Alexandra Barcelona Hotel - برشلونة

Hotel Alexandra is in a great location between Passieg de Gracia and Ramblas Catalunya and is opposite the great tapas bar Cereveceria Catalana. We had a nice clean sunny room on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the street. I recommend this hotel

The location is really good! But the hotel staffs (especially the female staffs) are not nice and professional enough! They are not nice to asian! The female staff (tall and wear black frame glasses) is not professional at all and couldn't answer my question! Omg!!! The air condition is not working and the room is very hot! I heard other guest complained it at the reception as well! They should improve it!!

I spent one night at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel for a short business trip. Very nice, well maintained, good service. Conveniently located, only 5 minutes walk from the train station and shopping streets. I had a room with balcony, nice perk for smokers. The only item requiring improvement is the hotel wifi connection. Code system to access such service is extremely unreliable, very frustrating when you have important business email to send out. A proper (quiet) work zone with printers would be a sweet addition. Overall a pleasant experience. Recommended.

This hotel was an excellent choice in terms of location. 1 block from Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Tous, Hermes, Loewe, etc. Staff are very helpful and kind. Complementary Internet service, which is not a universal option in Barcelona-- although the Internet was not totally reliable. Sound proofed rooms, comfortable climate, hot water, comfortable bed, and a safe that accommodates a laptop. The room was clean. Elevator was very nice and functioned the entire time. No clock in the room. The hotel is very close to unique boutique shopping for all ages, plus there are numerous options for tapas and other great food. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and live entertainment was available on the Thursday evening I was there. Very nice. A half block from the hotel is the street that connects to Las Ramblas, which takes you all the way to the Mediterranean-- a walkable distance. My taxi to the hotel was about 23 euros, back to the airport cost 31 euros. The price varies based on time of day, amount of traffic, plus there is a surcharge for each piece of luggage.

The hotel is good value for money on a good location, not to far from the center and rather quite. `Public transport nearby, bus, metro etc ...

Check in time says 12 noon. We arrived at about 530p after a long day of traveling but our room was not ready. She not so friendly lady at the desk said 10 minutes and after 30 we asked for a drink to be comped at the bar, they did. After another 30 minutes we asked for another and they gave it to us. Finally got our room at about 730p ! Room was ok, not a 4 star - used to be. Old, worn towels and old furniture. Clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. We purchased water at a local store but the did not change the glasses the whole time we were there and they were obviously used. Best thing about the hotel was the location- very close to the Gaudi properties which was why we stayed in the first place.

good location, close to Ramblas and close to Gaudi buildings. Located in the most exclusive area of Barcelona. Well-appointed comfortable rooms and good service at the front desk

The staff was very accomdating and pleasant. Ester was very helpful and a very pleasant person. The bell boy was very expectational in the handling of all of our bags. We were a party of six. He had a wonderful smile and very attentive. Everyone at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful to us.

the hotel is in a great location close to all the Modernist buildings in L'Eixample quarter of Barcelona. Walking distance to the Ramblas and also the fabulous Sagrada Familia which is an absolute must see (get there early to reduce your queueing time). Just around the corner from loads of restaurants and street cafes for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner. Friendly staff and comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Though not in the Barri Gotic, this hotel was close to many major sites. The rooms were simple and clean.

A great boutique HOTel..... HOT as in no A/C on spring, (i know its preatty common in diferent places aroun Europe) sadly it was a 30C day, to hot to enjoy the room. Location however, unbeatable!!!!! I'll recommend it.

The staff was warm friendly and knew all the places I needed to go to. I had a last minute arrangement for a costume party and without hesitation, they knew the place to send me. I very much enjoyed this stay and will definitely go back to this same hotel over and over again.

We were given a standard room which was dirty and abit run down,Our booking was for a superior room,Reception change us as soon as the mistake was noted. Superior room was on the top floor over looking the Rambles, But with no balcony. An up to date room quite large with a kingsize bed. The bathroom was stylish and large with seprate shower room,toilet and washroom. The hotel was suitated in a very safe area of the Rambla de Catalunya with tapas bars and shops very close, A perfectly postioned hotel. We had just a room with no breakfast as the hotel breakfast seemed to be very expsensive, just headed out to one of the Pâtisserie for fresh coffee and Croissant in the morning. The room did not have any tea or coffee making facilitys which i felt was was a bit strange, as most hotels will have this as a standard. apart from a room mishap and coffee facitly it was a great hotel and would use again.

The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are new and clean. The rooms facing the street are VERY loud at night. No gym or business office to use computers, etc. The hotel is closer to the Green line train (2 blocks) than the Yellow line (6 blocks). Of course, we constantly took the Yellow line and had to walk. The neighborhood is very upscale (Chanel, LV, etc on our block). BUT if you want to be close to everything Gaudi, this is the place. La pedredra is one block up, Casa Batllo is three blocks down, very cool to see all this great architecture as you're walking around.

Excellent hotel and neighborhood. Everything was outstanding.

Overall we enjoyed the accommodations.

Great upscale hotel, amazing neighborhood, l"Eixample quarter, clean modern, free wifi, walk to cool restaurants, sidewalk cafes and bars, great price. Stayed somewhere else first few nights and had to take $10 cab rides to this neighborhood.

Traveling on vacation. Didn't have an agenda, but found this hotel. Ended up trying another hotel after staying one night at the Alexandra, but ended up returning the next evening. Great location, plenty of shopping and great restaurants. I'll return next time in Barcelona.

Hotel Alexandra is a everything you want in a moderately priced hotel. Clean, quiet, pleasantly decorated, comfortable room, efficient/friendly staff, convenient location for visiting and touring Barcelona. Would definitely go there again.

Great location, one block away from the main roads and about 3 blocks away from the beginning of the pedestrian shopping road - La Rambla. Room quality was very good - flat screen TV, minibar fridge, safe, and marble bathroom. The TV even had channels in multiple languages for those who don't speak spanish. View overlooked the road, so not much to see and was a little noisy from traffic. The week I was there was extremely hot and the room AC was able to keep up, but the lobby and hallways were a sauna. The staff was very helpful considering I don't speak a word of spanish and were able to provide directions and assistance with the internet access. Best selling point for me was a central location in the city. I did a lot of visiting in several parts of the city and everything could be accessed by a short walk or a fairly cheap taxi ride. Several times I walked to the beach, only about 20 minute walk down La Rambla.

This hotel had large rooms (American-style) with a nice bathroom and shower/bath. The location is central for Barcelona, but a bit of a hike to the gothic quarter. For it's price, it is a bit of a steal for the service. I would stay again.

Overall, the hotel is a nice property. The location is good and the staff friendly. Our concern was that the beds were not very comfortable. We also specifically requested a king bed and instead got two twin beds pushed together.

This hotel was perfect! Right outside on the adjacent corner there is one of the best Tapas restaurants in Barcelona (Super Packed), If you want a great location in an upscale part that isn't in the madness of the Las Ramblas direct area, this is it. If you are looking for a great stay, great price, close to everything (walkable to the beach), close to the subway, and a clean modern vibe then this is it. Very pleased with my stay. If you are in your early to early thirties then this is prime real estate!

We loved this hotel, the location is amazing and the young lady at the front desk Mireille is great she guided us to different areas that were amazing !!! If you go to BCN Alexandra hotel is a hit

Not very good experience. I arrived late at night and the recepcionist was rude and showed desinterest. The hotel is nice and clean. The parking is horrible. Do not use it. Of course nobody will offer help carrying your bags. It's a shame because the location is excellent and both the room and the common areas are beautiful and clean. The horrible experience checking was reafirmed checking out. It's difficult to understand how the direction of this hotel allow this to happen. Not recommended.

Yes, first impressions are glamorous - the facade, the lobby, the mezzanine floor and ground floor bar. But in a city as cool as Barcelona with some genuine hot hotels and restaurants, the Alexandra is a pretence of a boutique hotel. My room was dark, faded and tired - which is a good description of the attitude of the staff with the solitary exception of two ladies on Reception, one French, who were exemplars of the service one would like to see throughout the hotel. Ordering drinks or snacks at the bar or pavement cafe is laughable - five of us waited twenty minutes without acknowledgement. The two male managers who preen like cockatoos outside the hotel need to address genuine care and attention to this expensive charade before it folds from sheer inertia. Look out folks - appearances are deceptive and I will never go back. Pay the money and stay at The Claris or The Abac.

Tres bonne impression, personnel tres à l'écoute et attentionneé, chambre décorée avec goût.

Jeg og min mann overnattet på Alexandra hotell i forbindelse med 4 dagers miniferie til Barcelona. Hotellet hadde ypperlig plassering i forhold til både serverdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Kan anbefale restaurant Cervecería Catalana som ligger 1 minutt fra hotellet (Mallorca 236), her har de nydelig tapas! Ellers var personalet strålende, både i resepsjonen og i baren. De kan mye om byen og snakker godt engelsk. Rommet er moderne inredet og vi fikk en liten balkong der vi kunne nyte morgen solen. Dusjen er herlig, med stor "overhead" dusjhode. Eneste minus må være at sengen var litt hard. Barcelona er en fantastisk by og et opphold på Hotel Alexandra kan absolutt anbefales som et godt utgangspunkt.

Jättegod frukost.Lugnt och skönt hotell.Låg ett jättebra tapas ställe ca 100 m från hotellet.Det heter Tapas Catalunya.Mycket populärt ställe så man får boka bord eller vara beredd på att vänta på bordet i 1 timma.

Vejbeliggenhed hotel, med let adgang til gode tapes barer i nabolaget. Gå afstand til Rambla, Sacrada Familia. Behagelige værelser.

Hotellet ligger sentralt midt i bykjærnen av Barcelona. Gangavstand til severdigheter og "RAMBLA" og "Turistbussen" med holdeplass bare et steinkast unna. Samtidig var det rolig - da det lå i en sidegate. Kan absolutt anbefales til gjester som ønsker å se Barcelona på 4-5 dager. Flere bygg med Gaudi-arketektur i nabolaget . Vi koste oss.

Min kone og jeg har netop været gæster på Alexandra Barcelona Hotel i 4 dage, 3 overnatninger. Opholdet var bestilt gennem Hotels.com og alt fungerede perfekt. Ved ankomsten var indtjek helt uproblematisk og vi kom hurtigt på værelset. Meget velbeliggende hotel i forhold til den fantastiske by. Skønt værelse, rent og pænt. I det hele taget et lækkert hotel som lever fuldt og helt op til sine 4 stjerner. Vi havde blot bestilt overnatninger uden forplejning og, hvis jeg overhovedet skal "bøvse" lidt skal det være over prisen på morgenbuffet - den var dyrere end den aftensmad vi indtog rundt omkring på restauranterne i byen. Heldigvis ligger der en lille bager/café kun ca. 100 m fra hotellet, hvor man enten kan indtage morgenmåltidet eller købe morgenbrød og kaffe og tage med på værelset. Vi vil gerne give vores bedste anbefaling til Alexandra Barcelone Hotel og kommer gerne igen!!! Vi kommer helt sikkert igen til denne skønne by, der byder på så mange oplevelser.

Trevligt och fint hotell som ligger bra med hyfsat nära till det mesta. Dyr frukost som vi hoppade över, det finns många trevliga små kafeèr i närheten som serverar frukost till en bråkdel av hotellets priser. Fint och rent hotellrum, snyggt badrum, men avloppet luktade illa.. Överlag ett bra hotell som jag kan tänka mig att komma tillbaka till.

Nous n'avons pris le PDJ à l'extérieur, un peu plus loin dans la rue, pour que ça revienne moins cher Chambres sont correctes, confortables, modernes, spacieuses et calmes. Jolie baignoire de Starck. Dans la chambre de nos amis, il y avait une douche massage.
