Valet parking is a must and is very slow at checkout, hotel room electricity outlets had burnt marks on then and wall above it. Very pushy bell boy forcing you to take your luggage and damanding a tip. Overall a good location but very bad service

On Thursday evening (for 5 hours, until after 11pm) a hockey team played in the hallway of our floor. They kicked doors, screamed, shot nerf guns, yelled and threw balls that hit us as we tried to leave our room. We called in two complaints, which were ignored. On Friday evening the same thing happened from 3pm on, we called in another complaint which was also ignored. I got so frustrated that I went down to the concierge and spoke to the security guard myself. The problem was immediately and permanently rectified. Maybe it was harder to ignore a face to face request? Otherwise the staff was wonderful and very helpful. Great location near McGill.

Despite the excellent location and nice rooms, I would not go back. Our room was freezing and I am usually too warm. Due to the location, it was also quite loud so I was unable to sleep, although security did eventually get rid of the lous people.

Hotel room is in need of a reno.

Because we booked our room by Hotel.Com we did not have the right to get the points for our frequent customer program. I had to call the front desk to have the room cleaned.

Good location, clean room. Pillows were a bit small for a king size bed and parking at hotel was expensive but overall I would recommend.

Even though the hotel says it has free wifi ....it is free but it's very iffy.....Would not recommend it to those who want to get some work done on their laptops. As well..... a 6: 00 a.m. wakeup call finally came in at 6:20 a.m....what is with that? Sometimes you had to shout to see if there was anyone behind the desk!

This is a very nice hotel in a fantastic location. For dining and shopping, near Crescent Street, the art and culture area, and St. Denis Street. A good solid value.

Good place to stay in downtown Montreal. Great service, nice rooms, although the bathroom was a bit small. People were awesome.

The hotel itself is very nicely finished. Great lobby, very nice pool and gym area. Sauna, Steamroom, showers all good! The staff was very nice and the locaion was pretty good. The room was clean but out dated and needed some maintence. Iron didnt work, safe didn't work, shower curtain fell down (it was lose, then broke after the first morning). Overall and average expereince, the bad off set the good.

Reserved a room for a family of four, but were provided with only two bath towels, and no hand towels or washcloths. Took two calls to housekeeping to get extra towels. Room not cleaned on second day of stay. Pool closed at 6pm on Sunday (after a day of sightseeing in the rain, we came back to the hotel for a swim, only to find the pool closing in 30 minutes!). Not particularly convenient to anything we chose to see, but close to a Metro stop.

the location is fantastic... you are pretty much close to everything you would want to check out in montreal.. however the bathroom in the room is so small it's ridiculous... and the biggest problem is the AC - it's practically non existent - we had to get 2 fans going at the same time in the room to get it cool.. the guys at the front desk dont really care as there isnt anything they can do about the AC - so they put u through the drill of pretending to care by sending a maintenance guy to take a look who obviously cannot do anything either.. then they will feed you bs like oh the higher floors are cooler for some strange reason... all in all.. if you just want a place to crash for the night and dont care about much else.. then this is the place to stay at...

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 10 years. It is conveniently situated near the Place des Arts metro, Magill University, and many stores and restaurants. On the plus side, the bilingual staff are well trained, the rooms and beds are comfortable, parking is ample, and the price is reasonable. On the negative side, the rooms, at least ours, need to be partially refurbished. The TV was ancient with a fuzzy picture, and the plumbing to both the toilet and the shower leaked.

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and the staff was friendly and helpful. It all added up to a wonderful, romantic weekend.

Washroom wasn't so good, old and non fancy looking tile. Didn't had curtain in shower, all the water falls on the floor, fortunately it was towel for feets. But overall it's a nice hotel, like other Holiday Inn I've been. Great location! Perfect staff!

I requested for an extra bed in the room, and agreed to the surcharges. It took over 2 hours for us to get the bed. We wanted to go to bed, but we had to wait for it. It took 4 phone calls to the front desk (house keeping does not pick up the phone) before I was able to get the extra bed. Also the safe in the room was not working, we called maintenance and they said they can't do anything about it. The A/C was not working properly too. My previous stay in this hotel was really really good, but now I will not go there again. The internet too was very slow and always disconnecting.

Worst hotel ever! $24 parking Tub didn't drain Internet on floor 7 broken Dirty 2 towels per room Pool closed whenever they wanted a break. Kicked our kids out. Run down Broken table Staff not trained and not engaged Dirty dishes left outside rooms for days No control on temp Dirty - I mentioned it before but it had to be mentioned again

Limited hotels available in light of Formula one race. Clean and acceptable. Decent restaurant on ground floor.

Great location, the staff was totally accommodating in a room switch to a quieter floor (high school graduation time). Sure the hotel needs some updating in spots (bathrooms for ex), but it was clean and had a fantastic location for the price.

The hotel staff: parking attendant, bellhop, and desk staff all, did not seem to know what they were doing or what the others were suppose to be doing or where they were. The desk clerk had the wrong information on part of the reservation, no one assisted with unloading ( bell hop was missing ), After 15 to 20 minutes waiting in my room I had to return to the lobby to track down my luggage cart and, the conceierge sold me a tour package time that did not exist.

We were checked into the wrong room, and then moved to accomodate our needs (two beds). That room had not been cleaned, we asked to have it cleaned twice, and then at 9:30 finally insisted on being moved. The hotel was full and the elevators could not accomodate the demand so there was at least 5-10 minutes wait. The valet service was slow and inconvenient. There were parties and hockey teams everywhere, security and police responded to many complaints. Kept awake through most of the night.

the hotel is in a decent location, within walking distance to main streets and metro. the rooms are very average....need updating. maid did not show up to clean rooms until very late....@ 630pm. for the price it isnt bad....nice lobby, rooms need updating....its a very average hotel.

The hotel was in a great location - only a few blocks away from the bars downtown and right near McGill College. Yes, they speak English here too so that was a relief. The rooms were pretty well-kept and the parking downstairs was convenient. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The price of everything was pretty good all things considered.

HOTEL WAS CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN. ROOM WAS VERY NICE. RESTAURANT AND BAR HAD GOOD SERVICE. CLERK WAS FRIENDLY.

Convenient parking under hotel, a little more expensive than small surrounding lots. Location was fine..metro was around the corner. And easy walk to St Catherine. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom showed signs of maintenance - but not a big deal in the scheme of things. Staff were helpful when they were around, but the concierge was not always available.

Located in the heart of the city, convenient to almost everything, including Metro. Clean rooms, friendly staff

My first time in Montreal - I truly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn - the rooms were comfortable, the staff pleasant. Outside of the hotels there were tables and chairs that you could sit at and enjoy a drink, a light lunch, coffee or ice cream. I loved that! - Location - awesome, close to everything and plenty to see.

Hotel is well situated andcomfy they only have valet parking. Wouldn't be a problem had they not list my car twice in 3 days. Very unorganized

I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is perfect for shopping or access to the nearby museums and subway. On our floor we had several school classes and one night a wedding party. These people were very noisy late at night. Therefore I can't recommend this hotel for people who like a quiet hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located close to McGill University campus and from a 15 minutes walking distance form old Montreal. Great location. They do offer free internet access , however it is an unsecure internet network. It is inadvisable to access homebanking using such network. It is a shame.

Really enjoyed this hotel - it's within walking distance of great shopping, restauraunts & the great Montreal downtown. Hotel was great, service was great. The walls are a little thin - you can hear some late night partying but it's the same at most hotels. Would definately stay here again!

Ao tomar banho, o ralo da baheira estva semi-entupido ficando uma lamina d'água nos pés, muito ruim. O café da manhã muito ruim pelo preço, além do mais a garconete me disse que os serviços não estavam incluido no valor do Café. Lamentável esta situação.

Hotel pratique, chambre confortable en elle-même mais salle de bain microscopique et hotel très bruyant: bruits du chantier à côté, passages dans le couloir comme s'il n'y avait pas de mur!, de la chambre d'à côté idem: pour un hotel de ce standing, c'est un problème...
