the beds are comfortable& the location for downtown..the amenities could use some improvement for the price of the hotel. a microwave & fridge would be nice & we ordered a pot of coffee & it was cold.

This appears to be an older hotel remodeled by Ikea to do a knock off of some of the chick modern hotels such as a W. Walls are very thin got to hear neighbor rooms conversations and trips to the bathroom. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Not sure what to compare to in Boise was told this was the best. Not bad not great just another hotel.

Nicely decorated and very comforable bed. Reasonable rates. We were there on business and all very satisfied. Great steak house located within hotel.

I was a bit disappointed in the lobby--we tend to use the lobby as an extension of our hotel room to visit friends, read the paper, etc., but it was small, and you would be blasted with very cold air anytime the automatic door swung wide open. Also, the room was a bit dark--but very elegantly decorated in rich, dark woods and colors.

The hotel was great - one problem. The lighting was poor over the bathroom sink. It made putting makeup on difficult. Everything else was really good. Great location.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and had reservations at the restaurant in the hotel(Chandler's), so I decided to surprise him by having us stay the night. He was delighted by the idea, and everything about our stay was very nice. The front desk people very friendly, and our room was very comfortable. We have already talked about possiby doing this same thing for my birth day!

On the outside it appears that it is an older hotel, but stepping inside takes on a whole new era. It has been updated and modern. The rooms are very cozy with a pleasing natural color scheme and soft lights. Our room had a cozy chair a view of the mountains behind the downtown city lights. The only downfall was coming in at 10 in the evening and hearing our neighbors TV clearly. I don't know if its because it can be a "shared" room with the door between the rooms or that the walls aren't that insulated! Major plus, Chandlers Steakhouse is on the premises and their food is FANTASTIC and live jazz playing as well. We loved the fact that is it was downtown and we could walk to everything including the Saturday market. We will definitely have a repeat stay in the near future.

Great hotel, fabulous staff. Parking garage is $10 extra, street parking is almost nonexistent.

You can always count on this hotel for service and friendliness. Add the Chandler's Steakhouse and its great food, and you can't beat the location.

Walking distance to all the nightlife and most sites. Clean, cute, and hip. Friendly staff. Will rebook when we are back in Boise.

Very quiet boutique hotel. Best bed anywhere! We were able to park on the street because it was a weekend, so did not have to pay for parking. A refridgerator in the room would have been nice but not a necessity.

The hotel is very modern, very clean and very close to all of the bars, restaurants and attractions. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanted to stay downtown. This hotel will be the only place I stay anytime I make it back to Boise.

Although the restaurant closes at 9 pm the neighborhood offers a lot of food and fun places even late in the night. Very centrally located - sightseeing musts, capitol, centre basque, shopping areas. Boise is not a thriving city - but a fantastic and cozy place with urban flair between Yellowstone and Oregon. The staff at the hotel is very helpful, the room are modern and very clean, coffee shop a bit poor, have breakfast elsewhere.

Good in town location and the restaurant, Chandlers, was really good with a wonderful wine list. Would stay there again and highly recommend the restaurant.

Very comfortable beds, nice touches in room. Love the Bear! In walking distance of great restaurants,shopping, movies! Love it with the exception of the fee for parking.

My husband and I stayed here for a one night getaway. The room was very small for the price, the bed was too soft and there was no refrigerator. Also, we were awoken very early by the front desk when they said they didn't have a credit card on file for us for our breakfast, when I clearly remember giving my card to the girl at the front desk when we checked in. The room service breakfast wasn't very good. It arrived cold with soggy toast and no salt or pepper for our eggs. The only thing I would recommend is Chandler's resturant which is attached to the hotel. Our dinner was excellent and the service outstanding. We will probaly try a different hotel for our next getaway.

Great price, great bed pillows. Best steak house in Boise attached to it. Highly recommend.

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Boise with easy access to restaurants and the state capital offices. Clean and relatively comfortable, I would have rated them higher if the bathroom area and entrance hall were a bit larger. These areas felt very cramped.

Overpriced but very clean.

The hotel was very nice and in a perfect location to down town Boise. Our only complaint is that there was a group of very loud people partying across the hall almost all night.

We stayed for an Ironman event. Comfortable place, clean, nice people. The only things I'd like to see are firmer beds and a pool, but I'd definitely stay there again. Has kind of an unusual decor that gives it a cool vibe. I heard the steak house attached to hotel is the best in the state, but it is a little pricey so we didn't try it.

This is an overpriced "boutique" hotel in downtown Boise. The rooms are very expensive, but there are almost no amenities. The bare bones cable TV stations didn't come in clear, the wireless internet connection was terrible, and the cheapest item in the vending machines was $2.00. But, the worst part was the service. We arrived two and a half hours after making our reservation, and it hadn't come through yet. I had just gotten out of surgery and needed to lie down. Even though I had my receipt they wouldn't let us check in. They told us to come back in a half hour or so. After we finally checked in, someone from the hotel knocked on our door around 10pm and gave us champagne as a gift. Five minutes later I got a call from the front desk saying they didn't mean to deliver that to our room, and wanted to make sure we didn't open the bottle. When a staff member came to retrieve it, she said she would comp our breakfast the next morning. Each morning housekeeping would come bang on our door several different times even though we had the do not disturb sign hanging up. When we checked out, a charge for breakfast appeared on the bill, and the girl at the front desk gave us a bunch of attitude about removing it. When I got back home, I realized I had left a couple items of clothing in the dresser. I called the hotel right away and she said my clothes weren't there. Either she didn't actually check, or someone in housekeeping stole them. I needed a nice relaxing place to stay after my surgery and instead I got an expensive nightmare.

Awesome, retro hotel... Chandler's enhanced the stay. Great food!! Clean, loved the smell (did not smell lik ea hospital)... which I hate most hotels do. Very nice staff. Overall great experience...

For the price, I was surprised at how small the room was, especially the bathroom was so small. I had issues getting hot water, and then we had to pay $10 to park, which was not mentioned in the Hotels,com page, but was on the directions when we printed them.

Hotel 43 is small and personal. The rooms are not deluxe (no mini-bar or watefall shower,) but far more charming and comfortable than a typical chain hotel. In the hotel is a first class steak house called Chandlers Restaurant that is one of the top rated restaurants in Boise. I used it several times for clients dinners and for casual meals at the bar. During the week nights, quite the young professional scene. I would have liked a larger work out room with more than just two elipticals and a tread mill, but as I was the only person using, not that big a deal.

We were early and they were very accomodating. The whole experience was great. The breakfast choices at the Metro Cafe were great and couldn't have been more convenient. Dinner at Chandlers was fantastic. The beds were the best I have ever slept in and the room was clean with a fantastic view or the changing trees and lit capitol building. It was walking distance to many restaurants shops and main downtown plaza. PERFECT!

Had a wonderful meal and the lounge and entertainment were wonderful...Just had a bad Friday night drunk wake us at 3:30 a.m.....Will still give it a thumbs up...

This is a nice hotel in a great location... However, for the money that you spend it seems like some basic things were missing... NO coffee in the rooms for instance, no hot tub or pool... Next time I will stay at a different hotel downtown...

Never been to Boise and was looking for possible relocation. Hotel 43 was perfect! Modern design, fabulous comfy beds, GREAT coffee bar and breakfast cafe. In the center of EVERYTHING with dining, movies, and freeway access within blocks. The staff was always going the extra mile to print maps for me and suggest areas to visit. The Chamber of Commerce should give them a big thank you. I certainly did. Sheila from Phoenix 9/18/10
