The only complaint that I had during my stay was that my room (716 I think that was the room nbr) was behind the elevator shaft. So during quiet times I heard the elevator going up/dwn during the night.. I wished I had changed rooms but I didnt feel like packing up my belongings. I didnt get much rest.

All employees were extremely friendly and helpful. There was paper in the toilet when we arrived, which was unexpected due to the otherwise cleanliness of the room, and the service at the lobby bar was so slow that we left and went elsewhere. Otherwise, everything was great.

I had a great time. Although only there about 14 hours, I enjoyed a clean and comfortable room and had a lovely walk about the area Friday night.

The service is good, the hotel is showing its age and looks a bit "dingy", even in the Lobby, there are elements that are quite suprising. Looked for the GIDEON BIBLE in my night stand, but none, PC runs rampant either in PHILLY or Hilton-Gary Pittsburgh,PA USA

The hotel is conveniently located and has an easily accessible restaurant and grill on the premises...Staff is cordial and approachable. however- There was an alleged fire and we had to walk down 18 flights of stairs. The announcement that THIS IS A FALSE ALARM could not be heard in the fire towers. It was a frightening and avoidable experience.

A great hotel! When we arrived the kids were both given Easter baskets with chocolate in them...a super start! We were given a great room with two double beds and a sofa, a view up the main street and which was Immaculate. The guys in the bar were a little gruff but outside of this a great location, a great hotel and a great time was had!

Great street view from the 12th floor. All the kids cared about was the indoor pool :)

Very conveniently located to places of interest and restaurants. Friendly staff and good accomodations . I would stay here again.

ON the web it is stated that Wi Fi is free. However this is true only for the lobby.

Wonderful stay. Only complaint is doors slamming. They need to put something on doors to prevent slamming.

was put in a completley different room then what i expected. the room was way too small to even feel comfortable. and they would not put us in another one. service wasnt as good as i thought it would be. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone

my air conditioning unit was noisy and they fixed it promptly with a very nice repair man. Except for being next to the elevator, it was a great stay!

I took an unplanned trip to Philly with my two kids (10 and 13) and booked this hotel blind. What luck. Never mind the warm chocolate chip cookies we were given upon check in, the hotel staff was wonderful and so friendly. The room was basic, but clean. Perfect location in the center of town, and a block away from Max Brenners, the most amazing chocolate themed restaurant in the world (there are only 4 locations in the U.S.) I will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spent two days in Philadelphia for a get-away break. As we had tickets for a concert at the Kimmel Center, the location of this hotel was superb. I would defenitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone needing a room in Center City Philadelpia.

This is a very nice mid-range (not luxury) hotel in a great location. The room was clean, comfortable and had a great view. There are lots of interesting stores and restaurants within walking distance, and the Kimmel Center is just a block away. There were only a couple of things I didn't like: no refrigerator in the room and there is a charge for Internet access. Also, the pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. However, the overall price was very reasonable so given the location I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Philadelphia.

Location was excellent for theater and restuarant districts. Down the street from Big Ben. Rooms were spacious and beds were great. Swimming pool and hot tub were a bonus in February! Staff was very helpful and courteous - definitely would recommend this property.

The hotel was clean and nice to stay in with my family. The elevators are extremely slow and we used the steps most of our visit.

Our visit started out a little rocky when we were assigned a room right next to the elevator. It was very noisy and two different hotel staff refused to move us. We finally got the manager to move us but it shouldn't have been so hard. Also, we requested a king or queen bed but both of the rooms we were given had two double beds. The room was clean and comfortable and close to downtown and the theater district. There were lots of great restaurants nearby and a reasonable walk to the art museum (if you like to walk). It is not too close to Independence Hall though, but I knew that when I rented the room. Overall, I thought it was a good value and would return again.

I always like staying a the Doubletree in Center City because I always know I'm going to get a nice room at a good price, in a most convenient location. Not to mention, the cookies! It's all about the cookies!

The delicious warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival were a very nice touch! The pool and hot tub were great. Conveniently located in walking distance to some major sights. Ihop around the corner was key. Would definitely visit again if staying in town.

The hotel was awesome the staff was great ,parking was was excellent ,I had a room on the 21st fl with a beautiful view,,Im going to stay here again the next time I visit.

Great location,very clean

Didn't get the king bed I asked for, but not the end of the world. It was comfortable. Bathroom was a little dirty, but I am very very critical of such things and it was probably fine for the average person. It was quiet and convenient to the theatere district. Breakfast buffet was nice and the waitress very attentive.

We had a great time at the DoubleTree Hilton. Just wanted to get out of the Poconos and enjoy the city. The hotel has a great location and enjoyed a short walk to the car show.

Overall the hotel has great location and rooms are comfortable. In the particular weekend that I stayed the hotel was full and elevators were a problem, especially on Sunday when my daughter had to come down walking from the 7th floor carrying her heavy stuff. Food in the cafe could improve althought the waiters were very nice--compensate for the so so food. Wine was expensive, $10 ofr a malbec glass of wine.

Great location. Two blocks from City Hall on Broad street, right across the street from several theaters. Walking distance to pretty much everything. Request the rooms with the two queens and pull out bed, and you should get one of the corner rooms that overlook Broad street. Will definitely go back again.

ten dollars for wifi? there are cheaper hotels that offer free wifi

Convenient location to catch Subway to Wells Fargo Center.

Bedrooms comfortable, great view of Broad street and city hall. The bathroom ceiling was peeling, neede some work. Great restaurant. Pool was small and was in same room as the jacuzzi so the air was stifling hot. Nice gym and sauna. Great location, can walk to restaurants, theatre and parks in Philly.

We wanted to stay near Rittenhouse Square because of other things we wanted to do, so this hotel was in a great location for walking around. My only complaint was that my husband and I requested a room with one king bed and had to have a room with two double beds (but this is not the end of the world). The staff was friendly and the bed was comfy, so we were happy!

This was my first time at a DoubleTree by Hilton and it was truly amazing The service was great, the room incredibly clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Check-in was a nightmare, we waited in the lobby for three hours waiting to get into our room. For whatever reason, they do not have enough luggage carts so we had to stand in the lobby with our many parcels and bags with nowhere to store them. The staff was very nice but they were clearly overworked and understaffed as the check-in lines were long, the lobby was full and there were no available carts or storage for the dozens of people waiting (past the check in time) to get into their rooms. There were no available staff to help with the chaos and instead just a lot of harried front desk people trying their hardest to find rooms. As a result, we were late to our dinner and theatre reservations so all in all, it was a bad trip for us. We'll book elsewhere next time.
