Front desk manager (Jill) was the rudest human being ever! Room was filthy and customer service was a joke, called the 800 number for assistance and they didn't care either! NEVER again!

The room stank like a locker room full of stinky feet, The people above us thought it was a stomp athon and stomped all night long while the lady in the next room loved to scream, we knew all her bussness not to mention the cops were called becouse a fight broke out, when I called the front desk to get assistance with screamer in the next room it took 45 rings for anyone to awanser, I WON"T BE BACK

Just a few things that we didn't care for....like the price was pretty steep, hot tub in pool area was not operating with just lukewarm water and water jets were not working. The continental breakfast was decent, our room was very clean as were the sheets. The air conditioning in room worked great. Location was ideal being right off the expressway, staff was friendly, lots of close-by restaurants and other stores. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give it a 8.5.

This hotel was not good at all. was not happy with the any aspect of it.

way too high of price for what you get. Room was old and smelly. Indoor and outdoor pool were not heated. Free breakfast was a joke unless you just want orange juice and coffee.

If you are passing through and all you want is just a place to sleep for the night and a quick breakfast in the morning before getting on the road again, then this place is ok for that. I would not stay here for any length of time to visit in the area.

The 3.2 guest rating says it all. The place is satisfactory.

The hotel itself was extremely warm. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like someone had been smoking before us. We were also very disappointed that there was not an elevator, which made it very difficult to lug all of our belongings up the stairs. The pool was so cloudy that you could not see a thing and this dissappointed the kids since they were looking forward to swimming but we did not let them. However, the staff was very friendly and courteous.

While the hotel was clean and my room comfortable, I do have issues with the lack of security. I noticed that several guests were not completely closing the side door leading outside. Desk attendant said it was because of people who go outside to smoke. I questioned her about the possibility of someone who is not a hotel guest just coming in off the street through this door. She stated that there are cameras on every door and knows when someone comes in through a door. She was at the time talking to me and NOT viewing her screens. If I had small children, this would not be the place to stay. If it had not been so late, I would have tried to make different arrangements for myself. I was also concerned with the hotel providing alcohol to its guests who were drinking in the lobby. How safe is this hotel?

Room was nasty smelling, toliet was full of human waste and was broke upon arrival

During our stay they were doing some remodeling, that was much needed. the pool area was GREAT, but making us wear wrist bans over the weekend was a bit much. the pool area was HUGE many tables and chairs, video games, pool table ect, BEWARE the water in the indoor pool was ICE COLD. the hot tub was nice. We didn't get to use the outdoor pool, it was too cold outside. The room was nice. We didn't get to eat breakfast because there was no room to sit and eat and the line for the waffle maker was way too long (they could use a 2nd one) Because of its location, we will stay again.

Hotel is under construction so that impacts condition. Doing extensive renovations to lobby area. Other than that met our needs completely. TV remote did not work, but didn't really matter.

Staff were friendly however would select another accommodation next time. Waited for check in, staff walked in room without knocking, was unable to receive fax because they wait till it is empty before purchasing toner, conference room was not prepared per our request, floors were not vacuumed, requested late check out and still received knocks to see if we had left and was less clean than we prefer. But the people were nice. :)

The hotel rents out their pool area for parties. These should be monitored if you expect any of the other guest to enjoy their stay. The party that was held there Saturday night was over the top loud and had guests screaming to each other from the pool to the party platform and they had the music so loud everything on that side of the hotel was affected. It was also unruley most of the evening with hotel staff not wanting to address it. Too bad because if it hadn't been for that - our stay would have been lovely. The pool area itself was a great place to enjoy. ( when there wasn't a party going on.)

The staff was great, the breakfast was ok, but the hotel is an older facility. The handicapped access room had a toilet that was too low, the bed was too high. The shower was great though. The facilities need an update.

It was not at all a good experience.

Our family stayed here over Labor Day weekend. It was very easy to find and located between Downtown Muskegon and Norton Shores where THE LAKES MALL is located. Super "back to school"/beach get-a-way. Needed a bigger place to house the free breakfast.

The pool was murky as was the hot tub did not look appealing.The room was poorly lit and had a distink smell,the washroom was ok,but could of used alittle more T.L.C as there was a used shampoo bottle in the top left corner of the tub surruond,probably still there today.Hotel room felt grungy. Not all was bad, the continental breakfast was great,the frontdesk staff was excellent.

First of all this was the worst hotel experience ever. I would never stay at the Comfort Inn Hotel in Muskegon ever. Myself and my sisters had to be moved three times. They didn't have a elevator, we had to carry lots of luggage up and down several flights of stairs. The rooms were not clean to our satisfaction. The communication between staff was horriable. The owner David was arrogant, his customer service skills were terriable. He was rude to the staff in the presence of customers. Our overall experience was unexcepable. I rate this entire experience a 0, which is off the charts. In other words, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. To all that read this review, spend your time and money elsewhere. Thank you for your immediate attention.

The Air condition didn't work, in May, and no screen on the window, so that couldn't be opened. The room smelt musky, the handles on the drawers fell off or were already off. Not sure what the photos posted are from, but it certainly not this hotel. Pool was dirty and small. Clerk ran my cc 4 times and said wasn't accepted, until I looked at my statement and there were 4 charges for the 1 night I stayed.

1st room had sticky spots on the sheet, was courteously moved to a second room. Overall the rooms were clean but showed wear & tear in the bathrooms. 2nd room air conditioning worked but not efficiently. Outstanding feature: best ever breakfast bar, large nice lounge, indoor pool & hot tub & sauna. Card keyed entrance to the pool was beat up from many guests trying to open it before keying. Clerk was very helpful for all requests Good location (near the highway exits and chain store shopping).

After working a 12 hour day we finally went to check in to our hotel only to be met with an employee who was having an emotional breakdown! We heard all about her problems with her husband and work and when we tried to redirect her she just continued course. Finally an off duty employee came over and checked us in. After that all was good! Nice clean room, clean hotel.

Went over labor day weekend to visit Michigan Adventure and Grand Harbor. Was very crowded and was impossible to take advantage of complimentary breakfast. Beds were too firm, hard to sleep. Hotel was right off highway which was convenient, but surrounding area was a little scary.

We were just in town for one night, and chose this hotel for the included continental breakfast. We stayed on a Sun night, and breakfast the next morning was very busy, not enough places to sit, and the staff couldn't keep the coffee and donuts filled. The front desk staff was not the friendliest, nor the most knowlegable about surrounding attractions. I asked for directions, and the manager had to step in. They also tried to charge me again for the room, even though it was booked online. The room was comfortable, everything worked, hot water was adequate. No elevator that we could find. Didn't stay long enough to use the pool. I was a little alarmed to see signs for the correctional facility at the same exit as the hotel, but the area didn't seem too bad.

The excellent service at this hotel compensated for the negative aspects. The one complaint we have is the water tempature in the shower was not regulated. It went back & forth from very hot to very cold and made it difficult for our children as they were both scalded. However, we did lose a camera while staying here and the front desk retrieved it so we do appreciate their service.
