Overall a nice hotel. The following conditions should be corrected: - Bell boy service, ramp or elevator to bring heavy bags to second floor level. - Carpet near air conditioner was always wet - Continental Bkfst needs improvement

you can stay here for a reasonable price. the area seems very safe, with anything you may need not too far from here. some of the rooms could use a facelift (bathrooms esp.) but are always tidy. I stay here 2-3 times a year for 2-4 nights each time, and have never had any issue they couldn't resolve.(once there was a problem with a lock, it was fixed immediately) Staff runs from very helpful/ friendly-busy and polite. I know I'll be back :-)

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The facilities look good. The only problem is that our stay was until early on Saturday. On Friday nights they have a "Bahama's Night" at the location. The front of the hotel lobby is packed with people and cars even though it was 4:00 in the morning. It was quite a hassle to just drive off the property. Something should be done about people who just leave their cars unattended in front of the hotel. The noise is also a bit of a problem on Fridays nights. Other than that, the hotel is good.

Did not smell well, dirty musty smell. The try to rep like it is a Spa/Resort. It is more designed for a couple of guys that want to shack up in a chaep room during a golfing weekend.

This place is an exercise in deferred maintenance. The only reason to stay here is proximity to other business / family. Rooms are musty, I got bit by something in bed, they couldn't be bothered to replace Styrofoam cups when doing room service, I didn't get a bath mat during one room service, and I had to replace the printer ink cartridges before I could print my boarding pass in the business center. This is my second time staying there.

Had a wonderful experience. I happened to check in on Friday which coincided with the First Friday's Party that they have at the hotel. It was wonderful and the people were super friendly. Larry at the front desk was especially helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will more than likely stay there again.

I have no serious problems with the hotel. It was ok for a 2 night stay. My only complaint was the ac in the room. Even at 60 it was still hot. It was not cool at all. Pretty decent area. But for the price I find it to be a little too much for the quality.

I thought for the money the hotel room was very good. The staff was very helpful and accomodating.

Hotel location and grounds are very nice. Close to where I had to be but thats about the only good attributes this hotel offers Was supposed to be there for 6 nights but after the second night and 3 very large uninvited bugs it was time to check out. Had to move rooms twice, once on the day of check in because the AC was not working properly. Second time was when i stepped on this large brown bug in the bathroom, killing him and then met his cousin in the bedroom. They moved me to suite but told me it wasnt ready till later in the day. When i moved in there it smelled from bug spray and could not take to odor. So off to the front desk again and told them i was checking out. Rooms are in desperate need of refurbishing. So think twice before you book here.

Not Bad. A Golf Course trying to be a resort. Remember, its in Florida. Cock Roaches in the room are the norm here. Hotel management didn't care when I brought it up. Only claiming that they sprayed for them a few days earlier,

We stayed here for just one night, and would have loved to stay longer. Our room had a beautiful view of the golf course. It was very quiet (off season) and felt very safe. Great for a romantic getaway.

I did not come here to play golf, but rather to care for an ill parent. I also had to do work, and chose this place because of location and its advertised wireless Internet service. The wireless signal was almost non-existent. All the first night's front desk person could do was say: "All I know is the wireless password. I can't help." The next day, a front desk person gave me an Ethernet over powerline adapter to use, and acknowledged they had problems. However, the problem was not just with connectivity to their router, but with connectivity to the net itself. I changed out DNS servers, etc., but to no avail. Connectivity was only in bursts of 30 seconds to a minute, followed by 10-15 minutes of inability to reach any web site, do an nslookup, ping a known pingable IP address, traceroute, etc. So basically I was out of luck for the entire week as far as getting any work done. At checkout, the front desk person acknowledged they had problems with the Internet. This place should not be advertised as having Internet. Anyone depending on it will be out of luck. Other than that, the rooms are spartan, but clean. I have a pretty sensitive olfactory sense, and I would not put clean clothes in any of the drawers because of a mildew scent -- this may not have been offensive to most people, and it is a fact of life in a humid climate. I think the mildew smell was exacerbated by the cleaning staff's habit of turning off the room's AC, so the rooms themselves become humid. Also, when it's 102 degrees and 99% humidity outside, and you come in from a thunderstorm, finding that your room is 80 degrees and very humid is not fun. Other than location, there is no reason why I would stay here again.

This hotel is dated, but it was wonderful for my family of four and me for 8 nights. We stayed in a spacious two room suite with a (not super comfy) sofa bed overlooking the great pool. Our rate was great from hotels.com. It included a nice breakfast - eggs, french toast, Belgian waffles, cereal, juices, coffee. Most of the staff was very friendly, especially our maid Tiffany and Linda, our breakfast server. We will stay there again as we have family down the road. I had read the reviews and was glad we had a good experience. I get the sense that this was a swank place in 1985 and now it is an adequate accommodation. Adequate was great for me. We weren't looking for a full service marriott-style resort. Though the guys played golf, The kids loved the pool. We had a nice fridge, minibar sink, microwave. It was perfect for the price. Had I paid more, I would have expected newer linens, and a little updating, but not much else.

THE ROOMS NEED TO BE UPDATE BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IT DO NOT FIT THE AREA.

Bad experience

i enjoyed my stay so much when i return i will be staying again.it was quiet and clean and the front desk staff were very polite and very helpful.staying @ grand palms was wonderful.

The Room Service was Fast .. but the Food was below the standards of a Greasy Spoon... the Pool was Filthy and the Deck Chairs were too dirty to sit on .. was not anywhere near a 3 star hotel .. Lucky to rank a 2... also .. the WiFi connection was poor at best .. even with the addapter they provided.. so, all in all ... Nothing Special Here! will Only stay here again .. if other options are not possible

The photo looked great on the internet after an $80 dollar taxi - I would not stay here again

good: -nice pool -beautiful landscaping -very friendly staff -nice continental breakfast -good location...close to many restaurants/bars...not close to the beach though for those looking to hit the beach. -very safe area. bad: -bathroom was in need of remodeling. old wallpaper and unclean tile. -air conditioner only kept half of room cool. other half seemed 5-10 degrees warmer. -thin walls.

WONDERFUL STAY QUIET SURROUNDING ACESSABLE HWY,SHOPPING MALL AND RESTAURANTS CLEAN ROOM .YES I WOULD STAY AGAIN AND AGAIN WHENEVER I'M IN SFLORIDA JUST LOVE IT.

Needs lots of work/upgrades. I wouldn't call it a "resort" Disappointed. Tiki bar next to the pool only open on weekends. I was there Tues - Thurs. so no poolside drinks for me. Wanted a late dinner, but restaurant closed at 9pm. They offer room service, but it's not 24/7. Closed at 9pm. What "resort" closes it kitchen and room service at 9pm?! Front desk was helpful. Needed to change rooms. The first room was on the first floor, back side of the building and smelled like mildew. New room was ok. On the 2nd floor which made me and my 12year old daughter feel a little safer. But, no elevator, so we had to lug our bags up the stairs to the room. Had back surgery in Oct. so this was no fun. If all you want is a cheap place to lay down at night, then you're ok. If you're looking for more, then this is not the place!!

I've stayed at Grand Palms a few times, on business. I dont know about the actual spa or golf amenities, but the grounds are nice, the architecture is appealing and the restaurant food is pretty good. Unless something changes, I'll continue to use them for overnight stays when in the area. I wouldnt recommend staying here if you have plans on the coast. Traffic is a nightmare all over Broward & Dade counties. But I guess if you are looking for a reasonably-priced golf/spa resort, this is as good as any other.

The rooms need renovation. If you get a good deal for this hotel then it's well worth it.

While I read the review of the hotel before I booked the room, I was finding it hard to believe some of the comments until I personally experienced the stay first hand. I found the outside apparence of the hotel very nice and wanted to believe that a "spa and Golf Resort" had to be a nice place to stay. Here was my experience. Arrived Wednesday night, 11:55 PM, to a second floor room. The room was quite warm so after turning on the A/C unit, it took until 6 AM for the room to cool down. I went to take a shower and the shower head released water that can only be described as "no water pressure". We left the room Thursday around 12:45 PM. Upon returning, the room was very clean and orderly. We placed the Red, "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and when we left Friday at 1:00 PM, we place the Blue "Please Clean Room" sign on the door. Upon returning Friday night at nidnight, we found the room was not touched. No one came in and serviced the room. I called the front desk and complained to the clerk and he wanted to know if I want to change rooms. I declined and stated that I just want the management to be aware and to make sure it gets cleaned tomorrow. Saturday we left at 1:00 PM and again placed the Blue "Please Clean Room" sign on the door. Upon return on Saturday evening, at midnight, the room was not cleaned again. I called the front desk and the clerk apologized and asked me if I want a new room. I accepted and was given a suite. After moving all our clothes from room 242 we were now at the suite or 404. The suite was quite nice and large. I open the armoire and pulled out a drawer and the drawer fell out. So did the next one below it. Obviously no one checks the drawers to ensure they are in working order. The A/C was great, must better than the regular A/C for the rooms. Upon leaving Sunday morning at 1:00 PM, we again placed the blu "Please Clean Room" sign on the door. When we returned the room was cleaned and orderly. My overall experience with the hotel

The room was ok, the TV and the channels need to be updated. The internet did not work properly and I could not sign on in the morning. The breakfast that they provided was marginal and was not kept up very well, so I ordered from the menu. The place is convenient in a nice area, and is a golf resort, which I like. The stay was comfortable but nothing outstanding!

rooms and service could of been better also the employees need to have a better attitude not being sarcastic and saying no its closed about the spa when we had just called and they said it was open till 10 pm and room service closed @ 8pm when we were told it closed @ 10 first so i get there about 8pm and try to order and the said it was closed

This is a motel, not a resort. I've been a traveling sales guy for 30 years, and this is one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The wall unit air conditioner was so loud that I needed to step out of the room to use my mobile phone, and every time the compressor kicked on, it woke me up. When I got up to turn the unit to fan-only mode so that I wouldn't be awakened every half hour, the carpet was soaked. Because of the water, the electric circuit next to the AC unit (at floor level) shorted out leaving me without a needed plug for a laptop (I had a lot of work to do). I tried plugging in behind the bed, but the plug was hanging loose on a wire - real safety hazard. The wireless router worked, but there was no internet access, and no one could help. Cups are disposable and towels are thin. No covers - just a sheet and bed-spread. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bread and cold cereal - no fruit or meat. On the plus side, the grounds and people are nice, but I needed to sleep and work in this hotel which didn't work out at all.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions. The quality is going downhill fast. The breakfast is poor. The rooms smell, the parking is far away and the last time I was there for two nights I was transferred to three different rooms. I woke up one morning and had no water. The shower handle fell apart in my hands. I just will not go back.

please do not book this hotel never a 3 star is nasty and expensive

No refrigerator , no microwave ,bad air conditioner and parking too far from the rooms.

The location fit the purpose of our visit however the room was a disaster!!! so dirty, came out of the shower bare foot my feet were black. the beds are tiny I'm a 5.4" and my feet were hanging out so uncomfortable, so you can Imagine how my husband who's 5.11" felt. In the pictures online it looks a lot better than what it actually is. The Golf course is beautiful so that is the only good thing about this hotel. in my opinion this should be called a motel and not a hotel rates shouldn't exceed $40-$50 a night. so yeah Never again!!!!

Air conditioner unit was extremely noisy, had difficulty sleeping. Also Internet WIFI did not work.

Very nice hotel. It may be a little older but they keep it very nice. Only thing I would have liked would have been a refrigerator in the room but otherwise, very nice.

The hotel does not have any elevators and it is a far walk to the room from the parking lot. The bathroom needed to be recleaned which they did quickly when I checked in. Noone called to confirm that it was satisfactory. The same front desk clerk that did not know where or how far the beach was did not activate my hotel key access so I had to call since I had lugged all of my luggage to my timbucktu room and could not leave the luggage while I went to get the key reactivated. The room had a very nasty air freshner smell. The hotel has a beautiful pool which was not heated which was a surprise to the other front desk clerk - apparently it was usually heated, but not while I was there. I would not stay there again. I had some collegues that also needed a room and when they called on Sunday for the Monday stay they were told that there were plenty of rooms and they didn't need to make a reservation. Wow - that says it all.

The grounds were maintained very well. Beautiful swim pool. Nice people. Anything I asked to be cleaned / fixed was taken care of. Stayed for 3 nights and paid less than most other places I would have paid for 1. Very nice neighborhood ... close to food (Tavern Grill was awesome with great happy hour) Based on the price, I didn't expect a luxury place .... and feel I got what I paid for.

It was one of the greatest hotels I been too in awhile and I would recommend to all.

Rooms not well maintained or upgraded. Gold Couse in great shape. General areas in great condition. Parking not convinient to rooms, must take luggage up some stairs before reaching any room area. Location is good.
