Fairfield Inn by Marriott Corpus Christi - كوربوس كريستي

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the family we were visiting during our stay in Corpus. The hotel is located near Moore Plaza. We drove through this shopping area and were shocked to find a few police cars in the parking lot. When we asked around we found out that had been a rash of muggings, car jackings, etc. in that area. The hotel itself wasn't necessarily worse off than others of its tier in other areas. They were actually painting the outside of the hotel while we were there. Unfortunately, they hadn't informed that this type of activity would be occurring when we checked in and it disrupted the naps of our small children during the afternoon. The room itself wasn't as clean as it could have been. We found someone else's spit in the bathroom sink upon checking in. There were some black hairs on the bathroom floor that hadn't been removed. We were not impressed. Another annoyance while we were there was the children from a traveling baseball team that were running up and down the hallways all night. It didn't appear that any of the hotel staff bothered to try to control them at all. As is usual with kids their age, they found pleasure in knocking on random hotel room doors and then running off. We informed the front desk, but it happened two more times before we left the next morning. We were on the 1st floor and only about 4 or 5 rooms from the front desk. We will not be staying at this or any other Fairfield Inn in the future.

Only problem I had was it was very cool that evening I proceeded to turn on heat - light smoke from evidently (according to desk) new electric coils triggered the fire alarm in my room - I changed it back to AC and fire alarm stopped. The other problem i had was the signal for TV - several channels - specifically news - images froze and message appeared stating "no signal" - this happened quite frequently -

we had asked for an extra bed one was brought in but it was in very poor shape the springs were not attached or missing . i was told that since i had booked through a third party it was all that i could expect even that i had paid in full before we occupied the room

Booked room for 5 people, got there and they only had rooms with 2 double beds. I had called ahead and even verified they had a pull out. Ended up sleeping on the floor! This hotel is not the typical Marriot quality, it was on the same level as maybe a laquinta. We had stayed at the san antonio marriot the night before and loved it, this was a disappointment for sure. wont stay again for the price. Very average. Clean and nice staff though. Located near the mall right off the highway.

It did have a good price but there were a few things that bugged me. There was no humidity control, the room had a musty/mildew scent from this. The room cleaners did not come through until late in the day. We had been fishing all morning had lunch and gotten back to the room for a nap and the room still had not been touched after 2:30pm. These things aside it was pretty good, the breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. the pool was a nice basic pool and the hotel had security outside all night (big bonus for me) i would probably spend the extra money to be in a bit nicer place but i can be pretty picky.

Serioiusly can't believe this is a Marriott- the entry doors remind me of trying to get into a roadstop hotel in a high crime area. You'd never know this is a Marriott. I wouldn't stay here again unless this was the last hotel option within 20 miles. Looks like dried blood on the corner of the bathroom interior. Just bottom shelf all the way. Look elsewhere. Trust me.

Good experience. Overall well pleased with our stay.

This hotel was clean, had friendly staff, and overall, we enjoyed staying here. The pool was clean and welcoming for the kids after the long trip in the car. The breakfast had Jimmy Dean sandwiches to heat up, waffles to cook, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee and a variety of juices. For the money, it was fine but not over the top.

The room was clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly from beginning to end. We lost track of time one morning and did not get to breakfast on time. The staff were kind enough to bring out a few breakfast items for us to eat. We did not expect them to do that.
