Help at front desk is USELESS, not eager to help. I stood there for several minutes waiting to check out while the employee continued to go on about his past few days off. Totally unorganized , and unprofessional. Breakfast was average at best, and room was worn, and had funny odor. Definitely would not go back, surrounding hotels look newer and safer than this property.

Value for money - certainly. Holiday hotel - questionable. Located right next to the I-15 with no views and Denny's as a neighbour. Suite was big enough but dark and a little tired. Breakfast was only just worth the effort! As an en route hotel its fine - for a vacation -pay a bit more and stay closer to town.

Hotel is conveniently placed by the freeway, surrounding area has lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Got the hotel because of the breakfast in the morning! So good! Room was awesome for the price!

I had relatives in town for a retirement ceremony, thus, we had 3 rooms for four nights. The beds and room were very comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfying. Our only complaints would be that during the entire stay, the room phones didn't work. Also, on the night before they left, we ordered "to go" bags with snacks as my family had early flights the next day. We were told that it was no problem, but in the morning, a different front desk clerk didn't want to give us all four bags that we had ordered. She said she only had four for the whole hotel. After we explained that we had ordered four the night before, she reluctantly gave them to us, but only after we threatened to make a complaint. Don't know what happended with that.

Everything from the pool to the front desk service to the cleanliness to the great breakfast...this place was the place one would want to stay. The room was comfortable, quiet and BIG.I received a suite for less than a room from the hotel next door. I'll be back!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. This is our third stay here within a 12 month period. My husband and I enjoy the hotel because of the living room separation. We can be in the bedroom and the our grandchildren we often travel with can be in the living room area watching movies and playing their electronic games with much comfort for all!!!

Length of stay five days. On the first day I reported a broken drawer handle (never repairered). Only one working ice machine out of four for the entire hotel during the stay. Beverage machines not well attended. Cable television unsatisfactory: advertised stations missing or not operating (e.g., The Weather Channel, Fox News Channel); only one news outlet; no business news. Replacement coffee for in-room coffee maker hit or miss. Front desk staff seemed indifferent.

The room was trashed prior to our arrival, we understood the extra time needed to clean up the mess, so I told them we can check-in until late evening, they can have all the time. When we checked in at 10:00 pm, there were footprints on the coffee table, crumbs on the sofa, sticky substance covering the phone, door handles were falling off the door... I took a towel and wiped down all the surfaces and went down to tell the night clerks, they weren't very responsive. But it's graduation week, all hotels were fully booked and we were all tired so we stayed. Next morning, the day receptionist was more helpful. He said he understood and would have given us a refund but since we booked thru hotels.com, we would have to go thru hotels.com. So when I got home, I contacted Hotels.com and they in turn try to talk to the hotel. And guess what, they wouldn't do the the refund! Hotels.com did refund us in full but I think the hotel is at fault, not Hotels.com...

moved to three different rooms first room - np shjower curtain and housekeeping complained of how much water was on the floor after shower in handicap room second room sink had problems third room - bed was shaped like a boat- have back problems if i had to sleep in bed would have caused more problems end of sleeping on couch. this is my two night stay at the hotel. I would deserve a refund of nintry four dollars a night. confort suites HA - Bates Motel night mare

Very Nice. very convenient location. Close to freeway and stores. The room is spacious Staff are friendly specially the lady serving in their hot breakfast kitchen. She is very accommodating. We will sure book again in this hotel when we go back to San Diego. Friendly staff, reasonable price with free hot breakfast; this hotel is a winner!!

Everything was great. Only thing was you could hear water running when someone in other room was using water.

We just spent 5 nights at this hotel. Accommodations were fine although the rooms are showing their age. Hotel staff was very cordial. The continental breakfast was incomplete compared to what you get next door at the H.I. Express (owned by the same company). Biscuits were still cold from refrigeration and had to be heated in a toaster. There were no seasonings like salt, pepper, ketchup, Tabasco to add some life to the bland fare. A microwave in the breakfast area would be a nice upgrade as well. Next time we'll go next door to the H.I. Express where the lobby, etc. isn't as glamorous but the rooms and breakfast are more appealing.

Rooms needed to be updated desperately! Had a sort of dingy smell.

I got a rate better than AAA. I was able to add a day close to the same rate, 2 days before our stay. I was able to cancel the last day at the last min, due to a personal schedule change. With out a penalty. The comunication between Hotels.com and Quality Suites was successful and very cooperative.

I stay at this hotel about 8 year ago i found it very much inproved. I will stay again and recommend it to other.

Good for stay with good price

Hotel was nice, great location. Under some construction. A/C did not work in room, repair guy came to fix, stayed on for only a short time after repairs, did not have A/C the rest of the night. Everything else about it was really nice, location, friendly staff.

This place is not fancy, but has all the comforts you need while traveling. Most important to me are: 1) cleanliness; 2) the bed; and 3) air conditioning in hot weather. The room was clean, I slept comfortably and like a baby, and the air conditioning kicked in fine after we had a word with the front desk -- so I was happy. Plus continental breakfast in the morning was just what I needed. Definitely staying here again when we come to San Diego.

The room I was in had a problem with its air conditioning; it took forever to address and finally I was offered another room. I know things like this happen; the problem is that this hotel was grossly understaffed....it took forever to resolve a relatively simple matter.

great stay, third time here, would recommend to everyone. The staff was great and the room was really comfortable. Above expectations for the price. Nice courtyard and love the biscuits and gravy at breakfast.

The suite was small, but suitable for our needs. There was very little counter space and only one set of towels though! The location was a little bit difficult to get to because you had to go down to the end of a road, u-turn, and if you miss the ONLY entrance, you'd end up on the freeway or down the street & have to do the whole u-turn thing again.

Room needed complete renovation. Dirty, from wall, doors to floors. High Speed Internet non existent. Pool was not something I would swim in. Pool was cloudy and a yellow/green. Socks or shoes in room a must. 3 years ago this was a clean, well run hotel.

Problems with the internet

We've stayed here before (the first time wasn't a good experience and they offered a comp re-stay the next visit). The room this time had newer furniture which was a great improvement from the first time. The walls could stand a makeover (wallpaper is peeling off). Staff was friendly. It was a 3 night stay, twice the maids forgot our towels, but the office quickly supplied them once notified. Continental breakfast was convenient, good selection (cold cereal, hot cereal, pastries, breads, coffee, milk, OJ, fruits, etc). Pool was crowded. Spacious room with bedroom and separate living area, included convenient microwave and fridge. Location is about 15-20 mins from Sea World. Rate seemed reasonable for a holiday weekend and the room size... in comparison with other hotels in the area.

I had to wait in line when I checked in - was asked to step aside so 4 other people could check in - while the person answered the phone and checked in everyone else, Really frustrating. Room was behind an elevator - even though I could see other rooms available - I was told it was the only room. Again frustrating. The room would have been great if the elevator wasn't in the way.

great room for the money. I recommend this hotel to others.
