Bed was very hard...because of that won't stay there again.

We found our accommodations at the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites spacious, clean and well-appointed (with mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker) but the location of our room was probably one of the worst that can be found on the property. We were in the end unit on the second floor of the so-called non-smoking tower (even though I had heard that the entire hotel was non-smoking), right along Banff Trail where a light rail transit route runs. Let's just say that we did not sleep well. But if you can get yourself an interior room, we are sure that you will enjoy your stay and consider it good value for your money. The hotel is conveniently located (just seconds away from Highway 1) and its complimentary continental breakfast is enough to get you going in the morning.

We stayed at this hotel on the night of Feb 18th and we accidentily left behind a sleeve containing some DVD movies however when we called back the next day to have them put aside for pickup, we were told nothing was found in the room?? We know that the movies were there......

I was surprise to book a smoking room through the net. . luckily the front desk question this and I had to paid extra to solve this problem.Isn,t all hotel room is smoke free.Thanks

comsidering the price, very good hotel to stay.\ I will go back anytime.

We needed a room for one more night in Calgary and we saw this one and scooped it up. There was nothing really wrong with the placed it was just older and tired looking. Our room had a bit of a strange smell when we entered but wasn't overly repulsive or anything, just not a clean smell. The beds were a bit soft, room a bit dark, toilet paper holder too close to the toilet, and you could clearly hear the C-train rumble by. The pool was nice and bright though and since we were only there to spend the night it served it's purpose well. I would recommend this place to anyone just needing a room to store their stuff and sleep as there's not a lot in ways of ammenities at this location.

The thermostat was not working. It was 26 degrees in the room......very uncomfortably warm. The coffee maker was dusty and didn't seem like it had been used and cleaned for quite awhile.The room generally needed a 'pick-up' or renovation. The lady behind the receptionist desk was friendly and polite.

It was a very nice place to stay. It was great having a microwave and mini fridge in the room as well. Breakfast wasn't to shabby either. Staff was friendly as well. Rooms and lobby were very clean. The location had lots of traffic going by though, so it was a little noisy, and the beds were a tad hard, but besides those two things the stay was great.

Great location, 5 min walk from McMahon Stadium. The hot tub was great after watching the Outdoor Heritage Class hockey game. The Rapid Transit system is a two minute walk. Just be aware that this hotel charges extra for non-smoking rooms. I inadvertantly booked a smoking room and there is no way I would do that on purpose. Look carefully when booking to get the type of room you want. Otherwise, this hotel was just what we needed for this weekend.

There is a $20 charge at this hotel to get a non-smoking room. The smoking rooms don't smell like they have been cleaned or aired-out in years. The windows don't open so you can't get fresh air in. The room was clean and modern, ours had a kitchenette, microwave, fridge. Very poor lighting in the room. The bathroom had good water pressure but our tap was loose and the shower curtain was so short and too close in the tub that it stuck to you when you were showering. Opening the bathroom door helped this some but it wasn't ideal. My friend with me had stayed in the non-smoking rooms previously and said they were much nicer. Unfortunately we were only offered a smoking room on hotels.ca so that is what we booked. Don't make the same mistake.
