Hilton San Diego Del Mar - ديل مار

It was better than I expected. Clean room, excellent location, beautiful courtyard and pool area, bar, restaurant. Friendly & accommodating staff. My only complaint is the parking was a bit of a walk to my room. I thought there would be another entrance closer to my room. I had to pass the bar full of people and front desk everytime I wanted to go to my car. :-) No big deal though.

Very happy with the hotel service and atmosphere. The amenities are very nice, the food was fantastic and the service was great. The only issue I had was that the freeway is literally right next to the hotel and my room was facing that direction, not a pretty sight ! Other than that I rate this hotel a 4 out of 5.

I wish there was some kind of mention of this on hotels.com before I booked the room. The hotel was fine otherwise.

Nice place no complaints.

Hotel is nice, good food for sure. Room walls were a bit thin, and $18/day for parking is something that you don't find out until you are there. Overall the stay was satisfactory at best for 1 night.

The beds were way too soft and the room they assigned us was close to the I-5 freeway resulting in too much noise in the room. The service overall was very poor, the food and beverage service was not good, several long waits for both service and delivery of items ordered. This is basically an old motel with the Hilton name on it.

The only thing I would change is a room closer to the elevator, because my husband had difficulty walking up and down the stairs.

We checked in late and they never even offered bag service. In addition the room I booked was supposed to have a pool view and all I could see was the tree in front of my patio. I ended up upgrading to a 2 bedroom suite cause the rooms where tiny. Twice I had to have key cards fixed because they wouldn't work. Over all the hotel was nice but for the price tag they are charging you would expect the service to be way better. I ordered room service one of the nights and the chicken was extremely over cooked to the point of being chewy.

Fabulous stay. North of San Diego. Great rate. Beautiful grounds. Outdoor heaters. Club level outstanding food and service. Bar very welcoming. Great food, full menu. Excellent free shuttle service. Within 2 miles of am track/coaster station. $12 all day public transport pass avail at train station. Did not rent a car - great relaxing vacation.

I thought the cost of water was silly. And charging $18.00 a day to park distasteful.

Spoke with Sam And then Justin to get a cell phone power cord returned. Each time no one got back to me ? What kind of service is that ?

They charge you enough for the rooms and 25.00 dollars a day for parking is not right. The new room we had still had glue on the counter and they were sticky. You would think that the cleaning crew would make sure that it would be clean for the guest that are staying there, since it is brand new.

I was expecting more from this hotel. The layout is not properly design. The elevators were to far from the guess parking lots, had to take three flights of stairs to get to my room.

Quiet...we were overlooking the freeway. Room was clean, good sized no other rooms beside us. The Polo Lounge was great and welcoming, The hotel location was perfect for our plans.

Very comfortable hotel! Some of the food was bland but overall I was pleased with my stay!

Noce Hotel with very easy access to freeway. Racetrack is across street and there is a walking/running trail within a quarter mile that courses through the San Diego Lagoon watershed and bird sanctuary.... great for a relaxing run or walk in the morning. Hotel has a nice pool area and is maintained well. Would stay again. Parking is secure (gated) but a bit pricey at $17/day

Our stay was great. We were there to attend group dinner event. Some of the attendees were offered a breakfast buffet coupon. When I called to make the reservation, I was not offered a group stay with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious. I guess next time I will ask for breakfast offers. Thank you.

I Have stayed at this hotel many times. Even though they recently went through a remodel, the hotel went down hill. Most of the front desk staff is not professional in terms of service or presence (not up to the standards if a Hilton) and the hotel had so many loud and over bearing guests running through the lobby, down hallways, everywhere. I am not sure we will stay here anymore.

The renovations were really great for the most part. However, the right hand bathroom sink faucet was all loose and wiggly, and I could not understand how they could renovate everything so nicely, and not replace the toilet paper holder which was all rusted and nasty. Lastly, there was not enough lighting in the bedroom....room 2025.

I had a short stay, but I'm glad I didn't stay longer! I just got a Charge for self Parking!!!! I had to seach around, then walk quite a distance to my room, then I get a bill later for 17 bucks for "Self Parking" Won't stay there again!! Heck the should have washed my car for that!!:0(

This hotel needs an elevator on the rear end of the building, otherwise a good place to stay. Could not give 5 ratings as I did not use the hotel service and amenities to its full potential.

when you see the name Hilton, you expect more i think. They obviously took over a small inn so when we arrived, we were a little disappointed. the pool was not as big as the photo makes it seem. It was nice and heated so no worries there. The hotel is only 3 floors and the hallways smelled like stale cigarettes. the room was great though, nicely remodeled so it was very bright and cheery. lots of space! the restaurant was not open most times so we ended up driving the quick 5 minutes to albertsons and buying snacks there. No fridge though so you need to be creative (we just requested another ice bucket and filled the sink with ice cubes to chill our drinks) bad coffee so definetely don't rely on morning coffee in the hotel room. if i had to do it again, i would pay a little extra for the club lounge access.

Great Location if you are going to Del Mar Race Track.. They have a shuttle that takes you and also picks you up after the races although I walked several mornings since it is within 1/4 mile from the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I will stay here again when I return to Del Mar!!!

Unfortunately had a hard time reaching someone when calling directly. Either I had a busy signal or no answer, so I booked through this website instead. Had similar difficulty in relaying information regarding a late check-in. For how small this hotel is, one would expect it to be more steamlined in managing customer service requests.

You might think you're tucked away on a So Cal oasis when you're here, but this stylish resort-like hotel is right off the freeway and across the street from the Del Mar Track and Arena. But, you don't need to love the horses or arena sports to enjoy the luxurious, but very affordable getaway. The service was a bit spotty, but the bar was nice, the gym was well-equipped, and the outdoor grounds and pool were lovely. Of special note was the terrific response of Rachel in Lost & Found, who located the valuable jewelry case I left behind and promptly sent it to me fully intact. She couldn't have been more couteous and conscientious! That will be remembered.

Overall good - this is our 4th stay. Only bad part is waiting for maid service- gone for 8 hours and room still not serviced and had to ask repeatedly for shampoo glasses towels and they had a plumbing problem second day and had to shut off ALL WATER for several hours during the night. But I still like the place! CA hotels in general would be so much better if they didn't charge you to park in their parking lot! That is such a crock!

Hotel has been newly renovated. Rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. Courtyard had plenty of seating. Pool pleasantly warm. Housekeeping was spotty - had to ask for the room to be vacuumed after 4 days. Front desk clerk just took our cards at check out without any pleasantry such as "Thank you for staying with us." Parking on outdoor lot and rollaway cot are substancial extra charges (added up to 30% of room rate). Overall a very pleasant stay and we would return.

Great hotel if you plan early departures and late arrivals due to the State Fair traffic. The traffic wasn't the hotel's fault but it was difficult to avoid.

get hotel for the price. very friendly service, clean room. had a great nights sleep every nite

I've stayed here so many times and loved it, this time around they were doing a massive renovation which left the hotel in shambles, bar closed, walking through construction materials and having to use service stairwells with materials everywhere. Simply unacceptable, just close renovate and open back up.

I've stayed at this property in the past so was familiar. The staff is extremely well trained and caters to one's every need.
