Hotel Indigo Downtown Ottawa City Centre - أوتاوا

Pleasant but a bit cheaply reno'd; beauty is skin deep. Mattress was ol-style. Like the size oif the hotel and general environment was appealing, but quality of furnishings and general upkeep (paint here and there) is not as good as it looks in photos.

Staying at this hotel was a joy. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel itself is very unique and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the shower was a little odd with no door. The most frustrating thing about the hotel is the parking. Its all underground and u have to take 2 different elevators to get to the hotel or the parking and have to walk through the merriot to get to either aswell. But over all great experience.

Awesome decor, friendly staff and very clean rooms! Will definitely come back and recommend.

My girlfriend wanted to check in before the 3 pm check-in, and she was able to check in at 9:30 am. This isn't guaranteed, but it's an example of Indigo being accommodating. Our room was very nice and the bed was enormous. We could pick up the wifi too, so we just called downstairs and they gave us the password. No problems at all, very nice. Newspaper at the door in the morning. Great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on and they came with a mountain of pillows! The staff was very friendly and personable. My only complaint was that the room was very cold and wouldn't warm up. However, the staff was great and sent up a space heater that worked perfectly. The hotel is only about 4 blocks from Parliament and close enough to walk to the Byward Market.

Very accomodating, had our room ready early on request, and staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and with good amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

I liked the hotel. Nice decor and staff. We were placed in a room that had a locked double door to the adjoining room. Unfortunately the family next door had a five year old that was yelling after eleven at night. When I called and asked the front desk for another room they did not hesitate. Other than that our stay was nice. One thing that disappointed me was that the video on their website shows complimentary bath robes in the suite (I love having these when I travel). I was looking for them in both of the rooms that we had an they were nowhere to be found. I thought that was a bit of false advertising. Would be a nice touch. I recommend adding them.

EXCELLENT HOTEL EXPERIENCE. LAST MINUTE BOOKING WITH HANDICAP ACCESS. WILL RECOMMEND TO OTHERS HOTEL INDIGO HAS A GREAT INHOUSE RESTAURANT.

Escalators did not work. Food in hotel and table service gets a 2. Slow and not tasty. Otherwise a good and clean place to stay. Costly to leave car in their garage.

Great location to walk through the city. The Hotel is located within walking distance of most major attractions. The staff was always courteous and helpful.

the front desk staff were execellent had a very enjoyable stay

We checked into the Indigo for seven nights. The hotel advertises as boutique and the billing fits. The hotel lobby is sleek, and the rooms are newly furnished and very clean. An added bonus was the spacious walk-in shower we found in the room. The hotel is located right downtown; Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and Byward Market are all very short walks away. The fitness centre, sauna, pool, and hot tub are shared with the adjoined Marriott, and the pool can get rather cramped as a result. It also doesn't have a deep end, which I found disappointing. The fitness centre I found to be very nice, and not busy later at night. Wireless internet was complimentary and generally fast. Parking was $19/night in an underground garage. The garage was around the block, but connected to the Marriott, which connects to the Indigo. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. I think the Indigo offers very good value compared to other hotels in the area, and I would stay here again.

The staff were excellent. The hotel is very clean and it is in a prime location. I found the room to be very small though. I was told there would be a fridge in the room and there wasn't. I had to use my washroom sink as a cooler by filling it with ice, and then had to wash my hands in the shower. I found that the amount I paid for the room was too much for what I actually got. I found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable to the point that when I woke up I couldn't turn my head left. That made for an interesting drive home! And the one thing that agrevated me the most was that the hotel charges $1 per LOCAL call!. Rediculous! Staff=great. Hotel=meh.

We were very happy with the location for Ottawa Race Weekend. We were disappointed by the fact that despite discussion on the phone with reservations, we were given one queen bed instead of two doubles. We opted for a cot rather than change rooms the morning of the race. It was ok but made the room crowded. My friend got a glass shard in her foot from the bathroom floor but other than that it was clean and lovely.

Lovely boutique hotel

Comfortable hotel for a short stay in the city centre. Good location for the Parliament Building, Rideau Canal, Byward Market etc. Our room might have been a little small if you were planning on spending much time in it

hotel was very nice and clean but no door service, no car service and no help for luggage. Self parking was down in the garage and you had to go through another hotel and than a serious of elevators to get there. Room was nice but small - not much room. Also wood floors and were slippery. 20 mth toddler kept slipping on the floor.

Very nice, well maintain hotel with nice pictures on the bedroom wall. High quality bath products, the smell everywhere (in the rooms, the hallway....) is wow! I usally don't pay attention but there it was noticable! The downtown location, walk distance to the parlement, the nationnal theater and restos! Nice pool and gym on the 3rd floor. The employees are very nice!!! Really liked it!

We have stayed at the Indigo many times because of its great location. This time we went skating on the canal but it is just as convenient to the Byward market and other summer attractions. The hotel itself is nicely appointed and the bar is quaint. For some reason, we were quite disappointed with the service and food quality at breakfast. The wait staff was inattentive, the coffee was warm at best, and the french toast was hard as a rock. The menu said it came with MAPLE syrup be it was definitely artificial. This was the first time we were dissatisfied so we will give it another try next time we are in Ottawa.

The room was a nice size, modern. The bed was very comfortable, the double stall shower was great! Can't beat the location, especially for the price. Pretty much everything about this hotel was great. The only thing I could put in a negative category is that maybe they need to have a certain time that is designated to adults only for the pool and hot tub....according to the spa area check-in we were not the only people that left when we saw the number of kids running wild in the pool area. The other thing...the bar could stay open later. We would definitely stay here again!

All was perfect but we could hear everything in the room next to us, and it was very noisy.

I have stayed at this hotel on more than a couple of occasions. Staff have always shown exemplary customer service. Very helpful and friendly. Always accommodating with late checkout requests. Once when I was not feeling well but was waiting for taxi to airport in the lobby, I was offered tea. I thought that was thoughtful. Always helpful with luggage ... waved away tip. Very convenient downtown location. Highly recommend to fellow travelers.

Nice new hotel with open air lobby, located right downtown. Friendly front desk staff, always smiling and/or saying hello when we walk by. Now the bad news: The rooms are so small you can barely turn around without bumping into a wall or a chair. No place to sit and eat. Just a small desk and chair. Very hard bed, and cheap linens. Towels are just as cheap and small, and you only get one towel. You can ask for another at the front desk, but that doesn't do any good when you've just finished your shower and realize that you have to dry yourself off with a facecloth! Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours talking, doors opening and closing, people walking above you, etc. For a brand new hotel, you'd think they would have insulated the walls and floors! Our room was on the inside of the building, with the window facing the lobby. Kind of strange, and we had no way to see outside and check the weather conditions, without getting dressed and going down the lobby and looking out the front door. And of course no option to open a window to get some fresh air, as the air was very hot, dry and stale. However, if street noise is a concern, then an inside room would be a good alternative. Parking is also pricey, and a bit inconvenient as it's underneath the building next door. So you have to navigate 2 escalators to get into the Marriott hotel next door, and then a tiny elevator to get to the parking garage. Ramps are very steep and narrow (and creepy), and won't accomodate a full size vehicle such as van or SUV. I might be able to understand the prices they charge because of their location, and the fact that they are right in the heart of the city, surrounded by all the gov't offices. However, for a personal leisure trip it's just not reasonable to spend that kind of money for something sooooo small and bare bones. Maybe corporations and government agencies can afford to pay for this when they send their employees on business trips. Seems like this is more

unique interior design elements... less boring Staff was friendly, although not too experienced, it looked like....

Hotel indigo is clean, comfortable, and the staff is helpful and pleasant. It is nice ane close to the city centre which makes it very convenient to stay in.

I stay at the Indigo at least three or four times a years on business. The hotel is fantastic, the rooms are clean, the common areas are beautiful and the amenities are on par with quality hotels across Canada. The staff really is fantastic, going out of their way to be of service, always greeting me (many times by name). The location is also great for the convenience of myself and my clients. There is plenty of parking in the area and the location is central in downtown Ottawa. I would highly recommend the Hotel Indigo for anyone visiting Ottawa for personal or business reasons.

We spent two nights at this hotel and it exceeded our expectations on every level. The room was large and very clean, excellent bed and bedding. Large Flat screen TV with premium movies available. We had room service and were pleasantly surprised.. the food came promptly, it was hot and it was delicious. Try the salmon- very good. We will return to this hotel the next time we are in Ottawa.

Hotel bien placé avec piscine et salle de sport qui sont bien agréable après une journée de visite ! idéalement placé pour visiter la ville , toutefois attention aux prestations fournies: - eau payantes dans la chambre - breakfast inclus : limité à 10 $/pers au bar de l hôtel qui sont très vite dépassé vu les tarifs appliqués

De par sa localisation, vous aurez accès à de nombreux restaurants pour déjeuner (Starbuck's, Second Cup et Tim Horton's) au coin de la rue. Pour des restos plus approprié pour le souper, je vous conseil d'aller de l'autre côté du canal Rideau, près du Marché. Nous étions à Ottawa pour le hockey. L'autobus passe sur la rue Albert, soit à 2 coins de rues. L'autobus pour se rendre au ScotiaBank Place est soit la 403 (régulière) ou la 263 (l'express). Attention, 2 billets d'autobus par personne pour l'autobus régulière et 3 billets pour l'express. Petit conseil, aller souper à Ottawa et non au ScotiaBank PLace (71$ pour 2 bières et 2 sandwich avec 8 ailes de poulets!!!) Nous avons bien aimé notre week-end sans voiture. Il faisait beau et chaud, donc nous nous sommes promené dans le centre-ville. Essayez le! Nous, nous y retournerons!!!

El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones, está céntrico y tiene un restaurante que es muy cómodo y cuya comida no está nada mal.

un peu mesquin de faire payer la petite bouteille d'eau mise à disposition dans la chambre. Absence de frigo/mini-bar.

Excellent hôtel, très bien situé, impeccable, accueil parfait ; piscine et salle de training parfaites. parking à l'hôtel; restaurant tout à fait correct à l'hôtel. Une très bonne adresse à Ottawa avec un excellent rapport qualité/prix. A recommander +++

Hotel tres propre et chambre bien décorée, lumineuse et reposante. Différente des chambres habituelles aux couleurs drabes et rideaux bruns... En plein centre ville d'Ottawa, à proximité de plusieurs restos, cafés, centre commercial, et plusieurs terrasses à quelques minutes de marche. seul point negatif; isolation laisse à désirer... (Nous etions en couple, pour aller voir les Habs contre les senateurs et nous y etions en 20 minutes avec l'autobus qui passe au coin de la rue.) Je le recommande.
