Great experience. They upgraded us to a great suite on the water. Service was great and the staff really helped out.

The hotel was in a great location. Great private shuttle service to cruise dock. The furniture in the dinning room looked like a cat or dog clawed it to pieces. The bedroom had clean linens and the carpet floors were swept BUT it was dirty. Walls , windows, bathroom floor etc. looked liked they had not been washed down for months!! Hand marks everywhere on walls. Didnt want to touch anything.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen size beds. The living room and bedroom had flat screen tv's. The kitchen was complete with granite counter tops, dishwasher, stove cooktop and microwave. Overall this was a "5".

Love this hotel This is my third visit back. Location is excellent. A bit noisy this time on the front but a wonderful view down the waterway and pleasant balcony for afternoon drinks.

We had a flood through the bathroom ceiling in the middle of the night and had to be moved. Despite the inconvenience the staff was very helpful and did what they could to make the rest of our stay enjoyable. Great location for water taxi (20$ for an all day pass, but really fun and great to get around) drug and grocery store very close and many restaurants/bars within walking distance. The rooms view wasnt great and it was loud due to the highway and thin walls... but overall it was a nice stay.

Everything was nice, the hotel, the area the accommodations. The only bad experience was the Front desk and Lobby employees. Most seemed a bit to good to bother with the guests. But a few we're nice. Not sure I would stay here again. Too many other nice places to stay where you would probably be treated with more respect. And the Starbucks is NOT really Strabucks. Please walk across the street if you want a good coffee, latte, or iced tea...

After taking and inordinate amount of time to get checked in (the front desk clerk was on her cell phone)I finally made it to my room. I noticed the chairs had worn spots on them where the padding was sticking through and that someone had tried to clean the back of the door and it was smeared and still had residue of some type on it.The next morning when i turned the shower on and made sure the shower head was pointing the right direction I was surprised to find that the shower inspite of my best efforts flooded the bathroom floor. Fortunately they had plenty of towels but what a pain to have to use 3 bath towels just to be able to continue to use the bathroom area to get ready in the morning. One of the benefits of the suite type of room is the kitchen area. My room had the normal coffee in packets but was missing a coffee pot. I called down to get one but it never showed up.the final insult was the fact that it took over 30 minutes to get a cab. The bellman was on his cell on a personal call and although he said he would call a cab the cab driver showed where the call had just come in to him. good location but a terrible staff at this hotel

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. The suite was fabulous and nearby the beach, as well as several great restaurants. Water taxi service to view the Fort Lauderdale canals is available on the premises. Shuttle service to the cruise terminal is available for a fee.

My extended Family of 7 (6 to 66) spent 3 nights at the Gallery ONE in Feb using it as a base to explore the area. The Hotel is perfectly placed on Sunrise Boulevard – a main route from the Turnpike, stop Nº 9 on the wonderful water-taxi, and two blocks from the beach. The room with two queen beds in separate bedroom area was spacious and spotlessly clean with well appointed shower room and kitchen dining area. The staff were very friendly, very helpful and very courteous with excellent local knowledge. We enjoyed eating at the Mexican Cantina and Franco and Vinnie’s Italian restaurants just over the drawbridge outside, which were recommended by the staff. Also a great tip by the Parking Valet chap to park in the 7th street parking garage in SoBe Miami which cost us $7 all day, some of the parking was $20+/hr. Only gripes were $24 + tax per day for compulsory valet parking which we were not warned about before booking and the antiquated $9.99/day internet access. The buffet breakfast at $19 + tax is very nice but it is the going rate. As other reviewers have written you take it or you leave it and venture into the large mall 200m away. We stayed on the road side of the hotel fairly low down and didn’t hear a peep from the fairly busy road!

Overworked service staff, no towels by pool when arrived, rude staff for breakfast, problem with vale hailing a cab for concert-late, furnishings in room-cigarette burns, furniture worn, had to contact house keeping for towels in the 2 bedroom suite. No signs for ice on the 4th floor, bar closed and then when serviced-no training with the particular staff due to a party outside. Lunch food was good and breakfast buffet. Will never return. Have been to this location before and very surprised!

it was a great surprise. location was excellent: short walk to the beach, good restaurants, supermarket, mall and even a toys r us close. clean and good quality of service. on the flip side there were some thing s in the room that were not well maintained such as the fabric of one chair.

Enjoyed the Hotel. Located 5 minutes walking to the Beach. Great resturants, and Gallery One Mall next door.The City bus was close by,You can get a $ 5.00 all-day bus pass, and get around the city easy.So if you don't drive,it simple to get around. Over all as I wrote great Hotel.

Unfortunately valet could not find my key and forced my fiance to be,late for work.

Beautiful spacious suite,extremely nice and helpful staff, great.location nicely updated and modern. Only down side is no self parking. You have to park valet and they charge per day.

The staff at this hotel provided excellent service! I would highly recommend staying at this location.

Front desk staff makes the hotel tops for us. However, the hotel could us a facelift.

Had a great stay! The customer service from every department exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The view from our balcony was amazing. It was so relaxing to sit out there and watch the yachts sail by. Will definitely visit often.

We have been staying at this hotel each year at the same time. It is getting tired and needs some new furniture,and refurbishing. The location is great for us and the staff is very pleasant.

Outgoing anf friendly staff. Best views and location !

This is our 4th stay at the Gallery One, and the best. We found the staff extremely friendly. We were greeted by every staff member no matter where we ran into them. We had a great room overlooking the waterway. The rooms close to the drawbridge are noisier because of the traffic (although we don't mind - just a heads up for anyone looking for a quieter room. The hotel is so close to the Galleria Mall and the beach.

Stay was excellent & we will book the hotel again when we are in Fort Lauderdale...

We will stay here before all of our cruises.

This is our second time staying at the Gallery. The first time was last yr. We really like the Double Tree. They are awesome to us and the prices are not hidden on what we are to pay. With exception to the parking. But on this visit... we knew. We will stay here again.. if we are in the area..

This hotel is amazing. Great guest service and only 4 minutes from all the fun

Fabulous!!!

I chose the hotel because of the affordable price, but when I got there I was surprised with no parking choice but the expensive $25/day valet parking.

The hotel was a nice place to relax after a long day of fun-filled activities

The Cleanliness of the room was moderate. The shower wasnt as clean as I would have liked. Towel and wash clothes was limited. My husband had to request more soap. On the up side the woman at the front desk was friendly and sweet willing to accomodate.

I was there attending a medical conference- rooms was extremely spacious at excellent rate- clean surroundins next to galleria mall-Not happy about valet parking and the fees that they charged for this- there was no self parking available!

I usually see a lot of consistency in Double Tree properties. This one may be the exception. From the moment you drive up to the mandatory valet parking stand under the filthy glass entrance canopy, you see deferred maintenance. Elevator announcement lights that don't light up, hallway carpeting that desperately needs re-stretching, tile around the pool that needs re-setting, pool bathroom door that will not shut/lock, rusting window frames looking in to the restaurant....the list goes on. However, I have to say the rooms were generally clean (except it is obvious they don't vacuum daily), and it looked like fresh paint on the walls. The other issue is that this hotel wants desperately to have a "beach club" feel. However the outdoor tiki bar is open only on set days (we figured this out although nowhere is it posted), and never all day. And on the tikii bar off-days, you have to guess whether there is outdoor restaurant service (we finally asked one day and they agreed to serve outside. Maybe it was because we were there in "off season" (August)??

These rooms are so unique. The two room setup with the kitchen makes it so comfortable.

Gallery One appeared to be a nice hotel from the outside and is located on the intercostal waters. It was also located across from a CVS but too far from the main part of Fort Lauderdale beach to walk - had to drive and pay for parking at Las Olas. Also, valet cost extra for each night that we stayed which would have been nice to know prior to booking - especially since it seemed like they wanted a tip every time we got our vehicle. The chairs in the room we stayed in looked like they came from a yard sale, they were cracked faux leather / vinyl and should not be used anymore. They also dropped of a news paper each day (and charged us for it) - which they do not tell you about either. There was an event going on at the hotel which caused delays in getting the vehicle from valet - which by the way we also saw the valet peel out in peoples cars a few times.
