Great staff, perfect location, if you want to be in the middle of everything...just take the direct bus...I think it was #95 from the airport and a little over a block walk. I can only think of wonderful things to say. I will stay again. Linda, December 2011

Bathroom very small ,carpet very old and dirty.Great location

This is a great hotel that has an excellent location in Athens. It can be a bit noisy because it is on one of the main shopping streets. Many tourists frequent this area. The hotel is really clean, but the carpeted floor is outdated. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet is excellent. They even have a choice for full fat or low fat yogurt! The rooms are an average size considering it is downtown Athens. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others and I would stay here again!

I stay at this hotel every year on my brief stay in Athens. Considering that it is VERY centrally located (1 block from Syntagma Square and walking distance to Zappeion, Plaka and the Acropolis) on a major pedestrian shopping street (Ermou), it's really hard to beat the price. The staff are courteous and the hotel is clean and reasonably well maintained. It is only 1 block from a major Metro station as well, so those needing to get to the airport can save themselves both hassle AND a decent chunk of change (5 euros as opposed to 35) over taking a taxi. Minor cons: the linens aren't particularly nice or comfortable, and the carpet in my room looked like it was long overdue for replacement. Also, I've found over the course of many stays that none of the rooms (in my own experience anyway) have any kind of view. Usually just some concrete wall. Some may find the rooms on the small side - if you're accustomed to American-sized hotel rooms. But they're really no smaller than many or most European hotels in that price range. I've paid twice as much for smaller rooms in Milan. That being said, the cons are more than compensated for by the pros: location, price, convenience, courteous staff. The rooms are also shockingly quiet given how the hotel is on the middle of everything.

Very efficient hotel with an excellent breakfast and free wifi in the public areas. The room was comfortable enough for my teenage daughter to spend all day inside sleeping, reading and avoiding the 100 degree heat outside. She was relaxing after a trip where we passed through Athens on our way to the islands before returning to spend three nights in Athens. The concierge at the Electra Hotel had graciously checked our one large suitcase, leaving us free to island-hop with our smaller bags. Our ferry was delayed and we arrived back in Athens at 2:00 in the morning; I needed my bag that night for an early-morning business meeting and it was quickly located.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is excellent - short walk to Plaka area, and plenty of eating areas to choose from. Staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms were a little small, but well appointed. Bathroom was excellent. Being on Ermou Street can be noisy at night - lots of sirens etc but overall I would recommend. Free internet also is a bonus.

Though only there one night I found the hotel wonderful. The staff was most helpful and the hotel very clean, nice and professional. Nearby what I enjoyed seeing. The single room was fine for one traveler and was pleased to have stayed there. Would stay again.

We have stayed in quite a number of hotels in the course of our annual visits there from Cyprus. First time at Electra. Would recommend it.

I stayed for three nights. It is "no frills" compared to US travel, but the room was clean, there was good water pressure, a powerful hair dryer, and a breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Also free wifi but only from the lobby. Rooms are small, so it is good as a home base but would not plan to hang out and read a book. There was a loud buzzing sound in my room when I checked in, and the front desk had someone fix it within 10 minutes.

excellent location for Plaka, the old city and for visiting Acropolis etc within five minutes walking and on Ermou the pedestrianised,main shopping street; metres away from Syntagma Square which is the centre of the city. Very close to Metro station, restaurants and cafes.

The location of this hotel on Ermou Street ( the shoe street) is absolutely perfect. It's right next to Syntagma Square, with the train station, tram station, taxi ranks and airport express bus all within 100 metres which makes it very easy for travellers with luggage. Also, the Plaka and Monastiraki districts are right next door, and you are able to wander around, go shopping or eat at many different places and then return to you hotel as often as you want during the day. We stayed for 5 days and found the people in reception very pleasant and helped us when we asked for information and made numerous phone calls for us including reservations at restaurants, hairdressers and the intercity train terminal. The breakfast was excellent, with a real fresh orange juice machine, and everything you would expect to eat. Our room was a twin bed. It was very clean, including the bathroom, and also was a decent size, there was room for a small table and two chairs. The bathroom was a bit small as it had the shower inside the bath tub, which could be a problem for elderly people climbing in and out, but otherwise it had plenty of counter space next to the basin which is important when there are two women with their cosmetics. The only negative comment would be the hardness of the bed, but after staying in many other places in Greece, we found that this seems to be a common trait. We would definitely stay there again as price, convenience, amenities and location were all just right.

We were very surprised by the quality of this hotel. We were right on the main shopping street and had easy access to the Metro and the bus to the airport as well as the major sites in town. We had asked for a room with two beds, but they didn't have it the first night so they put us in a suite, which was very nice. The breakfast was good and ample. We would definitely go back!

location of the hotel is 100% perfect ( syntagma square) exactly downtown, walking distance to the parthenon, one block from metro station and walking distance to every atraction in athens. Is located in Ermou street, the main street of down town Athens. Breakfast outstanding. first time I can have fresh squezzed orange juice in a hotel.

An ecellent Hotel in a perfect location in the center of Athens and easy walking distance to Plaka

We needed a one n;ight stay following our cruise. The Electra was so central for our needs. After a bus tour of the city from the cruise ship, we were dropped off just 200 meters from the hotel and were able to walk with the 4 suitcases to the hotel. The staff was very helopful. Our room was spotlessly clean if a little small but great value for the money. We were able to walk out of our hotel and see the sights. We ate in the Plaka and walkd safely in the pedestrian streets. WE cold see the changing of the gusrd at the parliament building out of our balcony window. We had an early mnofnign flight so we got a taxi to hte airpoirt for 35 euros. plus tip.

I really didn't know what to expect, but this hotel is situated in the center square of Athens and a quick walk to everything. We even took the bus from the Airport to the square and it dropped us off 2 blocks away, right there you save a lot of money! I would definitely stay in this hotel and recommend it to anyone who goes to Athens.

I've heard that most rooms at the Electra are spacious, but some are small. We selected a "standard" size room with one bed, and were put in room 812, and it was apparently one of the small ones. But the worst was the bathroom - it was so small that you could barely close the bathroom door once you were inside the bathroom (and we're very thin people!). Other than that, we have no complaints. The room was very clean and well-kept, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the location can't be beat! So maybe get a larger room, but it's a nice place to stay.

The location is prime but the hotel is not really good. Bed is very uncomfortable and you can hear guests in the room next door. Wouldn't stay again at this hotel but definitely would look for a place in the same area.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Greeted us right away, and although I speak a little Greek, they were more then comfortable speaking English. The room was a good size, clean and well taken care of. Closet area had plenty of room for both drawers and hanging items. Room had a refrigerator fully stocked, electronic safe and a flat screen which had HD channels. The hotel's location offers easy access to Plaka, Monastiraki, Syntagma Square, The Acropolis and other Athens must see hot spots. It also sits at the top of Ermou St. which is an outdoor mall/shopping area. My only complaint is tht the rooms are noisy. You can hear the room next to you but it wasn't too bad.

Great location at a great price. Bathroom is extremely small, but new. Quiet day and night.

I went to Athens for a conference so I consider myself as a business traveller. Location was my first consideration. The hotel is situated just off Syntagma sq so the location is brilliant. However, you can get a much cheaper hotel if you're willing to walk for 5 minutes more. My biggest disappointment was the Internet access. The speed was so slow you couldn't do anything other than checking emails. Even doing that was a pain. Note that Electra Hotel isn't Electra Palace Hotel. I made the mistake thinking there were swimming pool and other facilities. There weren't!

Great location for the tourists, close to many attractions.

Very convenient location for visiting the main tourist sites, and for shopping. Hotel itself was not that impressive- room was not totally clean and smelt of smoke. No view at all from our window

great location, close to bus lines and the underground and major attractions in the city, very modern and up to date interior, staff were very helpful. They were happy to bring us ice every evening after a long hot day of exploring. The morning breakfast was extremely good for European standards. I highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would return here.

Great location, friendly and responsive staff,clean and comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast, we will go back to it soon.

シンタグマ広場から近く、かなり便利です。 空港から市街までバスで行きましたが、終点で降りればよいです。 また、帰りは空港まで地下鉄を利用しましたが、シンタグマ駅から３号線で直通です。 エルムー通りという目抜き通りに面しているのですが、日曜だったせいか開いている店が少なかったのが残念でした（静かでよかったとも言えますが）。 シンタグマ広場から発着している市内観光の２階建てバスが夕方からは半額になるので、どこで降りるわけでもなく、アテネの街を１周して楽しみました。 夕焼けとアクロポリスの共演が見事でした。

Topp hotell på alle måter, men føst og fremst lokalitet. God forbindelse til ferje og fly og Acropolis. Tempererte rom, god frokost, god service og god pris. Alle snakker om de små baderommene, men hva betyr det??? Ingen ting for oss i alle fall.

Bra hotell og fin frokost som var inkludert. Fleksibel, men ikke spesielt trivelig betjening. Veldig små rom, men kvaliteten var bra. Ikke noe manglet. God beliggenhet ved Syntagma-plassen, sentralt både i fohold til kommunikasjon og sightseeing - og shopping for den som måtte være interessert i det.

Very friendly and helpful Staff. Located rigth in the heart of Athens Do not buy the WIFI-connection to your room, it is very slow. Use the free WIFI in the lobby instead

Bel hôtel situé dans un quartier agréable. Les chambres sont propres et très confortables. Le personnel est très sympatique à l'arrivée, beaucoup moins lors du départ. En effet, le climat s'est très rapidement refroidi lorsque j'ai demandé des explications pour 10 mn d'appel téléphonique en France facturé 45 euros!! De plus, comme je devais partir tôt (avant 7H) je n'ai pas pu prendre le petit déjeuner qui m'a tout de même été facturé! L'hôtel est agréable mais je n'aime pas être pris pour un pigeon et je n'y retournerai pas.

立地が大変よく、地下鉄、トラムなどどれも使いやすかった。アクロポリスまで行く観光カートみたいなものの乗り場もあった。部屋は清潔でバスタブ、冷蔵庫、金庫、など必要なものはすべてあったと思います。、若干狭い（トリプルだったので）ですが、観光、ビジネスに使うなら十分だと思います。 レストランがディナー、ランチともに同じメニューでしたがおいしかったです。ギリシャに7泊した中で一番だった。

Läget är helt perfekt,jätte nära allt som man kan tänka sig att se.En annan orsak till att jag valde detta hotell va att det ligger nära bussen som går till flygplasen, det va bara ca:2-3 min gångväg.Fick även äran att tillbringa min tid på hotellet med mina Norska vänner...Tack
