Marriott Chattanooga Downtown - تشاتانوج

My stay here was great, just not long enough.

Really nice...Have both indoor & outdoor pool. Indoor pool is rather small, but then there's a hot tub! Decent location on the outer part of downtown, but not really walking distance from the main attractions (i.e. Aquarium, Children's Museum, etc.) Our room had a BEAUTIFUL view of the mountains! There's also paid parking... :/ But if you get the discounted Hotel resident pass, it's only around $10 for in & out privilages.

Highly recommend!

Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful -- always impressed. Although the infrastucture of the building is a bit dated, but over all I have been very satisfied. Again -- always impressed with the staff -- from the bell guys to the front desk.

The room we had was very nice and acceptably clean. While it wasn't a major problem, there was a pile of sheets that had apparently been stripped from the bed that was left on the floor in the room when we checked in. The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have expected. Overall, the hotel was excellent and every staff member we passed was welcoming and thoughtful. I've seen comments about the parking garage being confusing and, while it's not simple, with that forewarning we had no trouble locating our car again. Downtown Chattanooga is a nice walking area. This hotel is about 6 blocks or so to the heart of the downtown restaurant area so it's an easy walk and you don't have to worry about finding parking. While it's not in a bad area, recognize that foot traffic drops off significantly for about 3 blocks between the hotel & highest concentration of restaurants. It's a good idea to make the walk in a group if it's late. Next stay, I'll probably choose one of the hotels a little closer to the restaurants, preferably one with breakfast included but it won't be because I was dissatisfied with this hotel.

We stay at this hotel every year for my company party. They really put on a great party! The staff is always great we have neer had a problem with any of them. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. However before you go to sleep lower your ac all the way down! Bc for the last 3 years we have been woken up by 6 am with our room hot as blazes! I think the hotel turns the whole system off during the night. Parking charges are crazy but oh well its just for a night!

The hotel is nice but way too pricy for what it is. I was very upset though when housekeeping knocked on our door at 8. Not nice!

Upgrade to the valet parking because we got lost several times in the creepy maze they call a parking lot. Other than that...nice hotel right off the interstate

Well i thought i had reserved a king size bed, not! the bathroom while clean was tiny, had to stand between the toilet and vanity to close the door!!! toilet loose on the floor, and the towel rack under the counter, if i kicked it once i kicked it ten times. bad layout for the bathroom, room otherwise very comfortable. nothing nearby to do or eat, had to travel, free electric shuttle stopped outside, but was always full when it came by, would have to wait for 2-3 to come and go to be able to get on and sit down. all in all ok, nice to walk to the convention center, but that's about all.

Excellent staff services and very easy access to the free electric shuttle just outside their door. Adjacent to convention center. We visited when there was not an event at the convention center so it was nice and quiet compared to the very busy and noisy waterfront during the brew festival. Breakfast buffet had many choices to suit anyone, but not very hot so I will order from the menu next time . Package price with breakfast was excellent. Great weekend getaway for hotel, Aquarium, river cruise and Rock City - all better than in their brochures!

the air conditioning would not cool the room and it made the room feel stuffy. another guest had commented about his room being the same. The hotel was not convenient to the downtown activities. We thought we were booking nearby the river (which is actually the Courtyard Marriott not the Downtown Marriott. REALLY big difference in location.

I LOVE the Marriott in Chattanooga! Close to everything, VERY friendly and helpful staff, and I am looking forward to being back there in March with a convention of 4,000 people. The only problem I noticed was the mildew in the shower grout - room 920. There is more than just a little. I didn't complain while I was there, because I didn't want to embarass anyone on the staff. Everything else was perfection.

Impressed with the very friendly/helpful staff -- from front desk to valet guys. Facility is a bit shopworn -- but nothing major. One word of caution -- the pool is tiny and really can't be used for swiming -- if anyone is counting on that. But all and all -- a good place to stay and again, the great attidude of the staff was what won me over.

The failure of Marriott to meet item #1 "Quality of service" leave me no choice but to rate all other categories as very,very,very poor. Allow me to explain; after being told at checkout that there were no incindental charges to my room, my card was billed $10.93 2 days later. At check-in I specifically explained to the clerk that any incidental charges to my room I pefered to pay in cash at checkout.

Excellent hotel. Only complaints were hallway noise could be heard inside room too much and elevators were very slow during busy times of the day.

There are few options to choose from in downtown Chattanooga and the Marriott Convention Center worked just fine for my purposes. There is a convenient (free) shuttle that runs from the back of the hotel to various stops downtown. One of the drawbacks is very slow elevators with frequent stops.

We stayed here for easy access to the aquarium using the free trolly stop at the hotel. It was safe and very easy!!

The Front Counter employee the morning of June 17th was absolutely RUDE! I asked for 2 accomodations and she flat out said "NO". She did not say I'm so sorry or unfortunately... Her answers were short and unapologetic. She acted as if she could care less. Because of her, I will not stay at another Marriott hotel. I welcome any call back from the Marriott Management team in Chattanooga downtown to discuss this further.

Great location, can go anywhere downtown with the free shuttle. Only two complains, our toilet got clothed but was fixed immediately, and bed mattress were kind of soft for my taste, but besides that great hotel. Be aware that in high season the breakfast room is really busy, you will need to wait approx. 15-20 min but I think it is the same in any restaurant during high season.

My only complaint was the voices from the adjoining room. The sounds seemed to come through the doors connecting the rooms. I could here the conversation without straining my ears. The City Cafe Diner just down the street was terrific! Just what a great diner should be like. We didn't sample the hotel buffet so cannot comment.

Room was clean & up to date. Took the stairs instead of the elevator - dirty & scary. Pool area was kind of drab feeling.

For such a pricey hotel, the room was not that clean. The clock radio had some horrible sticky substance all over it and had missing parts. As has been mentioned by others there were broken tiles in the bathroom. We did not get what we booked. The double bed room turned into a King with a rollaway bed. Which was workable but not enough blankets for the rollaway resulted in my son catching a cold. The staff was very nice but the hotel was disappointing.

I was very disappointed their customer relation skill and service. I purchase the package include the breakfast however front desk person did not give us any bouchor untill we asked for and I left my personal belongs in the room I realized it happened after I check out and I call the hotel lost and find department several calls. They never return to call me. It was my worst experience I have ever stayed the hotel in my life.

Everything looks nice, but would not recommend for familys. Because of its proximity to the convention center you have adults who attend conventions, drink too much and don't know how to behave. The hotel's sound proofing is really bad.....so you hear everything!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa area left a little to be desired in terms in cleanliness, and my room never got as cold as I would have liked. But I was on the top floor, and it was 90+ degrees outside, so that could have factored in as well. Skip the breakfast buffet, better food (and cheaper) at diner right down the street. Overall, still a good experience.

Great location overall, the free electric shuttle to all the stuff on Market Street was a real plus. Luxury rooms were clean and comfortable, service was great. Indoor pool was nice, but the water was dirty and the tile around the hot tub was falling apart. The rooftop pool was a great alternative. Overall, this is a very nice hotel with lots to offer.

Overall very happy with the hotel. Best part of the hotel was the beds, which is very important to me. The customer service was great from the front desk check in to the people who chleaned the rooms. The cons: the elevators were very very slow, my bathroom floor was not the cleanest, there were few directions on where to enter the hotel. The tunnel enterance through the convention center was so rediculously hot I avoided going that way again. Lastly the vent in the room was very dusty and had turned the curtain brown where it was pushed against the vent. Would I stay here again? Probably, but I stayed at the chattanoogan the following night. I definately preferred the chattanoogan over the Marriott. That will be my hotel of choice next time

View from room was excellent. Didn't try the restaurant or services, but the rest of the hotel was about a three star, not four. Parking was an extra charge for the stay of $10 per day. Vending machines and the gift shop had highly inflated pricing (typical). Staff was friendly except at check-in. The dude was flustered from working to hard. He did try to be friendly.

The location was great and the customer service at the hotel was great! The paper-thin walls were not great. We could easily hear our neighbors on either side and neither were being particularly loud or obnoxious (definitely gave it that college dorm room feel). The air conditioning worked sort of but made the room feel more muggy than cool. The rooms were very clean, as were the linens. The hot water in the shower was very inconsistent. I can't say that I'd book another trip at this hotel which is too bad because the staff was great.

Location, Location, Location. The hotel was located in the heart of Chattanooga and not far from other points of interest in the downtown area. This hotel is also kid friendly and I believe there was a children's museum right across the street. I will definitely stay here again. The staff was also helpful with suggestions for food and entertainment.

The room in which we were placed on our recent stay simply was not clean. It had been "cleaned at" is the best that I can say. The table tops and TV stand had some type of faux stone finish and when I sat down in the chair, the first thing that I saw was the filth behind the TV on this surface. The cleaning had simply stopped at the front of the TV. It was not just dust, but a thick crust of piled on dirt that had been there for some time. The same thing held true in the bathroom on top of the back splash. A layer of grime that did not just appear over a few day period. The bathroom also held some other surprises such as the chunk of food of unknown origin behind the ice bucket on the counter and the hairs that matched neither of us that was on the counter behind the soap holder. All in all, the property seemed clean, but with the knowledge of what our room looked like, I really wonder.

My daughter, 15, & I stayed in the Chattanooga Marriott at the Convention Center and could not have asked for a nicer hotel for the price that we paid. The room was beautiful, not a bad view, big flat screen t.v. The people working at the hotel were all very friendly, from those at the desk to the house keepers. They provide free shuttle service to downtown, though did not have use for this during our stay. They do not provide a free shuttle to the airport however, which I found to be very disappointing. The breakfast buffet was extensive, though did not take part in this. I would definitely stay there again.

We have 2 children that loved the pool and hot tub. The hotel is located where you can use the shuttle to take you back and forth at no charge to you. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. Normally I don't sleep well away from home, but I did here.

The room was modern and very clean. What impressed my daughter and I most was the staff. Very Friendly and Helpful. (including restaurant staff)
