كانت إقامتي رائعة! المبنى تحت التجديد لبعض الوقت الآن لذا فهناك بعض الضوضاء في النهار بسبب العمل، هذا مبنى رائع وطاقم عمل رائع ومدهش لذا فأنا سعيد من التجديد على الرغم من الضوضاء!!

لقد كنا مستيقظين في الثالثة صباحًا وكان هناك مطرقة تدق فوق رؤوسنا. على ما يبدو كانت لإصلاحات عاجلة. ما زلت أحاول الحصول على تعويض لهذه الليلة.

سوف نفعلها مرة أخرى بالتأكيد. جئنا إلى نيويورك ونحن نريد أن نشاهد زوج من العروض وأحد مسارحنا كان مجاورًا ل "Edison". مما جعلها سهلة حقًا أن تطير وتشاهد عرضًا في نفس الليلة. لم تكن الغرفة جيدة بهذه الدرجة، لكنها لم تكن كبيرة. إنه مبنى قديم، هل تعلم ذلك؟ ولكن بشكل عام، كنت راضيًا.

Only in NY would I pay $215 for a room like this, but location, location, location.

Dated but 1st class service

This hotel had kind of a cool "classic NYC" feel to it. The plus side of this is that it was an interesting experience to stay there with all of the ambiance. The down side is that the rooms are a bit small and lack outlets, there's kind of a musty smell in the air, and parts of the hotel look a little worn down. I heard they are renovating parts of it, and I'm pretty sure that I was on a floor that had not been renovated yet...so my experience might not match everyone's. The lobby area is beautiful, and although I did not go there...they have a Rum bard with live music that seems to be popular. One great plus is that there is an airport shuttle service in the lobby that will take you to Newark, JFK, or La Guardia for a very fair price. The location of this hotel is absolutely phenomenal. Just one block from the heart of Times Square, and a short walk to pretty much anything in Mid-town. Overall, I would rate my experience as a very positive one.

Nice hotel - would definitely stay there again.

Overall this was a great hotel. It's got character like the hotels in San Francisco. It's not the most modern. Our suite had an AC unit that wasn't working and it was difficult to control the temperature. Loved the Rum House lounge downstairs for drinks before heading out. Easy walking distance to Chelsea and Hells Kitchen, both great neighborhoods for dining and hitting the bars. Great location for those wanting to hit the theaters as well.

The service and security are excellent but if you dont get an updated room its dated and typical nyc look. even dated its a value because its very clean for the price I paid its was a real value. If you cant take times square noise do not book here. It is all hours of the night and some constant construction for events the next day. Really that is my only issue is the notice as the rooms are all being updated and the service is very nice.

The rooms are on the small size, but a great value for NYC.

The location for the price was super, couldn't be beat. However, the rooms need some modernization. Bathroom is barely big enough to change your mind and really should be ripped out and reconfigured without a tub. The shower was a survival game of what degree of burn or freeze can you survive? The noise from street was insane but that's city life...I think? There are not enough plugs for electronic devices and why the heck are there no bathroom fans? Makes no sense!!!!!

The location is very good for the price. However, the hotel is very old.

The hotel was nice, but the rooms were very overpriced for the amenities. No free Wifi, no coffee makers in the rooms, tiny bathroom, very outdated decorating.

Great location. great price. not extremely clean or new but under renovation. For the price we paid I did not expect more. Additional for parking.

The hotel is ok but the room is very small. The shower however did not work well at all.

This is my hotel of choice in NYC. Near the theaters, near Times Square and I know the staff well. They've always made sure my stay was comfortable.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is its location being right in the heart of Times Square. It's only around 20-30 meters away from THE heart of Times Square. But everything else about the hotel is pretty bad, especially considering the price. The room looks like one of those cheap, cash-only-no-questions-asked motel rooms. The bathroom is ridiculously small. No in-room safe. Ice machine is only located on 2nd floor. I can go on forever. If you're not familiar with New York at all, and looking for a hotel to stay, give this one a miss. Find a hotel somewhere else, near subway station. It's very easy to get anywhere in New York using the subway anyway.

1/2 block from times square. The Hotel is nice from the outside but when you get in the rooms it has bad carpeting dirty and things didntt work well. I stayed 2 nights and when I checked in they didnt have hot water for 3 hours which I was for warned about, As I got in for the second night my room temperature was 140 degrees. Called downstairs because there is no thermostat in the room and was told they were shutting it off. Needless to say no sleep that night. Lastly a package was delivered for me and never received a phone call saying that something had arrives. Customer service. After all of this happeinng in two days I asked for a late checkout only to be told I would be charged a half day room rate. You cannot beat the location and the price but just be aware.

My girlfriend was in the bathroom at 10 a.m. and male cleaning employee entered the room without knocking the door! Outrageous!!! Terrible experience;(((!!!

For a 'gay 90's' building is has been weel remodeled and maintained. Particularly convenient is it's location in the middle of the the Times Square area; within walking distance of almost every broadway theater, and just steps from the Square. It is a mild stroll over to Radio City.

My husband and I spent a night away from home and stayed at The Edison. The old world charm and quaint rooms were wonderful. You step outside to be right in the middle of Broadway! We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Room was clean, beds were comfy, and the windows even opened! Hot water tended to come and go, it is an old building but very beautiful.

The hotel was very nicely done. The rooms are small as most NYC ones are, but very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the security check going to the elevators to keep none guests out. Very good access to anything in Times Square being only a few doors off Broadway. Checking in and out was a breeze with the staff and the maids were very attentive. The only drawback was our unfortunate visit to the Rum Bar (not part of the hotel - but attached to it) the service there was one of the worst I have ever encountered. I would definitely go back to the EDISON HOTEL.

The Edison is an old hotel, but may have been very elegant at one time. Moldings, ceilings, architecture in the lobby area was beautiful. Seems like it is in the process of renovating some of the rooms. Our room was not one that was renovated. Furniture,rugs,bathroom was clean but in need of some changing. It was convenient for us. because our daughter lives not too far from there. It was also a good location for Times Square, 5th Ave., etc. Would like to use this hotel again, but would ask if we could have a renovated room.

The hotel is simply perfect. Taking into account the excellent location (half a block from Times Square), it has a very reasonable price... it has a positive price/benefit relationship. Hotel is very clean, rooms are nice and spacious. I FULLY RECOMMEND this hotel for a stay at NYC.

If you are visiting NY to take in the theater, the Edison is for you. The best feature of the Edison is the location - its front door is steps from TKTS. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor is rather 1920's art deco. There are a couple eateriers and a bar on site for a quick bite. The rooms are clean, if a bit small. It was a little chilly before I figured out how to turn on the heat on the air conditioner unit. The bathroom was clean, but small and not very modern. But, the location makes up for that. If you have laptops, cell phones, and tablets, there are not many outlets in the room. The workout center is better than most, with elipticals, treadmills, bycle, and circuit weights - there is always someone in there cleaning up and towels are provided, but not water. Security is always on duty by the elevators, so I felt safe. No free wi-fi.

We were a little worried after reading some earlier reviews, but we were very happy upon arrival. Staff was great, renovated rooms were really nice. Could not beat the price in comparison with surrounding hotels. Rooms were clean and quiet. We had five rooms total and everyone was completely satisfied. Would recommend this hotel for sure.

Art Deco charm, great price, friendly professional staff & unbeatable location in heart of Times Square more than outweigh lack of a few amenities now standard in many hotels. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Pillows are polyester - the remodeled rooms are awesome - the older rooms are twin beds and a motel 6 room. Overall, great location, friendly staff, and reasonable price for Manhattan.

The hotel is near everything, but the beds were horribly uncomfortable and you could hear everyone in every room around you, as well as the hallway. For someone who had to be up at 6am for meetings, this was a poor choice.

No Hot Water! Also, the rooms look like they were decorated in the 50's and not very appealing to sleep in. With everything so old in the room, they look dirty and used. Walls were thin and could hear family next to me with baby at 230am.

Hotel reminds me of a high class 30's place. Room was large for Manhattan and comfortable. Location was perfect for everything.

Stay in one of the Signature rooms, you won't be sorry! They are renovated and very spacious. Complimentary wifi and SO close to Times Square.

Hotel Edison was a pleasant surprise. This is my fourth trip to NYC and I've stayed in a few neighborhoods. This was delightfully close to the bustle of Times Square and still far enough removed that we did not feel overwhelmed by it. The rooms are small but nice. Our room was next to some kind of maintenance room so we had some loud construction noises during two of the three nights. That was a little disconcerting. Overall excellent location. We love the lobby area with the murals and the historic character. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff in reception were very helpful and polite, and Samantha in particular, was most considerate in the location of the 2 rooms we had booked. The concierge was very informative and took time to answer our queries about sight-seeing trips. The left luggage attendants were courteous and considerate when we arrived, and needed to leave our luggage with them for short while. Our second stay here - would recommend. Good location - close to Times Square.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was awesome. The location was perfect. They are renovating rooms and the hotel right now but we did not have any issues while they were working. Would definately stay here again.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was fine with the exception of the beds. If you like extra firm beds, you'll love these. My wife and I, though, woke up each morning so sore we could barely move. Room and bathroom is a bit small but the hotel was built in the 30s. What do you expect? For the price we paid, it was just fine!
