The room was just ok. The toilet had problems and would run continuously after flushing. The air conditioning was very slow to cool the room. The tv had a buzzing sound when watching certain channels. That said it was fairly clean and the beds were ok.

Got a great deal here - stayed 3 nights for the cost of 1. Big room, great location, clean. Friendly staff. Low 'resort fee' compared to other hotels. Easy parking.

Very well kept hotel with friendly accomodating staff. If you just wanted to go to Vegas and not leave the hotel this would be a beautiful plav=ce to stay. The restaurants were excellent as well,

street noises loud even on the 16th floor

Nice loccation. Terrible care about guests and no information where to go with bags!

I really enjoyed this hotel. Recently updated decor. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The cafe has really good food. The location is great and the hotel wasn't overly busy like some of the other bigger casinos. I would stay again.

Convenient. Personnel are customer oriented - very helpful & accommodating. Wish there were more restaurants to choose from. Beach Cafe was good. Service excellent Reported broken bathtub safety handle. Hope they fix it.

The resort fee was waived on some of my friends because we did not use any of them like the internet and whatever things the hotel has to offer to its guests. We were having a class reunion and were out together all the time . I think it is unfair to charge me and my other friends had theirs waived.

The rooms should have a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. I understand the hotel would like us to spend our money downstairs. However, a small coffee maker is at the very least, a standard in any given hotel room. Everything else was exceptional.

Tropicana has done an incredible job of reinventing itself. The rooms don't look renovated, they look brand new- like you'd expect at a resort that had just opened. The casino is also renovated, and for us the smaller size (as compared to other Strip casinos) was a welcome relief. Food-wise, we ate off-site or stuck to the Beach Cafe, which has a very quality breakfast buffet- never a line for the omelet station. The one negative is that some of the staff appears to have not upgraded with the hotel. Many were extremely nice and professional, but our experience with a few was very lacking. When trying to check in, the 20 or so of us in line were sent by one gentleman to a different line. 5 minutes later, after he had left, another employee approached us and rudely asked us what we were doing there because check-in wasn't for 2 hours. We, of course, told her that we had been told just a few moments ago to stand exactly where we were standing. She said, very unapologetically, "well, I don't know who told you that, but you can't wait in line here". That certainly did not ruin the overall experience- for the money, this is a terrific place to stay.

It would have been an okay location if any of the escalators had been working, none of them were. However that is not the Tropicanas fault. The hike to our room was a bit of a walk but it was still manageable. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great time. I much rather stay in the paradise tower, since its so easy to get to. Still a little smokey in the evenings but the mornings seem fresh. We had a really nice time. Thanks

This hotel was a tremendous dissapointment. I returned from my "vacation" with a hacking cough from the disgusting carpet in the room and the cigarette smoke EVERYWHERE! The hotel itself needs an internal shuttle from the lobby to the rooms and the concierge staff knew nothing about anything that was not going to make them money ie bus locations, etc. Extremely dissapointed and would not reccomend

I scoured the strip for the best deal for 3 couples on the strip. This is the best deal right now. I expect their prices will increase as visitors come to appreciation the rennovation

Has been refubished to a very high standard, Very short distance to the airport which is a $15 taxi ride.The hotel is the beginning of the strip so you are in the action immediately.

And, once back in the comfort of what I call a "10-star" hotel, every classic opportunity avails itself for you to enjoy: from delightful, classy restaurants [Bacio and The Beach Cafe] to unbelievably comfortable sun and shade by the inland beach;from beautiful, well-equipped rooms to entertaining casino experiences; fom avant garde shows ["The Mob" and "Percussion"] to amazingly welcoming staff throughout the premises. You couldn't ask for more! And "www.hotels.com" will get you the best rate possible. If you enjoy being pampered, entertained, beautifully-fed and treated like royalty, this is the place for you. If you behave yourself, you'll love every minute!

While this hotel isn't as grand or flashy as some of the others, I found it to be really exceptional for the price we paid. The renovations are well done, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The entrance and casino area are bright and open, and not smoky at all. It's a smaller casino area, but I liked that since I wasn't there to gamble. The price was extremely reasonable - quite a bit less than some of the more expensive ones and not that much more than some of the lower end hotels. Three downsides - 1) we stayed in the Club tower so it was definitely a hike to the room; 2) I didn't like that the fitness room was only open until 7pm; and 3) the pool area was closed for renos when we were there. None of those were deal breakers, but when you're paying a daily "resort fee" you'd like to get to enjoy all of the amenities.

Couldn't ask for anything more. Superb value for money in a convenient location.

My wife and I got a good rate on our basic deluxe king room. Valet service was friendly and fast. Bell hop somehow showed up at our room just before we did. Must have some super powers or something. Casino smelled like smoke which is to be expected. But once clear of the casino it smelled like coconut. A very pleasent light smell. The toilertries in the room were also very pleasent smelling. Tub was huge and shower was average. Main problem is the new tower, The Club Tower. After driving for 2 days to get to Vegas the last thing I wanted to do was walk. The Club tower is through the casino then up an escalator, and then down a long walk way into the new tower. The older, Paradise tower, is about 20 yards from the front door. I wish they would have given us the option of the closer tower. The other issue was the pool not being open. They were remodeling and it was closed. Normally, if open, the walk to the Club Tower would have been cut in half. So, if pool was open I can relax by pool and not have such a long walk. When it was time to checkout, I called the bellhop to pick up our bags. They were there very fast (under 5 minutes), and were very, very friendly. Almost made me not want to leave. The bellhop walked with us all the way to the front desk, then met us at Valet. He then helped load the car and even helped with directions to our next destination. Overall, We loved the hotel and plan to stay there again the next time we go to Vegas.

We were very disappointed that the pool was not open and we had to pay a resort fee. The weather was warm enough and there were no chairs around the pool.

The price is right the location is convienant. Few little things in the room the bathrooms were not totally remodeled and the tub/shower area needs some attention with chaulking that is not sloppy. The bathroom floors are old as well but this would not stop me from staying here again. I was disappointed that the pool was not open and was not told this sine I had planned on staying a extra day for some pool time. They did offer the Excalibar accross the street but thats not convienant. Nice help its not a glitzzy place and I would say its not chick but it was quite and convienant.

Nice clean room, great for an overnighter or two,close to the airport, a quick 10-12 bucks to the airport in a taxi. Starbucks and a pizza place to eat a quick meal. Waitresses in the casino were very nice, staff constantly wiping and cleaning around machines, front desk staff very pleasant and a quick check in, no long lines. 24 hour convienience store for water and snacks. Great overnight stay.

While room appeared to be updated the washroom was dated, regardless overall room was OK

- Nice clean rooms, - Great views if you are on the right side of the hotel - Very Comfortable beds - Only complaint is somewhat overzealous cleaning staff, tried to enter my room around 9:30 AM, thankfully had the latch on.

Although it may not be quite as big and brash as some of its illustrious neighbours, I think that the makeover of the hotel has made it a pleasant place to stay in Las Vegas and would certainly recommend it as a quieter place to stay, whilst still giving you access to all the wonders that the famous strip has to offer.

First time in this hotel. Room clean and comfortable. Reception desk helpful. Just one issue: water bottles were not replaced after room service for 2 consecutive days, but after calling the room service the request was met very fast. Will stay again.

Hotel recently modernised, rooms of good standard and comfort. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good restaurants. Had a fresh appearance and casino lighter than several of the other casinos. At the airport end of the strip so very convenient for air travel.

A host who assisted me on check in was very welcoming and informative. Gave me an option of room levels, asked if I need special assistance and so forth - Once I checked in, noticed our safe battery, as well as TV remote battery was dead. Since we only stayed there for one night, I didn't make an extra trip to inform, but I made my way to front desk for check out and wanted to inform them so next guests wouldn't inconvenience their stay - the hostess who assisted me to check out and when I mentioned about battery & safe, her response was "did you know how to use the safe?" and response to the battery on TV remote was "sometimes has bad "beam" to the TV depending on where you're point at". My husband and I both work at hospitality/entertainment industry for over 15 years and I'm sure we knew how to use them. However, besides very minor disappointment, Tropicana did an awesome renovation, location relationship to the strip, are definitely thumbs up!

Location is good and close to other better hotels to spend the day,Hotel had no atmosphere or character so didn't waste any time or money there apart from sleeping there.The room itself was Ok if not for an uncomfortable bed that had seen better days.We asked for towels at the hot pool but never arrived so had to share a tiny one between us.No entertainment apart from a club that was dead on saturday night and closed after.Only one small Bar ,No coffee facilities in the room.

Great staff except for the hotel managers. Rooms are clean. Shower was not working, but that can happen :) My room was not ready so they've upgraded me to a suite on the 20th floor with a view of the whole strip 180 view. Excellent room. The casino is small, so I did not gamble there. There is a 14.50 resort fee per day which includes gym and wifi. It's mandatory so don't argue. I will probably stay there again, but there are better choices for the same money. This time was valentines and everything else was super expensive.

I would like to say I had a very good experience at The Tropicana. I would like to be able to stay in the front tower so I wouldnt always have to walk a long distance to my room. Plus my room was very clean except that my carpet was wet all weekend from the moment we checked in. I never called it in because the wet spot was located half way under the table so I just threw a towel over it and went on with my vacation. I would like to say I am very disappointed with how long it takes to bring me some towels or an extra trash can. throughout my stay i ored extra towels, as well as an extra trash can. the trash can took 30 exactly to bring up and the towels about 20 mins. I really would like to stay at your hotel again but with the compliant I have I am not sure if i would stay at The Tropicana again.

We were pleasantly surprised that all we had read about the update of this hotel was accurate. My husband and I stayed in the Paradise Tower, which was conveniently located to the front door. Once outside the front door, the strip is steps away. The rooms were lovely, quiet and clean. It was a great value for the price paid for this hotel! Our children stayed in the other tower. That is a longer distance from the lobby and entrance to the hotel, but they also had a nice, clean room. Another great value. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was less than friendly and helpful. Some customer service training needs to occur here. However, on departure, our experience with front desk staff was totally opposite. We had the friendliest, most helpful employee. During our stay, we had an issue with our toilet. The hotel staff was there to repair (they ended up replacing our toilet) immediately. Housekeeping came to clean up afterwards and did a marginal job. When asked about our stay upon departure, I related the cleaning experience and the Tropicana front desk employee refunded our resort fees to compensate us for the inconvenience. I did not ask for the refund so I appreciate the hotel empowering the staff to provide such service. Ample free parking.
