Ramada Inn Waukegan Gurnee - وكيجان

We went to our room and walked back out. There was mold and exposed pipes i the bathroom. The room had a bad odor as well.

Adequate room since not much time was spent in it. Came back from son's graduation and lifted the toilet seat and there was a large ant under the seat! That isn't what I paid for!

For the price, it truly was PERFECT!! If I had to ding anything, it would be that I wished for a small refrigerator in the room. I know that some of the rooms had a refrigerator so I am guessing based on the price I paid, the refrigerator was not an option! The continental breakfast was really beyond my expectations!! Thank you guys for such a wonderful stay!!

I was expecting something better than what I saw. This hotel was rated 3 stars, carpet was old, room smelled, walking around was like a maze but the beds were very comfortable. I would give this a 2 to 2 1/2 star not a 3 star.

The hallways were dark and dated. The lobby was recently renovated so maybe the rest of the building will follow? The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The bed was uncomfortable and there were several times during my stay that people were yelling in the halls or in the next room.

The family room was perfect for the 6 of us. The kids enjoyed the large pool. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was very inviting for us Navy families attending graduation.

would not recommend this hotel to other guests coming to this area..

The bathroom light didn't work. There was blood on the toilet seat. There were several large hair clots in the tub.

Loved the big room! Breakfast was great!!!! The pool area was ok and the restaurant needed more entertainment for the weekend. Our stay was quick but would reccomend this hotel to friends and family.

I was a little worried because the outside of the building looked run-down but the rooms were comfortable and the staff was helpful & accomodating! The pool, hot tub, and sauna were nice but it took a while to walk there :(

hallways smelled like a dirty diaper n was very stuffy n hot. it was good for the location n breakfast if u don't mind the basics waffles cereal donuts bagels n boiled eggs n juices n coffee.. the shuttle for the naval graduation was a big time bonus n the welcoming of the parent to graduation was very nice n unexpected the free drink was a big bonus too.. hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel was run down, and not the cleanest. Pool was swamped with children. There was no relaxing in the hot tub. Too many unsupervised kids. And I felt disgusting after sitting in it....didn't trust if it was clean. Halls stunk. Ceiling tiles were gross. Cobwebs in the bathroom. First they gave us had already had someone in it and apparently, they too, asked for a better room. Staff were nice tho. And kids enjoyed the breakfast. Our 2nd room was okay. Not so terrible we wudnt stay, but for what we paid, we wudnt go back.

This is a dump! The smell is terrible! I had to put a towel over my nose to get to my room but once in the room, had to buy fabreez just to sleep. It's old and not worth it! Find somewhere else...trust me!

Rooms very ok. Beds very comfy room was clean enough. People in some rooms had music blarring and very very loud and were not reprimanded or kept blarring music and laughing and partying if they were reprimanded. Very annoying hard to sleep with kids running through halls all the time.

I was disappointed that the walls were so "thin" and that you could hear everything said in the next room.Also-the toilet kept breaking.

Sue Hovey the Manager was very accommodating.Everything we asked for was promptly executed. Thank you so much Ramada and Sue. Love coming back to my Hometown and visiting. Also, so glad to see our Military Families staying here also. I will be back soon. Thanks Much

didn't liuke the faucet in the bathroom, and there is no fan.

I was very disappointed, I needed an upgrade in which they had 2 rooms available, but since I prepaid I did not qualify to get them. The room only had one lamp with working light bulbs, I ask to have the light bulbs in the other 2 lamps, they said they would take care of it and didn't. Wanted to use the suana and hot tub those were the perks that made me choose the hotel, however, they were out of order. Went swimming as soon as the swimming pool opened, there were no towels. Just the worst stay I've ever encountered.

The cleanliness and comfort of the room were very nice. The location was convenient to where we were going, to our son's graduation from boot camp. One thing I think you should change is that the person who checks you in, we checked in early in the morning, 6:30, was dressed in pajama pants and a t-shirt, I think she should be dressed in a more professional way, no matter what time of the day it is. When we checked out, around 11:00, the front desk attendant was dress very appropiate for the hotel. We were also booked into a non-smoking section of the hotel, as I was told by the front desk, but the people next to us were smoking in their bathroom and the smoke came through the vents into our bathroom. On Friday night when we got back from the graduation, the smell was really bad, we put on the fan and left it on, I literately had to cover my nose and mouth everytime I went into the bathroom. I called and complained and they told me they would take care of it right away, but an hour later, I walked into the bathroom and the smoke smell was really strong. We left the fan on all night, so that it would not effect my asthma, and it help, by the next morning the smell was less. We left for the day on Saturday and left the fan on all day. For the rest of our stay the smell had stopped.

Bad cat urine smell in a few hallways. Generally dirty hallways. Pool and hot tub was nice though. Had a bad experience on Sat. night with roudy partying close to our room. We had to get up early to meet our graduating sailor from Naval base and the hotel did not evict the group until after 1:30a.m. We had to get up at 6:00a.m.!!! We called the desk 3 times between 10:20pm. and 1:15 a.m. to complain about noise and not getting any rest. Did get a refund for the one night but it left a big sour note at the of our trip.

the title says it all-- however, the pool and hot tub were clean. We were kept awake by the folks in the next room- the walls are like paper-- our neighbors were not being that loud-- we could just hear everything. The hotel restaurant had amazing food but very high prices.

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE HOTEL EVER! IT SHOULD BE A MOTEL. I WAS SO DISGUSTED of this hotel I didn't even stay the night matter of fact I wasn't there no more than 5 minutes. I turn right back around. It's very very outdated, it has a musty smell in the room, I sat on the bed & it crunch, & the hotel lighting inside & outside is very dark. All within 5 minutes. I called & told the management about how disappointed I was about the hotel & he didn't care. If looking for the Gurnee area not closed to the Mall go elsewhere Ramada will never get my business again I will not recommend this hotel no one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Hotel was a little rundown.towels smelt like bleach. Great continental breakfast though. I don't recommend a room with double beds a lot different room from the queen beds.I booked a total of 8 nights through hotels.com and needed to stay an extra night they wouldn't give me the same rate even though hotel was empty.

The hotel staff was awful. The hotel was in major need of being updated. The pool was huge but cold. The hot tub was nice but not very hot. The sauna was broken. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Not somewhere I would ever stay again. Cable went out while we were there. Check in was at 3 our room was not clean and front desk could not contact housekeeping to find out when rooms would be available so I had to search for housekeeping so we could check in at 430. I am a breastfeeding mother and needed to find my son so until the room was available they gave me a key to the conference room which had a table covered with food and drinks and garbage on the floor.

The hotel was under construction while I was there, which made it seem unappealing when you walked into the lobby... The hallways had an odor as well as the room, however, it wasn't that bad. Overall, it was an OK hotel for the amount that I paid. I would recommend searching a little more before settling on this hotel.

had problems trying to enter any door other then the front due to weather affecting the slide key access. maybe should be covered better. Staff is friendly over all.

Horrible, Horrible!!!!! This was not a four star hotel. More like a no star!

I grew up in Zion and have stayed at the Ramada years ago. It looks as if they haven't modeled the rooms in MANY years. Burn holes on sinks and tub. Iron had melted stuff on it. Coffee pot had material coming out of it. Hot tub was broken, pool was freezing. Entire hotel was cold, staff at breakfast had a coat and gloves on. Hotel had an oder. I will never go back to this location.

the pictures were deceiving. It had an awful odor to it. Staff was friendly but the hotel itself was dirty and outdated. i wouldn't stay again for as much as it costed.

Id stay there again, but had some issues with cleanliness. We had one towel that was full of hair. The downstairs hallway stunk of smoke and seen some spiders in stairway and by entry. We had a king room and didn't have a fridge in it. The common areas like the front desk, bar, and restaurant were all very nice. Huge pool! Overwhelming service at the restaurant. This hotel needs some updating, but for the common low budget traveler its a good stay.

The hotel was very clean, however, I would classify it as a "motel" not a "hotel". The amenities listed were by far exaggerated. The space was very small with no place in the bathroom for toiletries. The facility is 2 story with no elevator. Carrying heavy suitcases upstairs was not fun. The gym consisted of 1 treadmill and 2 bikes. The business center consisted of 1 very old and very slow computer. I would not consider this a good value for the price. The employees were very nice and helpful, however, there were only 2 people at the counter. No bellhops etc.

Its an good place to stay. They met every request I had. They were friendly. The Rooms are nice and clean. When I go back to Waukegan that's where I will stay again.

Rooms were clean but the walls are very thin and you could hear the people next to you and in the halls. You could also hear the people above you walking around.

very nice and friendly amosphere nice and clean. food could improve a little better. but all around, I would stay there againl.

The hotel was clean, close to Six Flags, and the staff got us right in our room! The room we stayed in was big, and it didn't take long to fall fast asleep in a comfortable bed. The breakfast didn't have too many options but that wasn't a huge drawback. Coffee was good :) The pool, hot tub, and sauna were really nice amenities. I'd recommend staying here, for the price you can't beat it!

The hotel is old and smells pretty bad, The only reason we stayed it was becsuse it was close to the Naval Station, but you get what you paid. There are better hotels by the area

We had a wonderful stay at the Ramada we stayed at. When we arrived they gave us a ground floor room that was located away from the pool. I asked if they had something closer to the pool so that my husband wouldn't have to try to walk so far because he has difficulty walking. Without hesitation they looked and found a room that was just around the corner from the pool, and gladly changed my room for me. They had many choices at the free breakfast that came with the room rental. I will stay here again when I visit. Excellent Service!!! If I had to make any suggestions to change something I would just say that the room was a little dark, maybe it needs a new color update but it was very clean.

Toilet ran all the time, had to constantly jiggle the handle. Room didn't get cool enough. Pleasant staff, good breakfast, great location.
