I am not against owning pets but if I would have known La Quinta was pet friendly hotel I would have not stayed there, lesson learned for me. The reason behind this comment is that when my wife was about to lay down on the bed she saw a crawling bug on the pillow, she freaked out. The receptionist was professional enough to move us out of the room. This explains the (1) in the cleanliness of the room. Additionally the hotel looked like it needed to be remodeled because the hallways and elevators were of a cheap motel quality, this explain the (1) on condition and maintenance of hotel. I would not recommend that hotel to anyone unless you have a pet and can handle staying in such a hotel.

Nice hotel, short walk to the beach and restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Beds at La Quinta hotels are the BEST. Room was very clean (and pet friendly), cleaning crew forgot to leave one thing or another almost every day, but not bad. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed a week's stay and will definitely go back.

The staff was very friendly. The outdoor pool was closed even it was 80+. The facility looks very old. What we learned now after staying in 2 different La Quinta Inns is that all dog owners seem to pick this hotel chain. There are always many dogs in the hotel. So in future we will probably not book La Quinta again as sometimes there is a lot of barking and some dog hair in the rooms.

I saw numerous dogs of varying size - it's nice they allow larger dogs (ours is 70 pounds). Lots of conveniences - a Harris Teeter grocery store behind the hotel, the boardwalk/ocean are only two blocks away, Subway and an Irish pub very close too. We took advantage of the indoor pool and the continental breakfast. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to have a later checkout. Our family would stay there again.

Hotel was everything we expected and more. Staff were friendly and helpful, free breakfast daily, dog friendly and right in the middle of VA Beach. The location was perfect! Already booked a second visit.

Hotel was just as we expected and wanted. Pet friendly, convenient to oceanfront, lots of parking, good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the La Quinta Inn for a mini honeymoon. We really couldnt afford nothing to expensive due to our budget. However the staff at the hotel made us feel as if we were the Royal family. I will forever be grateful to there hospitality and willingness to make our little getaway as special as it was.

Hotel was clean.Room was clean and comfortable. A/C and heat unit was a little noisy. All in all it was a nice stay at a good price.

The LaQuinta hotel in Va beach was clean, affordable, and in a great location. We were even able to bring our dog. Check it out it's worth it if you are in the area.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites Virginia Beach 2800 Pacific Ave Is Truly Wonderful...I Was Totally Amazed At It Being Such A Beautiful And Well Kept Pet Friendly Hotel ~ The Staff (Employees) Were All Friendly And Very Helpful, The Rooms Were Comfortable and Clean ( It Was Perfect In Every Way)....When In The Virginia Beach Area Again I Will Always Pick This La Quinta Inn & Suites To Stay At.

I usually quite enjoy the La Quinta. I travel with my dog. We were planning aw eekend beach escape during the winter, enjoying long walks along the beach. The hotel is one block away,near shops and restaurants. most convenient, thanks

It is the only one hotel which is not located very oceanfront, but you can reach the beach in 5minutes by walking. It was clean and has comparable price for its condition.

what a great find. All the staff were extremely helpful. Nice well maintained, clen hotel. Welcomed our dogs and had everything we needed.

Very happy with the hotel. It was close to the restaruant we needed to visit, plus they allowed to bring our english bulldog at no additional charge. The 'continental' breakfast was a little lacking, and the bagels were hard, & inedible.

location is good. But the sheet wasn't change, garbage can wasn't empty when we checked in. We called front desk got clean sheets and a credit of one free night - only at the same location.

Nice place for the price in a good location close to the beach. My only complaint is the breakfast needs improving. Overall i would recommend to others.

We checked in around 5:00 o'clock and were asked what took us so long to get there. The room was not bad but the desk area needed to be cleaned. The noise level was HIGH but it was pet friendly.

The hotel is only one block from the beach and did not have additional charge for our pet. The reception desk people were most accommodating and the maintenance staff was very prompt in replacing the refrigerator that was not working. Considering the number of dogs in the hotel, it was rather quiet and clean. We have already recommended the hotel to friends who travel with their pets.

Very nice staff, great friendly place for dogs, nice area to walk around, close to beach, clean and comfortable.

The hotel is much more run down than I expected. I know it isn't their busy season but parts of it just seemed rough. The breakfast staff were terrible but the rest of the staff was friendly.

Good value,price was right, everyone was pleasant, 1 block from the beach. The keys didn't work well. All and all good value for the money

I think this hotel like most La Quintas maintains the reliability of the brand. Not flashy, but no real weak spots either. It was quiet enough so I never heard my neighbors at night. They fixed two minor problems in my 3 night stay pronto and turned down my tip. The continental breakfast was not very good, however so I ate out two of my 3 mornings there.

THe only complaint I had was--when I went to take a shower-the first water that came out was rusty. It surprized me, but clearly up quickly.

The La Quinta Inn @ Va Beach is a nice hotel for the price. It has a good continental breakfast and nice pool - one indoor and one outdoor. The staff is very helpful. The maintenance and cleanliness are the only things I was a little disappointed in. Labor Day weekend in Virginia Beach, though, I have to say, is CRAZY! We were there to run the Rock 'n Roll 1/2 marathon and had a terrible time driving to our destinations. There are hundreds of bikes everywhere and folks have no idea how to be respectful of others!

I think this place has been recently renovated- as far as the rooms go! The outside is typical. The lobby ok. The free breakfast area was def dated, and the breakfast was really just cereal and make-yourself Belgium waffles.... But... I thought the room and amenities provided at this hotel are better deals than higher rated hotels like the Hilton or Marriotts that I usually stay in. The parking is free and wireless Internet was free (in your room too!!)...a thing that comes at a price at the aforementioned hotel chains (despite paying more)...in fact our bedding was identical to the upscale Marriott chained renaissance hotel in Seattle, and furniture too... So it was a complete surprise because I thought it was be dumpy. Walk to beach is short and pleasant. Harry teeters is literally behind the hotel. Would absolutely stay again! Staff friendly. Exercise room no treadmill and only three machines (suppose not that important- but there is u need it ).

1 block from ocean, just close enough to walk and not be in the hustle and bustle with paying oceanfront prices.

This hotel was clean, a close walk to the beach and restaurants and they allowed us to check in at 1:00pm.

I originally thought that La Quinta was on the beach based on the price, but minor investigation will tell you otherwise. The place is simple, clean, and the staff is kind and helpful. I would likely stay at a place on the beach next time, but for my purposes, this did the job.

We have stayed at several of the hotels on the beach and paid much more per night for those rooms. La Quinta Inn & Suites Virginia Beach 2800 Pacific Ave was by far the cleanest and most comfortable room we have stayed in. The only drawback was that it isn't on the beach, it's a block away. One of the things we love to do is sit on the balcony overlooking the beach in the evenings, but we were so pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room that we will stay there again. It is not a luxury hotel, but a family (& pet) friendly hotel. We did not bring our dog, but others did. However, you could not tell that pets were there except for seeing them outside on leashes with their owners.

This hotel does not have much to offer for one the rooms at La Quinta in have very little space and not only that but it looks nothing like what they show in the pictures. when we went there 4 days ago our toilet got clogged up and we called for maintenance and it took about 3 hours for them to come and when we got there we saw a lot of people checking in with dogs and cats and i guess that is what explained the pet odors in the room but i would definitely say do not stay here go to another hotel because it has really poor service and the people in the front desk after every call complained about the work they did and about the people who called. not worth the money.

It was great to find a pet friendly rom but when we went in there was a cell phone blaring on the desk. No trash bags, trash in the corners. Didn't appear to have been cleaned under the bed either.

I recently stayed at the La Quinta in two different locations in Virginia. The hotel was great and the amenities were even better. Thank you for offering such a good value to your customers. I recently got a new puppy and was able to take him with me on vacation. I would definately stay in any La Quinta again.

This was perfect for us and our two dogs. Very pet-friendly. Easy walk to beach, shopping and food. And it has a pool which was a must for my wife.

The hotel was clean and allowed pets. We actually arrived at the hotel 3 hours early and the went ahead checked us in early without any charges. I realized they didn't have to do for me. It is very close to the beach and a super market. I look forward to booking the hotel again next time I stay in Virginia. The staff was very helpful and nice. I really enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast. My only complaint is that they don't limit pets to certain floors, like I've found in other hotels, so they can't offer rooms that have been pet free. When I requested a pet-free room at check in, they explained that they shampoo carpets, etc. after occupants with pets have stayed in a room. I have a hard time believing that. By the second night my normally well controlled asthma was giving me a fit.
