Nice hotel with affordable prices. Very kind and helpful staff.

It was a pleasant surprise that the hotel room was very spacious and clean for the rating of 3.2. Considering the room charge which included breakfast that was quite decent, I could've given the overall rating of higher than 4 if I could've entered a decimal point... The only complaint (?) was that the room was extremely hot in early April when it was very cold outside, which I mentioned to the front desk staff as I checked out. I'm not sure what would be the room temp when it is hot outside - it may be freezing cold (?)...

it was a good hotel for a short stay, very nice personal, a good place for all the things to see in Brussels

The location of the hotel is convenient when you arrive from the airport, close to Gare du Midi, south station. But apart from that there are no redeeming qualities with the surrounding neighbourhood. Run down and quite shoddy. Hotel was clean and lobby totally fine. Breakfast was great considering the very reasonable price for the rooms + breakfast. BUT staff was not very helpful, and no fridge in the rooms. So you could not chill a bottle of bubbly for example. Sad. Totally fine for the very reasonable price. But beware that the area is not charming at all, and there is nothing worth to see around.

I stayed two nights, Liked the hotel,very close to train station,didn't need taxi,that was a plus. Easy to go to any place,tram,buses and train in walking distance.Liked the people working in the reception,very friendly,very helpful,especially Mr. Abdel was a very nice person,wish all hotels i go could find people like him.Breakfast was good,plenty of food,quality was good.It was a nice experience

The hotel is cheap and good. Brakfast is the best point of the hotel. Location is not perfect, athought is very close to Midi Train Station (5min walking) is a little bit far from center and best attractions of Brussels (around 5min by tram or metro). Hotel is next to stations of every transport, so the distance is not a problem. Room is reasonable and price is fair.

The Hotel lift was pretty small and it is difficult for 2-3 people with luggage to use the lift. Also one of the lights near the bed was not working. Otherwise the room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff during the check-in was very polite but the one during check-out was not very helpful.

The Floris Ustel Midi hotel in general was quite ok for what i need ,easy to to find really close to midi, very close to the center of Brussels and main attractions (10 min walk) , 100 metres from metro station, the room was very nice, spacious clean with many windows, the breakfast was very good with many choises for everyone and plenty of refull, the staff very helpfull (not all of them good in english). Although i was concerned about area - neighborhood, it is a typical work class area of a big city and we didn't meet any problems but i will suggest to be vigilant if you have to walk around too late in night, as in many big cities around world. To sum up a good hotel for what it gives.....I would suggest and i ' d come back .

Shower did not work and bathroom was not clean. When i spoke to reception about this they dismissed it and ignored it ~ rather disapointing. Hotel corridors were also FAR to warm as was the room. Reception was helpful when organising bus tour. Easy walking distance from midi station. Lack of eateries around hotel. Overall average stay but easy walking distance to city centre.

We aren't too familiar with Brussels, but did feel just a bit uncomfortable in the neighborhood. However, we came back late from dinner late and there were still many people out on the streets, so that made us feel better. If you come to visit with children I would suggest booking a hotel a bit further towards the center of town and further from the train station. Overall, the hotel was satisfactory. It felt clean, although our room had a strange smell to it. Sort of like a sewer. We tried to air out the room by opening the windows, but the smell stayed. There appeared to be some water damage in the bathroom, so perhaps that is where the smell was coming from. This was the biggest disappointment with the hotel. The staff was helpful when we checked in, but when we went to the desk later with a question the gentleman wasn't quite as pleasant. Staff was just OK. Breakfast buffet was very good, with just about everything you would expect to see. Internet you had to pay for, I believe 1 hour costed 5 Euros, so it was a little steep.

Firstly, the hotel staff told us off for taking the key card (which we have paid for our rooms), remember both key cards are for ours! Customer isn't always right. I might as well serve them the other way round. Hotel receptionist never smile. Unfriendly to say the least, mean to customers, refused to help customers when they are busy. You found out there were missing towels in the toilet, your lucky day! Because when I phoned them up, the staff replied, "I'm really busy I cannot deal with it...". They won't help you or give you a hand. Make do with the towels! Secondly, there is mould in the bathroom, dust everywhere including on the chairs, hair on the floor in the toilet. Dirty bins without bin bags. Smoky corridor. No air-conditioning. Too warm at night. Busy road, noise. You name it, they have it. Whether the lack of service from the staff or a filthy room. One waitress serving us breakfast were quite friendly. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend to book this hotel to ruin the vacation altogether.

This hotel offers very clean and comfortable accommodation at a modest price. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The beautiful old part of the city with many good restaurants, is within walking distance and there is plenty of parking space just across the road. In terms of the decorative state of the buildings and the fairly basic facilities and furnishings, we thought it was more like a two-star establishment than three star, but we would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends as a pleasant and convenient hotel which provides good value for money.

Me and my girlfriend came on a 3 day trip to Brusels. The people at the desk were kind and let us put our bags in the storage room until check in at 15:00. The hotel is located at walking distance from Brussels south train station (Brussels Midi/Zuid). And even closer to Lemmonier tube station (STIB). After we came back from a bit of central city touring we came back to the hotel to check in. Check in was quick and painless except for when the person at the desk forced me to give him my email for promotional material (I gave him a wrong address). After that we went up to our room. The room is exactly what you pay for. A clean bed a cubby, cupboard, bathroom, TV, working heaters, bed lamps. The bathroom was clean and had towels but the sink had a bit of a dranage problem. Although everything was clean. We lost our keycards on the second day and at the desk we quickly got 2 new keys no questions asked. Breakfast is good with all the main ingredients. Summing it all up, this is a nice affordable hotel in a good location. You won't get it cheaper than this without sacrificing a few things like the location or cleanliness.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the check-in was at 3pm, even though I had printed out the hotel details saying check-in was at 2pm. I was surprised that there exists hotel staff that will not look at you once when they are talking to you. When we returned, it was a different man at the front desk. This man was worse than the first. Good thing we heard him talking to the group in front of us about the complimentary breakfast and where and when it would be. He also gave them directions to their room since there are several wings to the hotel with elevators every which way. When it was our turn, and we approached him. He pointed at the passport in my hand, which I handed to him. He copied it, then gave us a key card without saying one word. Please note that I said, "Bonjour, how are you? Do you need my passport?" so he knew I was neither mute nor deaf. He also spoke perfect English since that was what he was speaking to the group in front. When I stood there looking confused, the three words he said to us were, "134, your room." That's it! Nothing about breakfast, nor where to find the elevator to our wing. We waited at the first elevator, which was right in front of the lobby desk and he saw us but said nothing. We got upstairs and saw that our room was not on that level, not because they had any proper signage, but because I asked the housekeeping and she told us and signaled to us how to find our wing. Even though she spoke no English, she was probably the most helpful person at this hotel. Our room looked like it wasn't finished. The paint was falling off the walls and the bathroom door. The cabinets were missing handles and the handles they had were mismatched. It was an overall terrible experience and that isn't even all of it. The location was terrible, we got pickpocketed a minute from the hotel at 7pm and chased and taunted by the pickpocketer since he was upset we caught him. Not a pleasant stay due to unfortunate smell in room. Was eventually moved after the first night but the experience was ruined because of lack of sleep due to this smell. The Hotel was near a metro station and train station which was fine but the area was a little intimidating at night.

The hotel is quite central and close to tramway and Metro stations which suited us well. The hotel is quite old and converted from several houses. It was clean and comfortable and the bedroom reasonably spacious. The breakfast buffet was a complete shambles - worse than Fawlty Towers! The area in which the food and drink was laid out was too small for the number of guests. Perhaps everyone just came to breakfast around the same time (0830). About twice as many staff were needed for breakfast than were present. Everything kept running out, from cups, cutlery, coffee, orange juice, milk and food and there was simply insufficient staff to re-stock quickly enough. Because of the lack of staff at breakfast it was a while before tables were cleared for other guests to use them. There was no shortage of food and drink , just a shortage of staff to get it out from the kitchen and to clear away. One had to make repeated visits to the serving area to get everything you wanted and this took a lot of time. This was neither good for the guests and unfair on the hard working staff, who were doing their best to cope.

This is an excellent tourist-class hotel. No exceptional frills but you will find clean, spacious rooms with lots of natural light, comfortable beds, and high quality linens. The breakfast buffet is simple and ample. Of special note are the delicious yoghurts and coffee selections. There is a lovely internal courtyard, great for breakfasting or relaxing with a drink, and the common areas are well situated and inviting. For getting around, you can't beat the location. If you are traveling to or from Charleroi airport the shuttle stop is just a short walk from the hotel in front of the Gare du Midi, (a busy train station with plenty of shops and places to eat.) A day trip to Antwerp is simple from this location as trains run frequently from the station. The Grand Place and The Cathedral are an easy to navigate 15-20 minute walk and hot spots like Club 3000 and Spades 4 are minutes away. And while the surrounding area seems a bit rough around the edges, it does not feel unsafe, just a bit swarthy. Only one major drawback to consider: Use of the wireless network is outrageously expensive. Overall a great stay - recommended and will go back.

Near the train station and in a working class neighborhood, this hotel is basic. The room was nice, the bathroom was becoming a bit outdated, but it was walking distance to the historic city center and to the midi train station. They wanted something like 15 euros for a day of wifi internet though! Rediculous. This should be a service, like television, that is offered by the hotel at no additional cost. Breakfast was nice. Get there well before 10 (before 9 if possible) to be sure you get good jam and croissants before they run out.

fire alarm went off in the evening . it took wellover an hour to put it off and no explanation was given

Hotel a bit farther from the tourist center, in a busy and noisy neighborhood. The price is good, breakfast fast and good, staff is helpful. Some room next to the elevator too noisy even midnight when elevator in use.

Nice mid-range budget hotel within convenient walking distance of the major train station, la gare du midi. Reception staff was helpful, buffet breakfast was copious. Seems to cater to bus excursion groups, also to families, students, young couples. Noise from the square (Square de l'Aviation) at night rises to the rooms which overlook it, so you may want to ask for an interior room if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, a good choice for a short stay in Brussels.

I recommend this hotel for everyone. We had very large room with big bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, many food to chose from. It`s convinient location to Eurostar Station.

Cuando llegamos, el baño estaba lleno de vaho y empañado, parecía que se habían acabado de duchar. Luego nos dimos cuenta de que siempre olía a humedad, era exagerado. Aunque dejáramos la ventana abierta con el riesgo de congelarnos, en cuanto la cerrabas, olía otra vez igual. El servicio del desayuno dejaba que desear. Cuando se acababa algo, tardaban una eternidad en renovarlo o simplemente no lo hacían. A pesar de esto, me ha gustado en general el hotel, cómodo y con muy buena ubicación.

bien situado, habitaciones grandes y limpias, zonas del hotel muy viejas pero otras reformadas, zona feilla pero muy cerca de la estación midi y relativamente cerca del centro, muy bien de precio.

Med unntak av frokosten som var kald, gammel og helt uspiselig og en frokostssalong full av festkledd personale i bakrus lørdag morgen som satt på bordene maten var plassert på og som pratet og laget støy, var hotellet greit nok til den prisen. Men jeg kommer sannsynligivs ikke tilbake og vil nok heller ikke anbefale det til noen. Skuffende, siden jeg bodde på et annet Florishotell litt lenger opp i sentrum og det var veldig ok. Jeg velger nok det neste gang.

二泊しましたがまずまずでした。駅に近いのですが道に迷いました。中央駅方面から列車で来ると右手に看板が見えます。これを見落とすと迷子になりやすいです。

Bonjour, Après avoir trouvé cet hôtel attrayant au vue des photos et de sa situation proche de la gare, je le réserve afin de passer un w-e en amoureux. La réalité est toute autre. - Chambre: pas de problème, spacieuse, belle et propre - Salle de bain: fuite d'eau ou de canalisation Toilette, résultat, notre SdB était dégueulasse. - Petit-Déj: certe compris dans le prix, mais il manquait de tout ou presque. Les viennoiseries arrivaient par paquet de 15 toutes les 30 min. alors que la salle comptait plus de 10 tables de 4 personnes. - Quartier: très bien désservi par les transports, mais quartier très sale, très très mal fréquenté, pas rassurant du tout En gros: A DÉCONSEILLER pour un w-e à deux!

Séjour très agréable de 3 jours dans cet hôtel proche de la gare du Midi. - L'accueil est parfait. Personnel à l'écoute et disponible ! - La chambre est très correcte avec TV ! - Petit déjeuner compris très copieux - un vrai plus - - Travaux de réfection à prévoir ou en cours dans certaines parties communes, mais on ne vit pas dans sa chambre. - Excellent rapport qualité/prix !

Récent séjour professionnel à Bruxelles, la température extérieure est exceptionnellement basse (-7 degrés), ça n'empêche pas le Floris Hôtel de proposer des chambres sans radiateur. Une des pires nuits que j'ai jamais passée il ne devait pas faire plus de 12 degrés dans la chambre. Le lendemain matin, au petit déjeuner , altercation musclée entre le personnel de l'hôtel et des faux clients qui étaient en train de faire les poches des vrais clients.. surréaliste. Bref, je suis pas prêt d'y revenir.

Proche de tout. Déjeûner diversifié. Propre et pratique. Je le metterais dans le guide des routards. Une seule chose que j'ai trouvé pas mal exagérée est bien l'accès internet, c'est de la crosse, à vérifier

Hôtel agréable et confortable. L'accueil a été chaleureux. Toutefois les environs de l'hôtel sont...hostiles.

Обслуживание, месторасположение, номер под крышей - все это понравилось. Но вот то, что в окрестностях бродит огромная куча пакистано-арабов, напрягло. И не зря - из машины нашего друга украли навигатор, разбив стекло. Завтраки - скукота.

El hotel tiene muy buen desayuno. La limpieza un poco descuidada y los muebles de la habitación un poco viejos.
