Sofitel Los Angeles - لوس أنجلوس

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel, initially wanted to try its inhouse restaurant but online reviews weren't too promising. There are quite a few good eateries within walking distance, so my family had a good time checking nearby eateries instead. Concierge was helpful & there's always 1-2 of them around to assist. We were a little disappointed that we were often awakened to sounds outside the room or next door ( likely by an over enthusiastic chambermaid cleaning ), probably it didn't help we like to sleep in on holidays!

Great place staff are extremely good and you are close to some of the best restuarants in LA, the Stone Rose bar is also very nice.

Short but great stay!

From check-in to check-out, most everything was first class. We ate in the restaurant and had a very good meal with fantastic service. The pool area was a bit messy and not big. The room was good and the little Hermes products made it feel more like a luxury hotel. Not within walking distance of much, except for the Mall across the way. Robertson St would be about a 20 mins. walk and there are cafes and restaurants there.

The Sofitel has great service and friendly staff. There are usually 4-5 staff at the entrance -- they rush to open doors, help us in and out of our car, valet parking, etc. The concierge and front desk were very helpful with our many questions. We throughly enjoyed our massages at LeSpa. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit chilly (April in L.A.) so we couldn't really enjoy the heated pool. We only ate 1 breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Simon/L.A.), which was overpriced for the quality of the food.

We really enjoyed our stay and would return again if we go back to LA. The workout facilities were especially good and we found the location quite accessible to restaurants, shopping, etc. Our only complaint was that some of our cable stations on the tv in the room were compromised, and although we reported this on the first of our three days there, it corrected. The staff were apologetic and offered us other services ( a free drink, free breakfast, etc.,) but the stations were never fixed.

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. We arrived early in the morning and were able to check in immediately (which is more luck than anything based on room availability but still added to the experience). The room was a fantastic size and very clean with a big bathroom. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The lobby is very funky and the restaurant and bar within the hotel also very cool. Location was great, across the road from The Beverly Center and walking distance to some nice bars and restaurants on 3rd Street. Would definitely stay there again if returning to LA.

From the minute I walked into the hotel from the time I left the staff was more than helpful and accommodating. Every member personally greeted me and went above and beyond expected service. Will stay here again!

Great rooms; nice layout. Bathrooms and amenities were wonderful. Loved the quirky, unique features like the TV speakers in the bathroom, adjustable lighting throughout the unit, etc!

Location is perfect. A Hop on hop off stop is just across the road. Rodeo drive and The Grove are just a 20 min walk from the hotel. Service is great. We got two bottles of water every day and we got a coffee maker in our room because we stayed for 7 nights. The staff is very nice.

The LA Sofitel is well placed for the wide range of sites and venues of LA. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are of a high standard.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was a pleasant experience. It's definitely not the cheapest hotel around, but it was worth the money. We did have a delay during check in. I checked in a little after 4pm, but I guess my room wasn't cleaned yet. I was able to check in after about 15 minutes of waiting. I have given a $15 coupon for their spa and restaurant for waiting, but didn't use them. The staff were friendly and professional. Valet service ran smoothly. Expect for one time, my car was always waiting for me a few minutes after calling from my room. The valet service does cost $33 a night but I guess all upscale hotels cost around that much. The beds were very comfortable. Much better than the cheap bed I have at home. The room, at least mine, didn't come with a coffee machine. It was a little odd as most hotels I've stayed at always had a coffee machine. A coffee machine was sent up after calling the front desk. We were given complementary waters each day so that was nice as well. Location is great. It's right across the street from the Beverly Center. A few blocks down is 3rd street where you can find a lot of nice places to eat as well.

Love the place and location. I would defiantly recommend it.

Wonderful hotel. Service, room, food-- everything was exceptional. Great location. Absolutely would stay here again and really appreciate the Sofitel brand. Loved our experience. Valet was so quick and professional too. It was a pleasure!

This hotel is okay but definitely not worth the price.

Very profesional staff and an excellent stay overall. Throughly recommend.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, and the bed is super comfy. The bar during the weekend is pretty crowded and fun.

We paid for the deluxe king which was one price above the standard. I can only believe that they just gave us a standard regardless. The room couldnt be any smaller. besides that the room was clean and comfortable.

I always stay in the Sofitel when I am in LA because of the location. It is across the street from the Beverly Center and walking distance to countless restaurants and shopping, including Melrose and West Hollywood. The rooms are luxurious and super clean and the staff goes above and beyond. The fitness center is good and there is no extra charge and the pool area is very nice.

When we arrived at 3:30 pm, room wasn't ready and it didn't get ready until 4:30. While waiting for our room, we ordered hamburger and a cocktail at the lounge. Ordered a cocktail with mango but got one with passionfruit. It took 30 minutes to get the burger. Ordered med rare but what we got was well done. Ask for another one, it took another 15 minutes and this time it was raw not even rare. Returned again. There were no customers besides us whole time and 3 cooks working in the open kitchen. We were looking forward to have nice dinner at the restaurant but decided to eat someplace else. The carpet in the room has too many stains. Also we had to ask for new pillows because they smell bad but new ones never arrived. When the house keeping brought us bottled water, we request her to bring new pillows again. They let us stay extra hour to check out. We had wonderful stay in Sofitel in other cities, but this time was real downer.

Had great service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Real International flavor to the guests that I ran into. Minor issue with bathroom maintenance. The shower head needed to be replaced as did the light over the shower but I never had a chance to call maintenance so I can't complain about responsiveness.

My daughter and I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. The service was excellent. The restaurant and the service was amazing! The Beverly Centre is across the road. Short taxi drive to Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Surrounding shopping limited but that may have been because of our short stay. Would not hesitate to stay again and longer.

First time at a Sofitel, and after this experience, it won't be our last! Very impressed. The hotel's service was very good. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was nicely situated making it easy to get to where we wanted to be. There is a Hertz location two blocks away which is very convenient. Would highly recommend Sofitel Los Angeles.

Excellent hotel. Great service and very friendly. The breakfast was the best value and top class Eating out if you don't want fast food is expensive. Would recommend the Ivy but save up and book in advance The Farmers Market nearby is also worth visit

Was a great place to stay. Had to request things several times before we would receive them. Food was great at restaurant, service could have been better.

We had previously stayed at the JW Marriott another 5 star hotel however after reading a review on trip adviser we decided to try the Sofitel out. The facilities are comparable but one huge difference we found was the attitude of the staff at the Sofitel were brilliant! Everyone we came in contact with from the car valets doormen reception waitstaff and room cleaners were so friendly and obliging that we can't wait to go back in December.The position is also great with the Beverly centre, CVS,restaurants all in walking distance.

We have stayed at many Sofitel hotels & feel that they have good value. Our disappointment with the Los Angeles property was the "music" in the bar. We enjoy having a glass of wine in the evening but found that because of the extremely loud & beating music in the bar, we could not enjoy ourselves. It continued until 1:30 AM each evening & we could hear it in our room. I think that the music was to attract a very young crowd, but I don't believe that all of the guests were of such a young age.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. The room was clean and had a nice view of the Hollywood hills. The members of the staff were always courteous and helpful. The location is close to wonderful restaurants and shopping. The only drawbacks involve the internet. We signed up for the in-room connection and it never worked properly. We then tried downstairs on the public computers and they didn't operate well either.

HORRIBLE BEDS

This hotel was an incredible find for the price. Extremely comfortable bed, super clean room, great shower. The only thing that would have given it all 5's is if the restaurant staff was a bit more together and there was a place for serve yourself coffee. Will definitely stay there again!

LA is an overwhelming city to decide where you want to stay - each pocket has its own benefits. The Sofitel is a great place to stay if you are looking forward to doing some shopping in LA (it is right across the road from the Beverly centre), and only a short distance to The Grove - a beautiful outdoor shopping mall. Another positive of this hotel is that if you prefer to not have a car in LA, you can get away with it here - the proximity of the amenities (including nearby Robertson Blvd) means that you will not have to get in a taxi for every outing. Words of warning for the hotel - not all rooms in this hotel are created equal. My mother and I booked equal rooms and equal rates and she was given a room virtually twice the size of mine, with a nicer view. If you are not happy with the room you are given, I suggest you double-check with the front desk to see if there is another room in the same room-type available for you to have a look at - it might very well be a lot better. Also, be weary of making room requests when booking that are real "deal-breakers" for you if they are not fulfilled. I have visited this hotel three times in the past year and each and every time it has appeared that the room requests are not considered AT ALL. This makes for a disappointing initial impression, especially after traveling all the way from Australia. Aside from these glitches, I do recommend this hotel. It's hard to beat a location that allows you to walk to dinner at a fabulous restaurant in the City of Valet, which is why I will certainly be back.
