Marina Palace Hotel - ريو دي جانيرو

Depressing, spartane room, although we upgraded to executive. No balcony, impossible to open windows. Toilet malfunctioned, water leakage on floor. Good breakfast. Friendly floor staff and room service, unfriendly receptionistst (they made it sound difficult to get us a normal taxi, wanted to sell us the overpriced hotel taxi). Unimpressive common areas for the price. Boring neighborhood, it's far to walk to the restaurants and shopping. There are so many hookers residing with their sugar daddies in this hotel, that my legitimate, black girlfriend was automatically considered to be a hooker too. She was asked for ID in order to enter the hotel (although we already had gotten 2 keys), and she was oogled up and down. Oogling stopped when she changed her skirt for a long dress. We ordered a room service breakfast that turned out to cost 117 reais, they gave us double of everything, although it was not ordered. No refund possible. Minibar was not filled on every maid service. Internet in the room is crazy expensive, especially if you want decent speed, slowest package can't open a basic page with images, working was difficult. I was generally very disappointed with this hotel, I have stayed at better but cheaper hotels in Rio before. I'd pick central Ipanema or even Copacabana anytime. If you're allergic to perfumes, be aware that this hotel uses a lot of aromatizing products when cleaning your room.

Excellent value and service from the beginning. The hotel staff could not do enough to assist. Free wifi in foyer and breakfast areas. Free email and printing of a few importatnt docs I needed (most other hotels would charge you a lot for such a simple task). View was outstanding as was location. Great if you want a level of comfort and view in a solid Rio Neighbourhood. Highly recommended

The hotel itself is nothing to write home about - like most hotels in Leblon, it could use some renovation and the rooms are pretty basic. However, the staff is amazing. Everyone I encountered there was friendly, helpful and seemed to truly care about me and my stay. Personally I value amazing service over an incredible property, which is why I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. I can't promise you that you something won't go wrong with your room, but I feel very confident that if it does, the staff will actually care and work to make it right.

I thought the hotels price was very expensive for the actual expections I had of the hotel. It urgently needs a remodelation in its rooms. For the price i paid, I have been in better and cheaper hotels.

The hotel is in a good location. Close to everything. However, the rooms are very old. the bathtub and other bathroom fixtures are chipped and faded. There is no varioity of TV Channels. Only one TV/ CATV station is in English ( CNN) No Pay Per view or English movies. There was no face tissues in the room. When we asked for tissues, wew were given few individual size boxes. I would rather spend a little more and get a much better room. The hotel is rated 4 Stars. In my openion it should be a two star hotel.

The hotel location is great but the hotel itself (like all hotels in Rio) need a desperate remodel!! It's extremely expensive for what it is! Breakfast is just ok. The location is great but be aware of robbery in the area. I was robbed in the neighborhood with a gun pointed at me at bright daylight!! I lost everything but I'm greatful to be alive!

The location is wonderful! The only thing I would say is they need to update the rooms a little bit and the beds are very stiff but loved everything else!

Noisy halls, noisy elevators and thin doors conspire against a good night's sleep. Need to remedy it with a Caipirinha to put you to sleep.

Spent five days in Rio at the Marina Palace Hotel, and was quite satisfied will the accommodations that were provided. We actually had multiple reservations from two different systems because of price. The front office was very accommodating us in upgrading us to a refurnished room on the 20th floor with a nice corner view of Ipanema beach. Overall the room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water, room safe, and new LCD TV. The room actually had three twin beds, and they were kind enough to group two of the beds together so overall the room had plenty of space. Although the weather wasn’t ideal the days we were there, but the beach staff provided us chairs and umbrellas without any problems. The breakfast buffet was good nice view. The pool is really quite small more just to soak, but a nice view from the top. The surrounding area was very safe with plenty of restaurants and stores.

Our first time to Rio, and we were concerned about safety and easy access to fun things to do. The staff at the Marina Palace were friendly and very helpful in recommending places to go and making arrangements for us to get there. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had an ocean front view, but I think the other rooms would have great views looking up and down Leblon beach. We really enjoyed the roof top bar and pool with 360 degree views of the beaches, and the city.

I know Rio is pricey, but this hotel was a little too much for the overall quality of our stay. It is located on the west end of Ipanema. Just a little too far from the Metro station, so taxis are necessary for most ventures. The views are spectacular. Watch out for the rooftop bar - the service charge is more that the customary 10% and they don't want to budge on that.

This hotel is in a very nice area in Leblon Right on the beach. However, the hotel is a bit far from Copacabana if that's where you want to hangout. The main problem with this hotel is the condition of the rooms. They aren't falling apart but they look and smell old. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case with most hotels on the beach unless you pay outrageous prices.

Not really intended as a business hotel, but the fantastic location more than makes up for the lack of business ameneties. Hotel wi-fi was very poor.

Right across the street from Leblon Beach and 10 min walk to Ipanema-close to all upscale shopping districts 10 min walk.Hotel priced reasonably.However, request any of the new rooms which have hard surface vinyl tile floors-many of the older rooms have very old carpet which feels at bit unsanitary. Great overall experience and I would recommend to anyone-nice pool and bar on the 26th floor which gives a great city view-fitness center sucks but walk up to Muscle Beach in Ipanema to work out

Great location,right on the beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. First standard room was a little "tired" but room given on our second stay was much better. Overall excellent value for money and would stay there again.

This is a good hotel in the best place to stay in Rio. You could enjoy a very good service, an impressive breakfast buffet and excellent views over the Ipanema beach from the top floors. You can also walk safely around this zone for shopping, dining out (very best restaurants) or maybe exercising in the beach. It's a perfect place. Hotel quality is a bit far from european / american standards (internet daily fee not included, old tv screen, elevators that get stuck sometimes). But anyway I recommend it for any people wishing to enjoy a stay in Rio.

Nice hotel located across the street from the beach. The front desk was nice enough to upgrade our room when we checked in. (They all speak English) Wifi was available in all the rooms for 0.50 reals per min. Very modern and clean. Would Stay here again.

Everything was fine except the windows were so dirty it detracted from the great view we should have had right on the beach. Great staff, very helpful and friendly....a very enjoyable stay!

Adoramos a nossa estadia no Marina Palace. Os funcionarios sao muito gentis, a localizacao e perfeita em todos os sentidos. O hotel fica de frente p/ a praia e muito proximo a restaurantes, lojas, bares. O quarto no qual ficamos era muito confortavel, com cama grande e lencois bem limpos. Passamos dias muito agradaveis no Marina Palace.

O hotel em geral é bom, sendo muito bem localizado, porém falta manutenção no quarto. Quartos antigos com armário literalmente caindo aos pedaços. Está precisando uma reforma no banheiro e armários. Café da manha e estrutura do hotel em geral muito boa.

Hotel muito bom e confortável. Apenas o ar condicionado poderia ter controle na cabeceira da cama e os intens de conveniência do banheiro poderiam ser repostos durante a estadia.

Conforme o título do comentário, a localização do hotel é excelente. Próximo a inúmeros restaurantes de qualidade, para todos os gostos e bolsos, próximo ao mar, em região bastante segura do Rio de Janeiro. O deslocamento à pé facilita inúmeros atividades, inclusive durante à noite. O atendimento foi bastante prestativo e atencioso, de excelente educação. Inconveniente com colega foi resolvido com a mudança de quarto e compensação na saída com um late check out, o que demonstra o compromisso do hotel de agradar a todos os hóspedes. O café da manhã estava bem apresentado, com boa variedade de opções, recomendando-se apenas, em razão do pequeno espaço onde é servido, evitar-se os horários de maior movimento. Os pontos negativos, conforme relatos aqui existentes, são a inexistência de exaustor/janela nos banheiros, o q por vezes ocasionava mal cheiro no quarto, a pequena altura entre o chão da banheira e a ducha (eu com 1,8m quase encostava a cabeça nela), e a impossibilidade de se abrir as janelas dos quartos.

Gostei muito do hotel.Senti falta,no entanto de lixeira no quarto e de uma lixeira maior no banheiro.Quando precisávamos jogar o lico fora tinha que ser no do banheiro e este era muitíssimo pequeno.Nunca antes fiquei num hotel em que não havia lixeira no quarto.

Eu já fiquei várias vezes neste hotel. Porém desta vez o estado de conservação do mesmo deixou muito a desejar. O secador de cabelos do quarto não funcionou. A luz do banheiro é péssima e no quarto em que fiquei não havia espelho de aumento, então eu não consegui enxergar nada ao me maquiar. Os elevadores rangiam e as vezes as portas não fechavam. O ar condicionado não esfriava o suficiente. O café não oferece tanta variedade para o que é cobrado. As cadeiras de praia todas quebradas ou rasgadas, em péssimo estado! Enfim, o que salva o hotel é o atendimento dos recepcionistas que são bons, o barman muito atencioso e qualificado do looby o obviamente a melhor localização do Rio de Janeiro, Delfim Moreira, no coração do Leblon. Gostaria de voltar a ficar lá, mas o hotel TEM que melhorar!

Bra och säkert läge på Leblon beach. Skitig pool, rummen behöver renoveras men är trots det rena. Mycket trevlig personal!! Kostnadsnivån är hög i Rio, därför känns även detta hotell dyrt.

Minha estadia no Hotel foi maravilhosa, fui muito bem recebida e atendida. As acomodações são boas. A limpeza do quarto também é muita boa. A localização é perfeita! O restaurante do hotel e o serviço de quarto são excelentes! Fiquei surpresa com o atendimento do hotel na hora de pegar a praia!!! Recebi cadeiras, guarda-sol e toalhas no local escolhido para tomar banho de sol (na frente do hotel) AMEI! A vista da piscina do hotel também é maravilhosa! O único ponto que não me agradou muito foi o fato de o hotel não disponibilizar acesso gratuito ao wireless. De todo modo, adorei.... retornarei ao hotel e indicarei aos meus familiares e amigos!

O Hotel Mariana esta velho e precisa de uma reforma urgente. O banheiro esta cherando esgoto. Apenas a localizacao e o cafe da manha sao maravilhosos!

O quarto (11 andar) não reformado e com porta conjugada faz com que ouçamos com detalhes absolutamente todos os barulhos do vizinho. O despertador, as conversas, o banheiro... A gentileza e eficácia da equipe é incomum, sobretudo no Rio de Janeiro.

Pela sua excelente localização, merecia melhor conservação, e recepcionistas mais simpaticas.

Hotel Sencillo, sin grandes lujos pero es lo que se ve en las fotos. Buen acceso al mar y servicio en general, ubicado en zona tranquila de Rio (Leblon).

gostei do hotel, da localização ,do serviço, da atençao dos funcionários, só tenho a dizer que o quarto é carpetadoe este esta com cheiro desagradavel, e as janelas não abrem por motivo de segurança, me disse um funcionário.Assim fica dificil ficar no quarto e curtir a vista maravilosa .

el hotel tiene mantenimiento de muy baja calidad, los grijos de los baños estaban rotos, y el estado general da la impresión de muy viejo . Las fotos de las habitaciones no concuerdan.

O Hotel conta com uma ótima infraestrutura e todos os seus colaboradores estão treinamentos e orientados à alcançar a satisfação total de seus hóspedes.

Otima localizacao, bons restaurantes nas redondezas,praia limpa . Nota-se que o hotel estah passando por uma restauracao mais do que necessaria. Afinal,eh o unico da praia do Leblon, muito bem situado.
