I was very disappointed in the fact that the RICHMOND hotel was quite dirty and old. The furniture in the room had to be over 30 years old, uncomfortable and dirty. The bathroom was clean, but the rest of the room felt dirty, perhaps because the furniture was old and ratty. The lobby was very dirty. The outside of the hotel needed some trash pick up and gardening. I will admit that the dining area was clean and the food was wonderful & the food service was good. Location was central to most Copenhagen things...walking distance to Central Station. Many other hotels on the block that would have been nicer to stay in, however.

Well in some ways you get what you pay for...slightly cramped bathroom, no in-room safe, and rather thin walls between rooms. However, you cant beat the location, the helpful friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price for Denmark. We have stayed at several hotels in Copenhagen ranging from 3 to 5 stars and this is the first time that we have actually had a room where the 2 twin beds placed together to form a double bed didn't migrate during the night.

The breakfast is one of the better in Copenhagen.

It's convenient to stay in but no parking lot was provided and I had to pay for parking fee every night.

The Richmond Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen if you're on a budget. With free Wi-FI, a fantastic breakfast and clean if outdated bedrooms (but with very comfy beds) it was perfect for our needs.

My friends and I had stayed in the hotel for four nights, the hotel gave us comfort everyday. The location is great, near Forum Metro station and central station, the room is clean, the network is fast and the breakfast is the best!!! I already miss the rich delicious breakfast.

This is an overall good hotel with excellent informed helpful front desk service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and served through to 10am. Lots of choice. The hotel rooms whilst clean with all necessary amenities do need a refurbish. Batroom good with good shower and plenty of hot water. Wireless internet was good and free. Location in a commercial street with some traffic close to an exceelent deli style market . Five minutes walk from the Town Hall and old town and within five minutes of the Central rail station.

This is an inexpensive hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Central Railwaystation. The staff is friendly and the hotel in general ok. Minus for a claustrofobic shower and for the breakfast. Dry bread and too little variation for my liking. The price taken into consideration it is nevertheless a hotel well worth the pay. I will be staying here again.

Good breakfast included in price. Slightly rundown hotel but decent. Stains on walls in our room (coffee?) that were very easy to wipe off. Shower drainage flooded easily, probably needs to be cleared. Nice helpful staff. All in all a decent hotel but nothing Above average, 3/5

A greate hotel and a verry nice stuff. Diverse and tasty breakfast. The Hotel position is good, close to all tourist point.

CLEAN PLEASANT HOTEL, WITH NICE STAFF, THEY RECOGNIZED ME FROM MY PRIOR STAY. NEAR TRAIN STATION AND ALL SITES...CENTRALLY LOCATED. SERVES GOOD DANISH BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING. REASONABLY PRICED. MANY BUSINESS PEOPLE STAY HERE AS WELL AS SCANDINAVIAN TOURISTS, WHICH INDICATES THAT THIS IS A GOOD BUY FOR EUROPEANS.

We reserved a room for the Richmond Hotel, but Hotels.com overbooked the hotel. Richmond is located in the central part of Copenhagen and is about a five to 10 minute walk from the train station. At first we weren't happy about having to go to another hotel because Richmond didn't have space for us, but they paid for our taxi to the other hotel and we ended up staying in the very best hotel in all of Copenhagen (Marriott). It was a lovely room, with an extremely comfortable bed, excellent service and one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Period. We would have been happy with Richmond and instead were surprised with an exceptional room. The woman at Richmond who helped us was very nice and helped us promptly.

Me and my brother in law stayed there as we attended Sensation Copenhagen.. It was a very nice stay for one night with a nice and inviting breakfast buffet. BUT think its not okay to remove the breakfast buffet 20 min. before 11 a.m., when the restaurant..!!! Not that we didn't miss the breakfast, but other hotel guests did, and I think you can't allow that, as you pay for breakfast, and it should be available in the time from 7 - 11 as your'e told when you check in..!

We stayed 3 nights at the Richmond Hotel. Enjoyed the included breakfast bar every morning. The room was comfortable and good for sleeping. The hotel is only minutes away from Raadhuspladsen and thus close to many attractions. Walking distance to the Main Railway Station and even closer to the local commuter train "S-Tog". Will stay at Richmond Hotel on our next visit to Copenhagen and recommend it to family and friends

My advice is to ask for a room away from the main street--there is no air-conditioning in this hotel and if you need to open the window, the rooms over the street are very noisy.

I chose to stay at Richmond Hotel for one night before a flight out of Copenhagen. I had to wait a little while in the lobby because I got there way before check-in time, but the atmosphere was nice and the free WiFi worked great. I did end up checking in about an hour early, which was nice! The room was a good size for just me, but it could have easily been split by two. The WiFi was a little off-and-on in the room, but nothing unmanageable. It was quite noisy outside my window though, but I was on the main street side of the building (but better views!) I wanted to keep fresh air in the room so I just kept the window opened and dealt with the city sounds of the trains, cars, and nightlife. But it's right in the heart of the city! So I didn't expect complete peace and quiet. I would definitely recommend this for a short or long stay with one or two people!

A good hotel in a good location with a good breakfast!!!

The Richmond is located just off the main centre of Copenhagen, close to the Tivoli Gardens which are about 15 mins walk. It feels safe at night to walk around there. Nice hotel, not huge, friendly staff. Rooms are basic but well done with comfy beds and pillows. Our room was very clean. They have wetroom type bathrooms which are good with powerful showers but no baths (unless on request?). I'd stay there again. The buffet breakfast is very good with a huge selection.

Pros: Friendly and helpfull staff. Good breakfast buffet. Location is close to a variety of sites and attractions. Cons: No AC in the room. It was so hot in the room we had to open the window and try to sleep to the sound of the traffic outside. The beds were uncomfortable and the linen/covers were uncomfortable. The TV didn't work. The first room they gave us hadn't been cleaned and we had to switch rooms. Overall: Copenhagen is expensive, but we paid $200 a night for our room and I don't think we got our money's worth, not by a long shot. PS: Don't go to Tivoli Gardens unless you have young kids. It's boring.

Within walking distance of most sights we wanted to see. TIVOLI and Stroget, the car free shopping zone, are about 5 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast each morning was one of the best we've encountered. The price for the room was quite reasonable. A great place to stay waiting for our cruise ship.

Hotel is exactly what you want for a place to sleep. No luxuries, but perfect location to see copenhagen. Clean, courteous and basic

we had a great time , we will stay at hotel again , staff were very friendly

It was unusually warm when we were in Copenhagen, so that does effect this rating. The room was warm and stuffy with only a small fan to get the air moving. The breakfast available in the dining room, only open foy breakfast, was pretty good. Many places to eat within a few blocks, lots of attractions in the area and Tivoli only a few blocks away. Bathroom was clean, but we found the setup strange and not very user friendly.

...the hotel was so close to vesterport station (1 minute walk), which is one stop away from the main Copenhagen train station. This is also closer to the downtown area. 5-10 minute walk.. Very helpful reception

Great location - walk to Tivoli, Central Station. Clean, well maintained, Sitting room and bedroom, free wi-fi, good complementary breakfast. Would stay there again.

Hotel room was adequate. Somewhere between a Motel 6 and a Super 8. I don't think Americans, even poor ones, have any idea how good they have it here in America.

The hotel is in an excellent location to access the train station, hire cars and not too far to wander into the heart of town. The bar consists of a couple of bottles of spirits behind reception that are only available after 4pm so either pick a drink up on route to the hotel (Netto's at the corner of the street) or have a drink at a local bar. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom is compact and do make sure nothing is left on the bathroom floor when showering as it will get washed away to the drain. The reception staff were very helpful and can speak at least 5 languages (English was excellent). Breakfast wasn't included in our stay but we did buy one mornings worth, it was stocked with full continental from dainish pastries to yogurt and had a selection of hot food also. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Close to local transportation, tourist sites etc. Breakfast was good in hotel, room great, beds comfortable.

Located conveniently near to a train station, and also within walking distance of the central station. Close to Tivoli and the main "walking street" in the centre of the city. Staff friendly - happy to offer advice of where to go and what to see. Room was basic but comfortable. A little too hot and no apparent way to change temperature but it made a refreshing change following the cold outside. If you are looking for just a bed to sleep in close to the action; highly recommended!

The hotel was in a good location from the Central Train Station, walked it in 15 mins with two children and lugage! Very close to Tivioli Gardens and stop for the Hop On and Hop Off bus. Breakfast was good. We had room 407 which was good for 2 children and 2 adults but could do with a make-over. Beds were clean. Staff very friendly. Only negative really was the decor, a bit shabby.

All and all it was a good hotel for the price in a relatively convenient location. I would stay there again in the future.

The room was clean, the carpeting was old and worn out. It was pricey compared to our standards but for Copenhagen it was average price. Busy street so if you are to be there in warm weather with the windows open it would be noisy. The breakfast included in the price of the room was good. People at the desk were pleasant and helpful. The internet was a pain to use.

Our location was just fine, the hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast became boring after the fourth day, but it was good, had variety, and was tasty. The only complaint I had was the Internet.....we had to stand to use it, but that certainly kept the useage to short times................never too long a wait to use. The only problem we had dealt with the sidewalk between the hotel and the metro. It is NOT good for pullling a suitcase on wheels. It is cobbled, rough and somewhat congested. If handling a large amount of luggage, get a cab!

This was a very nice hotel with a luxurious reception area with free internet and comfortable areas to sit. The room was a good size and clean with free tea/ coffee, etc which was welcomed after travelling with rucksacks. the hotel was less than 5 minutes walk from the main train station, Tivoli amusements and the main city centre. Everything you need from a hotel.

Its a 2 1/2 star hotel with a 4 star feel & size... however because its missing central A/C it cant be a 4 star.
