My only complaint is that they wouldn't allow me to use the credit card I booked with for room expenses. Very inconvenient. Other than that, great stay.

It was nice to have the 2 single beds available. The room was small, but perfect for the amount of tiime we stayed. It was very clean, close to Penn Station, Madison Sq. Garden, the Empire State Building and shopping. The breakfast was great too.

The room was so small I felt claustrophobic. It had too much furniture in it for its size and I had to turn sideways to fit between tables to get to the bathroom.

The hotel is an old building with very small rooms, but we weren't in NYC to stay in the room. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, although water pressure lacking one morning. Use of an A/C type unit to heat or cool the room. Great morning breakfast, staff very helpful. Front desk people polite and helpful. Concierge staff relied on a computer to provide information, something I had already done. Our questions were basic, it was as if they were visitors too!

It was in a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bussle no trouble sleeping or with noise. Room was small but very clean breakfast was basic but it was enough to keep you going and saved a lot of dollars!!! The main lift is extremely slow and the corridors were a bit run down how ever it was being done up during our stay so that is acceptable. In a quiet location about 20 minutes from times square.

We stayed for the big east tournament and it was perfect for us!! Walking distance to everything and close to the subway as well. We will definitely return!!

This hotel is in a great location, was clean, tidy and the complimentary breakfast was great! We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it! Great price too! A hidden gem!

The best thing about this hotel is the location. This is definitely not a business travellers hotel....this is a glorified hostel. My room was clean, but it was freezing cold. I think it was notoriginally meant to be a room, but more a large storage area. The was no heater built into the room, so there was a window unit for both AC and heat. This was not turned on before my arrival, so it was like a meat locker when I checked in. Keeping the heater on made the air very dry. The bed was very old, lumpy, creaky and uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin and there were only sheer curtains on my window, so the sun came in very early. The conceierge only checks your bag for the day if you pay $1... silly. This is best for young people on a budget...redeeming qualities are free wifi and free breakfast as well as great location.

The price was right, and it was very convenient to the places we wanted to go. Subway was very close also. Another plus is that it was on a quiet street. Breakfast was good--even had eggs and sausages. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful On the down side, the room was drafty and got too hot very quickly when heat was turned on. Might have just been our room, but I would check out the situation before getting settled in. Also, the exercise room is tiny and was used for luggage storage, so there is no way to work out in there. We weren't planning to work out since we did so much walking, but don't plan to use the workout room. Still, I could recommend this hotel, and I would consider staying there again in the future.

the room was adequate and very small. It was clean which is important. We had very noisy people next door at 1am. When we turned on the TV in the morning the cable went out. Thank goodness we were only there overnight.

great view stay on the 6th floor ask for room 604

Hotel is on a so-so street, (safe, but ready for redevelopment) but that doesn't matter, as half a block away in either direction, the area is great. The hotel itself is fine, but ready for redevelopment. Rooms are small and hokey, but the bed is very comfortable. I am glad I did not need to use the airco when I stayed in this hotel, because the inroom airco unit is noisy, and that combined with the smallness of the room would have kept me up all night.

The rooms and bathrooms are indeed small but clean, the view from our room unspectacular (other buildings and / or there A/C units on rooftops), and there are areas in need of a face-lift, but they're working on it. I would recommend the hotel because it is clean, reasonably priced and in a good location. Fancy it is not, but having breakfast available for families who all wake up at different times was helpful.

We were going to the Village - just a brief taxi-ride away. Parking was close by wth a discount from hotel. We'll be back

Room was a closet, but clean. No view from the offered rooms - looked out to a dirty courtyard. Hotel wireless was a joke - could not even use the business center if we wanted to pay the EXTRA fee to simply access the internet to print boarding passe, let alone work. Positive was the location - great neighborhood and access to a wonderful area.

The hotel's location was what prompted me to stay there. It was less than a three minute walk from my meeting. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. On the 8th floor, it was even quiet. The breakfast room was being remodelled which it desperately needs.

The room was barely large enough to fit the two double beds and there was hardly any room to move around in the room. With 4 people in the room, it was quite crowded. However, we didn't spend much time in the room and the location of the hotel is great so I would recommend this hotel. We walked to and from Penn Station with our luggage, the subway is only 2 blocks away and it was easy to catch a taxi whenever we wanted.

Front desk staff were very rude. Out of 7 hotels we stayed at around the USA this was the only one that wouldn't let us check-in early and charged us $1 a bag to look after till checked-in. Our flight was cancelled the morning or check-out and they wouldn't even help me with finding another flight....Never again.NY

Hotel was in a great location, 10 mins to the empire state building and 15 mins to time square. Only problem is it us very popular with school parties. They can be very loud at night and don't even try and get breakfast at the same time as there will be no where to sit. Saying that there is alway plenty of food to eat. Great for the price in new york

If you are looking for economical stay (assuming you get a good deal online) then this is an OK stay. Very small and dated rooms - but clean. Beds were comfortable and clean. Good staff and they have a free breakfast which is worth something.... Not a horrible place -I've stayed in worse.

Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. As New York hotel rooms go, it was an average size. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. It has a nice location, especially if you like shopping, and because it is centrally located, has good access to the rest of the island. The value was excellent and we would definitely stay there again.

The lobby is not much to speak of. But the continental breakfast makes up for that! The room was clean and nice. I like to be able to control my temp in the room and they have the window units. Plus it is nice to have the fan noise. They were nice at the front desk.

From the moment we walked into this great location, we were welcomed with fast, polite service by Michael at the front desk. He was more than helpful with questions about the immediate area as well. The rooms were nicely sized, though the view wasn't much. No flat screens or anything that amazed me, but I didn't really walk into this reservation expecting a view of the Empire State Building or watch a 50" flat screen. If anyone legitimately complains about this hotel's service, room size and accommodations, they should have spent the extra thousand a night at the Hotel Plaza Athénée and get their limo driver to drop them off at Donald Trumps. Two thumbs up (multiplied by the 7 other guests as well) for the Comfort Inn Chelsea.

Not that comfortable...I'm not sure what I expected from a low-cost hotel in the city, but given it's a known national chain I thought it would be warmer and a bit cleaner. The room was so very cold, the bathroom tile was too cold to stand on in bare feet! It took a long time for the room to warm up with the small window heater. Overall the room was very small, shabby and not very clean. But, at least there were no bed bugs! and the staff was friendly and helpful and there was a decent continental breakfast included. The location was not too far from Penn Station, but I wouldn't necessarily walk it at night.

I found a sock in the bed and I could not get around with the furniture so snug in the room.

This was a good hotel for the location and people working there. Room was small but we got a suite and it accomodated everything well.

Although quite small, which is normal for older hotels in NYC, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was quick, pleasant and professional, but admittedly I had little cause to interact with them except for check-in and check-out. My only complaints are about the elevators and electrical outlets. There are two elevators in the hotel--both cramped--which are extremely slow. Even though I stayed on the 11th floor I found it faster most times to walk down the stairs. Also there are not enough electrical outlets in the room. I had to unplug the in-room coffee maker just to plug in my laptop computer, and that was on the opposite side of the room from the desk.

It was OK, the service was good in the case of the concierge but the rest of the staff was not very cooperative nor kind. The room was very small with no view, clean though. For a couple of nights and just that is OK.

This hotel was a great find. The room was clean, the bed was huge, breakfast although not fancy allowed us to eat before we hit the tourist circuit and it was close to the subway. For New York it was also surprising quiet at night and as a bonus, we had a view of the Empire State Building. We will definitely stay here again!

Chelsea is a great NYC neighborhood and this is a good location close to subways and a very good selection of local restaurants and diners. The bed was huge, but it overpowered the room. Two people can't move freely. The breakfast was mainly starch and sugar but everything was clean. There's a very nice park nearby and Broadway South of 23rd St. has great shopping. I'd do it again if the price were right. The Landmark Wine shop on 23rd has a good selection of wine and premium sake.

Je n'hésiterais pas à retourner dans cet hôtel car bon confort et bonne situation.

Hotellets läge är toppen, gångavstånd till allt. Även frukosten är mycket bra anser vi. Det som drar ner betyget är det ofräscha badrummet som inte är någon bra standard på och framförallt inte renligheten där... Positivt med gratis wi-fi!
