Very swanky! Perfect for a 15 year wedding anniversary. Might just be a little too cool for us in coming years. Lobby was awesome. Rooms, small but cute--felt a little like a cruise ship. Air condition/heating system loud and sometimes made a loud thumping noise. Central to everything.

We got a great value on Hotels.com. The hotel was very well located, extreamely clean and stocked, and the staff was so outstanding I cant tell you! We would so recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a great location and is a good value. It's very modern, with an iPad in every room. The entire first floor is a bar/lounge area with fireplaces and couches. Very nice. Rooms are smallish, which is typical for NYC. The biggest negative is the low lighting in the bathroom.

We always love staying in this area. Had been to the bar many times, but never stayed at the hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed, bathroom terrific with great mirrors and shower. Would definately stay here again.

We stayed for business but location is fantastic for tourists. Our quiet room was very spacious and filled with latest technology. Only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom -- not good for ladies applying make up unless they are dressing for a night out in a dim setting.Oh but I also think you shouldn't have to pay an additional fee for internet connection - but here you do. The fitness center is adequate but not special. The lobby bar is a fun place for a cocktail. Check out was a little bit hard as there are only two stations and both were busy as we left. Bellman are surprisingly friendly in this chic spot. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The Royalton is on Wesgt 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, a street filled with small, characterful luxury hotels. It is diagonally opposite the famous Algonquin Hotel, and just two blocks from Times Square attractions, the subway and Grand Central Terminal. It was particularly nice/impressive to bring a date back for a cocktail. The lobby is long dark and narrow and during winter has a very cool jet-flame fireplace dividing one half of the area and keeping guests warm who, most of them, it must be said, pride themselves on being cool. Yes, there is a bit too much checking-out-your-outfit competiton going on but my room was great and bathroom beautifully kitted out. I would probably stay there again.

Everyone on the staff was fabulous and very helpful. The restaurant staff, front desk staff and the front desk staff were all great. I would stay here again in a minute. Great location. It was just a great time.

There was no ability to get any food on arrival, there was a complete lack of initiative or service offering that one should expect from any hotel, let alone a hotel of the reputed quality and reputation of The Royalton; a 4-star hotel in the heart of New York. The experience was a poor one all round. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I stay here ever again. We choose our hotels based on comfort, quality of service and friendliness or staff. We pay good money in the hope that we at least get partially satisfied against this criteria. The Royalton - A Morgans Original, represented none of these traits.

Spectacular! This hotel is hip, trendy, and the epitome of a boutique hotel in NYC. The level of friendliness and accommodation from the staff is exceptional and I would recommend this hotel any day of week. The lobby turns into a club at night (starts getting club-like at 5:00), complete with very loud music, lots of beautiful people, and flowing drinks throughout, so be preparred for that. If you're looking for a traditional bright and quiet lobby with people sporadically scattered, this is not it. This is a true NYC hot spot! The location is perfectly convenient to everything in Midtown, you can walk everywhere! But leave the kids at home when you come to this hotel, it's designed for adults who are looking for the quintessential NYC experience!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is decorated very nicely and has a fun fashion forward vibe to it. Don't order a beer at the bar unless you're on a company tab, though, because they're $10 or more each!

There is so little I'd be able to complain about here. Room was wonderful. Bathroom great, and bed was super comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. A big thank you to the people at the Royalton for making our stay in NYC so pleasant!

This was a great place to stay. comfortable, quiet room.. Very helpful/friendly staff. We found the hotel on hotels.com and it exceeded our expectations for the price and location.

A very stylish and welcomingly unusual hotel. We had a loft suite which was spacious and very comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel as there were many excellent restaurants close and less expensive. Well positioned in Mid town near to Times Square.

It was fantastic and the staff is so attentive and cordial.. The hotel is a 5 star hotel . Beautiful, Sexy, elegant and much more.I would stay at in any Morgans Group hotel anytime............

Located on 44th West St between 5th and 6th Avenues this hotel is on one of the quieter streets of New York yet only 5 minutes from Times Square and Grand Central Station. The rooms are clean and of a reasonable size (bigger than our bedroom at home) and well furnished with comfortable beds. The bathrooms have small sinks but any shortcomings are outweighed by the enormous walk in showers. The bar areas and reception is very dark (part of the boutique effect). The service from the staff is excellent. Opposite the hotel is a traditional American diner where breakfast is a third of the cost of that in the hotel. There are hundreds of restaurants with a 10 minute walk. If offered a limo when you get to the airport take it if $60 to $70 this is more than the fixed yellow taxi fare of $45 but far more comfortable. New York taxis leave a lot to be desired.

Quirky and unusual hotel that attracts a stylish crowd - there was a full scale party in swing when we arrived, but it seems that was a bit of a one-off! Lively during the week but quieter at the week-end it seems. Great bar if expensive prices (perhaps $12/glass of wine is usual in mid-town). Room small but very comfortable and excellent central location.

The people at this hotel were exceptional in their attitude and service as well as how nice they treated us. We will go back for a weekend any time we get the chance.

Stopped by at 11 a.m to drop off our bags and our room was ready!! The enormous lobby with it's glass fireplace a peaceful respite to enjoy our morning coffee from the shop two doors away. Pre and Post theater crowd enjoyed the lobby bar (awesome mixed drinks!) Room was the huge. Central to everything. A perfect week-end

I like boutique hotels that dont make you feel like you are part of the masses of travelers. At the Royalton, rather than the psuhing and shoving, standing in long check in/out lines, climb over bags and through ropes, you are privately wisked through the process.

Royalton lobby, restaurant and bar, and location are excellent. The rooms are typical size for New York hotels in this category but need a little upgrading. Phillipe Stark bathrooms are striking but overall inconvenient and impractical whereas rooms themselves could use better lighting and an extra chair or two.

"cool" hotel (possibly a bit try-hard - would it kill them to raise the lights in reception a little more?) in what is an otherwise fairly boring location (midtown). Great if you are in town on business or plan to do sightseeing all over Manhattan, given its central location.

Stayed at the Royalton Hotel for my husbands 40th birthday suprise and the Royalton Hotel staff couldnt have been more accomodating. They very generously gave us a complimentary upgrade to an Alcove suite and a free bottle of Champagne - wow! The suite was gorgeous, beautiful bed linen and extremely comfortable bed, very stylish bathroom with 5ft wide circular bath and a comfortable lounge with fire place. Lots of really nice little touches like aBose sound dock for Ipods, little candles around the room and Korres Agua toiletries. We even had a turn down service where a lady came and pulled the curtains and blinds, put the lamps on and turned back the duvets! Truly spoiled! The hotel staff in the lobby were really friendly, the porters were very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and if you decide to stay here you will not be disappointed with the location, 5 minutes walk to Times Square and straight onto 5th Avenue and all the fabulous shops, a perfectly central location, but once you are in the hotel it is an oasis of peace and calm. An extremely stylish lobby with beautiful decor and cocktail bar which was buzzing on an evening, although a little expensive, but you just have to sip a Manhattan in the uber trendy bar for the experience! I will definatly stay here again and plan another trip to New York in the near future, book with confidence, I am so jealous! Thank you so much Royalton - you made our stay a truly memorable one that we will never forget!

Had an amazing stay. The soaking tub was great. Definitely a plus for a NYC hotel. I would love to stay there again but unfortunately the prices have skyrocketed beyond my pockets.

Hotel was great, we would definately stay there again. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Close to Rockerfeller Center and Time Square, but on a quiet side street away from most of the traffic and noise. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I thought this look went out in the 90's. Need a flashlight to find your room.

A wonderful hotel. We were a block from Times Square. Arrived on a friday afternoon and did'nt have a place to eat for dinner. Called the front desk and they arranged for Sushi at Koi for 8:30 that night. Only negative comment would be that there are only 2 electrical outlets in the room. Very limited if you want to use your lap top and charge more than one cell phone.

I received a good rate for a one night stay. I loved the big tub in my room. The staff was friendly and accomodating. My one and only complaint is the Bar. I went down to have a few drinks with a friend and most of the good seating was reserved. I think a section should be blocked off for hotel guests, so they can take advantage of prime seating as well.

Hjelpsomme og hyggelig betjening.Moderne,rent pent og ganske stort hotellrom.Fem minutter fra Time Squrhe og gode shoppingmuligheter.Har bil på hotellet,som kjører deg til f.eks. flyplassen, til fast pris.Vi var meget fornøyd og er ikke i tvil hvor vi skal bo neste gang vi skal til New York.

Goed hotel met centrale ligging. Prima service, ruime kamers, iPad op de kamer. Alleen jammer dat wifi via personal devices niet gratis is. Trendy en geanimeerde bar. Aan te raden maar prijzig.

Vänligt bemötande i receptionen i detta något ovanligt utformade hotelllobby. Rummet var jättefräscht - nytta badrum, fin inredning. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell där du får valuta för pengarna - lite över medel! Det enda minus är att hissen kändes lite "skakig" och att den mysiga lobbyn är något mörkt vilket kan göra det svårt för den har nedsatt syn. Detta är med säkerhet det hotell jag bokar för min nästa NYC vistelse!

Fantaskiskt hotel! Bra läge, trevlig personal. När man kom hem en sen em var det som att komma in på en nattklubb. Jättetrevligt att få känna pulsen på väg till hissen då jag åkte med min dotter, dock lite svårt att hitta in, endast en stor svar port.. Rekommenderar starkt!

perfekter Service - gute Zimmergröße - tolles Bad - zu Fuss zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten - für alles andere Metro oder Bus in der Nähe

Det är ett väldigt fräckt hotell med grymt bra barer i entrén. Mycket folk som vistas i dessa barer gör också att man gärna kommer tillbaka. Närhet till bra affärer på 5 & 6 Avenyn samt Broadway gör bara omdömet bättre!

Royalton on erittäin siisti hotelli todella hyvällä paikalla, teatterien ja Timesquaren lähellä. Aulatilat erikoiset; hämyisät ja varmaan mielipiteitä jakavat. Huoneissa Ipadit. Olimme tyytyväisiä valintaamme.

Wegen der zentralen Lage des Hotels konnten wir praktisch ganz Manhattan zu Fuß erkunden. Auch für unsere Musical-Besuche am Abend war der Standort ideal. Die vielgerühmte Lobby empfanden wir allerdings als zu kalt und zu dunkel, vor allem das Frühstück (viel zu teuer übrigens) in dieser Atmosphäre war nicht unser Fall. Doch auch hier war die Lage wieder ein Pluspunkt, in unmittelbarer Umgebung gab es jede Menge Alternativen. Insgesamt würden wir diese Unterkunft sicher wieder wählen.

hotel etrange car tres sombre et très desing, malgré tout trés agréable. nous avions une chambre standard malheureusement le lit était petit !enfin pour les états unis (pas de king bed) par contre une literie et une couette tres agreable, bonne clim....
