not bad stayed a couple of days more

An older hotel, but clean and very close to temple square and shopping. Very inexpensive, nice little continental breakfast. The only downside was the noise, where it's an outside opening people seem to feel free to yell to each other in the parking lot late into the night.

Needs remodel. Price was great and the room served it's purpose.

We find this motel service above average than most of the others like motel 6 and less expensive. Very clean room, friendly reception. We will focus on this hotel on our next trips.

There was no hot water my first day, so I couldn't shower. The only set of working outlets were located over the sink, which is where the alarm clock was placed, and behind the TV. I had to go inside the toilet reservoir to release the stopper, which got stuck, from the chain. The light switch at the front door not only turned off the light, but also the refrigerator. So storing food in the fridge would be a bad idea if housekeeping turns off that switch.

For the part of town, I thought they where very professional and helpful. I would recommend to anyone for an affordable well kept place to stay. In my opinion, the best by far in the N. temple area! It is now my personal hotel down town. No need to try anymore local hotel's!

The young lady at the check in was less than helpful and was screaming on the phone and being very unprofessional. The place was dirty and it was just not great. It was two beds in a room. That's about it.

For the price it's to expensive, it's no hotel, its like a motel, drinking people, smoking outside the rooms, broken furniture, the carpet its dirty, the toilet was loose, neer it's motel for $39.99

Free shuttle to convention center was excellent. Breakfast was really satisfying. WIFI had weak signal. Overall good stay for the price.

The room is great but the outside surround there is a bunch of people hanging around toward the back of the Econo Lodge. It turns me off because they think it's a playground.

Although relatively inexpensive I expected a little more than what we received. The hotel desperately needs updating. The towel I used was shredded on one end. There is no insulation between rooms. The person next to us got in the shower very early in the morning and the noise was so loud in our room it woke both my husband and I up. And, there was a constant noise from something either above us or from the ice machine which was right outside our room. I did not think it was worth the price.

great value hotel. clean and professional. the staff was friendly and professional. the bed was comfortable. one power outlet did not work. seemed very well managed, staff had a proactive attitude. the internet service was not reliable. right across the street from a great restaurant, and a block from a light rail station. it's not a four star hotel, but if you just need a clean comfortable and affordable place to stay, this is a good choice.

The room was very noisey due to the walls not well insulated. The A/C unit was broken and very noisy had to shut it off to sleep. when called the front desk for help, his reply was that he is the only attendent on duty. The hotel need to maintain their room equpments for guests comfort.

It was fine. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. Unfortunately, the hotel needs paint, repairs and could use an update. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy as were some of my fellow guests. Other wise, I would say it wasn't too bad.

The shower was like waterfall. The air-condition was also loud. can even heard the next door's air-con.

The best thing about this motel was the staff. They were very kind and understanding of our needs.

No problems at all. nice room, clean towels and nothing bothered.

Everything was good, except for the truckers talking loudly outside our room in the middle of the night..

Got in at midnight after driving for eight hours. Their night time receptionist was slightly disconcerting. The room was made up but felt dirty. Shower curtain was torn to shreds. Sheets were stained. Bottom line: you get what you pay for.

IT was ok. The young man at the front desk was great . He has great costumer service skills.

The lock on my door didn't work . The breakfast wasn't up till almost 7 and the people behind the counter are in no hurry to wait on you.

Very personable staff and attentive service. Older hotel in older neighborhood, but clean and comfy room (with some updates), within 10 minute walk of Energy Solutions Arena and Gateway mall. Neighborhood is older, gentrified Hispanic area, with good local mom-and-pop restaurants within 5 minute walking distance - and it IS safe, despite some paranoid reviews. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Great value. Only minor drawback - freeway access/egress takes a little figuring out, but not too tough.

Will never stay again!

Got to rooms for $49 on a special. I was not expecting much. For the price it was a great deal

They helped me find out about the traffic for the drive ahead and weather information. Very nice!

It was cheap, so I really didn't expect much, but I'd say it wasn't quite worth even the low rate we paid. Positives: the hotel staff was quite friendly and willing to help. The door to our room wouldn't lock (because someone had tampered with it so they could gain re-entry), so they quickly switched us to a different room. They did a good job of keeping breakfast items stocked so they didn't run out of anything. The location was convenient for us. Negatives: the hotel is clearly old and run down. Our first room's lock had been tampered with (someone jammed it with plaster so it wouldn't lock), so that was unnerving. The walls are thin so you hear everything going on outside your door (there were some loud voices around 4:00am one night). The TV was old and several of the channels didn't work. The room was small so it felt cramped.

The room was pretty standard - clean, well-maintained, plenty of hot water (and shower pressure...although the shower head's about 5'5"), and a great air conditioning/heating system. The breakfast's pretty standard as well - juice, coffee, muffins, and a bunch of different bread products. What wasn't standard was the INCREDIBLE service. I arrived outside of their shuttle hours, and they offered to cover the tab for my taxi. They also let me check in super early. And, on my last day (while I was rushing to make it downtown), they offered to use the airport shuttle to drive me there (no cost, of course). These people do all they can to make it a good stay!

It was near my meeting location, but we couldn't turn left out of the parking lot onto the street (towards my meeting). The door hinges squeaked (seems like no one knows how to oil a hinge these days!) The room was comfortable, but probably cleaned by short people -- there was some very clean-able dirt/hair, etc. in the bathroom (tub), higher than short people would be able to see. The bed was delightfully comfortable.

Worst hotel I've stayed at in 20 years.

The pipes connected to all water activity in the building are severely creaky. Anytime a toilet was flushed or a faucet ran, a continuous loud tap would start in the ceiling and throughout the building and would last for ten minutes at a time, which is very often when it is triggered by the entire building. I am a very heavy sleeper yet this still kept me waking all night long. Around five in the morning came when a crowd of people chose to wait outside our doorway for the city bus, because we were located near the busy street and office. For almost an hour they loudly conversed and banged around while smoking cigarettes on the stoop of our non-smoking room. Needless to say with the combo between these two I managed to arise feeling more tired and less rested than before I had "gone to sleep". This was my first experience with any Econo Lodge, but I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE!

I couldn't stay there. I ended up going to the Radisson down the street. It was dark and dingy. First room I looked at reeked of smoke. Very old bedspreads on the beds. It was a compete waste of money.

Room smelled and was unclean. Bedding smelled sour and was very obviously dirty. Bathroom and shower was dirty and not maintained. Toilet continuously ran and show barely worked. I make trips to Salt Lake City often and I will never stay in this hotel again. DISGUSTING!

Convenient location. Close to the mall & concert venues. This is were I stay when I visit Salt Lake City.
