I stay here about 12 time a year. It is pretty nice. Though the staff forgot to clean my room this trip, and I had to stay in the lobby two hours for them to do it.

VERY ENJOYABLE - except air conditioning problem one night and pool could be warmer.

The hotel pool area was overcrowded and difficult to find seating. The hallways had dirty trays fromroom service and the shelves were not wiped after the food was removed. The Regency Club breakfast was very nice but the space was too small to accomodate demand. No airport shuttle is a disadvantage.. Rooms were spacious with nice veiws.

I was disappointed that after paying a good amount for the room, I was still charged for parking, resort fee and WiFi access.

Was a perfect family destination for a last minute spring break trip. The hotel staff was most pleasant and accomodating though at times service was a bit slow due to the number of guests particularly at the pool. The pool area was a lot of fun for the kids but it could have been cleaned more from day to day use. Many of the side tables and areas around the lounge chairs were dirty from the day before's use.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Grand Champions for our two young boys' spring break. The hotel was very busy and it seemed to be a popular destination for families. We spent a lot of time at the pool where we noticed, despite a "policy" that folks would 'reserve' chairs by the pool starting in the wee hours of the morning. The pool area was very gross. Standing, muddy water under the pool chairs, wet, soiled swim diapers left on the pool deck, and one morning, a lovely dead mouse under our chair. Our last day there, our room had not been cleaned at 3:00, I called housekeeping and asked for it to be cleaned and the sheets changed - got back, the beds had been made, some clean towels had been left, but nothing had been cleaned - not hard to notice when you have two little boys using the toilet. This hotel was a real splurge for us in price and I'm bummed that our stay couldn't have lived up to the cost. Other than that, I thought the lobby was lovely, and the mountains were pretty.

The hotel was lovely and my stay basically okay BUT no one told me that I needed to pay $100.00 up front for having a pet. I also needed to look at my bill carefully since I was charged bar fees and pool fees which I had not used. Also, parking in self service with a $10.00 fee I believe is excessive- that should be part of room charges ( in the $23.00 per night fee. Other clients were feeling the same at the Hotel Desk when I checked in.

Golf course is the Indian Wells Golf resort which is not part of the Hotel. Great staff will take you over there on a cart but you have to pay $20.00 day fee to use the practice facilities unless playing that day. Hotel has a fun 9 hole putting course. They have two Pools, one for everyone with lots of children understandably noisy. The other is adult but has blaring music in the afternoons so there really was nowhere outside of your room to sit and read/snooze quietly. this is of course dependent upon the luck of the draw regarding fellow guests. However would be nice to have one quiet pool,without cellphones would be bliss. But again they cannot be faulted for fellow guests. Staff were excellent,and even tho between Xmas and new year being a busy period food service both at the bars and Pool was quick and efficient. Rooms large with high ceilings. Nice bedding, large Bathrooms w tub and shower.Heating /air conditioner a little noisy . Overall a nice experience. Seems many Hotels now make up for their lost extravagant phone charges with compulsory resort fees.

Beautiful grounds, renovated lobby, great service, amazing front desk staff, huge bathrooms but sadly outdated and badly maintained rooms. The couch had a very visible rip on the center cushion - really suprising that housekeeping allowed this room to be released to guests. I really did not expect to see a ripped cushion in a hyatt property.

It is just a little too much... EVERYONE there eants to have a conversation. The "host" asked us to email the manager with a personal review... They all tried too hard. The room was dated. The tub was dangerous to get into or out of for a shower. The biggest issue is they had self contained heat pump units in each room. Everytime ( about twice an hour) the units kicked in and woke both of us. The trick was to turn off the one in the room and use only the one in the sitting area. Grounds were clean and beautiful. Remember, all of these hotels tend to "alacarte" you to death. For the price of a full night stay, you can get a message. Food was good and suprisingly reasonable and good.

Great property with attentive staff and wonderful service. Only problem was that there is not a good pedestrian path between the hotel and the Esmeralda next door. I also wish I knew about the bike rental service- I would've taken advantage of it!

We were in awe from the minute we arrived at the Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells, California. The Grandeur and Location of this Resort made it very special and the Dedicated/Attentive Staff were committed to making sure our stay was a Truly Memorable One! Everyone went out of their way to see our questions were answered and any comforts were at their immediate attention. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to staying there again very soon.

No need to leave the resort if your only there for a few days.

Great Hotel and Great Staff. Very helpful in multiple ways. Camp Hyatt was awesome! My kids didn't want to leave.

Excellent stay, our hotel room was very nice, clean and inviting! We stayed in the room most of our stay and enjoyed the bar @ the pool area.. Also enjoyed the ping pong table and volley ball areas.. All staff were very polite and nice.. Everyone kept a smile on thier face and were very helpful! The hotel location was perfect!!!! We will return soon with the kiddies!!!

Had a great stay. Plenty of pools. What I liked about this places more then other choices is they have an adult pool with no children present, So if you want a little peace with no screaming children this is noice selection

The hotel was a great family vacation spot with numerous pools, including adult only to get away from the kids. There were additional activities, not quite as many as other Hyatt resorts, but still more than most hotels. The hotel was undergoing renovation, which was needed in a few areas, but was still very comfortable. The only downside of the resort was the limited menu in the restaurant which got boring after a few days, but there are a lot of dining options in the surrounding area. The staff were great at the fitness center, which was very spacious, clean and with a lot of equipment for a hotel center. The SPA was also very good.

Wow!!!! What a wonderful and friendly staff. I was very impressed with our service. Having worked in the service/hospitality industry for over 20 years I'm really hard on friendliness issues. The staff had none. Every person who walked by had a smile and/or a friendly greeting. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bar was open late with a good selection of drinks. Restaurant had a limited menu,but the food was delicious. We enjoyed our time at the Oasis(1 of 7 pools)pool,with drinks/food poolside. Would recommend this resort to all my friends and I have to visit this resort again someday.

For the past 8 yrs or so we make an annual trip in Aug. Rates are low so we can afford the ridiculously expensive daily resort/parking rates. $23/$10 respectively. When we checked in the staff did an extra security check on our card because they had fraud/hacking problems with Citibank back in the spring. We were thankful for their diligence until the next day. Our bank contacted us with an alert. Looked like someone hacked our acct. Found out the hotel charged us twice for hotel fees because they couldn't get the first try to post even though the bank posted both charges against our acct. Hyatt didn't bother to let us know. Manager said they would waive the resort fees for our stay. Upon check out they had charged the fees. Checked with front desk and said they would only waive for 2 of three nights. We are done with Hyatt. The rooms are just rooms and the pools are nothing "Grand". There are hotels in P.S. just as nice as this one that don't charge for parking and pool use. Guess the economy isn't as bad as we thought and they don't need our business bad enough to stand by their word and to communicate with their customers.

Spent a couple days there with the family. The property is a little older (built in the mid 80's) and undergoing a remodel in the lobby, but by and large it's a great facility. The rooms were large, well ventilated, and clean. Had a pool-side room with easy access to the facility. The golf is amazing - that in itself was worth the trip. The people are great as well. Everyone there was happy and eager to help. I highly recommend this hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel! There are so many other hotels in Palm Springs that are SOOOO much better! Pool area was dirty with trash and dirty towels. Service was not good anywhere in the hotel really. Never saw a manager the whole weekend we were there which I thought was strange for a Hyatt! Same price as all the other nice hotels in the area! Stay somewhere else!

The hotel is superior for its amenities and staff friendliness. The rooms are large and comfortable. However, we were charged for snacks the hotel left in the room that we did not eat. When we contested the charge, the hotel staffer told us that there are sensors in the room that detect if the bags were moved for more than 30 seconds. Seriously???? Creepy! This alone will keep me from staying at a Hyatt again.

Me and my girlfriend went for a nice relaxing weekend get away to Palm Springs to find that this Hyatt Grand Champions was a kid haven with kids every where..... If you have kids great, if not buyer beware.....! you wont escape them!!

The Hyatt was great, the service was amazing. We got a free upgrade as it was our anniversary, the staff was extremely polite and helpful especially, Chad at front desk/check in. We needed a microwave in our room and the request was taken and completed within ten minutes. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pools nice. The only issue if you can call it that is that indian wells is a little bit of a drive from the main palm springs area especially the outlet malls and the aerial tram. But if you are just looking for a getaway from the hustle bustle.. this is the place to stay!!!

What a great resort facility. They really cater to families. There is something for everyone (Camp Hyatt for the kids to the Spa for adults).

We had a very nice time there. the resturant food was very good, pool nice and the room comfortable. Our only problem was when it was check out time they charge you $23 per night resort fee. when booking as well as checking in they never said it was a resort fee. Hotel.com didn't have it on there reservation page ether!

Hyatt Grand Champion in Palm Springs CA. Grounds are very pretty. Hotel room was ok. You will be charged a resort fee of 23.00 a day and self parking is 10.00 a day. Make sure you do not pick up anything from refreshment tray or fridge as your credit card will be charged even if you put it back. The parking stinks the self parking lot is very small so you have to valet park for 25.00 a day. I don't think I will go back there.

You can do better

This is a wonderful place to stay with things to do all day long with or without kids and without having to leave the hotel site. But, you will have to leave in order to eat since the service at the bar is the worst and the prices for food and drinks are the highest I have even seen. $15 Pina Colada, $8-$9 for a beer, $22 for the smallest Sunday buffet (continental with an omelet station).

My husband and I love to go to Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa. We enjoy the peace and tranquil atmosphere of the Aqua Serena Spa and the beautiful surroundings. The guest rooms are so spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It is our favorite Hotel in the Palm Springs area.

We were very pleased with the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we wanted a hotel that we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Every staff member from the valet to the front desk, to the pool area was very polite and friendly. The service was amazing everywhere. The grounds are beautiful there are plenty of activities for couples and families. Although we were without our son, we were very impressed on how family friendly the hotel was. Activities and movie night for the kids. Not to mention the 7 pools and a separate "adult" pool. We had a wonderful stay, just wish it could have been a bit longer!

The extra fees really add up. I understand the resort fee that included internet service in the room. That was great. I just didn't expect it to be charged each day we were there but that could have just been my own oversight. The fee for overnight parking was another extra expense that really added up each day. On top of that, the "taxes and assessment" fees that were added to our bill each time we charged anything to our room was somewhat unexpected. One example was the one drink (Irish coffee) I ordered from the bar downstairs that ended up costing almost $15.00 after the price, fees, and taxes were added up. I don't think that even included the tip we left. I thought that was expensive for one drink. ....Even though the extra fees were excessive, I still had a wonderful relaxing time at the Hyatt. The customer service was outstanding and the hotel was beautiful. The gym was amazing with state of the art cardio equipment. Beautiful and very well maintained landscaping. Very very nice.

Arrived at 10:00 pm. They did not have King Size Bed ready. They then had house cleaning get one ready while we waited. We got to our room with a walk out view of the parking lot. The furniture was dated and stained. (dirty looking) Carpet looked like something out a college dormitory. Ask for a late checkout on a Monday> Told they do not do late checkouts on Monday after the hotel manager told me that it would be ok on Sunday. By then I was ready to run out of there. Beach towells felt like sand paper. Sliding door roller did not work. Promises by front desk went un attended. Overall I would just try a different property. Good news there are plenty to choose from in the Desert.

Whilst neither of us play golf our room had a wonderful view over the golf course. We had been traveling around California and came to the Hyatt for 6 days of relaxation. The adult pool was perfect with its comfy loungers, pretty views and peaceful location. The grounds around this hotel are beautiful and we love the Lantana on the patio in the evening. Wonderful stay.

The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very accommodating. It is expensive though you can run up quite the bill on incidentals. There is a $25.00/day service fee for the pool and gym that you can not opt out of. Not sure why they don't just raise the rates by that much. We did have a nice stay though, the grounds are well kept and if you golf the course is amazing.

Not up to what I perceive as Hyatt standards.
