It was great. From the valet, check-in, accommodations, breakfast buffet. Everyone was nice and pleasant. Close to everything, beach, mall, supermarkets etc. do not need a car. Water taxi right out back. Great shopping, beautiful views of beach and intercostal, mega yachts, boats, people. Had a high floor, bring binoculars. Also had a city view, balcony, no noise. Great apt/condo. This will be the place to stay on any future trips.

We were given a very spacious suite with a great river an ocean view. Hotel was lovely ,front of house staff were very friendly ,particulary Christopher.Back patio area with outdoor pool right on the river looked a great place to spend an afternoon,unfortunatly it was a overnight pre cruise stay.Only complaint was the room attendant knocking before 11am checkout and asking for a tip!It didnt put us off we would stay again.

Service was excellent from from desk to bell boy.

We had a very enjoyable stay and combined business with leisure. The hotel offered everything we required.

No problems at all, nice room, had two large LCD TVs and a full kitchen. Water taxi on property and food within walking distance. Only minor complaint is that you must Valet and its $25 a day. but they were fast.

Large beautiful king size bedroom w/living room and small kitchen. Great location, waterfront view, w/water taxis right outside the resort to travel through the canals for shopping and restaurants. Excellent service from all employees. Would recommend highly and plan to return myself next time I'm in town.

Lovely apartment hotel, exceptional value for money. Very big bedroom and ensuite attached to a living/dinning room and small kitchen. Good location, five minute walk to the beach, two minute walk to the Galleria Shopping Mall directly on a water taxi pick up point. Thoroughly recommended

The location is great but the hotel misses on many counts. We had two lights go out in our room when we arrived and when we left three days later they still had not been replaced. There was no bar open during the day, not even by the pool. The carpets in the hallways were in desperate need to cleaning. Not a terrible place to stay I just wished they tried harder!

5 minutes to beach, Galleria mall next door with great restaurants and bars in a Really nice community.

Check in was easy and quick...they even give you warm cookies when you arrive!! The location was very nice and convenient. However...they do charge for wifi in the room. We connected two devices and we were charged twice. So they actually charge per device, per room, per night....it's a little excessive. But otherwise....it was a great stay and we would go again.

Overall, we were basically satisfied with the Double Tree. If you didn't look too closely, the hotel was rather nice, but when we arrived late at night and the air conditioning in our (expensive!) room was not working, that was a huge disappointment. Also, the tile floors in our bathroom/kitchen area were greasy, and the suite was not nearly as spacious as it should have been, for the price. I was surprising my boyfriend with what I thought would be the nicest place we had ever stayed, but it let me down. We didn't have a bathtub, either, which felt strange for such a "luxurious" room. However, when our AC didn't work, someone came to fix it immediately, which we appreciated. The pool was lovely, and the buffet breakfast looked delicious (although overpriced).

Great hotel. On the water taxi route. Beautiful rooms with kitchens and separate bedroom.

The location was perfect for shopinistas! Service was friendly and prompt. the only negative- carpets need cleaning.

I accidently dropped my warm Doubletree chocolate chip cookie on the floor of the sitting room just after we arrived, and I picked it up covered in dust and hairs. Seems like the floor hadn't been vacuumed for quite a while. We also had the delight of someone else's pubic hairs stuck to the wall of our shower. The cleaning staff all were chatting in a little huddle every time we walked past. Less chat and more cleaning would help. We walked into the breakfast room and walked out again. Every table except one was covered in dirty plates. (Both waitresses were in the kitchen also having a chat). We wanted a Continental breakfast and all that was offered was a very tired looking croissant and some boxes of cereal. The cafe over the road form the hotel (Euro Bread and Cafe) is a much much better bet if you're staying there, and half the cost. On the plus side, the hotel is very close to Galleria shopping mall, right next to the riverbus stop and has a pretty pool.

Great hotel, very nice rooms, loved the location but the staff was really impressive! From the front desk to the bar staff to the room staff....just wonderful.

My only reservation was that sometimes kids would take all the computers in the business center which was a problem when trying to print a boarding pass. But people were nice enough that they would share the computers if you asked really nicely.

Great views, large rooms, apartment living, clean, and modern - what's not to love.

This hotel was a little pricey but we were very sad to leave.

My husband and I stayed at Gallery One for 5 nights over Christmas. We had a lovely suite overlooking the waterway where we could sit on our balcony and watch the different boats pass by. The suite had a big bedroom with plasma tv., also a big sitting room also with plasma tv, and a kitchenette with hotplates, microwave and dishwasher. There is a laundry room on floor 3 with washer dryers. It is only a five minute walk to the beach and sea-front. Also within a couple of minutes walk is the Galleria Mal with lots of terrific shops. We ate in good quality restaurants. There is a wonderful public park almost opposite the hotel with walking trails and picnic areas. We loved Fort Lauderdale and we loved Gallery One Doubletree Suites.

We got an upgrade for free. Mall near by, you can walk to it. Know before you go $50 deposit credit card or $150 deposit cash. You get your deposit back if all goes will.

Nice location and very good service. Proximité to the bridge was a bit noisy but the view was great.

This hotel didn't disappoint me or my boyfriend during our vacation. We were treated with the upmost respect, greeted with a smile, and always had staff willing to help and freely available to answer any and all questions. The environment itself was well-kept, the views were gorgeous and the rooms were comfortable. Half of the time, I barely wanted to leave the room because I was so comfortable. Truly a warm welcome. The walk from the hotel to the beach was not bad and the mall was directly across from us. The only thing that didn't sit well with us was the fact that Internet Access in your room would cost $10/day; this only encouraged us not to use or laptops to do anything work related. This could be a blessing or a curse. :-) Valet parking was $24/day- but I would say for the price, the service meet my expectations! Great spot...would definitely visit again and stay specifically at this hotel!

Great for family vacation, the pool has a very nice set up, everything you need nearby, breakfast is complete

Great Hotel..the staff went out of their way to be helpful, Fantastic location! Only drawback is the ridiculous fee for Valet Parking,Seriously, they need to accomadate self parking.Otherwise it was a fabulous relaxing beautiful stay!

Good location for the price. Overall it was a good experience. I was just really turned off by the super dusty fake plant in the bathroom. It was a pretty granite bathroom, but that plant was disgusting!

I liked the room, and i liked the bed, but the room wasn't up to par. there were dust all over the place, and house keeping didn't even care, or maybe didn't even notice it. but how can you miss it. also the towels were a hot comodity as they always shorted you on towels. other than that, i liked the hotel. what ever you do, always get a water front room with a balcony as it is worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It felt like a very expensive room and loby.

I highly recommend the stay at this fabulous hotel. The only problem that I had was that there is no self parking and valet paking is very expensive. The hotel needs to warn guest that there is an additional fee involved with this of $24.00 for overnight parking.

Loved the hotel for our 4 night stay. The room was nice with a view of the waterway. Mini kitchen area and bathroom very nice, new and clean. Staff were lovely and inviting. We would return in a heartbeat.

The suite was perfect for our family of four (two kids, age 2 and 3). Location was very convenient, sandwiched between the beach and the Galleria. The beach was an easy walk and not too crowded. (April 5-15) We were warned about the parking, which is way too expensive. Pool is small and not really geared towards little kids, but nice and clean. We would definitely go back.

Hotel AC was broken and there was no communication from the management at all during our stay. I felt bad for the front office staff as they had to deal with a number of irate clients. They did offer to move us but since we thought it would be fixed (and so did the staff) we stayed. We spoke with the front desk manager before leaving to express our dissatisfaction and she was excellent! This was our 4th stay at the hotel and it is looking tired but apparently is getting some TLC soon. Although this wasn't a great experience we will try the hotel again.

friendly staff, inviting lobby, nice restaurant enjoyed the breakfast buffet. room with 2 queen beds and a couch very spacious with a large bathroom and having a kichenette very convenient . furnishings and room cleanliness very good. Beach 5 minute walk, galleria mall very close as well . nice pool, lounge chairs on a small man made beach along the waterway. water taxi stops right at hotel. you pay one price and can ride it all day, getting on and off at the different stops. highly recommend this hotel. will certainly return on my next visit.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three days this month , March 2011, before we took off on a cruise. The hotel is in a very upscale location-right down the block from the Galleria Mall and all the fine restaurants. It is also two blocks walking distance to the ocean, so it is perfectly situated. It is about a ten minute cab ride from the airport and also from the cruise port. A car is not needed if you stay at this hotel, since you are able to walk to everything, and also the water taxi and trolly stop right in front and in back of the hotel. The rooms in the hotel are suites, so there is a seperate living room, dining room and kitchen area that is apart from the bedroom and bath. There are also two balconies in the suite and the furniture is very tasteful throughout, with a huge flat screen tv mounted on the living room wall. -and the bed and bedding top rate. The hotel restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent. We had our breakfast included in our rate and it was well worth it. Basically anything you could want to eat for breakfast was provided. My husband and I would highly recommend though that you spend the few extra dollars to get the intercoastal view, as the city view, while lovely, is very noisy. This was a great hotel for the price!!!

We stayed here for two nights in March, pre cruise and it was everything we needed. The city view suite was subject too some traffic noise, but nothing too much. It is right next door to Galleria Mall, which was the clincher for us in selecting this hotel ( we managed to spend 7 hours in Galleria on the Friday!). there is also a CVS pharmacy just down the road. The Breakfast buffet was top class! Our only complain was that only 2 out of 3 elevators were functioning and this caused long delays at peak times.

THIS PLACE KNOCKED THEMSELVES OUT TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH ME...AND I WILL ALWAYS STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THEY GET MY BUSINESS. THE STAFF IS INCREDIBLE...CONSIDERING THAT IT SEEMS LIKE.....EVERYONE....WANTS TO STAY THERE. THE ROOMS ARE AMAZING...WAIT TILL YOU SEE, AND JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU REQUEST WATER VIEW NOT CITY VIEW...TOO MUCH NOISE ON THAT SIDE!!! IF YOU DO ..YOU MAY BE SORRY. MAKE SURE YOUR ROOM IS NOT TOO CLOSE TO THE ELEVATORS....NOISE. I COULD LIVE AT THIS PLACE AND BE VERY HAPPY. MY ONLY CHOICE WHEN I AM IN FT. LAUDERDALE. ENJOY!!!!
