The jacuzzi suite is very nice and large, even if the TV placed in front of the bed would be better. Very good breakfast with waffles! Back entrance of the hotel very nice and car park very useful. Noise in the room due to ice machine. Little bathroom with respect to the room. Many towels available, especially for the jacuzzi.

Recently stayed at this hotel, it was clean and spacious. I was in one of the Ada rooms on the first floor with 2 queen beds. The guy at the counter was a bit smug, but I could care less. Parking was 22.00, I thought this was decent. Location is awesome, close to koreatown so nightlife was cool. The service desk called a cab for me, they arrived within minutes. I missed breakfast (slept in) but my friend ate and he said it was not bad. LA Rose cafe is nearby, walking distance if you miss hotel breakfast, and it is amazing. Close to dodger stadium so that was a plus

Really nice hotel at a good price. Gorgeous little inside courtyard for relaxing with a drink. Just below Hollywood Blvd, Griffin Park and the hills and also close to expressways to go in any direction. Metro stop also nearby.

Horrible location wish I knew that prior. Most uncomfortable pillows ever. But clean

We loved the hotel, all the public areas are renovated and beautiful, especially the courtyard where we relaxed avery night. Breakfast was great with fresh omelettes and waffles. Extremely comfortable beds. The only thing we have to say is that our room looked a bit dated with stucko cieling and the bath needed to be replaced, was clean but couldn't get to look clean. The neighborhood is very convenient car distance from all Hollywood attractions but we were caught in the middle of a police operation one night where the LAPD helicopter and many officers with guns were arresting a group of criminals...we already didn't feel safe after dark, let me say we never went out after dark again!

Excellent. Good value for money. A bit far from the airport and business districts.

Decent hotel. It was ok. I'd stay there again.

there were a party of 5 children and 5 adults and after a long drive the children were very tired and fuzzy. one of the hotel receptionist made a remark of " oh its turned into a daycare" with a smirk on his face. The child I was carrying has special needs and he was screaming and the receptionist started walking away with a laugh and saying I can't do this and left me talking alone. when he came back he gave me the keys to one room and let stated that I had reserved two rooms and again he just walked away and during all this time his co worker has a smirk on his face. I was so upset I wanted to cry. I finally confronted them after I had put all the family in the room.

It was so close to the Metro so we could go everywhere with no problems. Easy to get to Universal, Santa Monica, Farmers Markets,Downtown etc. Breakfast was sufficient and plentiful. Complimentary internet and wireless was also a great help to keep in touch with family.

Kids and I had a great time. Nice pool, although cold in mid-May, but still swimmable. Great breakfasts. Building and rooms attractive and comfortable in old-fashioned way, for example high ceilings, inlaid tile floors in certain hallways, balconies on each room and at end of each floor. Ample convenient parking, but expensive add-on to cost of room, which was otherwise a bargain. Staff not overly friendly but accommodating when we needed something. Great location for us, close to family who live and work in Hollywood, and easy to get to activities for kids, either driving or via public transport (Metro stations 2 blocks south and 4 blocks north). Good restaurants for adults within walking distance about 1/2 to 1 mile north.

Information was misleading - there is no functioning restaurant in the hotel. The bar is only open when the "comedy" show is on. The rooms have linoleum floors that need to be swept. I guess you should suspect trouble when a toilet plunger comes with the room - it is a necessity. Very dodgy neighborhood - every night, someone is sleeping in cars down the side street - had to call 911 one night - they handcuffed the guy and towed his car. Hotel staff was nice enough, but not really concerned with guest issues. Parking is secure, but you'll pay extra every night for that. Definitely NOT on my list as a repeat stay.

Overall, a place we would stay again, but only one chair in a room with TWO double beds ? Very nice breakfast, lousy water pressure in shower (but that may be due to age of hotel) toilets were the old,small ones and the slowest elevators in existence.. That said, we liked the location ( but surrounding neighborhood left a lot to be desired, but we got used to it) nice clean rooms friendly helpful people and very secure parking lot. The photo, by the way is from the rear parking lot, not the front of the hotel.

The convenience was close to downtown to the LA Convention Center. Considering the traffic in LA I believe best location possible. We were very pleased with the hotel condition, cleanliness of the room and comfort of the room. I would stay there again.

The staff at this hotel are unhelpful and pretty rude tbh, the location advertised is misleading you cannot walk anywhere but the metro is just round the corner which Is fantastic. The actual rooms are very nice and the hotel is clean. Surrounding neighbourhood is extremely unsafe! Wouldn't stay here again

Overall everything was great just a shame it wasn't as central as originally thought.

Phenominal location. On major street, with a Metro stop nearby. Car Rental Company in Hotel Lobby was very convenient. Loved other international visitors speaking different foreign languages. Didn't realize has a garden oasis retreat in center of hotel. Had a small patio overlooking garden. Some "ageing" in bathroom, but my opinion is that received an excellent value for the dollar. Free full breakfast was a plus.

I thought the front desk was very helpful and the stay was quite enjoyable.

We loved the spread for the free continental breakfast with the made to order omelets and waffles. Also loved the beautiful courtyard to drink in when friends came to visit. Super close to the Metro with great restaurants within walking distance.

My room smelled of something not good. The bathroom was so so small and only had a very bad shower. Missing and broken tiles at the base.

I was very pleased with the Complimentary breakfast every morning. The staff was friendly and the hotel was conviently located to everywhere I wanted to visit!! And I met Tabitha Coffy in the parking lot!! The highlight of my trip because I'm a hairstylist from the East Coast!!

Enjoyed the hotel for its history and unique being.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was my third time staying and I would certainly stay again when visiting this area

Nice hotel with pool and parking (although they charge extra for the parking). Good location for exploring LA if you have a car, between Downtown and Hollywood. Very clean and fresh decor, good breakfast choice including omelettes made to order. Pizza takeaway, Vegan cafe, and chemist / supermarket all within two minute walk. Recommended.

Rooms were clean. We had a room overlooking the courtyard which was very nice. So quiet at night I thought we were the only guests! Free breakfast can't be beat. Omlets, eggs or waffles every morning. It was easy to get to all the must see sights but hotel wasn't in a great area. You couldn't walk to anything. Cars are kept in gated area. I was vacationing with my 13 year old daughter and I felt safe just can't walk to anything.

The hotel is pleasant looking and the room were nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The courtyard was pretty and it was nice to have a patio off the room. However, there we no chairs to sit on on the patio. In order to get to the courtyard you have to walk around the hotel (inside) to reach the doorway. We had a complimentary breakfast that the desk forgot to tell us about. I heard someone ask a day later about breakfast. The book inside the room with hotel services offered a lunch and dinner menu at the hotel. There was no dinner or lunch offered at the hotel. We were told we would have a room safe, but no safe. They said it was in the renovation plans. The vending machines didn't work - it just ate your money. The service desk couldn't do anything about it. I would not stay there again.

The hotel was lovely. The subway nearby for travel. The surrounding areas were a bit dodgy but didn't feel unsafe.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now and enjoyed both stays. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, the breakfasts have a decent choice, could maybe have some more fruit but otherwise it's fine. Location is close to transit and not far from freeways. The only issue was the shower on the second trip, was a beautiful walk in shower but it was fairly cold and didn't have much power.

A very nice stay -- staff was exceptionally helpful and the free breakfast is outstanding, with an omelet bar and fresh waffles.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hollywood Hotel. It was conviently located and provided excellent parking services. For the cost of the hotel, I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. I would come back to this hotel again on my next visit.

Hollywood Hotel was reasonably priced and clean and well maintained. The gated parking was convenient and secure. The breakfast was as good as we have had at this price range with omelette chef and waffle station. I would stay here again if I did not have to drive west too many times.

Overall, clean, very nice. The water in our room was never hot and shower turned pretty cold after about 5 minutes - we let them know so hopefully they'll fix it. Didn't like having to pay for parking, especially since there was always plenty available - lots of open spaces, as well as street parking, unlike in Chicago or NYC. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was very good too. Would stay again.

Pros: -nice hotel, clean Cons: -broken machines couldn't buy drinks, had to cross over the street to the liquor store (pretty scary at night) -Super slow and old elevator, need maintenance - hotel room blow dryer are not strong died and came back on the next day

This hotel is located near to the Santa Monical Station. There are eating places around it, convenient stores are also nearby where water, light snacks can be purchased. The hotel is basic, a bit old but acceptable, bed is comfortable, front desk service is good. The breakfast spread limits to 1 portion of eggs, and it is the same everyday. Generally it is accepatable, but the only concern that I have is the surrounding neighbourhood. I seem to be in a Mexican town as I try to walk around the vincinity. Frankly, I don't feel safe with just being 2 ladies walking around. I decided to take metro whenever I go, and comes back before night falls. Perhaps I just want to be safe.

I booked this hotel because it said it was close by to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater and the "Hollywood scene." Close as in three miles. When I think of close, I think of walking distance. The hotel room was large and spacious but the bathroom was small and you could see that it had been remodeled recently. The room had not carpet but had tile. There were five of us and I had to pay $60 for an extra person--but that $60 didn't include a roll away bed--that would have been another $60. I'm assuming that the $60 covered the continental breakfast each morning. The scrambled eggs and omelette station was nice but other than that a typical continental breakfast. I was not impressed with the customer service. There was one young man that worked the afternoon shift who was really nice and offered to help us book a tour, but that was it. The room, as I said was huge and the bath room was small. When you are looking at this hotel on the hotels.com website, the photo of the hotel is actually the rear entrance to the hotel. The parking in back of the hotel is gated and locked and you have to pay$20 a day to park. Considering the neighborhood, it was worth it to pay for the parking We didn't have time for the pool but it we did look at it and it was beautifully decorated. It was okay--not too bad, but certainly not the greatest. I've stayed at cheaper and better which were both...cheaper and better.

Hotel is about a block from Vermont/ Santa Monica metro station so convenient to get from LAX airport and around LA as we didn't want to drive. Opposite metro is #704 bus that takes you to rodeo drive and santa Monica beach etc for $1.50 so very handy. Hotel was spacious and rooms were a little dated but comfortable with complimentary coffee, fridge and microwave. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the central courtyard which was nice but one night other guests were quiet noisy until 1am which was annoying. The room was a little dusty and the bed sheets weren't changed in over a week we were there for. Breakfast was buffet cereals, fruit, toast and made to order omlettes and waffles. Queues were often long. Overall not a bad hotel and would stay there again but a little rough around the edges. Tip: vending machines are very expensive, go to the am/pm petrol station opposite the metro station. Hotel doesn't have restaurant. Pizza Hut and subway (24hr) nearby. WaBa teriyaki rice bowl fast food restaurant is yummy and cheap.

Worn-out carpets, house keeping carts left in hallways, staff arguing in front of guest, front desk ignoring guest. But it is the "Hollywood Hotel, the hotel of Hollywood."
