Days Inn should dump this property

I stayed at this motel 2 years ago & never wanted to stay there again. Then I noticed that the ownership changed & I thought I would give it another try. It has improved, it still has a way to go. It is clean, but it needs some outdoor/indoor maintenance.

HOTEL VERY ADEQUETE.but isolated and scarey.good service,clean room.staff very polite and friendly.

This Days Inn was a bought out property, the sign was a cover over the old name. We booked here as it gave the best rate for pets, we had two small dogs with us. The first room we had, we found ants in the bathroom and on the night stand when we got up in the morning, the bathtub drain could not be closed so you could not take a bath, and there was no microwave or frig in the room. We were moved to another room, in this room the hair dryer had to be taken from the bathroom to the room to use, the outlet in the bathroom did not work, the floor lamp was missing the on/off switch and had to be unplugged to turn it off. The coffee pot was broken, and when we went to breakfast on Monday morning, there was no coffee or milk in the dinning area, also no coffee in the lobby, when I reported this to the desk I was told the manager would be in at 10AM to take care of this. We did not like the beds in either room. It looks like Days Inn took over this property and I hope they have plans to upgrade the property to a higher standard. The night staff were very good, we had the most contact with them, and the manager took care of moving us to another room in just minutes. The overall ratings were low because of the reasons stated. There was a gas station and an Arby's by the Inn, the Arby's was closed on Sunday, but there were a number of other food venders within 2 or 3 minutes drive.

We were looking for something cheap and close to Battle Creek. A little run down, but just off a freeway exit and 20 minutes from Battle Creek , it worked for us. If you just need a bed and shower, it should be fine.

They took over a different INN and are getting it in order. Nice but still needs some touch up. I would check out the cleaning better. I would recommend this place because eventually it will be really nice!

If looking for CHEAP and CONNVIENT place to just sleep fine. Don't expect much more. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling should cloud your view.Pillowcases on king pillow -standard ones so sleep on the part that covered..You get one bar of soap so make sure wash hands in tub or shower in sink. you get one small garbage so don't have much amd put in central location.NOTHING but place to sleep and don't take shoes off.

This hotel was chosen because of its close proximity to Albion College. Because of a snowstorm, this was important! The bed was fairly comfortable and the shower had good pressure, but you will not find any of the amenities that other Days Inn hotels offer. There was no channel guide for the TV (in fact the batteries were simply taped into the remote control!) no pen and paper on the nightstand, coffee packet but no coffee pot in the room, no tissue in the bathroom. They offer a continental breakfast, but there was only white bread and waffles available. There was dry cereal, but no milk! No juice, fruit, muffins, yogurt or other items you would typically see at a continental breakfast spread. The staff was nice but we noticed security cameras down every hall which was a little unnerving. There was a pool which looked like it was in good condition, but no one was swimming. I probably wouldn't choose this hotel in the future.

I arrived at 10:30 PM and while the night clerk was friendly, it took 15 minutes to check-in as he had to locate the paperwork. Next, even though I had paid Hotels.com in-full/online, I was given another charge of $37.05 and I was too tired to question at that time. When I got to my room, the electronic reader would not allow access and I had to get the clerk, who said this was a chronic problem and that one needed to pull the door handle up (it was drooping) to get it to work (I later had to show another late arriving guest the procedure)! There was no facial tissue in the room, no plastic drinking cups, "no ice machine in the motel" , a tray with coffee packets; but no coffee maker and finally, when I went to adjust the room temperature I noted the air intake filter on the heat/AC unit was crusted over with lint.dirt etc. The continental breakfast is another long story of disappointment!

There was no sheets, no shampoo/conditioner, no heat, the bead was tilted to one side, the hallways smelled like marijuana. There was a dr. Pepper can under the AC/heater unit. The only saving grace about this place was the staff. Very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at this location many times over the years. As of Dec 31, 2011, It looks recently upgraded, Service was Great, staff was more than friendly! It does not deserve all the negative comments I have read recently. Good place to stay after golf, or a casino trip!

The room was clean, the rates were great. It's no Five Star hotel but, for a couple of hunters it was great. I will stay there again!!!

The carpet and tile were not so bad, but the room and bed looked nothing like the pictures. Bed was almost on floor. Didn't get to hotel until 2 am so felt like I did not have any other options since I already paid for it. Not extra lock on the door. Did not sleep hardly at all.

This hotel was ok. Not the best but neither the worse, but decent enough for the price payed and convience of location. I'll stay there again, not there's much of a choice around there.

the sheets were dirty, the pool was empty, the wi-fi didn't work and the access point for the wi-fi was outside my room's door. both beds were broken and felt like i was sleeping on concrete. There was not even a remote for the 19" tv in the room. One thing the staff did positive was open 2 new pillow packages for my children. breakfast was sub par even for a 2 star motel. You definitely get what you pay for. directly off the exit, so not hard to find...

We rented 2 rooms 9/27/11 and we had already paid for the rooms or we would have never turned around and left. Our room had terribly uncomfortable beds the bathroom sink stopped up had to wash hands in bathtub, the other room was dusty the toilet stool was loose on the floor to where it wobbled. I have to say we have stayed in better hotels that cost a whole lot less when we stay around there again it will definatly no be there.

No lounge as was on the website. ice maker did not work, toliet kept running, remote did not work, took three times to get a new one. not in close proximity to anything except Arby's and the freeway. Had to ask for toliet paper, she made me feel like it was really putting her out to" go and find some." Also did not get many stations on the tv, when my husband could not watch his beloved sports team, that was it.

i dont know what all the negative reviews are about but this was a very nice hotel. the room was clean and bed bug free( i checked) the rooms were very clean actually. the pool was amazingly warm and fun and i would def come back. i was here on a fri night and it was pretty peacefull! would def come back :)

It is a formerly nice hotel that needs a little maintenance work. It has a decent breakfast for the price and an indoor pool as well as a refrigerator in the room. The hallways needed to be vacuumed and the chain on the door was missing but it was good for its price.

No ventilation in the bathroom, so we asked for another room and found that it had no ventilation, and the tub had been taken out. I had to use a cable tie to hold the shower head in place. The matress would roll upward at the foot when we'd lie down (the bed was very uncomfortable), and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. We were concerned about the lack of security, as the N.W. corner door was always propped open with a brick (anyone could enter, at anytime). We had to constantly kill small gnat-like insects that were in our room. The ice maker did not work for our entire one week stay, when I asked on the 1st evening if it would be fixed anytime soon the person at the desk said "not anytime soon"; it didn't get fixed, so we bought our own ice each day. On Friday and Saturday evenings, we got very little sleep, due to the parties that took place at the hotel. We were very very disappointed.

Our stay was very good at the Inn. Our room was cool and everyting was great. The only thing that was a problem was the door to our room. We had to use the key 10 to 12 times to get it to open. When I checked out I told the lady at the reservation desk about it and she said it would be taken care of. Other than that our stay was great. Thanks for everything. We will be back next year about the same time of year.

The desk clerk was handicapped by the fact that my reservation and payment information had not been forwarded to the hotel. We ended up having to retrieve the email confirmation from my personal email so that we could find a phone number to call to get the information the clerk needed. The information was not complete when it did come in, and a second call was required. Check-in took at least 45 minutes. The hotel was extremely hot, however, the clerk was pleasant. There were dead bugs in the bathroom, and the floor did not look as if it had been swept. There was not a complete set of towels in the room. There was no working ice machine or vending service. There was a small refrigerator in the room that froze anything on the top shelf. I found the bugs off-putting as well as the fact that I was put on a 'smoking' floor. I retain an impression that the place was undergoing renovation, but I did not see anyone working at it.

halls were hot ,rooms were warm ac was not working wright ,ice machine was not working .out side lighting was bad bad bad and driveway had big hole inone corner location was great . Staff was great and did there best thank you so much We had about 9 rooms

We stayed at this hotel for a dog show in July 2011, on first glance the hotel looked average of what we usually stay in with dogs, we were wrong. The first step into this hotel we realized there was no A/C in the hallways making it very uncomfortable to haul our luggage and crates and dogs up two flights of stairs which were cluttered with trash. Luckily we arrived late and just went to sleep. Friday evening we realized that they rent out their conference room for loud parties, and people streamed into the hotel for what seemed like a night club, around 1 am the police were called. The garbages were over flowing all weekend long, children screaming through the hallways and the hallways smelled like marihuana. The hotel claimed to be non smoking but reeked of cigarettes. Saturday morning we clearly displayed out Do NOT Disturb sign on our door, and when our friends left the room next to us, they verified the door was closed. After returning from the dog show we found the door to our room left completely open for God only knows how long lucking we had taken all of our personal belongings and cash to the show. By Sunday morning one of our puppies had an accident in her crate, we went to the front desk to beg for cleaning supplies, which we were denied because there was no housekeeping staff on duty!. The room had very little natural light and next to zero light from the one small lamp on the night table. We did our best to clean the small spot on the wall and the small spot on the floor using wash cloths and Pantene Pro V shampoo the hotel provided in the room. Upon leaving, 3 days later they call me and charge me $175 for 3 wash cloths, TWO bath towels that were not even USED to clean up ANY mess, and an entire set of sheets that had not been in any way shape or form soiled. This hotel is a SCAM, if you stay here I pray you do not have pets or any small children that may have an accident or get sick because you will have no way to clean up after them even if you expl

There was no bar/lounge as advertised on your sight.(the main reason we picked this hotel) All of the exit doors were , including the one to the pool, were propped open all day and night. Not a good safety feature. Also in a secludec area. The beds and pillows were suprisingly fabulous.

a true diamond in the rough. great and very helpful, friendly staff. we do not travel often, but this was one of the nicest inn's we have stayed at. our grandkids had a blast in the indoor pool and met many new friends.i would highly recomend staying here. the beds and pillows were sooo comfortable.and to me that is what staying at a travel inn is all about..a good, comfortable night's sleep.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

The air condioner was broke and made a bad noise every couple mintues The floor needed to be vaccum. The parking lot was very dark. I didn't thing it was approicate that people were in the breakfast room playing cards and drink beer.

Ofur room was newly decorated and very clean. The hallways and laundry room need attention. Employees were nice and helpful. Only there one night, no problems.

I walked in and walked out.... It is a dump - It would have been good if I had a prostitute with me....

We had a very nice stay at Albion Inn. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We would stay there again.

AS MUCH AS I DON'T WANT TO COMPLAIN, I WOULDN'T STAY THERE AGAIN, NOT EVEN IF IT WAS FREE. SO MANY THINGS WERE WRONG,FROM THE TIME WE CHECKED IN UNTIL WE CHECKED.

Over all was Ok. When I recieved my rm there was enough toilet paper to use bathrm 1 time, so I just decided to use the kleenex, rm got cleaned saturday and still left toilet paper empty. Saturday late afternoon I asked for two extra towels at front counter the lady with purple and blonde hair acted like we were stealing them and was actually very rude. I told her that we werent going to steal them. She just staired did one of those ugh remarks and went and got a towel. (Very rude )

A nice, clean place to lay your head if you have to be in Albion overnight. Everything you need. Nothing you don't need. What do you want for the price? I'd stay again.

Lobby was renovated and that's where it ended. Beds need replaced & bathrooms need remodeled. The heating/air appliance put out a terrible smelling odor. No overhead lighting. The room was really dark. Security on the doors was lacking. Continental breakfast was a starch fest; bagels, waffles, cereal, muffins. No yogurt, fruit, etc. Will not stay there again.

Work in process. Changes going on. Room was clean. Need new mattresses. Plumbing needed fixing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Albion Inn. It was affordable and everything was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable as well. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel did not supply blankets with the bedding and did not have any available. Our stay was quiet and nobody bothered us. It was close to Albion College and would have been our best option. The lack of blankets really bothered me, but I did not want to find another hotel. Also, the shower had very little water-pressure. Staff were pleasant.

convenient to be near the college otherwise don't bother
