Comfort Inn Downtown Historic / Area - فيلادلفي

It was just an overnight stay, but I was able to appreciate the changes from when I last stayed there a bit more than a year ago. This time around the front desk had enough employees to deal quickly with the clients. They were very effcient and cordial. The room was all I wanted and expected except for one minor detail, they only carried decaf. So no coffee for me since I woke up too late for breakfast. Coming from New York, I also appreciated the fact that I could get so easily to the hotel as soon as I arrived in Philly, avoiding all that traffic. I was able to get to the room for some down time before I immersed myself into the city life.

Upon entering the musty smelling room we tripped ovet the dresser draws that were left open. I don't think the carpet was vaccumed because i stepped on a raisen with a long black hair stuck to it. Nasty! The tv and dresser had sloppy streaks as if someone used a dirty cloth and wiped the surfaces quickly in figure eights.

When we arrived a woman in the lobby was screaming about them charging her card too much, they asked her to leave and then made fun of the womans situation in front of everyone else in the lobby, not professional at all. Booked 2 queen beds, recieved 1 king bed. Booked a smoking room, placed in a non smoking room, asked to be moved to a room with a balcony instead, wasnt available, told to go outside. Safe did not work in room as told, had to carry valuables. Otherwise, clean room.

My children and I went to Philly for a vacation. The location was close to everything in the Olde City and the Hotel provided a shuttle service which was wonderful. I would like to commend Grace, the amazing Front Desk Customer Service Guru....She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and one of the hardest working women I have ever seen. We really enjoyed our trip! Thanks

My wife and I stayed in this hotel. The room they gave me was not cleaned. Bathroom was dirty. Hotel rep gave me another room. If you have car, you have to pay $ 23 per day. Good breakfast choice and great location to down town Philly. Walking distance to Starbucks and local Delis.

Overall the hotel was good and clean. Location is next to highways, so constant noise of cars was a problem. Breakfast was below AVG. Location otherwise is very good so I would def recommend if going to penns landing. For philly central, there are more options.

Terrible place. They had someone Painting the elevators gold and they set off the fire alarm twice. Didn't apologize. Multiple people were locked out of their rooms. Place was dirty. Only thing good was close to Old City.

Very noisy from the freeway, if you're on the city side

i called the front desk because the in-house movies would not charge my movie to the my room or credit card. it said "call front desk". i did, and the girl at the front desk said "that shouldn't happen" and "i'll send someone up." No one came up to the room so 30 minutes later i went down to the front desk, I'm on the 9 floor, and said no-one came up. She said she probably could fix the problem down there in 5 minutes and would call within 5 minutes to confirm. She never called, we never heard from anyone, we never got to rent a movie cause it got to late anyway. The kids went to get ice from the the 10 floor, machine broken. They then went to the other 3 floors that were supposed to have ice on 3, 6, and 8. All broken. Room had a stale odor. Like old smoke but we were in a NON-smoking room. Morning breakfast was terrible, staff couldn't keep up with the crowd. Hated this place but it was the cheapest around. Stayed one night couldn't wait to get out.

Great location and price. Had view of the Ben Franklin Bridge.Beautiful at night. Left too early to get breakfast. Parking was charged and was not cheap. I think it should be free or discounted.

I had a great experience here, my only issue was our room was a little dirty when we checked in, empty chip bag under the bed and a sock was under the bed sheets. Other then that the location was amazing! The staff was very friendly

very tired hotel and far too expensive for what you got

If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would!! I've stayed in hotels with a lower rating category and cheaper pricing with better quality that this! First off, upon using their parking lot (which they charge a hefty fee to park in since its the only place to park within miles), the lot was over crowded and they allowed guests to DOUBLE PARK behind me! Causing me not being able to move my vehicle for over 20 minutes until they tracked down the guest to move their car! Then upon coming back to the hotel for the evening around 1am to relax/sleep, we found the tv cable or whatever they use did not work, was black and white snow. When we woke up at 9:30am to use the continental breakfast they offered, we could not even get off our floor since the housekeeping staff was monopolizing the only two elevators in the whole building! We finally took the stairs! We get down to the lobby to find the lobby/dining area completely overcrowded. There was no where to sit and eat, and whatever staff was in charge of keeping the food & drinks replenished was not. There was no milk no coffee and no orange juice! Finally Grabbed an Apple Juice and banana, and proceeded with my fiance to head back to our room. Proceeding back to the elevators 4 or 5 housekeepers were waiting outside the elevator on the 1st floor as well! Since it did not appear that they had any concern for the GUESTS trying to use the elevator and were quite rude and unprofessional, we decided it best to climb the stairs back to the 4th floor again. To top off our stay, returning from the horrid breakfast experience around 10am, our friends who stayed with us, my fiance and myself had the scare of the day as the firealarm awoke them from sleeping and nearly made me spill my apple juice all over the room! We quickly grabbed our most needed belonging and exited to the hall where some of the housekeeping staff seemed unphased by this at all, even stating "It's probably just a false alarm". As others had mentioned (I didn't realize that it seems a persistent problem), the complimentary wifi was not working, and the staff was too busy to fix it. There was always a line in the front desk (average wait, for me, was about 10 min). I requested a quiet room in advance, and appreciated that they accommodated me with a room on a higher floor. However, the so-called city view rooms, which are facing busy highways, are still VERY noisy. They should have renovated the windows. Bathroom kleenex ran out (only 2 sheets left for me) and nobody replaced it.

The staff was very helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable...we loved that the beds had a ton of fluffy pillows :-) We had gone with the intent to see all the historical sites, and the walking distance to the Independence Center was more than reasonable. A good option for touring without spending an arm and a leg. Very pleased overall.

The Hotel was adequate. Very poor internet reception. Also it wasn't advertised that you had to pay $23/night for parking on the lot. Wasn't happy with this at all.

The location is perfect. 4 or 5 blocks away from Independence Plaza and Market Street. If your room is on the western side of the hotel, be prepared not to sleep very well because of all the road noise from I-95 and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Our room was okay, but the king bed was pathetically uncomfortable. The room must have just been remodeled because it smelled of fresh paint and grout sealant when we first walked in. The free breakfast isn't bad, with waffle irons, cereal, hot coffee, tea, oatmeal and fresh fruit. We had to track down our own forks because the attendant was nowhere to be found. And yes, the hotel charges an extra $23 to park your car for the duration of your stay! That was mentioned NOWHERE on the site description, so forewarned is fore-armed.

This hotel is several blocks over from the historic district in Philadelphia. The hotel staff acted professionally and overall was very good. However, the hotel itself is showing its age. It was a good value for someone staying only one night.

First room bed mattress was sunk in the middle, second room heat did not work, third ro ok m was okay. Horrible highway views from our room after I requested room with bridge view. Great breakfast and cool bar in lobby overall hotel needs major renovations. This was our second time staying there for Philly flower show and after this stay we will not stay there again. Parking attendent was rude too

Nice, clean hotel. It isn't brand new, but it was perfectly acceptable. It IS noisy because it is right beside the Franklin Bridge.

I normally do not give reviews, and I hate giving a bad review, but there are a few issues with this location... I'll start with the good: 1. The staff is friendly and helpful 2. The service and cleaning staff are good at their jobs The bad: the beds are terribly uncomfortable and must be about 50 years old. 2. the place stinks of cigarette smoke.

When I was at A/C in new jersey I stay at comfort inn I paid one price for everything I did'n have too paid for parking that was free when you book rooms they must let the guest know that I was shock when we had to paid $23 a night for parking also no refrig please up grade quick

the hotel is in an excellent location and the price is very good. the staff is very friendly. however the downside is that the room was not so clean. the bathroom was recently updated and looks great, but the rest of the room needs care. if you want a good location and price, this is the place for you.

I went to Philly with my boyfriend for 2 nights and stayed at this hotel for both nights. The hotel was very easy to find and a short walk straight out of the Greyhound Bus Station in the city center. It is located near a lot of highways and bridges, which we thought would be loud, but it was rather peaceful in the hotel room. The hotel staff were very pleasant and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the Ben Franklin Bridge, Penn's Landing Pier, and Delaware river. The hotel was busy but quiet. There was free internet access in the room and a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning between 7am-10am. There was also a little lounge/bar area in the lobby in the evening. The hotel was about 6 or 7 blocks away from the historic sites (about a 10 minute walk), restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and more. There were plenty of local buses located around the hotel as well. All in all, a very inexpensive, clean, convenient, and all-around nice hotel if you want a lot for the little you pay, compared to the other hotels in the area.

good hotel, good price, great location for vacationers. Room clean but carpet needed replaced. As with most hotels, could hear a lot of hall noise and the train from the Ben Franklin Bridge was loud, Staff very nice. Van driver Brian did help me out in a big jam! Thanks, Brian!

it was great

Considering the fact that I paid far less than any other hotel in downtown Philly, I thought this was a great hotel. It was clean and the service was good. Everyone I talked to was very nice, although I felt their knowledge of tourist attractions was lacking considering that they are in the heart of the tourist district. But a trip to the nearby Visitor center remedies that problem. They are right next to the highway, no doubt the reason for their economical pricing, so if you can't sleep through highway noise you'd better ask for one of their slightly higher priced "city view" rooms. Also, the second floor is the smoking floor and I could smell cigarette smoke as I entered my third floor room. But I am very sensitive to that and yet it did not bother me except when I first walked in the room. Bottom line, I felt like I got more than I paid for with this room, considering the going rate for other downtown hotels. No, it was not a five star hotel, but it didn't have a five star price tag, either.

Well first off parking is not included and cost a wapping $21 dollars. There is no other form of parking. Second there were minimal outlets in the room and all were filled. There was no where for me to charge phone or utilize IPAD without removing a plug. Other than that the room was nice, clean though the bed was out of position. The view was lovely. The Desk Agent unfortunately recommended a restaurant that delivered me the wrong meal and when they sent another it was undone!

overall good but a littile bit noisy. all the euipment are good. There is one bridge outside and it is noisy in the night.

Very Very freindly staff!!!! Omar was the bomb. Great location. Clean hotel only ding would be the carpet in the rooms is old.

this was the second stay at this hotel and while it's nothing fancy, the staff is friendly, the rooms are pretty comfortable and clean and the location is very accessible. I wouldn't hesitate to book another night here when I go back to Philly.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly. The shuttle bus driver offered to take us anywhere and was a pleasure to talk to. The surrounding area is beautiful and there is lots to see in walking distance. The room was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Lots of towels available.

It was noisy throughout the night. It was clean and everything was fine, but the walls were thin and I did not sleep well. I do not recommend it if you have an early morning. Otherwise great.

This hotel was extremely clean and staffed with cheerful and helpful personnel. We even met the plumber who is renovating all the bathrooms! Although the hotel is located next to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and on a very busy highway, there is a free shuttle to "Old City" where there are restaurants galore and it's a short, easy walk to historic sites. Continental breakfast was varied and plentiful.
