Novotel Toronto Centre - تورونتو

Unfortunately during my stay the city was doing sewer work across the street and had to turn off the water to the hotel. I know it is not the fault of the hotel but they also did nothing to inform myself or any of the guests that this would be hapening nor did they offer to do anything to discount my stay or even appologize for any inconvenience. Not being able to take a shower or even brush my teeth in the morning was not a very good way to start my day.

Overall a great spot and very nice hotel. Dissappointed that parking was extra. Rooms need TV upgrade.

We had a great stay here. Went to see a Maple Leaf game, within walking distance of the ACC. Hotel was clean, beds comfortable. Will be back.

No new updated furniture or decorations. View from the window was the wall of a building. Very close to downtown Toronto Club District and many excellent restuaraunts.

Had a great experience at this hotel. We went for the night during New Years, the staff were extremely friendly, approachable and quick with checkouts (as there was a long line). I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to friends and family! Great atmosphere, clean rooms, VERY comfortable bedding and just added a great bonus to an amazing new years in toronto!!

What a disappointment our stay at Novotel was, this time. Novotel has been our hotel of choice, when visiting Toronto over the past 10 years. This was our second stay on a New Year's Eve but may well be our last. The hotel is conveniently located, although there is a great deal of construction around the hotel right now. The rooms are comfortable, with good quality matresses, pillows and bed linens. Unfortunately, on this stay there was a hockey tournament in Toronto. We had to contend with a floor full of 17 year olds running up and down the halls, cursing and swearing and throwing things at each other until 4am. Calls to the front desk did nothing to remedy the problem. The front desk staff were full of apologies and sent up security but once security left the floor, mayhem reigned, again. Apparently, the hotel was full so they couldn't even move us to another room. We made our reservation back in mid-October. No mention was made, at that time, that the hotel would be full of teen hockey teams. No effort was made to supervise these young guests and no security measures appear to have been in place to handle the situation. It also appears that no one had the good sense to block rooms on separate floors for the teen guests and those of us who wanted to enjoy a New Years Eve get-away. This stay fell way short of the standard we have come to enjoy at Novotel. How unfortunate!

I was a little taken a backl that they would charge to make a local phone call. I thought that was The slap on the face on your way out

Fantastic entrance and lobby area and hallways and pleasant staff . Why the hotel would go on the cheap in the rooms is beyond me ( think uninspiring college dorm) and a television from the mid 1990's. Renovate the rooms before the common areas!!

1. Construction on street was outside of room. Construction starts at 6 A.M. No need to set alarms. 2. A sign inside bost's the company is in the top 50 employers, There was a gathering of people outside the Hotel, microphones, chanting etc. they did not feel the same way ?

The Novotel Toronto is well located in the theater district, close to the train and subway system and easy walking distance to many restaraunts and shopping. There is construction in the area but that should be completed sometime in 2011 or early 2012. The only complaint is that the room was cold but the hotel provided a space heater on request. The staff is friendly. The hotel seems to be secure with access to the elevators controlled by the room keys

location is convenient but hotel room is old and needs refreshing. Doors do not reach the floor so noise gets through very easily.

Location was perfect for walking about downtown. Prior to our arrival I requested a change to our room so that our daughter could stay with us. No problem and no extra charge! Staff are courteous and helpful. The only drawback is that Toronto has never-ending construction and even though it is outside the hotel, the sound-proofing of the hotel is quite adequate for one to enjoy their stay. The wedding nearby was terrific and the other members who were also staying at the hotel enjoyed the Novotel on L'Esplanade. Be prepared to pay extra for your parking but everywhere charges you for parking now. Cabs are plentiful and not too costly. Had a great time--- thanks Novotel!

Everything in the hotel and restaurant is perfect. Food and service and room is great and it is within walking distance of the arts district. We have been coming for years and one of our favourite places to meet was the cozy bar area. I really do not like what they have done there. The furniture is too modern and not at all cozy as it used to be with the lovely leather chairs. Etc.

Hotel was very close to the air canada centre and CN tower. There are many bars and restaurants within a short walk. The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

This hotel is conveniently located if you are travelling for events at Air Canada Centre. You can walk back from the arena and even stop at the neighboring grocery store to grab a late-night snack. Our only complaint was that the staff seemed perpetually irritated that we were there. They begrudgingly answered our questions, the maids barged in very early (even on the day of our check-out) and then took away the personal items we stored in the fridge.

We had stayed there one time before and we liked it very mich. The food in the restaurant was very good and the service was excellent. The check-in service was also excellent and we will probably stay there again next year.

Stay there every time I come to Toronto, perfect central location, convenient parking, nice amenities, great restaurants across the road, exceptional staff, renovations positive Thank You

The hotel itself was fine, but there was costruction work on the hotel's internal driveway the whole time we were there, vibration and noise started early in the morning when we were trying to sleep in a bit. If you want to stay here wait a few months until the jackhammering and noise if finished.

During my stay at this Hotel, there was construction taking place in the lobby, and in the roundabout just outside the hotel. I was woken up at 7:30am to very loud banging noises, and eventually to the sound of a jackhammer. I was staying on the fifth floor, and when I called down to complain, I was told that it was "Strange that I would hear it all the way up there". While checking out that morning I mentioned my disappointment to the man at the concierge desk, he shrugged his shoulder and told us to have a nice day. If my concerns had been taken seriously, my stay would have been much nicer. The overall appearance of the hotel was nice, and our room was very clean. However, the customer service was definitely lacking.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean room and comfortable bed. The renovations (construction) in the lobby area was isolated from our room. Friendly staff.

Great location! Quiet even with all the Buskerfest activities in the neighborhood. Great parking too.

I stay in hotels rougly 50 days a year. This was THE worst experience I've ever had. I will NEVER stay in a Novotel-chain hotel ever again! Air conditioning - works terrible (set temp at 60F and two days later temp dropped from 78 to 73). Internet Access - works terrible - forget streaming video, even voice streaming breaks up often. Room not cleaned 3 of 8 days stayed there. Front desk staff totally rude and lied to me (the evening staff not the morning staff.)

I was very happy with the accomodation in Toronto. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the equipment in the fitness room is good.

This hotel offers quiet and comfort in a location that is close to the train station and several downtown attractions.

On a positive note, the hotel was very generous about cancelling one night of our 2 night stay when we contacted them a couple of weeks before our stay. This isn't a common courtesy, so we have to say thank-you very much for that. This hotel was the host hotel for the race I was in, and they had the convenience of a bus to shuttle those people involved in the race to and from the event. Thanks... was an awesome thing for them to do!! Room was very clean, but I have to say this is the first time we've ever stayed anywhere where we've had to basically make our own bed (it had the fitted sheet and the duvet/bedspread on it... the top sheet and blanket were in the closet). We stayed at the end of August, and the room's air conditioning didn't seem to be working correctly... just seemed like a fan blowing air instead... so the room was rather warm that night, and therefore didn't get the best night's sleep. We realized the following night around 7pm (of the day we had checked out) that we had left an item in the closet in the room. Called the hotel and they said that they would connect us with housekeeping so they could check the lost and found. Turns out that housekeeping goes home at 6pm, and therefore there was no way they could check for our item. Looks like our loss, since we were leaving the city right around that time.

Front desk a little prissy on checking in and a small domestic between the check in staff was soon overcome. Hotel in renovation so a bit dusty and noisy in the morning. Room standard king very good value with breakfast and free wifi (a bonus these days) Fantastic area near the CN tower, Yonge St all the sights, shops and eating places. Good stuff acrosss the road too. Area was daily busy but nightly quiet so really enjoyed the stay. First class hotel would go again.

With the exception of the spot in the corner of the room that indicated a leaking roof in the past, the room was fantastic. Very clean, and modernized. The staff at the hotel was great too and it is very convenient to have the bars/restaraunts across the street. The Bike Rental across the street was great too.

An overnight stay but couldn't have wished for a more comfortable room. all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Top Marks! Thank you.

Nice hotel in downtown Toronto, two blocks from the train station and the entrance to the entire underground city. Novotel is a French chain, and there are plenty of French speakers staying there. I liked the room. Maid service was sort of iffy--ice bucket not emptied, pillows in strange positions, TV remote on floor. Biggest complaint--they have a lot of darned nerve claiming that they offer high speed internet. True, ti's free. But that's all it's worth, it is abysmally slow. didn't work at all when I got there, I spent an hour on the phone with "service", then, while I was on hold yet again, it just started working. Slowly, but working. If you want decent Internet, this isn't the hotel for you. Otherwise, it is just fine.

First room we were assigned reeked of stale cigarette smoke. They were very good about moving us to another room. Not sure how hotels should handle this problem.

The Hotel was incredibly clean, and even better it was located in a great section of downtown Toronto. It is two blocks from the Hockey Hall of Fame, two blocks from the St. Lawrence Market, and directly across the street from several bars and restaurants. The room was clean and the bathroom was big. The AC didn't seem to get cool enough, and the parking was expensive; however, it was very convenient and the price was fair, making this a great stay! My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Great location to downtown activities at Air Canada.

The air conditioner was very low not cool enough and we were very disappointed with the view ...a parking garage, but the staff was great and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Disappointed to have to pay for a local call as well as a hefty charge per day for parking??? what does the room rate include anyway?? All in all a great get away. Was much further than stated to the event we were attending so we drove instead of walking.

Fantastic location- right near the water and by St Lawrence market. Lovely big rooms with very clean and comfortable beds. Definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay in Downtown Toronto. We were able to walk to a lot of the sights, shopping and eateries.
