some weard substance. The grounds are impeccable. "Bravo" to the guys keeping it lovely.

Didn't come everyday ...

quality price very very hight

We were there for avery short time but it was very comfortable and the service staff were very very very helpful, and we needed a lot od assistance with some groiund travel directions. They were very accomodating. Pretty little pool area but like all of the Domincan area...Bee's were pesty!

Sunday arrived to find water on the floor in bathroom, no water pressure in sink and AC did not work correctly. Monday reported leak and AC. Monday night AC still did not work and still a leak in ceiling.Tuesday woke up to 1/4 inch of water covering bathroom floor and water dripping from bathroom ceiling, AC still not working. Tuesday evening after water was mopped up, AC worked bettter. Our clothes were ruined at the pool as bleach was used to clean some of the seats. We were offered shrimp for dinner that night as a compensation. Met a family on our flight home who was there during the same time and their bathroom leaked as well. Food was okay. Help friendly but no follow through on our complaints.

2 nigh with 3 room change... food was bad. no service what so ever. beautiful grounds but needs people that are into customer service. the only good thing about is the people from animation and its nights show.

Before I selected this Resort I read ALL the reviews and was kind of confused. But, I decided to give a a chance and we stayed for 6 days. I was amazed and pleased of the service we received and the staff very, very friendly specially the ones that makes the shows at night. Stefany and Chocolate were my favorite. Front desk staff were very friendly also and I was accomodated quickly. At first I wasnt too sure of the food but then after trying the food it was great. If you didnt want to eat at the buffet then theres other restaurant near buy that you can go out and eat. We didnt go anywhere because we enjoyed the pool, the food, the beach and the shows at night. I also liked the security they have in the hotel and around the area. We felt very safe walking to the beach and near by.The only thing I didnt like it was with the wireless service. They should also make it available in the rooms, not just in the lobby. Other than that we had a wonderful time staying there. Other than that I defenitely recommend this hotel 100%. To us its not a 3 star hotel but a 5 star hotel.

This hotel is very nice convenient near the airport the staffs are very nice polite any problem they ready to help you they will make you feel at home they have their own site at the beach they are very coordinate. They just need to work on a better answering service for the phone since you not in your room when someone call you don't know and they cant leave a message for you.

I like the stay there espcially the pools and food they have. I recommand to my friends atleast once you should visit.
