On of the best hotels ever

I was very disappointed in my stay. They did not accommodate early check-in. I booked a non-smoking room only to find out non was available. No discount or other means of compensation offered by hotel. My room was right outside the A/C generator unit requiring me to request another room, still on a smoking floor. When you exit the elevator, you get hit with strong blast of air from their A/C. When I asked to check out the night before, it could not be done due to the update of their bills do not occur until midnight. They said I would get the check out bill under my door the next morning. It did not happen. I still had to go down and stand in line to check out. What a disappointment for the amount of money I paid for this stay.

It was very nice. My only complaint would be the construction. It would be nice to have a detour map so guests can plan their routes.

Great experience, very helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Right downtown, walking distance to the A's baseball field, and many other places.

My stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was beautiful and I had a lovely mountain view. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and I love the fact that there were various casinos and restaurants that were accessible without going outside into the elements (it was very windy and cold during my stay). My sister and I were on a very needed getaway and we throughly enjoyed are stay and the hotel!

there was someone elses hair hair all over bathroom, coffee pot in room bearly worked,, the bed was the most comfortable i would have liked to take it home

I've stayed at a few different Reno casino hotels over the past 6 years, due to annual volleyball tournaments I have attended with my daughters. The Silver Legacy has some pluses in that it's connected to Circus Circus and Eldorado, so that provides more eating options, more arcade options for the kids etc.... Another positive is your within walking distance to the River Walk area of downtown Reno. This is a nice area along the Truckee River...that has a variety of restaurants, along with the parks along the river which are very nice. I would also say that the area your walking thru can feel a dicey...and my perception is that you wouldn't want to walk here late into the evening by yourself. This is a nice option if your not into the Casino food. My biggest negatives were...in the evening, the parking lot fills, and it's quite time consuming to self-park. I routinely found myself winding my way up to the upper levels of the garage, behind a line of vehicles doing the same thing. When I left in the morning...there was no wait to exit...as the evening Casino players had already parted. The hotel also showed signs of wear and tear, without sufficient maintenance. Small signs for me like lightbulbs on the elevators being burned out (lots of them), need for fresh paint, etc..... But....the room was clean and functional.

The staff were wonderful! Very helpful and accommodating, especially Tzana at the front desk - she was amazing!

Great place to stay while in Reno.

It was all great!

Very friendly staff, although the pool needs to be open later than 8 pm.

The silver legacy is conveniently located in downtown Reno. It is connected to other hotel casinos and adjacent to the Reno events center.

Convenient downtown location, better parking than other nearby hotels, very clean and well maintained, good restaurants with a lot of variety, friendly and helpful staff, and good non-weekend rates. Only surprise was the high cost and slow speed of internet (yikes!).

My only disappointment is that in the information describing the hotel there was a notice that we would receive a $100 hotel voucher which lead us to assume it could be used for meals or the casino. However it turned out to be a bunch of cupons for discounts for things we didn't want.

First of all where else do you receive complimentary unlimited champagne upon arrival while you wait in line at the registration lobby?? That on it's own sold me on choosing this fine hotel in the future. Clean well maintained rooms and great customer service

We booked our hotel room a few weeks in advance on line and booked a non-smoking room. At the same time our friends that we travelled with also booked on line as well. When we arrived our friends got their non-smoking room but my husband and I who suffer from asthma, allergies and emphesema were told there were no more non smoking rooms. They couldn't meet our request. So unfortunately we had to suffer through the disgusting smell for 2 nights as we really had no choice . Needless to say we were not impressed with the service at the Silver Legacy.

Overall good-the only negative was being able to hear other hotel guests move around during the night. Great restaurant choices and easy as parking. My second stay.

Room, service, and Cleanliness of the room and hotel was great

Had a spa suite, a little pricey but nice. Comfy bed, big room, big bathroom with huge shower. Hotel lobby is very cool, lots of crystal and silver. Connected to Eldorado and Circus Circus by walkways. Casino was good, good smoke removal system.

Great place to stay if you want to be in downtown Reno. Many great places to eat within walking distance.

Hard to get to all roads were being worked on but I'm sure that will improve and it will look better. The stay was better than expected as I have not stayed there before had fun and never left the three hotels that were hooked together.

The price was about the best part of this place. Right now, April, 2012, there is a disgusting traffic situation downtown in Reno and access is difficult and confusing. We were not prepared for the giant size of this place nor the smokey environment. While we had a non-smoking room I believe that smoke wafts up from the casino into the accommodations which was mildly unpleasant. The food in the Sedona Cafe, a quirky combination of Chinese and American cuisine, was mediocre (although priced right for hungry gamblers). Overall next time, while passing through Reno, I'd stay away from downtown and the casinos in favor of a less glitzy but solid accommodations.

OF COURSE IT'S RENO, BUT TOO NOISY AND THERE IS NO-SMOKE FREE ZONE. DON'T RECOMMEND TO STAY WITH KIDS

The Silver Legacy is about the ONLY place to stay in Downtown Reno. The area is even more rundown than I remember it, with many abandoned buildings and Casinos. That being said, the Silver Legacy was like an oasis! It is comfortable, modern and pleasant. It has a GREAT Steakhouse, and nice gaming area. It is walking distance from the Riverwalk, National Auto Museum, and the train Station.

The beds are the comfiest around!

Room was very nice, comfortable and clean. Restaurants were excellent as well and we felt safe at the Silver Legacy.

They check me in with another couples that are still in the room. That is soo embrassing. They should make sure rooms are clear before even checking poeple in.

Room was a little smaller than we expected

The room was great, but guest service was very poor. I was first given a room and the key did not work. After 2 trips. A lock smith came and open the door. While the lock smith was working on the door. The toilet did not work.. Yet again I had to go downstairs. This time around I ask to switch room. The lady at the service counter was very rude, and made a smart comment. This totally upset me. First of all I had to come down twice to try to get into my room. Then I had to come down again to swap my room.. At least you could apologize.

We recently stayed 4/13 overnight, our room was clean and the staff was very nice. Since we were only staying one night we liked that everything was available to us in one location. The one not so great experience was our dinner at Fairchilds Oyster Bar located in the lobby, now the clam chowder was delicious! Everything else we could have done without. Very disappointed in both the food & service.
