Holiday Inn Express & Suites Irving Dfw Airport North - إيرفينج

The bottom line is this hotel is dated and needs work. I was first assigned to a room on the bottom floor. A musty, mildewy smell was very strong when I entered the room. I asked for another room and the front desk clerk was helpful and accommodated me without any trouble. The second room smelled the same. The AC unit was also very loud and the pillows very lumpy. I stayed during a time when hotels were booked and finding a reasonably priced room nearby was difficult to find. If I could have found another option I would have changed hotels. I didn't have the breakfast, but it did look like there were quite a few choices and the common areas of the hotel were fine.

Great price, clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Everyone at the hotel was great. It's more than a 3 star hotel. Very clean, spacious, location was ideal and close to DFW.

This particular Holiday Inn Express didn't look as up-to-date as others I have stayed at, but it was comfortable and did the job well for a 1-night stay. Positives: good breakfast (including omelettes and sausage as well as the usual bread-based fare), large room, mini fridge and microwave in room, sizeable bathroom, free shuttle to airport. Negatives: Very small shower with a very short showerhead (I am 5' 4" and it was only a few inches away from my head), maid service knocked on our door twice before 10 am, pillows were a little lumpy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We were here for two days, had no problem finding the hotel, just don't use your gps.

The rooms are amazing - large and clean. The hotel overall modern. The breakfast area substantial and the selection very good. So why only a 3 star rating. It's the other things that mattered to us. We were simply laying over to catch a flight in the morning so the location was great. But here's where the service broke down. When you arrive at the airport we called the hotel for the shuttle. We were told it would be a 10 to 30 minute wait. It's only 3.5 miles away. We later realized that there are 5 terminals to service. When we called back after 30 minutes we were told by the front desk that there was some construction. When we called back a little later we were told by the same guy that the shuttle had broken down and would be there shortly. After waiting a little while longer we decided to take a cab. The front desk apologized for our delay and offered us a snack and a drink. No they didn't offer to pay for the cab. When we asked again about the delay we were told the construction story by the same guy. We requested a wake up call. No wake up call came so it's a good thing there was a radio in the room. On the return shuttle trip which you must be sure to book as there is limited space, the shuttle did not appear to be the hotel shuttle but thankfully was on time. Overall, if we were driving and there does seem to be adequate parking we would definitely return to this hotel. As for a lay over which required a shuttle and a wake up call not so much.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was in good shape and the complimentary wifi worked well. A bit disappointed there was no restaurant or bar neither in the hotel or within walking distance. If you don't have a car you can order food for delivery, but the options are pretty much limited to pizza and Chinese food...and takes about an hour to get delivered. Breakfast was served 7-10, but they start packing away the food well before then. First day I missed by 10min and was stuck with a few dry leftover slices of bread. Third day I was there by 9:30 and they were already slowly removing the food options. At the rate I paid for the room, I would have expected a slightly higher standard, but otherwise it's an average hotel with a clean room and a decent bed.

Stayed there on the way over and way back to the Caribbean to visit my son who lives and works there as a pilot. I recommend the holiday inn as a place to stay and would stay there again.

Pros: The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly. The breakfast was typical for a Holiday Inn Express, and that's a compliment - I chose HIE partly because of the included breakfasts. Cons: The room was comfortable, but the HVAC would not allow selection of the AUTO mode - so, the heating/cooling was either on or off. And when it was on, it was noisy; the TV volume had to be much louder, and it was distracting while trying to work at the desk. The stairs do not allow going to and from the room floors, which required the user of the single elevator. Coming down the stairs exited directly outside; not the lobby.

Very nice hotel! Transportation to the airport was very helpful.

Everything was excellent - from check-in, to breakfast, cleanliness, friendliness of the front desk and check-out. The room was beautiful and reminded me of Holiday Inn's quest for excellence. We stayed in a King Suite and loved the separate shower and tub. The breakfast was by far the best we've had (as a free hotel breakfast), and the attendees in the dining room were fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not hear a jet flying over! All in all, a great experience and we will definitely stay there again!

This hotel was wonderful. Front desk was very helpful. Loved having the shuttle able to take us to DFW in the morning. Room was large, and very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and even enjoyed by my picky eater kids. Pool area was beautiful to see, too bad it was cold out or my family would have enjoyed it very much.

We selected this hotel because it was close to DFW. We dropped our rental car off, and relied on the shuttle to the hotel that evening, and back to the airport the following morning. This hotel shares an airport shuttle with several other hotels, and doesn't run very frequently. When we called the hotel for pick-up they could not provide an approximate time, and we waited for over 40 minutes. This was quite annoying, but once we arrived at the hotel, they were very polite and check-in was quick. We had to sign up for the morning shuttle, which got us to the airport in plenty of time. We had a very spacious room, in the far corner of the hotel. They tried to cram a shower and tub into the bathroom, and so the shower ended up a bit cramped in and opened directly to the toilet. The room was pretty quiet, for practically being at the end of a runway. The A/C ran ALL night, and didn't seem to remove any humidity. The breakfast provided lots of options. It's in an area that is basically just hotels.

Quick check in, clean room, comfy bed. Breakfast was good. We asked the front desk how we get the shuttle on the way back and then they asked if we are leaving our car and then proceeded to tell us that it would be a flat fee of 29.99 to leave your car at their hotel while on a trip. This is not mentioned when booking at all. Of course people are staying here to park/fly- it's right next to the airport. At least let people know of the charge. Also, when we got back to the airport we had to call the hotel for the shuttle. It took 40 minutes for us to get the shuttle after we got our luggage (we were told to call back after we got our luggage). The hotel uses a company that transports guests. The problem is that 7-8 other hotels use the same shuttle service and the first van that came by our gate was full...

Very quiet stay for us. Highway construction in the area to the west was a nightmare for getting around but found back roads easy to navigate. Our suite was very spacious. We'd definitely stay there again.

Room was very odd. Shower was made for very short people & I had to bend to get the water onto my hair. toilet seat was meant for tall people because my legs barely touched the floor. I am of average height.

We were really surprised at the quality of the room and amenities. The breakfast was good - especially for the price - FREE! The cinnamon rolls were to die for... literally my wife almost killed me for taking so many! This was a great stay. We'll come again.

This hotel provided a lot of value for the price, which was lower than neighboring hotels--presumably because it's older. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The pool, though relatively small, was clean and in an attractive courtyard area. Breakfast, though ample, was sub-par compared to other 21/2- and 3-star hotels, however. The options were mostly heavy and unhealthy (biscuits, gravy, eggs, meats) with no fresh fruit available.Juices were watery; cold and hot cereals were low-end no-name versions that held little flavor or resemblance to their branded counterparts (my 7-yr-old Cheerios-fanatic wouldn't eat more than one bite of the oatey-o offering here and the others were no better). Using the remote to navigate the cable channels on the tv was also very frustrating. The hotel itself was a good value, but go elsewhere for breakfast and entertainment.

Hotel is in great shape, the overall building is very clean and nicely kept. Room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable, floors clean, bathroom great with seperate shower. Hotel staff attentive. Will become my Dallas area place to stay. Very modestly priced for all you get..Great hot breakfast as well. Close to Gravevine mill and Six flags.

I almost always stay at the Holiday Inn. This place was great, beautiful room, huge. But the ac unit was horribly noisy! Lots of mosquitoes around the pool :( But it was so close to DFW airport - would stay there again!

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT trying to get to the hotel. It was right by the DFW Airport, I had a GPS, and STILL couldn't get to the hotel without a lot of difficulty. I don't know if it was due to all the road construction in that area or what, but it was extremely difficult trying to get to and from the hotel. Kept winding up AT the DFW Airport, and as you probable already know, if you are not in the far left lanes, it's almost impossible to turn around. Other than that extreme stress, the stay and room were wonderful. The continental breakfast hours could however be extended to a little bit longer hours.

Little pricy and rooms get hard to find is a very large hotel

Had a demand to post credit card for "possible" additional charges and was told they included phone calls (doesn't every one have cell phones these days) and "theft" . Complied to not lose room. three days later fing a $25 "hold" still oncard after check out (which showed no additional charges)

Waited 35 minutes for a shuttle. Got attitude at the front desk. Freeway and door slamming noise all night long. Awful.

Very nice facility. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff and appreciated the convenient location. Definitely will stay at this hotel when traveling from DFW airport.

This place was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and great setup. The breakfast was always hot and fresh. The staff were very helpful and acommodating. The location is close to the airport and you can also easily get to downtown.

The customer service was HORRIBLE and the hotel was outdated. We have stayed at some nice Holiday Inn Express locations. This one was disappointing.

I was very pleased with the hotel. We went a night to attend Holiday in The Park at Six Flags and the location was not far from there. I would definately book again in the near future! Breakfast buffet was a plus and was free and there was plenty to choose from!

Overall experience was great loved the room size and the whole atmosphere

This hotel was older but really nice. Very nice room and very clean. Good rates and great convenient location, especially if you had to fly in or out of Dallas. Front desk staff was courteous as well. Would recommend to a friend, and would definitely stay there again.
