Make sure you get a room that is on the OTHER side of building relative to Diversey. Busy and Noisy. Other than that.... all was well.

I usually don't recomend Days Inn but this was a very nice surprise. Staff was super efficient and room was small but very comfy and clean. The only problem was the breakfast, very simple even by complementary breakfast standards and the juices didn't taste right. But obvious that's a very minor complaint. Location is good as well.

Stayed Sat night through Thur night for RSNA meeting at McCormick Place. It was just myself. I got one of the small rooms with one double bed. The hotel is a modernized old Chicago building. The walls are ok with regard to noise. You can hear your neighbors if they are talking loudly. This didn't cause me any trouble since I am used to it from living in an apartment. The water was adequate in the shower. Hot was was always available. However, if a neighbor flushed their toilet, the water would get slightly warmer (not a big deal). I wish the shower head had a bit more power, but that's the norm at most hotels. The TV was a bit older (CRT, not LCD), but still good quality. The WiFi was available. It was slow sometimes, but I was able to stream some TV shows alright. Browsing was ok, but don't expect super fast speed for downloads. The bed was nice and firm. I was able to sleep well. The pillow was a bit harder than what I prefer, but ok. The neighborhood was very nice. I saw plenty of young professionals and minimal shady folks. The nearest subway is Diversey, Brown line. It's about 4-5 blocks away (7 min walk). I used it daily to get to downtown. There's also a bus stop about 50 feet from the entrance, which is great. There's a Chipotle nearby and Walgreens across the street. A Trader Joe's is also a block away. I used the self-parking garage. I left my car there for the 6 days. It was $19/day, which is much cheaper than downtown. It's located attached to a nice shopping mall (I didn't shop there though). The hotel staff is top notch - very friendly and helpful. Also the continental breakfast is the best I've seen in over a decade. They had a large selection including cereal, bagels, donuts, muffins, waffles, juice, coffee, milk. I always had a great breakfast. The room was great, comfy beds, clean. Staff very friendly, nice complimentary continental breakfast, great doormen. The only problem was the street noise. Many vehicles honking horns and general traffic noise. However, by 11pm it got very quiet, just the occasional fire truck horns, which you'll get anywhere. Days Inn Chicago is in a nice residential neighborhood. It's only 4 blocks from the brown line and the bus stop is right across the street. I will stay there again.

Housekeeping came in a made up room but never refilled basket with coffee and tea and other condiments. Besides that stay was great.

Everything, from the courteous desk personnel, the room cleanliness, the convenient location and amenities far exceeded our expectations. Our place to stay next time in Chicago!

stores and small shops within walking distance. Or take the Brown Line and can go anywhere in the city. Great area if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

The elevator was out of service a lot of the time I was there, otherwise very good for the money.

This was a great hotel, had no problems with anything, customer service was great! Plenty of shops and great restaurant everywhere!

Stayed at Days Inn Chicago during a 3 week cross country trip to go to the cubs last home game. Hotel was decent except we had no AC the first night, but luckily it was fixed while we attened the Cubs game. Great location for going to a cubs game and close to downtown Chicago.

We have stayed here several times. Friendly staff and convenient location. Not fancy but just fine for a one nite stay.

Very friendly staff.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet and private given it's busy location. Room size and cleanliness were excellent. Bathroom was well maintained , equipped with period fixtures in tub/tile. The bathroom sink space was a bit cramped with no vanity area per se. Parking is available around the corner from the hotel with valet parking an available option for a few dollars more.

We needed an easy-access location for a no-frills Chicago visit to drop oru dautghter off at college. This property fit the bill. The lobby is attractive, the rooms are comfortable, and the continental breakfast was an added bonus.

I have stayed at days inn before and my recollection is that it was an OK hotel but cheap. I remember thinking I shouldn't spend a lot of money for something with low quality. However, I am glad I took a chance with this hotel because I never knew how good a days inn could be. The location of the hotel was superb. The room was clean and the bed might be the softest mattress I have ever slept on in a hotel. The continental breakfast was surprising. Hotels today just can't wait to get rid of you come checkout, but here I didn't seemed pressured at all. I booked this room for the location, but now I am willing to give days inn another try. Days inn always seemed like a motel to me, but after this stay my perception has changed to thinking of it as a hotel.

We stayed at the Days Inn. Didn't need anything fancy, just clean and reputable. The staff was very helpful with suggestions and directions. The continental breakfast was appreciated for its variety of selections and its convenience. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants, and we could walk to Lincoln Park Zoo and Wrigley Field with ease. It was a short cab ride away from the Shedd Aquarium and Navy Pier. If you are looking for a taste of tourism in Chicago, then this is a great hotel to stay at! Highly recommended and will consider it if we are fortunate enough to visit Chicago again.

We always stay at this hotel when we come in to town for a Cubs game. It's walking distance to Wrigley, easy to get to, plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms are small, but we aren't coming in to town to sit in a hotel room anyways, so it's not an issue.

Great location for a walk to Wrigley Field. There is a wide variety of restaurants nearby. Glad we chose to stay here!

The room was quite small but clean and comfortable, the bathroom was very small, but again clean and well maintained. In general the hotel suited our needs for teh 2 night stay, it was quiet while in a busy area.

5 out of 5 stars because it met my needs perfectly. I wouldn't stay there with my family of 4 for several nights, though. Rooms are VERY small, but perfect for 1-2 people just staying the night. Lots of restaurant choices nearby, and the walk to Wrigley was about 20 minutes. Traffic was plentiful, so you won't get in and out of this location quickly. Use the valet parking, as there's not really any other good options.

Great location and walking distance from many restaurants and Wrigleyville. The train station is a few blocks walk so thats easy to get to as well. The only inconvenience is the unknown 22 dollar per day parking fee they assess to you. The room is also a little cramped so what you are paying for is location here.

This was rated a 2 star hotel, but the Days Inn Lincoln Park certainly exceeded my expectations! Very clean room, staff was friendly and helpful--I'd stay there again!

Only issue I ran in too is at checkout. I used this site to book the reservation and for some reason this confused the clerk at check out and she charged me again for the 2 night stay. THis was corrected as soon as management came out but still a hassle at first. THe location is great for a cubs game stay and the area is nice and the valet is cheap at 22.

Our stay was brief, but pleasant. Older hotel, updated and clean. Ours was a good sized room - huge walk-in closet! Plenty to do in the area - shopping, restaurants, other activities. Will probably stay there again! (near DePaul and Wrigley)

Within walking distance to Wrigley. In an area where you can shop and eat. Very nice Hotel Staff and valet parking. Small but comfortable rooms. Only downside was no fridge...definitely would recommend this hotel.

Very clean and modern...pleasant staff and a nice breakfast buffet. I find it difficult at times to find a reasonably priced CLEAN hotel in Chicago...this one fits the bill on both counts! The location is within walking distance of Wrigley Field and great Clark St. eateries and shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Walking distance to Wrigley. Great neighborhood for shopping and dinning. 20-30 mins. drive to airport. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Fun neighbourhood, very professional staff, clean & modern room. My only gripe would be the road noise from the adjacent thoroughfare, but that's to be expected when the hotel is directly adjacent. I'm entirely satisfied and would stay there again.

I got more than what I pay

The air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off.

We went for a Cubs game and this was a great hotel to stay in, as Wrigley field is only a mile away. It is also convenient for anything in the downtown area, as it is all a short cab ride away. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great.

Hotel staff were awesome, super friendly, helpful, and engaging. cheapest valet parking rates for the Chicago area - out of all the hotels i looked at($22). Good continental breakfast, was available until 11 am even! Great, great, great location. We used the bus to go to a few places and never had a problem. Super easy and quick. Had we gone downtown this trip the Red El was located close by for an easy trip in the city. Good food in the area too: Also, Yummy Yummy Buffet on Broadway ( i think), had *the* most amazing Sweet & sour chicken I've ever had, an great selection of Bubble Teas. We met a friend for Sushi at Great Tea Japanese one day (easy 15 min) and was cheap & very good. Also, starbucks, Panera, and Walgreens were right across the street. If you have the time - head up to Andersonville and checkout the Andersonville Galleria and Kopi Cafe. Only downfall to the hotel: room a bit small. I was ok with this, my wife not. However, it is Chicago, reasonably priced, and an older building. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again!

Very nice hotel with reasonable rates for a Chicago hotel. We walked to Wrigley for the game. Great city experience. Valet parking worked well here.

The Days inn in Chicago Diversey hotel staff was friendly, and happy to go out of their way to make our stay perfect. The only downside was that as we left very early in the morning, there was no hot water in the shower. We could get get hot water in the tub, but not to come up through the shower. If the shower worked a bit better, we could have given it 5 stars.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Expected less because of the age of the hotel, but loved the stay and will probably stay again when in the neighborhood. Walk outside and you are in the middle of an exciting area with restaurants and bars. Plenty of shopping too.

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Chicago on an extremely tight budget so we had pretty low standards for our room. But the hotel was everything we needed and more! Nice lobby, the room was very modern and clean, and VERY helpful and extremely polite workers. The room was small but we were rarely there anyway. The A/C was REALLY loud but it was wonderful how fast is worked. Bathroom was nice and spacious, which I didn't expect. Cute stores and restaurants all around us, adorable area of town! We had to walk 4 blocks to our main buss route and 5 blocks to our main train station, which isn't far at all in my opinion. It was perfect! Our view was horrible but almost humorous because we were looking at a brick wall only 2 feet away. But overall it was great! If you're a first timer to Chicago, the staff is extremely helpful. It was a perfect area and we had a very great experience. I will definitely stay at Days Inn again! One thing I wish we had was a fridge or room service, but my complaints are extremely minor.

The hotel staff were amazing! So polite, friendly, and helpful. But the room was incredibly noisey. We could hear ALL the traffic on the street and even the people talking in the room next door and across the hall. Not very insulated but a nice hotel overall. The ear plugs they provide you with help!

A perfect location for going to a Cubs game. The hotel staff is great. Will be back.
