Pool was open 24 hours. Could not believe it. Awesome.

seems you can hear everyone in the hall, the room next door and the TRAIN outside!

Would stay again...

THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND OUR ROOM WAS CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN .

Courteous people at the front desk. Room service was prompt. Comfortable room. The hotel was close to our family event. Good breakfast and service at the coffee shop.

I've never written a Hotel review, but my stay at the Bakersfield Marriott was such a pleasant experience, I feel I must! Others need to know about this hotel. I've never felt so pampered. The exceptionally clean room helped me to relax the moment I stepped through the door. The bed was spa-like with beautiful clean white linens and tons of pillows. I actually pulled the comforter up around my face. (never before in a hotel) The same atmosphere continued into the bathroom where I found plenty of huge fluffy white towels and high quality toiletries. This Hotel room actually seemed to anticipate my needs. Big TV, movies available, in-room coffee . . . and about that alarm clock. I want to know where I can buy one!

Disappointed that we were unable to have 2 queen beds. Also Disappointed that the hallway to the Convention Center was closed and we had to walk around the outside. The reason I stay at this hotel is to have direct access to the Convention Center.

Brief stay, but well-accomodated. THe only issue I have is the breakfast buffett. If I'm paying $14 for a breakfast buffet, why still charge me $3 for coffee?

Had a great stay 2 blocks from civic center.

Loved it would stay again

It was comfortable and convenient for the event. hot tub nice but closed too early (10PM) for me (after event, too late to go). great bar and food area and local to lots of eateries and downtown. No complaints

Room was spacious and clean. Large bath room. WiFi worked well. Over all good stay. Room Service is excellent.

Good view, good condition......

The room was fantastic. We went for a concert at the convention center; nice close walking distance. Problem with other hotel guests, loud door banging could hear guests on both side yellig, screaming and laughing till 1 am, had to call security twice, they did not stick around to make sure the people leavig did not slam thier doors. Door slaminng so bad other guests from other rooms came out in the hallway. Contacted hotel, they replied once, but after promising to contact us further, have never heard from them again. if you want a loud party hotel - this is a great spot.

We enjoyed the hotel. The staff were nice. We used the jacuzzi outside. The pool was extremely cold, wish it was heated. The movies on the TV weren't working properly, but they tried fixing it to no avail. The in room dining was very good - big sized Asian Salad for a good price.

Friendly staff, walking distance to the Rabobank Arena. The beds are the most comfortable ever.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, just not in the greatest of neighborhoods and a bit far from the freeway but definitely the best choice if you need to stay in Bakersfield!

During my vacation, I have stayed many kind of hotels. Among them, I think this place was one of the best hotel. The desk office was really kind even midnight, and very clean.

Asked for refrigerator and microwave and it was delivered to my room within in the hour. VERY LOUD air conditioning on roof when originally on second floor, so moved to the 5th floor, no noise. Loved fitness room, very clean too. Customer Service was exceptional at Front Desk. Female bartender not so friendly, catered more to the men at bar so my tip was cut in half and the rate was below what Marriott website offers thru Hotels.com but then again I didn't earn any Rewards points, but would stay again to save $20+.

The hotel is great. The city is boring. Couldn't tell if the city was dangerous or just barren, but the highlight of your stay may just be the Marriott. Nice staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, HD screens...hopefully I don't end up in bakersfield again. But if I do, it's the Marriott all the way.

Clean, friendly, but gt to my room #325 , and the bathroom had open and used shampoo, body wash, ect... I woke up and chose not to shower before I got on the road back to Sacrmento. Dove 4 hours to stay in ur hotel and I was not happy!

Not too reassuring when the first greeting signs in the parking lot warn you to protect your valuables. Then, check in to find you need room card security access to the elevator. Maybe a good idea, but again... "Welcome to Bakersfield...?" The staff and facility are very good. But I asked about a convenience or drug store nearby, nope, closest about a mile away. For a downtown hotel, really? Boss, please keep me outta Bksfd!!!

Horrible experience !!! You can hear slamming doors from neighboring room. The worst was when the AC/ air conditioning kick in the middle of the night,, . It was really loud. Before reserving this room I viewed all the comments , one was the AC compliant but I ignored it,,story shorten around 3:00am the AC was making a loud noise that you can't imagine.called the front desk and told that there's nothing that they can do.

Very nice hotel I will stay there again when going to Bakersfield.

Overall, the stay was nice until I kept getting awaken by the trains. Stay on the street side of the hotel, not the parking lot side of the hotel if you want a good nights sleep, I think! I was also upset when I was leaving with wet hair, to find the hairdryer stored in the closet top shelf after wondering why there was no hairdryer in the bathroom.

Nothing spectacular

I stayed here for one night, I highly recommend this hotel. It is a newer hotel, very clean and comfortable, with the amenities you need. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel lobby so it is very convenient. Close distance to shoppin, restaurants, etc. great hotel for the value as well! Definitely will return here.
