very convenient to the Train station. Lovely hotel. excellent breakfast. This is the second time I have stayed and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Lisbon.

It's a classical holiday inn. Proper hotel but a little bit to far from the center city. about 6 euro cab from the hotel wich is 3km. Nice stay

I've toured through Portugal for two weeks and this was the absolute worst experience. The hotel staff gave an absolutely horrible experience and had no idea what they were doing. Credit cards were double-charged with the same reservation and another hotel guest received the key to my room. I will have to go to my bank to sort out the credit card charges. The breakfast was terrible: it was expensive but the bread was old and many items were run out. The location is horrible as well, you don't want to stay in this hotel.

I was extrememly satisfied with this hotel. My husband and two sons stayed here in a suite. The hotel seemded recently updated and the service was excellent. The surrounding neighborhood was safe and close to the sights. I would definately stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lisbon.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel - whole family of 5 - good value, very comfortable, great food and really excellent service from the breakfast team.

this was a good hotel for the price. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is further from the central area of Lisbon where there are restaurants and attractions. The train station is close by and it takes two trains to get there. It is easy to use and does not take a lot of time. I think I would stay again even though it is further from the central area.

Top marks for a wondeful hotel and helpful staff. Good value for money!

Great hotel except for the surroundings. There are no resturants near by and not to many stores in walking distance.

Nice spacious room. Rate reasonable.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and find it ideally sittuated between the old and new parts of the city.The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable .The coffee shop is very good value as is the restaurant. The staff have always been very helpful. There is secure underground parking and a taxi rank right outside the hotel and they are inexpensive.

From looking online and reading a few other reviews, it seemed as if the Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental was going to be a good deal for the price. Unfortunately, I definitely got what I paid for with this hotel. The hotel staff was not very helpful and had no desire to be. The taxi drivers that were outside the hotel seemed to have an "in" with the hotel staff and were also quite rude. I got into one of the cabs and asked him to take me to one of the touristy areas. He didn't understand me, so I pointed to it on the map. He told me to get out of his car. I did and went inside the hotel to one of the staff members at the front desk. I told him what happened, and he came back outside with me. I asked him if I could take a different taxi rather than the one with the rude driver, to which he responded to me and said, "You would have to wait until that taxi leaves since he has been waiting here the longest." That seems completely unacceptable to me when dealing with rude service. In addition, the wireless Internet connection is through a third-party company and was down for the first 24 hours of my stay. The hotel does have two computers that are wired, but you have to pay 1 Euro for every 5 minutes to use it. After trying for 24 hours to get connected to the wireless Internet, I went down to the front desk only to realize that even though the front desk had told me the day before that the Internet connection was down, the real reason I couldn't get on was because my American credit card was not acceptable to the Portuguese-based provider. The hotel staff gave me a 24-hour pass but made me pay for it! So even after they had told me the wrong information and I was without Internet for over 24 hours, they still made me pay for the service. The room was okay - just a hotel room. The location was okay, though there was some graffiti right across the street. The hotel is nowhere close to any bars or restaurants, so taxis and subways had to be taken to do anything. All in a

Overall the experience was good. Even though you're not located at the very heart of the city, the location of the hotel puts you only 1.5 blocks from the Yellow Line Metro and 2 blocks from the busline. You're only about a 10 minute bus ride from the airport. The rooms were rather narrow, however, the staff was even able to provide us a third bed for the third person in our group (making the room even more narrow!). Still, this was not expected and greatly appreciated. The bathrooms are very nice, and the sink was designed so you could wash your face without smacking the faucet. Unfortunately, the tub has a 1/3 length of the tub glass wall that doesn't protect from splashover when you're showering. So your floor can get quite wet. The internet is expensive. It works on a set hour block, so once you start, it continues until your time goes out. The fitness center was small, only 2 tredmills (which max out at 12km/hr or 6 mph), 2 bikes and 2 spots for sit-ups. So if you're looking for working out, its not exactly ideal. We didn't try the food though because you are in Lisboa. Not really sure why you want to eat in the hotel when you have phenomenal food just 5 minutes down the Yellow line. Overall, its a great place for first timers. I would recommend it.

After al long drive from Porto to Lisbon, I found getting to the hotel a bit of a challenge especially since I did not have a GPS. At a first glance, I was a bit worried, since the hotel is not located in the best of areas, as it overlooks a hospital and neighbour in poor condition. For an holiday inn, the exterior and reception did look a bit tired; however, check in was quick and efficient. The lifts were being serviced; and this meant a long wait; but during the quieter times it was ok!, Parking is a problem and you have to use the hotel parking which at 14E per day was quite steep for a South African. The rooms and linen were neat and clean; and so was the bathroom. The towels, however, were a bit dodgy; and could use a better cleanup. Aircons were good; but the view was none existent; as we overlooked another tired old hotel. We chose not to eat breakfast; so no comments on that. We ate breakfast in te coffee shop next to the hotel; and that was quite reasonable. We did find a great cafe that sold the best fish for a bargain 7E; and within walking distance from the hotel, so that took care of supper; and they close late, at 11pm. Walking to catch the bus was not too far, but the walk was through not the best lanes, dirty. We did not use the metro or bus, although we were tempted to. Our hired car got us to the main tourist attractions; and being a South African we managed with the hectic traffic; although i recommend a diesel car, but automatic with a GPS. It will save you many hours of getting lost. The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel and costs more that it should. Its location is its greatest downfall.

A bit off the main activity, but good access to metro. Parking was included is a plus. Lots of good inexpensive eating places around. Liked the Continental cafeteria. Staff was efficient but lack warmth. Overall good stay, good value.

We booked online and have 2 adults 2 children (2 and 4 years old) The hotel gave us a suite on the 8th floor. We paid for three nights what we would pay for one in London.The staff were helpful and of course lovely with the kids. The in room dining food was not very good at all and expensive. Breakfast was better. The mini bar was also overpriced. In all though, as we had a car to get around, I thought the hotel was fine. Would I go back? Yes. We hired a car through the hotel which was a simple procedure.

Overall, this hotel is very nice. Our room was spacious, modern and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I guess the location was a bit off the beaten path. Getting to the hotel required the taxi drivers to take seemingly circuitous routes. Since taxis in Lisbon are reasonably priced, however, this is no big deal.

O Hotel é muito confortavel e bem localizado. O que deixa a desejar é a Internet que além de não ser boa é muito cara. No geral foi positivo. Ernesto

Wir waren als Gruppe mit 7 Frauen auf Städtetour. Das Hotel war zwar ausserhalb, aber die Metro war in ca. 5 Minuten zu erreichen, so dass man schnell im Zentrum war. Das Personal an der Rezeption war freundlich und teilweise deutschsprechend. Unsere Wünsche, die wir im Vorfeld geäußert hatten, wurden zu unserer Zufriedenheit erfüllt. ( Ein Zimmer in der unteren Etage wegen Platzangst im Fahrstuhl.)Die Zimmer waren nett eingerichtet und sauber. Probleme gab es nach dem Duschen in der Badewanne, da der Badewannenaufsatz zu schmal war und somit eine Überschwemmung zur Folge hatte. Zu bemängeln war, das für zwei Personen lediglich auch nur zwei Kleiderbügel vorhanden waren. Die Lobby war ebenfalls sehr nett eingerichtet, gefehlt hat ein ausgewiesener Raucherbereich. Es standen mehr Leute draußen vor dem Eingang, als im Hotel waren. Aber alles in allem kann dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfohlen werden.

Hotel realmente muito confortável, equipe de atendimento eficiente, ótimo café da manhã e excelente relação custo/benefício.

Hotel muito bom. Os funcionários são extremamente atenciosos. Muito bem cuidado e confortável. Minha única reclamação é em relação à Internet no hotel. É muito cara (5 euros por 1 hora) e o sinal Wi Fi estava muito ruim. Volto se tiver a oportunidade e recomendo.

Check-in- check-out très rapide et à l'écute de vos demandes. Chambre très confortable avec toutes les commodités, mini-bar très complet.

Conforme à nos attentes, très bon rapport qualité/prix Un peu éloigner du centre touristique mais proche métro et bus.

Schönes, sauberes und unkompliziertes Hotel. Der Empfangservice ist nicht gerade freundlich und hilfsbereit. WLAN leider nur gegen teuren Aufpreis. Duschvorrichtung nicht geeignet und führte zu einer Badzimmerüberschwemmung. Mit kleinen Verbesserungen könnte dieses Hotel zu den besten von Lisabon gehören.

Hotel moderno e bastante confortável. A localização não é excelente, mas é boa. Funcionários bastante simpáticos e prestativos, ao contrário dos de Madrid. Os preços dos produtos do hotel são bastante salgados, exemplo: 1 água de 300 ml são 3 euros!!!. O café da manhã são 12 euros!!. O mini-bar é um micro-bar, não cabe nada.

Perto do aeroporto, com quartos confortáveis, silenciosos, acomodou bem 4 pessoas no quarto executivo. Único porém: na entrada tem uma escada com 4 degraus. Não há rampa de acesso e não tem ajudante para subir com malas pesadas. A comida do restaurante é boa. Os funcionários foram prestativos e atenciosos.

CRITICA COSTRUTTIVA : ... hotel di prestigio ... rispecchia quanto prospettato, personale cortese e professionale. Materasso e cuscini OTTIMI. Unico particolare negativo: nel bagno ... non erano contemplati ... quei piccoli dettagli che fanno la differenza ... ovvero: spazzolino, cuffia, dentifricio, pantofoline ... Un altro dettaglio..... seppur espressamente richiesto, non era sintonizzato alcun canale italiano tra i tanti canali TV ... anche in altre camere (di ns amici), Basta poco, per migliorare. Susanna, Lucia, Salvo e Giovanni.

Gostei muito da disposicao dos funcionarios, da limpeza e da localizacao. Tudo que precisei eles me forneceram com muita disponibilidade. O quarto estava em excelente limpeza e conforto. Indico sem duvida alguma
