motel was not modern, shower was built for a 4 ft tall person

We will stay again. The staff, the room and all were excellent. I highly recommend this place and a descent price!

I do not like my stay in this hotel because they treat me diferent just because I did the reservation thruu expedia, and I don't thing is a good idea instead of treat us better so we comeback.

it was very convienent for me to go from hotel to my destination the night attendent was very friendly and helpful as i was facing problem on internet for direction and she helped me a lot her name was kayt very good for customer service experience

We were so pleased we decided to stay at the La Quinta for a family wedding in St. Charles. Even though it was a 40 min drive to our destination, we were cautious about closer hotels with lower reviews. We had a great deal via Hotels.com and this hotel came through. The room was very clean and modern -- none of old, floral comforters you are afraid to sit on, hdtv, sitting chair, and enclosed closet. The staff were very friendly. We were on our way out and forgot to fill our water bottles. I asked at the desk about water and when she pointed out the water pitcher in the hallway, and I noticed it was empty, I said thank you and were just going to go to our car and stop along the way. The woman stopped me outside and handed me a bottle of water, which was unexpected, and also says they go beyond what's expected. The breakfast is standard: hard boiled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, a few pastries and breads, yogurt, oj and coffee. The only thing we'd have wished for was a bigger, fluffier bath towel, but they were clean and can't complain! We'd also have not chosen a room near the stairs and elevator, but that's pretty normal. Great hotel -- highly recommend.

This was one of the nicest hotels for such a reasonable price that we have stayed in. Very impressed and will definitely stay there again.

Older hotel but clean with large rooms. My husband travels a lot and has stayed here several times. Nothing fancy, but reasonable with nice staff, typical self-serve breakfast, near-by restaurants, etc.

Although we had a decent stay, this would not be my normal choice.With all neighboring hotels full we were pleased to find room here.

I like the place - reasonable and very decent.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Liked the size of the bathroom sink area. Would stay there again. The continental breakfast is pretty lame, not much choice. But they did keep the breakfast area open for 3 of us when we showed up just before they were to close. Very accommodating of them. They even asked if we were finished before cleaning up. We appreciated their thoughtful service.

The staff is always friendly and the hotel is very clean. We have stayed there twice in the last three months and will proably use this as our hotel whenever we come up to ILL.

No refrigerator in room, but room was nice,comfortable, and clean. Pool was closed for some reason...

Noisy, people drinking in the parking lot at 4 am had us disturbed.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. The decor was a bit tired, but I've stayed in much worse places than this. My main concern is cleanliness and this hotel was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, except for the receptionist when we arrived. She was really quite rude, but it was the end of a long day for her, so I didn't make a fuss about it. I suspect at this end of the hotel business their personnel work long hours for little money. You get what you pay for.

Overall a very good stay. It was clean, comfortable, and had no problems with service. It was convenient having a Chili's and a IHOP so close. The only negatives were the highway tolls you have to pay and the in room coffee maker was weak sauce.

Chose this hotel for "pet friendly" accommodations, and it was fairly close to daughter's apt.

The staff was very accomodating and the hotel was actually quiet. We never heard anyone from the adjourning rooms taking showers or doors closing. Very restful plact to stay and will stay again when back in Hoffman Estates.

Great location to get back on I-90

La Quinta is meeting all my expectations. Pool,breakfast,nice staff,good location, and clean. The price seems right or at least very competitive.

Enjoyed our stay, bed was very comfortable, loved the oceanview with sound on the tv!

I was plesantly surprised with the quality of the hotel. Very pleasant stay.

The first night after midnight someone was trying to get in our room, they then knocked we replied the room was occupied, the woman said she was from the front desk and that we were not supposed to be in that room. She asked for our name and made us spell it. How did I know she was really from the desk we couldn't see her through the peep hole. And how come if there key didn't work didn't she figure out that she had given them the wrong key to the wrong room. It is extremely frightening to be woke out of a deep sleep to someone trying to get into your room. I talked to the girl at the front desk on check out and she assured me a manager would call me but no one has yet to call. Very dissappointed, also my parents stayed on a different floor and they killed a small cockroach in their room.

I stayed at this hotel 2 nights on a business trip. The location was great for me...close to I-90. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, and the general cleanliness of the facilities. Restaurants are nearby. The breakfast was the typical high-carb offerings...but OK. I would stay here again.

I was impressed by the cleanliness and liked the way it was decorated. I thought the rate was fenominal.

Outstanding in every way, and at a great price. Large rooms, beautiful hotel, safe location. If I have one complaint it would be that there was no refrigerator in the room but other than that it is simply fantastic!

All was fine far from Elgin where we had our activity and no shuttle that far. Cost 35.00 for a cab. Breakfast as nice you waffle irons need help.
