Atenea Calabria is nice and very affordable and it provides basic kitchen amenities, however, nothing to do the dishes with, so you need to buy those things yourself. There are two supermarkets literally next door which is very convenient. The room itself was nice and had a big balcony but no chairs. The hotel has a complimentary wifi but it works poorly. The staff was nice and helpful :)

Not very luxurious but clean and good value for the money. Professional reception service and friendly obliging staff. We would stay there again.

The location was 3 bus stops from the Catalonia Sq., you can walk it but not at the end of the day. 2 supermarkets next door. The room had a cute balcony and a table with 2 chairs. Desk people were very helpful, bed was good. Breakfast was not cheap but good enough in the choices of what to eat. TV had 40 channels but not even a one in English! We were surprised at that. There was no dishwashing liquid or any other suitable soap for the dishes and housekeeping didn't do dishes, we had to use bath soap to clean the utensiles we used. Will stay there again if the chance comes up, only because of the price per night. We stayed there 3 nights. The neighborhood is residential.

Very convenient location to Metro station. Plaza Espanya is not far from this place either (so you can catch bus from and to Airport quickly)

Noise, old, and inefficient wifi connection

Close to Metro.Walking distance to Plaza Espanya. Housekeeping was very stingy with supplies. Desk forgot wake up call one day,was unapolagetic.Gave us breakfast service after rest. was closed to make amends.Would definitaly stay there again.

also has supermarket if you want to pickup something for breakfast before leaving. good to pickup water for the day to avoid having to pay for water during meals

The staff were helpful. The rooms are small and need upgrading to be a 3* hotel. The rooms had worn out vinyl tiles and the bathrooms had worn out tiles. It is a studio apartment split into to two sleeping area using a closet. There was a no sofa or sitting area, when you have beds in both sleeping areas.

The location of the hotel is ideal to see most of the centrally located sites on foot. For getting further, you can use the metro (beware pickpockets) or get a tourist bus from Playa de Catalunya (15-20mins walk). We had read reports saying the hotel could be noisy but we had no problem of that sort. There was an excellent TV in the room and the air conditioning was very quiet and effective. On the minus side, there was not much kitchen equipment and decoratively, the hotel could do with updating, but these are minor points.

Hotel is very basic. Noise from hallway and other rooms penetrates thin and poorly isolated walls.

Hotel is at good location, good area....hop-on-off bus within 10 mins walk. Staff are very nice, speak good english and very responsible. We ask for wake up call at 7:00am and we had our room phone off hook by accident, staff came to our room to knock on door to make sure we are up. Room is clean and wifi service is good, unlike other hotel we stay at Barcelona, they claim they have wifi but show network busy all the time. Overall, we will stay here again if we visit Barcelona again.

Beds were not very comfortable, but location was good and the room was good for us as a family with a queen bed and two twins for our 2 teenagers. A wardrobe and shelves divide the 2 parts of the room. Small kitchenette was useful. Breakfast was good and priced fairly.

the location is close to Place d'Espagna and close to a metro station. these are apartments with kitchen with frig., stove, dishes, microwave and water heater. all kept very clean. air conditioning worked well. free wi-fi in room worked well. staff very helpful and friendly. the breakfast was good (not included in our price) the only downside - the mattress and pillows are not very comfortable... there is a supermarket next door and several eateries/restaurants in the neighborhood.

Good deal, economically. Loved having access to a kitchen and small market next door. Bed was fine, but cots for kids were the hardest mattresses we have ever seen. Ever. No complaints otherwise. Would definitely stay there again, even if the neighborhood seems a little seedy.

THE STAFF AT THE DESK WERE VERY HELPFUL IN GIVING US DIRECTIONS,CALLING TAXIS,ETC.

This was my second stay at Aparthotel Atenea Calabria.The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Located conveniently to metro and within walking distance for city centre, 15-20 mins.Minor detail but a bit more attention could be paid cleaning windows and floors. Apart from that staff spoke good english for us philistines, and were pleasant and helpful.

Dog v ar der en lille ting, der var stillet en flaske shampoo og en flaske skumbad til 4 personer, og som skulle holde i tre dage. Det er under al kritik. Men ellers var vi godt tilfredse, dejlig morgenmad, et smilende personale.

Inget störande buller, hade rummet mot innergård....helt OK Promenadavstånd till LA RAMBLA (ca 2km)Bra frukostbuffe för oss från Skandinavien: Omelett, bacon, korv, youghurt ,smörgåsar med pålägg ,juicer, fika ,frukter ,the, kaffe. Dessutom perfekt att kunna göra egna inköp i matvaru-butiken som låg vägg i vägg, då rummen har Micro och eget kyskåp.Det enda som kan upplevas som negativt är att städningen av rummen kan ske sent på dagen (14-15)Men rekommenderar detta hotell och skulle gärna välja det igen då vi besöker staden.

Personnel agréable et disponible! Hotel situé à côté du métro, bus, bars, restaurants, gare, monument, restaurants et supermarchés. Tout simplement parfait!

hotel trés agreable. Seul petit probléme : la fine épaisseur des murs et le fait que certains clients de l'hotel ne respectent pas leurs voisins. Mais on ne choisie pas ses clients.

Vi var et par i50årene.Vi storkoste oss.Stor fin leilighet med det vi trenkte og til en billig penge.Rent og pent.Flott beligenhet i en rolig gate.Hyggelige personale i resepsjon og spisesal.Helt grei frokost.Vi fikk veldig god innformasjon den natten som vi sjekket inn.Ikke langt fra de viktigste severdighetene.Mange resturanger og upermarked.Vi hadde et som nermeste nabo.Stort utvalg.Noe vi kunne savne var en bar på hotellet der du kunne kjøpe deg litt og drikke og sitte å hygge seg litt.Men ikke noe stort savn.Vi anbefaler dette hotellet til andre som liker å ha litt romslig leilighet og rå seg på.Vi kommer gjerne tilbake

Très bon rapport qualité prix.Le parking est juste en bas et surveillé. Une supérette également juste en bas, super pratique pour faire ses courses. Ce n'est pas un standing supérieur mais à mon sens tout y est et c'est propre. Métro à 3 minutes à pieds.

Olin lasteni kanssa viikonloppulomalla. Lapsiperheelle oikein hyvä hotelli huoneiden käytettävyyden ja hotellin sijainnin suhteen. Palvelukin oli hyvää ja ystävällistä.

O quarto é espaçoso e com todos os recursos necessários a uma breve estadia. A pequena cozinha tem tudo o que se precisa para rápidas refeições. A limpeza é adequada, apesar de pequenos detalhes pouco significativos. Os funcionários são tão atenciosos quanto os catalães/espanhóis podem ser. A localização é ótima, perto do metrô e com supermercados, restaurantes, cafés e bares próximos. O único problema é o barulho. Os quartos são muito barulhentos. Na parte da noite, hóspedes menos cuidadosos podem impedir o seu tranquilo descanso. De manhã bem cedo a limpeza do estabelecimento acorda todos os que têm um sono mais leve. Enfim, bom, mas barulhento.

Huone oli erittäin siisti, ja hotelli hinta/laatusuhteeltaan erittäin hyvä. Aamupalamahdollisuus vaikutti hyvälle, vaikken sitä käyttänyt. Aivan hotellin vieressä sijaitsee ruokakauppa, josta pystyi ostamaan huoneen jääkaappiin tarvittavat ruuat. Huoneissa pystyi myös kokkaamaan. Hotelli sijaitsee lähellä metropysäkkiä, joten kulkuyhteydet ovat erinomaiset.

Hotelli oli sijainniltaan lähellä monia nähtävyyksiä. Metroasema lähellä. Monipuolinen supermarket aivan kyljessä. Siisteys ihan hyvä. Ainoa haittapuoli oli, että äänieritystä ei tuntunut olevan. Äänet kuuluivat kuin ihmiset olisivat olleet samassa huoneessa.

Het enige nadeel is de enorme gehorigheid. Had het al wel gelezen in andere beoordelingen maar ik dacht dat valt vast mee. Niet dus. We werden 'snachts wakker van het gesnurk van de buurman, tv's waren overduidelijk te horen evenals het gepraat van beide buren. Los van dit nadeel was alles prima. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, schone, nette, ruime kamer, een ingericht keukentje, supermarkt naast het complex, metro halte op 3 min. lopen. Wat wil je nog meer...

El personal genial, muy amables en recepción y restaurante. Decepciona el estado de la habitación (nos tocó una grande situada en la última planta con terraza y dos camas individuales), que necesita visibles reformas: muebles antiguos, sistema de calefacción por aire deficiente, la persiana del baño estaba rota, el mueble del baño abombado por la humedad y la cocina parecía de los años 80, a la que por cierto le faltaban utensilios primordiales como una espumadera, un escurre platos o jarras para el café (sólo había pequeñas tazas de café). El armario no se podía abrir del todo porque las puertas chocaban con la cama. La comida del buffet muy bien, aunque eché de menos el zumo de naranja natural. El hotel está bien comunicado y al lado (literalmente) hay un Mercadona.

Started out with a bad mixup where we got key to other peoples room. Okay - mistakes happen - we got new room. Perfect balcony facing street, kitchen with everything we needed, supermarket next door, nicely dimensioned room, tub too small but I'm completely satisfied with my stay at Atenea Calabria. Girlfriend was extatic and wants to go back.

bon accueil, service attentif, français parlé, 200m du métro et 5 mn du centre et de la rambla.

l'hôtel par lui même est bien situé, entre la place d'espagne et la place de catalogne, le personnel d'accueil est sympathique, très pro, et francophile... il y a un parking juste à côté, avec un tarif pour les résidents de l'hôtel... le métro est à 500m... ordinateurs disponibles dans le hall et conection wifi gratuite dans les chambres... la chambre est agréable, bien meublée, les matelas sont de bonne qualité... Par contre, les murs sont sales, un petit coup de peinture serait à prévoir, et l'insonorisation est très mauvaise... on entendait aussi bien, les gens parler, prendre leur douche, les enfants courir, crier, et ce jusqu'à tard dans la nuit... dur dur de s'endormir... Et très mauvais point pour le petit déjeuner; le jus de fruit est insipide, les céréales, le café et le beurre de très mauvaise qualité... j'ai essayé les saucisses, oeufs, bacon, c'était guère mieux... très gras et mal cuit... Bref, un hôtel abordable, bien situé, avec de bons services, mais qui peut vraiment mieux faire... juste pour dormir, c'est bien...

Trés bien situé dans quartier assez calme , 10 minutes à pied de la place Catalunia et des Ramblas et superette juste à coté. Literie moyenne et coin cuisine minimaliste mais sufisant pour petit dej.Par contre pas trés bien insonnorisé et si on tombe sur des gens pas respectueux du sommeil des autres , les nuits deviennent trés courtes

Une très bonne impression,le parking,mitoyen payant avec un prix préférence,l'accueil et le nettoyage de la chambre très bien,le petit déjeuné 8 euro à volonté,le seul petit défaut nous avions une chambre très bien mais au premier étage donnant sur les toit intérieur nous aurions préféré une chambre avec balcon sur la rue.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, unweit einer Metrostation und der Plaza d´ Espana. Uns hat es gereicht für Übernachtung, ansonsten ist das Zimmer nicht sehr einladend. Die Handtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt und das Zimmer war sehr sauber.

Hôtel très bien situé. Personnel de la réception très dévoué et multilingue. Endroit propre. Le WiFi fonctionne bien dans les chambres. Seul bémol: l'insonorisation est pratiquement inexistante et les chambres inscrites "Jusqu'à 4 personnes" conviennent mieux pour 2...

Alldeles lago´m bra för mig och min man! Fanns cyklar att hyra på hotellet, det rekommenderas varmt.
