Clean room, cozy bed, room key gets you up to rooftop bar/club which is a great added benefit when the line is through the lobby you just breeze right by to the elevators, valet takes 15-20 min, all in all great stay in SD

We had plans for a bday dinner and trip to Stingaree. Had a blast at the club then came to the Hotel. We checked in road the elevator all the way up to sky bar and had a blast. Room was great, clean, good coffee in the pot. No fridge but we didnt need one. The beds were clean and decently comfortable. Next time we go down town we're doing that again!

The Hotel had everything you would want to do or see within walking distance, including Petco Park right across the street for all the baseball fans. Great service, rooms, lounges, and restaurant. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed here because it's right next to Petco Park. We were thrilled with the location to everything in the Gaslamp and especially how quiet the hotel is. It was incredibly busy with people for opening day but our room was quiet and the beds are very comfortable.

An all around good experience. I needed to so early check-in, they could not have been nicer. All my experiences with the staff were very positive and it is really a great location.

the hotel is in a perfect location, the rooftop bar is our favorite bar in San Diego especially during baseball season!! within walking distance to everything in gaslamp!! A fabulous hotel!

Great location! The room was well appointed and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue was the quality of the buffet breakfast. Food was undercooked and cold-runny eyes and barely cooked bacon. Coffee was not good. Although the breakfast was disappointing, our stay was great!

The TV is too low to watch comfortably while reclining in the bed.

Perfect at reasonable rate. Large room. Recently renovated. Loved it.

Very nice, will definitely be back, short walk to everything in the Gaslamp.

The San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter -- Convenient location!! Walking distance to ALL!! PetCo Park, Convention Center, Restaurants, Night life!! Parking was high if you valet with the hotel... thought we'd get a better rate since we were staying at the hotel, but no. However, there is a parking structure right across the street at more than half the cost of the Marriotts Parking!! Literally just crossed the street to get to parking structure with the better parking rate (although it was NOT valet). Overall, wonderful place to stay!!! Would Highly recommend it!

Loved the location for the Padres game! Loved the breakfast buffet! Loved the room! Loved how quickly the staff took care of bringing extras like crib and fridge to the room! But....My hubby is 6'3" and he had to duck his head to take a shower. I am 5'1" so it seemed to fit me well, although the soap holder was at my knee height. The shower head was only inches above my head so when my husband showered he had to lower his head to get under the water. Other than that it was a great location for restaurants, Padres stadium, shopping and convention center.

so nice to have windows that open for fresh air, nice staff and perfect location

Gaslamp has great nightlife and this hotel is in good location for it. If you're not into the nightlife, it might annoy you that theres a club on the top floor and therefore the lobby is filled with people every night lining up by the elevator to get in. Also I could not locate any close parking other than the valet at the hotel, which was close to $40/day plus tip. Overall though, it was a nice hotel in a great location for a decent price.

Perfect hotel for a week-end getaway. The hotel is around the corner from the Gaslamp area and across the street from the Petco Park home of baseballs Padres. I am frugal about hotels(some say cheap) but I found that spending an extra $30 per night pays big dividends in the long rus. This hotel is exceptional- only regret is that I could not have stayed longer.

Actually, very nice hotel, clean, comfortable. Great location in the Gaslamp quarter and very close to the convention center if you're coming into town for a conference there. BE AWARE that this hotel is adjacent to PetCo Park, where the Padres play. If you're a baseball fan or here for the games, that could be great. If you're not, and don't feel like dealing with the significant extra foot traffic and the crowds that come to the (really very nice) rooftop bar every game night, then this place may not be for you. Also, there is no swimming pool. But spacious rooms, comfortable beds, decent gym on the roof, very pleasant service. Overall, highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, with an awesome bed. The rooftop bar is a lot of fun with great views, a little pricey though ($10 for a gin and tonic). Only bad part was no Jacuzzi. We tried to make due with the bath tub, but wasn't big enough.

Very nice hotel, good two-night stay. Pros: - A block away from the main Gaslamp-area street (5th Ave); good restaurants there, tourist shops, etc. Within walking distance of parts of harbor. - Good security: you need to insert your room card in elevator to get to your floor. - Nicely furnished room, including a nice desk, sliding door for bathroom (takes up less space), comfortable beds and pillows. - Half a block from Petco Park. Cons: - In-room WiFi costs $9.95 per day. - No mini-refrigerator. - Can't use the luggage carts yourself. - Not too close to zoo area.

In a hotel of this category, you get one bar of soap for the shower and another for the lavatory. I dont know if the staff was following instructions, but we actually had to ask for soap, since we had none for the shower and the only bar left was halfway spent. Otherwise, the experience was good. Hotel does not allow pets. PLEASE KEEP IT THAT WAY. We visit San Diego once a year. We stayed at another hotel on previous trips, and changed to this one when they started allowing pets.

Centrally located to many restaurants, shops and Petco stadium.

Great location, Great roof top bar with fantastic views of the city. Staff friendly and efficient. Room comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!! Only down side is that it is valet parking only which is expensive.

We weren't expecting a lot because we got such a good value and the price was less than other hotels in that area, however, we were very pleasantly surprised. This is definitely at least a 4 star hotel. Everything was clean and inviting. The only criticism I would have is that the beds and pillows were way too soft, but that is just a personal preference. The location is great and within walking distance to the park, the bay, the bars, and convention center.

It was truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay, the upstairs bar with it's view was very nice. The location to the ballpark was also good. We are thinking of coming back for a future game. That being said the only reservation we had was the cost for overnight parking. Is there a location close bye with cheaper rates?

The room was clean and comfortable, however the room was a lot smaller than I had expected. The furnishings were not as modern as you would have expected from the check-in desk. The walls are thin, so by early morning I woke up to the next room's pipes making noises from the shower. But the bed was super comfortable.
