Hotel Phillips - كانزاس سيتي

Outstanding hotel in an outstanding downtown area. Service was great, room clean and quiet, onsite restaurant very good. Lots of close shops and eaterys. Convenient.

The hotel was very comfortable. Friendly service at the front desk. Clean rooms. Beds pretty comfortable. It takes awhile to get on one of their three elevators at check-out time, but it's an older hotel, so there's not much they can do about that. Good location, too. The only complaint is their restaurant. Terrible! My wife's salad was very ordinary and almost all just lettuce. I ordered this chikcen penne pasta, which looked absolutely inedible. I sent it back. Noodles looked three days old. This creamy something on top of the underdone chicken looked like vomit. I ordered a reuben, which was good, but it came with cold fries. To their credit, the management didn't charge us for the sandwich, but that's not the point. I went there for a meal, not to send food back. Stay in the hotel. Skip the restaurant.

Room was hot and even had ac running all night and still woke up sweating. If the room is at a discounted price it's a decent place, but would never pay full price. No exhaust fans in bathrooms either, which is a bad thing if you went town on kc bbq the day before.

Really liked this place and got a very fair price for a large room. Got a 2 bed suite and it was large for a hotel room. Beds were really comfy, room was quiet overall. Clean too. This is an old hotel, so the lobby looks beautiful, but smells a little old. The room, however, did not have the old smell which was very good. Lots within walking distance. KC Power and Light is within an easy 5-6 minute walk.

The hotel and staff were great. Only downsides were the additional cost of valet parking (though they were very quick) and not very good sound isolation between our room and the hallway.

We thoroughly enjoyed or stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. When we found out they could not put a roll-away bed in the room we reserved, they upgraded our room at no extra cost. The lobby is beautiful, and we enjoyed the wine and cheese in the afternoon. Breakfast was nice and reasonable, and we enjoyed relaxing in the 12 Baltimore -- lots of Boulevard (Kansas City) taps.

I happened onto this hotel on a 'daily deal' just in time for a girls weekend in KCM. What a treat to get such as great hotel at an incredible price! Everything was absolutly wonderful. Live music in the bar was so fun. The beds were divine. The location was too good to be true. Now I know these accomodations are well worth full price!

We would definitely stay here again. I saw other reviewers complain about this hotel being "dirty" which I did not notice at all. You have to remember that you are not staying at a brand new hotel. It has a lot of old charm but the rooms are still updated. We got a great deal and I would definitely stay at Hotel Phillips again. Plus it was within walking distance of the Power & Light District which has a lot of restaurants and bars and even live music!

Staff was incredible. Rooms a bit small but it's what you would expect in an older building. Location couldn't have been better for a guys trip to hit up P&L District. I would stay again.

Everyone made sure our stay was fantastic. They were so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here!

Stayed in KC for the weekend. The hotel restaurant had live jazz each night that was fantastic. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Close to Power & Light District and other venues. Very pleasant stay.

Very nice location! Enjoyed the historic quality of the hotel yet modern conveniences. Wine and Cheese on the Mezzanine was great!

i was very nice. only issue was ice machines seemed to be out of order on a couple of floors so i had to go to multiple floors to find ice.

This hotel was ok but it is not a hotel to use when you are handicap the wheelchair was hard to get around in room. . When we called hotel we were advised it was close to a lot of things they however did not tell us it was prom weekend or that I could not even get to the restaurant due to stairs. We left a day early and was very disappointing all around we had to drive clear to olathe for a restaurant because the wait time for anything was about two hours. The parking was valet but very difficult no handicap accessibility unless I wanted to get in my wheelchair in passing traffic and take a chance of causing a accident I had to get out in a alley to get to the hotel. So basically we lost 200.00 by leaving a day early but we could not get to dinning couldn't eat any meals at the hotel and if we ordered something we had to go to lobby to get it the delivery person could not come up to the room. So for a romantic getaway don't use this hotel if you are handicap don't use the hotel and be sure to check and make sure what is going on before you go downtown because prom weekend is not the time to go. Also I normally stay at Argosy Hotel it is so much better but it was full. Last but no least the elevators are so slow and not large at all so off course we had to wait for a empty elevator and being in a wheelchair we took up the whole elevator that is how small they are.

Older hotel but well maintained. Location is great, near plenty of attractions.

We were impressed by the quality and taste of the food in the restaurant! Would definitely stay here again!

Overall it was a pretty good stay. Only negatives were the air unit was loud and the bathroom did not have a ventilation system. The guest service was outstanding and very helpful. Fitness center was sufficient. Would have been nice to have a pool. Very nice hotel.

It was a nice stay, great location and somewhat responsive staff. The only drawback was the cleanliness of the room and bathroom and also the lack of a retail shop for small food items or a breakfast buffet option. Was forced to do room service several times and that was lacking. Overall, decent visit.

This hotel has been beautifully restored. Rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. Happy hour with wine and cheese was a nice surprise. Employees are friendly and efficient. Walk to Power and Light Entertainment district and Sprint Center. I will definitely recommend.

The hotel offered wine and cheese from 5pm-6pm. The staff was well trained and gracious.

All aspects were great. Staff was outstanding. Never came in without at least two people offering greetings. Cheerful and helpful. Great location for our conference and to the Power and Light district evening entertainment.

A very affordable hotel right in the heart of downtown Kansas City and about 10 minutes from everything. The staff is professional and courteous. My wife and I really appreciate the nostalgia of an older hotel and Hotel Phillips is exactly that. The fixtures, woodwork, elevators, lobby, all of it! Being in the middle of downtown raises parking concerns, so make sure you plan for the additional costs for parking. There is plenty to see if you decide to take a walk around. There is a park 1/2 a block away that is a great getaway. We will be staying here again. Thank you!

Great deal and a great location!

The accomendations at Hotel Phillips were very pleasant. The staff was helpful and professional. The atmosphere was relaxing. In addition, the location was walking distance to various surrounding attractions. If needed, I would return to this hotel.

Special hotel that stays true to the authentic and original feel of the hotel. Not just a place to lay your head, but a true experience. Great service and staff. Though I was very satisfied and the whole experience was wonderful, I felt the room rate was too high. I would recommend to everyone a stay at this magnificent hotel, but unfortunately most will not be able to experience it because of the rate.
