Booked at the last minute and found the rates resonable. Old hotel repamped like the larger king beds. Mondern bathroom.

Clean rooms in a small space, but enough room for two. Bathroom was clean with extra pillows/blankets in the cupboard. Good view overlooking George St and Central station with a beautiful pool on the rooftop, shame we could not make use of the facility.

Great location across from public transportation (Train and Bus). The front desk and staff were very helpful and polite throughout our stay. If I were to come visit Sydney again I would definitely book this location again, IF it were at least $30 cheaper a night.

Easy location next to Central Station, access to food (Menya Ramen!), Quiet, Comfortable hotel. would stay again.

great stay, I would do it all over again many time.

Best location without the killer price is Rendezvous Hotel. Central train station, Central bus loop, Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Market Place, Entertainment Center, Darling Harbour - just to name of the few attractions that is so close by. Our room was equal if not better to ones we stayed which are 5 star rated! Best part is when we flew out of Sydney for Melbourne, we just crossed the street to the train station for the train to the airport which ran every ten minutes. Overall, a great stay.

Hotel was great however the traffic noise at night was high as we overlooked the traffic lights. Even though we were on the seventh floor the noise still kept me awake.

I did a lot of research before booking my hotel, and was really happy with the location, right next to Central Train Station - which made travelling to pretty much anywhere in Sydney on public transport really easy. The hotel was clean on arrival, the room was ready early (thank you), and every day cleaned throughly. I especially loved the rooftop pool, the view was awesome! The staff were really helpful, especially Liam and Michael helping with all the random questions of places to go, and what to recommend, really helpful. Right next to Chinatown too so can get some really good priced meals but decent quality too. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

For UK travellers considering this hotel it is very similar to a Premiere Inn. Rooms were clean and functional, staff were welcoming and helpful. While we were there a special buffet breakfast promotion was offered at 15AUD if booked the night before. Transport links are good with numerous bus and suburban train routes easily accessible as are the Sydney Monorail and tram systems. Despite double glazing we found the traffic noise from the busy intersection to be excessive and intrusive. This was the only negative aspect of our stay. Our rooms were on the 6th and 9th floors facing Central Square, those facing Quay Street might fare better.

Hotel was very good .Nice and clean and handy to attractions etc. Breakfast was a bit expensive. Would stay again.

The Hotel was very central only a couple of streets away from the hop on hop off bus, 15 min walk to Darling Harbour, across from Central Station. Fantastic Thai Restaurant in George Street Crocodile Senior Thai, best Thai food I have had in for a while just as nice as meals in Thailand. The hotel had a pool on the roof top, lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. The only critisism I have was the buffet breakfast, not huge, no pastries, the rate for the night was great, recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Sydney

I enjoyed the great location, next to Chinatown and minutes from the Central Business District. The hotel was clean, modern, and the staff was excellent.

Loved being upgraded to a 1 bed suite. Very tastefully furnished. No negatives what so ever.

The hotel was nice overall. The pillows were NOT comfortable. They were thin and very hard, so sleep was not easy, but that is just me. My husband had no difficulty with them. I found generally during our stay in Australia that the staff at the hotels were not very knowledgable about the area and this one in particular catered more to business travelers and did not have a lot of touristy info. But great location, easy access to a main train station which was important as. We did not drive, and a bus stop right outside our door!

We had a very comfortable stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful--the room was very clean--very close to all amenities and Darling Harbour, if you're going on a cruise, it's an ideal location.

staff were very helpful. Had two rooms - one was perfect, one was not so clean. Slightly worn bathroom but clean. comfortable beds. Excellent price for the location - haymarket and china town, 10 minutes walk to Darling Harbour. We would definately stay there again.

Hotel is across the street from the central train station and a major bus stop, which made getting around Sydney easy. A ten minute walk to Chinatown. The staff was helpful and accommodating.

Convenient to the train station, but the surrounding area is a little seedy. Lots of backpackers around.

It was a great location....directly across from the train station and close to buses. It was a great place to stay if you just want a basic hotel. It was clean and staff were friendly. We did ask for a room facing away from the major road, and noise was not an issue.

We enjoyed the accomodations and certainly would recommend it to our friends.

Fiancé & I visited Australia for a family wedding and wanted a convenient location for access to public transportation. Across the street from Sydney's Central station, the Rendezvous is perfect!

We were there for a week. Whilst the rooms have been renovated from the old Country Comfort, the beds, pillows and TV's seem the same. I woke up each morning with a sore back and stiff neck from the board hard beds and brick hard pillows. Tired as well for the lack of sleep over the traffic noise coming through the 6th floor faux double glazing (2 conventional aluminium sliding windows riveted shut). The TV had dreadful reception and the only channels it received were 2, 7, 9 ,10, SBS, Sky News, Discovery and 4 sports channels. Not that we could see much that was happening. The rooms were well cleaned and staff reasonably efficient. It may be ok for a 1 night stopover, but is no good for an extended stay or where comfort of the room is important.

Rendevous hotel is conviently located near the Central train station, basically it's across the road which is very handy when you get the train from the airport. The hotel itself is not bad, Rooms are small but clean and decor is reasonable. The location is a little bit away from the action from places like the rocks or Surry hills but still reasonably central. Given the cost of hotels in Sydney the rendezous is a good option for travellers.

Stayed in Sydney overnight from Melb, then to the International airport the next day. Caught the airport train in & out of Sydney and this hotel is just across the road from Central Station where the airport train arrives.

I enjoyed it but there was some problems at first with the room. It was sorted out pretty quickly. The second day the garbage bin was not emptied. Overall, the hotel was very satisfactory.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Rendevous in Syndey. We had a double room which was very spacious. Bathroom looked very new! Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and toiletries and towels were provided. Great transport links to and from airport - we got the train to central station from the airport and its less than a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel provides an airport shuttle for $14 so we caught this for our return journey. Definitely worth it if you have large bags. The staff were very helpful and friendly! My luggage was lost on our flight over to Syndey and the hotel staff arranged delivery of my suitcase. All very knowledgeable about the local area and happy to help! Location was great if you don't mind walking. About a 10 min walk to Darling harbour and about 20-30 mins to circular quay. 5 mins to Paddys market. The hotel is on a busy road however we weren't disturbed by any traffic noise. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I return to Syndey.

Enjoyed our stay at the Rendezvous. Sydney is a friendly city to visit. Would recommend both the hotel and the city to anyone thinking of traveling.

Wi fi charges are high and it is not free for all guests just 1per room

Once again the staff was very satisfying. Close to all amenities and work environment. Room most comfortable, service and amenity of hotel very good.

The hotel suite i booked was for five ppl but there was only a king bed and a fold out sofa bed so i had to sleep 3 grown teenagers together in the king and sleep on the fold out bed. Not so comfortable and not very happy concidering the fact i paid for five. i rang reception to book me a maxi cab and he said it would take about an hour so suggested i just head down to see him and he would wave us one. When i did that he waved us a standard taxi which wasnt big enough and then told me i would have had to book one?! Overall great location one block from Paddy's Markets. And in house parking made it worth while.

Nice place in great location

We arrived on a dawn flight and in no time at all we had walked across the road from the station, I had not expected my room to be ready due to the time of day, the check in was nice and easy and we were expected. Our cases were placed in locked storage untill the room was ready. Yes the room did suffer from a bit of road noise but did not hinder our sleep. The quality of the windows are the issue not the location. The room was spotless perhaps a little tired in places but not a problem. Too many fantastic eateries locally for us to try the hotels food so I cant comment on it. All in all..a good stay and the location suited our needs 100%, yes I would book again.

The phone didn't work and lights couldn't be switched off. Room pretty small and poor quality. But location great.

The staff at this hotel were all very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and of a reasonable size...the king bed was one of those two singles pushed together so only allowing you to sleep on one side or the other..The area is interesting at night..a little low brow but colourful..The area is also quite noisy (sirens etc.) but the soundproofing of the windows is surprisingly effective...Basic modern budget hotel.

Comfortable, and excellent restaurant service. Could do with better sound-proofing of road traffic noise.Disappointed that my booking was in another (previous) guest's name and details on the form when booking in. Heating in lounge room did not work, just the cooling.

I had a pleasant stay in the hotel. The facility and service are great. It is located at a top spot with all public transport and restaurants nearby.
