The Annex at the Chelsea - أتلانتيك سيتي

I will never stay here again the room smelled. The service was lousey.. The valet parking was horrible.. On top of that they lied and charged me extra money on my bill.. People were fighting in the hallways at night..i will never stay here again and im telling all my friends in philadelphia not to book with this getto hotel..

No happy at all!! It was my fiancé Birthday! Me, my fiancé and a few friends drove down from Long Island! The moment we came into the hotel room it was a disappointment for the price we paid!! Rooms were small and did not have a pleasant look! Pool; much different the pictures they have online! Whole experience at hotel was pretty bad! Would never go back or recommend it to anyone!!

This was worse than a motel. We walked in the Chelsea, which looked great, but then when we got to the annex it was horrible. the room smelled like smoke, the beds were disgusting, the bathroom was disgusting, and there was only one mirror in the whole room. We had called down to ask if we could move to the Chelsea and that we did not care how much it would be and they informed us the chelsea was booked full. We then called from our cellphones and they said there was rooms left for "cardholders" only. You would think they would want to help out the people who were already there and didnt care about the money!!! i would never stay here again.

The annex is horrible. Worst that a half star motel.

Staying in AC and want modern/vintage? This is the place!!! The customer service was great. The lobby was beautifully decorated. I got tired if having to walk through a casino to get to my room at other hotels. At the Chelsea you dont have to worry about that. One thing that isnot noted is that AC luxery hotels charge a "luxery tax" in addition to regual sate tax. So just add a few extra dollars to your room rate for those taxes.

This is not a fancy or luxury hotel, but it is sufficient if all you need is a place to sleep after drinking all night. The rooms were clean and provided a comfortable sleeping environment. Biggest problem was that there was not a full length mirror in the room.

Took over 30 minutes to get my car parked so that was a bad start. Only stayed there because all the Casinos were over priced that night due to an event. The carpeting in the halls are dated and the walls in the hall are in dire need of painting. The bed was excellent. Other than an older bathroom the Room itself was very nice. They forgot to provide soap which is weird

The room had stains on the carpet and walls. The light fixtures were broken and the room was overall in bad shape. For $200+, it was rip-off. Its only positive quality is its proximity to the boardwalk which is less than a block away.

staff was great; valet parking was only $10 and the rooms were OK for the price. The bathroom was outdated but really no complaints. Try to avoid rooms on the street side, as the noise can be bothersome.

this place is one step up from An hourly rate motel !! this hotel needs a major overhaul one half where you check in is beautiful and any local spot in hotel is kept up ,but book in the annex & your transported to a flith box hostel type section of hotel .. bad elevators nastyhallways, and slammin room doors al ght keep you from a restful ight sleep ..greatest disapointment chck out wait for car in garage maids are rolling in carts of frsh towels & linens thru the stinky carbon monxide filled garage

The customer service is horrible! The rooms are average but adequate- for short stays. Bathrooms need updating. Pool was filthy. Wouldn't stay here again. The only plus is that it is steps from the boardwalk.

We've stayed at the Chelsea before, first time at the Annex. Enjoyed the proximity to boardwalk. The breakfast at Teplitsky's is great. Front desk and valet parking was great. Room in the annex seemed smaller. Had problems setting the temperature and shower pressure was not good. Would probably stay again, maybe in the regular rooms.

The overall stay was good however the hotel room doors look worn and beat up. The annex needs a makeover asap.

The Annex part of the Chelsea need a little more attention, it was cleaner when it was the Howard Johnson. The Ice machines were all out of service on every floor. We had to go to the main building 6th floor for ice. SMH....

The staff was excellent the condition of the annex was the worst .

Upon arrival the lobby was beautiful but what they don't tell you online is there is a $10 obligatory valet fee you must pay to park your car at the hotel! Walking to my room at the annex made me feel like I was walking into a scene from a horror movie the walls in the hallways and the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint to freshen the place up a bit. Upon entering the room I was greeted with a dank smell and a very old set of dresser drawers. Upon walking into the bathroom there was urine dried onto the toilet seat and it appeared as though the bathroom stepped straight out of the 60's. We had very few outlets, the only mirror in the whole room was in the bathroom and there was no mini fridge or even an ice machine on the annex side of the hotel. There bathrooms have low flow toilets and after two men using it the toilet was clogged and overflowed. The phones didn't work to call the front desk and after we contacted them in person to notify them of the situation we returned to our room 6 hours later to find that nothing was done to fix it alrhough the water level seem to have subsided on its own. After calling again, they slowly brought new towels but no one ever attempted to clean the bathroom or even take our dirty towels. While they did in the end comp the room, I was very dissatisfied with the state of a hotel that costs $250+ per night and the lack of attention to guests in distress.

My room was disgusting!! I had feces in the toilet, the bed wasn't made, there is nasty stuff on the floor in the bathroom, and they put me right next to the loud elevator. I would rather stay in a motel 6 in the hood then there. Tried to get a new room and I was denied. So I only checked in and checked out 15 minutes later.

The Annex is a dumpy, run down motel attached to the Chelsea Hotel. As soon as you round the corner to the Annex elevators the quality hits rock bottom. The rooms are small, furniture old and scarred, the bathroom not updated since the 60's (?) except for the sink. The wax is worn off the bathroom floor making the floors look dirty. The tub faucet handles were stripped. All this for WAY too much money and this was the "upgraded" room I got after I complained. My only positive was the comfortable bed and Dana at the front desk who tried to help me out. DO NOT THINK YOU ARE GETTING THE SAME QUALITY AS THE CHELSEA HOTEL!

It was expensive to stay and it wasn't very nice. The rooms are just ok, but there repaired holes in the walls and the lamps had tears in them. The rooms had those odd metal doors that required you to yank hard on them to just open the door. We had random people hanging out in the hallways and a couple of times people were partying and arguing in the hallway.

Stayed here for one night and it was very nice...room was clean, tv was large, bed was comfortable, furniture didn't really match but who cares...?

I personally think it was over priced for the quality. The room was old and dirty. The beds were just as hard as the floor. There was no full length mirror, which made getting ready very challenging. The elevators smelled and were scary. The bathroom was so outdated, I wouldn't call them clean either. I wouldn't stay there again.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for the Carrie Underwood Concert at Boardwalk Hall. You couldn't beat the location but the check in was extremely slow! On a Friday afternoon, have more than one person checking people in! We finally get to our room and while the decor is nice the bathroom is old, and out dated. There was a crusty, peeling bath mat in the tub that looked like it might give us a foot fungus. The room itself was clean but that bathroom was disgusting! I won't be staying here again. Very disappointed.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again although hotel was a little far away fr atlantic city's excitement or night life, but is a great romantic getaway spot. View was spectacular from our room...

The annex is a bit of the different place, the hallways, elevators and public areas seemed a bit run down once you enter into the annex side of the building, BUT the rooms was very clean and comfy and for me that is really all the matters with a stay. I would say it is a great deal for the price we paid. The room was almost 1/2 the price of even some of the motels in the area for a Friday night. Would stay again.

The hotel was dirty and the elevators broke down why we were there. The rooms looked nasty and wasnt cleaned from the last person who staid. I will never go back to this place

I stayed 1 night at the annex and I couldn't see myself staying more then one night. This section of the hotel is very old and run down. The elevator alone would probably make people turn the other way. Old elevator that bounces from floor to floor and took 30 seconds to open between each floor. Rooms were ok but small. We were surprised to see no mini fridge in the room like the description had said. Staff said it was only available upon request. Also had a missing light bulb from one of our lamps and a blown out iPod dock station. Staff did replace both though. Also very small bathroom. The best part of the room was the bed. Extremely comfortable but that's about it. The annex needs some serious renovating. The tower side of the hotel was very nice completely different then the annex. Not a bad experience but wouldn't recommend the annex. If anything go to the main hotel.

safe,comfortable a bit of a distance from shopping outlets. excellent jiney service, good clean room fresh towels everyday it helps.

I was guarenteed a room w/a Balconey & got none over the A/C Units. I even called ahead and again was guarenteed there would be a Balconey. Had to get the room changed and kept having to call & go to the Front Desk for 4 hrs before we got a room w/a balconey. Loved the overall Hotel complex, Chelsea Prime and the Spa, staff at Hotel was Fabulous. Just wasn't fond of the Annex at all. Bathroom Faucets in both rooms moved.

The only update seemed to be the flat panel tv and an mp3 dock. Wireless was available for no charge and very slow. Te furnishings were original from the 1950's and very worn. Veneer on cabinetry worn through. Hollow doors were fractured and peeling. No mirror in room, except in bath. Poor lighting and worse ac. Bedding was comfortable. Bathroom was also in poor condition. Although the tile was clean and apparently new,where it met the ceiling was gaping and needed a new tape job. The toilet was unseated and rocked. The towels sy have been clean, but they were severely stained and worn. The bath mat in the tub was grimy,torn and generally disgusting. If you want to stay at the Chelsea, stay in the Tower.

the location with the boards and the beach are perfect between the Trop and Atlantic Club....this is an older hotel thats comfortable ...we had a balcony room pool side that we enjoyed but the room needs some renovation but i do like the fact thats its away from the hustle and the bustle from the monster casinos,,,sitting and having dinner outside and poolside was the first for me in AC ....we stayed during the week so didnt get to experience the party on the 5th floor roof top but wandered in that area and looked around at nite and wow its awsome...the meal we had poolside was great and the happy hour prices are great......this hotel is family friendly and party friendly.....I cant say more for the staff they were friendly and funny and that says alot......if its your first time at this hotel wander around and take advantage of what they have to offer ....I will be back

After reading many bad reviews, I was setting low expectations. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how good the Hotel was. The rooms were clean and beds very confortable. Two swimming pools were very nice and the location was great. But what we liked the best, was the very friendly and helpful staff. They couldn't have been any better and all deserve a great deal of credit. We'll be back next year for the Airshow!

My group stayed in the Annex. We reserved two rooms under the same name but they could not accommodate for two rooms with a joined door. While the lobby, pools and main part of the hotel were very nice, the rooms in the annex were dated and we blew fuses several times while blow drying hair at same time as the room next door. Location to the beach was ideal and beach service with free umbrellas and lounge chairs was great! There was also a very helpful concierge who helped us make our transportation easy and very low priced! I would stay again.
