I chose this hotel because of its location and because of the pictures. Upon arrival it looked good but getting there was very difficult. Although close to i-10, you must exit and then follow the service road back aroubf that was not easy to navigate. The room had a strange smell that I could not identify. It wasn't necessarily a bad smell but it just felt and smelled musty and older than the room looked. Overall, I felt the room was overpriced at $99 for the quality.

We did not receive clean towels daily, although our used towels were taken by housekeeping. The air-conditioner in our room did not work. After repeated efforts to cool the room, we were (finally) moved to another room. The "new" room had a loud rattle in the exhaust fan in the bathroom. In addition to all of this, the pictures I looked at on the internet were not reflective of the rooms they had to offer. I felt mislead.

Fine hotel but not nearly as good as the one in Houma, LA.

check out very unpleasant, We checked in at 2:30am and at 11:59 the phone was ringing and they were knocking at the door. after telling the front desk that I was running late. I was out by 12:10pm

Nice rooms, comfy beds, and the kids loved swimming in the indoor pool in January.

I don't think I've ever stayed at a Fairfield aIn before and I was pleasantly surprised. Rob at e front desk was very friendly and helpful. This location was close to IH-10, easy access as we were travelling. We went to Prejean's for dinner just 5-10 minutes away. The hotel had an indoor pool and hot tub--have not seen that before in a hotel at this level--very convenient. Coffee in the lobby, and small convenience store in the lobby which offered juice, snacks, soup, ice cream and Lean Cuisine meals. Nice if you were coming in late and didn't want to eat fast food. Our room was comfortable and updated. The free breakfast was good -bagels, waffles, fruit, yogurt, fruit cups and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was good all around, but nothing spectacular. The indoor pool and jacuzi was worth the stay and the extra money that we spent on the room compared to the other surrounding hotels, but everything else was mediocre. The hotel staff was not friendly, but not rude. The room was not sparkeling clean, but not dirty. I'd say that for one night while we were in town it was a good pick, but wouldn't want to stay for much more than the one night. I hope this helps others when choosing.

Recently remodeled and tastefully decorated. Std King rooms are on the compact side but comfortable. Staff was pleasant and our room was clean Hotel is on the edge of the rough section of town, so this is not a place where you would want to go walkabout in the evening. Most of the good restuarants are a considerable drive from hotel. Considering the the price point , breakfast was disappointing for a hotel associated with the the Marriot Brand.

The location was great, including near the Lafayette visitors center for information we would never have gotten otherwise. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

Located right off of I-10. Hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. A/C temperature was comfortable and keep the room nice along with the dehumidifier in the room. Located on the same strip as a lot of other businesses in Lafayette.

We had a very good stay. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate enough to get us just past Houston. The clerk on duty when we arrived was helpful in pointing out places to eat and the directions along with brochures.

My stay was very comfortable and the staff and accomodations were outstanding. The only thing that I had to complain about was when I first arrived at the hotel it was hard to see how to get there I drove up and down the interstate but after I found my way every thing else was great!!!

There were a few around that didn't seem on the up and up. Other than that it was excellent.

I loved everything about the place from the staff to the hot water from the shower.

The hotel was nice and clean. Room was very comfortable.

THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. OUR ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE A HERD OF ELEPHANTS WAS IN THE ROOM ABOVE US. WE WERE ON THE 2ND FLOOR. WE SPOKE WITH A GENTLEMAN AT BREAKFAST WHO WAS ON THE 1ST FLOOR AND HE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE WILL PROBABLY STAY HERE AGAIN AND JUST ASK TO BE ON THE TOP FLOOR.

Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at Fairfield Inn, I-10, Lafayette, LA. We got a fantastic price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife was in a meeting until 4:00 on the day we checked out and I had work to do on my computer. They let me check out at 2:00 (normal check out is noon), and then set up my laptop in the dining area until my wife’s meeting was over. Our room with 1 king-sized bed was a tad small but still comfortable. The people we traveled with had 2 queen beds and they said that the room was large. Part of the neighborhood around the property appeared to be run down and had vacant buildings but we felt safe. Property was fenced and well-lit. There were a couple of minor items that, if fixed, would have made my nice stay even better. The single-cup coffee maker only had ingredients for 1 cup of regular and 1 cup of decaf. My wife and I both drink regular… that and the fact that 1 of the 2 coffee cups was crushed meant that we could not both have coffee in the room. There was no shampoo in the room and the front desk was out. I will definitely consider staying there again on my next trip to Lafayette.

Not sure what kind of town Lafayette is, but the hotel wasn't in the best part of it (nor the worst either, but it was uncomfortably close to the "bad side" of town). The hotel was a bit old, the mini-fridge had no temp setting and didn't get really cold enough. The room wasn't as clean as we would have wanted, and the breakfast was unexciting with microwavable frozen sandwiches and cramped seating area. Probably you'll want to stay elsewhere for the money.

There was a huge brown/red stain on the carpet in front of the sink, the towels were paper thin, the hair dryer plug was broken and you could see the wiring in the mechanism -- that couldn't be safe, and my husband found blood stains on the sheets. Just disgusting.

Took 30 minutes of 800# telephone help to get us online. the day before at another hotel...no problem getting online. Marriott chain should do better.

I checked in and went upstairs to the room to discover I'd been assigned to an occupied room. Had to go back downstairs and ask for a different room. Bed was very stiff/hard and uncomfortable. Also, bed was so low to the ground that I felt like it was a mattress laying on the floor. Door handle on the inside of the room was broken, the entire handle came off in my hand as I tried to leave. Only one small mirror in the whole room was above sink, impossible for two people to get ready at the same time. When I got in bed, there was a maid's master key (that would unlock any room) in the sheets. I was very disappointed in this particular Fairfield. I have stayed at Fairfield's in other cities and was very pleased, and expected to love this one as well.

Our stay was alright. The window in our room was slightly open when we arrived and was difficult to shut. It let in a lot of traffic noise. The beds weren't very comfortable. Both my husband and I had back aches the next day. The attendant at breakfast in the morning was very friendly and helpful, as were all the employees we dealt with.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about my stay from the friendly and welcoming staff to the comfort and quality of the rooms. The customer service was top notch! Will stay here everytime I visit this area.
